Awesome food, service and atmosphere! The owner was super nice gave us free drinks and made our stay awesome, even though we stayed 2 hours past closing. The staff was also nice and very welcoming. I will come back again and recommend you do too! Merci Jośe!

Alejandro Gay

Fantastic food at an affordable price right in downtown Old Quebec. Has a good classic French breakfast diner vibe with something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Alyssa Morrell

Came here on the first night of Quebec City. Ordered some dishes and waited for about 40 min with nothing came. Asked and they have all dishes came in 10min. Probably forgot our order. Poutine fries are not fresh fried because it’s cold. Other dishes like microwaved … pizza with no bottom dough. Not recommend. Two stars for service. The guy is funny and nice.

Amr ElSharkawy

Great ambiance! Great and friendly staff! The omelette was good. The apéritif (Caribou) was great! Lol!

Rommel Baduy

Lovely and so family friendly. We stopped by for dinner tonight and our 4 year old had her heart set on pancakes. Unfortunately they stop serving those breakfast foods at 3, but the server looked at her crestfallen face and said he would be right back after seeing if the kitchen would make an exception. They were so accommodating and she loved the pancakes - thankyou so much!! My lasagna was served with a nice salad and a basket of bread for the table. Dinner was speedy and it was an amazing dinner destination for our family. I would definitely go back for breakfast, but recommend the friendly staff and delicious food for any meal. (Also the staff were fluent in both languages and able to make friendly small talk in either... which is nice for the anglophone crowd!)

Terrible service, bad manners and mediocre food. 1. They messed up with our order. We ordered Combo consisting of spaghetti and Ceasar salad and Pastamania which also includes the same salad. They brought one salad and gave it to my wife (she ordered Combo). After she already ate it and they didn't bring the second salad we asked and found that the second salad would come with the spaghetti on the same plate so my wife ended up with two salads. That was confusing. 2. The service was terribly slow. Pasta took 1 hour to come. 3. The food was okay, but no more. Nothing great. 4. The restaurant pretends to be a bit on the expensive side ($$ in Google), but the actual level of the restaurant is only 1$. Neither service nor food matches the pricing so I didn't leave any tips and was rudely reminded by the waiter about that.

Thomas George

Do not be fooled by the rating 3.9, We went there to ask about the breakfast menu the night before, the owner started to give us attitude and seemed bothered and annoyed to show us the menu, so we walked right out, avoid going there, do not give him your business.

Brian Jarman

intimate setting, delicious food, great view.the crêpes were perfect and had the texture of silk.

Vincent Beaudry

Good food, lively warm friendly atmosphere. Service was great.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!(keep reading) The food was well overpriced for its quality. I had an omelette with bacon, potatos, onion and herbs(not sure what those fruits were doing there, maybe something healthy for after). Food was very greasy and no taste. But the worst came at the end... Waiting in line to pay, the customer in front of me decided not to include tips in his card(his wife was looking for something on her purse, maybe cash for the tips), the cashier got angry and told him he had to pay his tips on the card and then she bad mouthed him, in French, to the person next to her(little I know of French, it was a swear). While I'm waiting for the machine to use my card, they continued talking about him... He then left without leaving any tip. Finally, The treatment he received cost them any tips I could give.

dinalyn tabaranza

Amazing food, friendly staff. They made my crepes exactly the way I wanted, and the fruit was so fresh. Beautiful building, moderate prices.

Awesome place to stop by! Great dessert and drinks. Really good service&fair price

The restaurant is so lovely and homey, the owner and staff are extraordinarily friendly. The food was scrumptious and fresh every time we visited. Ty l'Omelette

This place started off fine, the waitress was nice and found us a seat by the open window, my wife and I ordered a bottle of wine and the chateaubriand all was well until the waitress was plating the food, she dropped a slice of the chateaubriand on the floor, she picked it up and said she would get another slice of meat but what she actually did was rinse it off and have the chef cook it some more then brought it back and thought we would not notice it was the same piece she had dropped. With the times being what they are she could have just said sorry and knocked the price down a bit or comp a dessert or something but nothing not a cent off or a comp, The owner came around when we first arrived but was nowhere to be found when this all went down. So the food was good but as far as making the customer important, NOT A CHANCE ! In these time eat here at your own risk.

Tom J

Quaint little breakfast place in Old Quebec!! Nice atmosphere and good food and friendly staff????

