The vegan dumplings and cretons are absolutely delicious (we've never had one so good)! The coleslaw, beets, carrot and rutabaga mixture as well as the vegan omelet are good. The bines are correct without more. The pea soup and the vegetable soup are good. Although the fruit ketchup is good, we did not find what to eat it with (tasted with a spoon)? The potatoes are potatoes ... The downside comes from the desert: the grandfathers are very average and the pancakes are floury (not good at all) and despite the pretension of the menu, there was no pie in our meal. An interesting adjustment would be to sell the products individually or as extras. We would definitely eat this meal again with more dumplings and cretons (no breads needed; I have whole wheat at home) and more carrots and rutabagas, more omelet and coleslaw, but without dessert. Le bémol vient du désert: les grands-pères sont très moyen et les crêpes farineuses (pas bon du tout) et malgré la prétention du menu, il n'y avait aucune tarte dans notre repas. Un ajustement intéressant serait de vendre les produits à la pièce ou des extras. Nous remangerions certainement ce repas avec plus de boulettes et cretons (pas besoin des pains; j'en ai de blé entier chez-moi) et plus de carottes et rutabagas, plus d'omelette et de salade de choux, mais sans le dessert.

This place a the advantage of being divided in two main sections: restaurant-like tables and cafeteria-style for bigger group. I cannot tell for the smaller section as I only went there twice with big group of teenagers. The food was brought to the tables in little quantity so we constantly had to ask for more for everyone to be able to taste a little bit of everything. The food was also closer to cold than hot both times and very much average in taste and putting it this way is glorifying it. Pea soup is apparently good though according to those around me who've tried it. Food aside, the location is pretty. There is enough space to walk around and there are also animals to observe too (which can be either good or bad depending on your stance on the matter, personally I felt like in a pet shop).

Pas de tourtière, ni ragoût boulettes ici (bon ça, on l'avait lu sur le menu, mais ça manquait pour sentir l'abondance disons) De plus, manger dans des assiettes et bols en plastique, c'est très très loin de nos attentes / critères (faut il demander désormais si les assiettes seront bien de "vraies assiettes" dans les resto ???) Pour finir côté becs sucrés... entre nous, est ce vraiment du sirop d'érable à 100% sur les tables? (laissez moi l'ombre du doute...). Dommage. Nous reviendrons peut être voir votre vignoble, vous avez un beau terrain. Cependant, on nous a fait toute la promo pour le menu d'automne qui est "une coche au-dessus", il faudrait bien plus qu'une coche au-dessus... nous passerons notre tour. This sugarbush/vineyard/orchard packs a lot of product into what feels like a tiny place. This is only part of their land holdings however, set aside for tourists and group visits. The all-you-can-eat lunches and dinners are well prepared and worth the drive. Afterwards you can take a horsecart tour of the farm (about a ten minute ride). You can see trees being tapped up close and get a look at syrup being made. You can buy their wine and other products inside. Wait a bit into the season - say, the first week of March - to get the best selection of product and to see the demonstrations in full swing. Skip the "miniature farm", which consists of two goats, chickens and rabbits you can't get near enough to interact with, and a random assortment of domestic birds that seem stressed.

From a too salty omelet (and poor execution) to maple smoked ham that didn't even have a hint of maple. If it's bad enough the food was sub par the service was worse. We were seated and then after 20 minutes had to chase down a waiter to get service. They continuously forgot to bring simple items (40 minutes + 5 reminders for coffee and water ) and would not even bring sufficient food for our group . We were 4 and they would bring 3 breads for example. To make matters worse even though we stayed polite you could tell they were irritated when we reminded them for the items when they would come and ask if all was to our satisfaction. Stay away from this place at all costs. Not worth the disappointment.

I've never been impressed by sugar shack food, and this place offers same tasting food as everywhere else, but the difference is that they also offer vegetarian dishes and that kind of progression is to be applauded. What I also liked was that there was a tire sur la neige table right in front of the entrance where you can grab an unlimited amount of taffy whenever you feel like. This is way better than a lot of places that limit the amount of taffy you can have or limit the amount of time you can get it. Let's be honest sugar shacks, the food is not great, for thirty dollars we can hit up an upscale buffet on a Saturday night. We come for the maple syrup really, and at least this place understands that. Also, staff was very warm and helpful. The downside is the horse ride, it is $2.50 a person and basically you jump into a wagon that circles the parking lot.

It’s a good place and there is good food but there should be more of a variety of foods in the Entreé other than just pickled foods and cole slaw. And there should be more space to hold more people but you can have a big group and fit the majority on the same table. There also needs a more bigger variety of foods from Québec and more varieties of food with maple sirop in it because this is a Sugar Shack. There should also be a more bilingual staff for both the anglophones and francophones. But over all it is a nice place to hang out with friends and family.