Terina M

Awesome place for breakfast in a romantic french feeling restaurant. Good food, good ambiance!

Jackie Rusch

We came here on new year's day and had a wonderful breakfast with live music!

Cam MacMaster

Great hospitality. We stopped in for a quick drink. Didnt eat here. The owner was very funny!

Richard Hartman

Great choice for a Quebec breakfast with super service

Oleg Olefirenko

Very friendly staff and delicious food with great service

Paula Barrios

We were left waiting for almost 1.5 hours. Worst thing is that they didn’t even take our order during that time. It doesn’t stop there. They argued and fought with us to mandatorily pay 15% tip.

We had a late dinner here on a cold, snowy night. The food was excellent. Very tasty and good portion size. The prices were fair for the area.

Jeremy Porritt

After 10+ plus minutes waiting we ordered the lasagne, penne, garlic bread and a side of fries. The sauce on penne was thin and watery with a sour taste. The fries tasted like they'd been cooked the day before, stone cold and stale. As for the garlic bread there was 3 very small pieces that were extremely hard and just kind of flaked off into dust when bitten not to mention they tasted not at all like garlic. After paying for the overpriced garbage classified as food the waiter felt the need to remind us to tip. On our way out, after leaving a poor tip, the waiter yelled at us "wow thats generous" across the room. Can't believe such a restaurant is still open, you could not pay me to go back.

My two kids and I had lunch at L'Omelette yesterday and were really happy with our meal. The service was fantastic, the best on our trip so far. The pizza and pasta was delicious, which was topped off with scrumptious strawberry shortcake. The Maitre D was very hospitable and full of character. We're definitely going back, as well as to the Cafe de Paris which is connected next door.

Steven Garrido

Very rude staff, food arrived very late, cold and small portion, after asking the waitress why it took such time she started yelling at us. I ordered a plate with 2 eggs and I asked her if she’s seeing two eggs so she touched my plate trying to cut my eggs so that she could show me that it was 2 eggs portion! Would not recommend this place at all!

Sumit Mathews

The food was so bad , small portions and bad service. I do not recommend this place at all.

Abhilash Kunnatoor Margabandu

Delicious food, quick service. A bit overpriced for what it is. I had the eggs Benedict and it was the perfect sauce. Pea soup was a broth style and also excellent.

Brad Ives

A very delicious breakfast with a friendly staff that was polite and prompt on making sure my coffee and our waters were always full and always available if we needed anything else.

Lisbeth Carolina Segura (Diva)

Stumbled upon this gem of an eatery walking back from the Citadel. Breakfast and everything else, all day. Laid back, casual, inexpensive. Friendly, attentive staff. Delicious, well portioned meal. Omlette was as good as it gets. Came with potatoes, toast, fruit, all good.

Deepak Sharma

Great food and service. Duck conffit poutine was excellent. Great specials

Alexandria Pizzola

It was different than our usual american breakfast, croissants, crepes.

Irene

It was a quiet November morning. Only a few people in for breakfast and we had the best service possible. They spoke English well, constantly refilled the coffee, the toast came buttered with real butter. A great start to a french day.

vladu789

Excellent food and service. Good prices. Amazing hot chocolate.

Ali

Very romantic spot, great house wine and traditional food, not expensive. Best lunch!

Xènia Armadàs

The coffee was watered-down muddy water, the omelettes, both spanish and mushroom were tasteless, the potatoes tasted like they were grocery store prepackaged reheated frozen potatoes, and the toast were dry. This was one of the most expensive and worst meal we had in Quebec City. To add insult to injury, there was a tip recommendation on the bill. I have to say that it's a nice restaurant and the wait staff was nice and courteous. Not worth the money.

Tim Mason

Bad service. Manager was rude and angry and unfair. We left to eat elsewhere instead

Stephen Botts

Filling breakfast at a fair price. Friendly service.

Scott Young

My husband and I and our 2 kids had supper at this restaurant , I had pasta , husband had veal cutlets , kids ate pea soup and pizza. NoNe of the above tasted good, actually it tasted like frozen food that was warmed up in a microwave. And we paid 90$ for this, don't waste your $ at this place ! Very disappointed.

Mike Kruszelnicki

$6 for a Dempster's bagel and coffee. Very disappointing food. Service and ambiance good, so a ???? for that.

Cozy spot next to a busy street. had a delightful evening with my wife with some simple pasta and wine. Great place to relax after a long day for dinner. Staff is very efficient and helpful. Knowing we were tourists we didn't feel treated any different than the locals who were also packed throughout the restaurant. Bilingual without missing a step, no trouble with our order at all.

Arun Mistry

Good breakfast with decent service. Nothing worth writing home about though. Benedict eggs were over cooked with no ruininess.

Fernando Mares Guia Jr.

Excellent service and cozy atmosphere. Very reasonable price structure and good food

Katisawriter

Great food. But outstanding service is what made us go back two days in a row. Jose is just incredible with his humor and kindness. Will definitely be going back when we are in Quebec

Elisabeth Medeiros

Warmed smoked salmon on a flaky croissant was delicious. Coffee was not good so ended up ordering a tea, which was hot. The pea soup was only warm. Overall ambience is good. Friends enjoyed their breakfast more than our overpriced satisfactory lunch.

Giovanni Marchioretto

The food was good, but service was very slow even though it was not full and not a peak eating time.

Laurian Staicu

Quaint, simple and homestyle diner-esque restaurant serving simple and traditional local dishes at a very affordable price. The staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive along with going to extra mile to have personal conversation with guests near closing. The food was hot and delicious. Much better hospitality, value, and atmosphere than a few surrounding "upscale" places (especially Feu Sacre). We will be going back for breakfast before our trip ends. Merci beaucoup! (They also have one of the largest pepper grinders we have ever seen)

Fred

Excellent friendly to English speaking tourists. Terrific food

James Tanliao

Typical tourist trap restaurant. Way too expensive compared to other, better options nearby. The food was just okay, and the service wasn't great.

Maurice Guertin

A quaint setting, though you'd be hard pressed not to find such a setting in Quebec City. The food was just okay, but the friendly staff made the experience very pleasant.

Victor Boissiere (Tivbroc)

The ambience of the location is very nice and the waitresses are all perfectly bilingual and very friendly. I found the food to be a little bit overpriced for the quality. I was unhappy with the fact that the $5 orange juice was not fresh squeezed but just orange juice from a carton. I did like the two mimosas for $10 deal.

Jeff Carter

We just loved this place - we can twice (our first 2 nights in Quebec.). The staff was awesome and the service was great. My omelette was incredible and the second night we wanted to share a salad and pizza and they every split it up for us to share. The wine selection was great and the place was cozy.

Carolyn Pecorella

Service was fantastic and courteous, my breakfast was great.

Vinod Kumar

Nice place, good breakfast meal, wonderful service

Diana Soler

The best omelette I ever had. The waitress was very kind and cheerful making our experince to notch.

More Memorable Events

Very disappointing food for Quebec City. We had French toast, and a traditional one egg breakfast; both were tasteless and cheap. The staff were friendly but I would suggest skipping this place and trying something else.

Leeland Watson

The quiche was a bit burnt, the fries dry, but the cake was good. I somehow felt I wasn't that welcome here. The servers kept coming to my table more than it would feel comfortable, and brought the bill without asking. As a matter of fact, when I stepped in, the greeting was "Can I help you?", as if I was to realize that I'm not supposed to be here. Next time try "Welcome", it's better. Otherwise the place is cozy, and there's nothing that can't be easily improved. The bread and butter before the meal was a nice touch. I really only give just 4 stars because of the burnt quiché, and the failure to even say sorry when I pointed at the charred pieces on the plate.

Dion MacConnell

Lovely, quaint atmosphere with great food!

Nikkon Ransheed

Worst service I’ve ever experienced in my entire life - and that’s saying a lot as I am on the road a lot for work and eat out all the time. The place was nearly empty when we arrived and then there was a huge surge of people. The manager (older guy with grey hair) proceeded to seat all the people and go around taking their orders. We were forgotten about so I kept waving servers who would look at me and give me the one minute hand signal. This went on for about 10-15 minutes. I finally went to the cash and tried to order there after calmly explaining my situation and the manager got visibly agitated. He walked me back to the table and then absolutely went off on me. He waved his hands in my face and verbally abused me in front of the entire dining room. He then yelled at us as we were leaving, spewing lies about how we can’t wait five minutes when we had been seated 35 minutes ago and hadn’t even ordered drinks. Truly a horrible experience. In addition to this, the waitress did not speak any English (I speak French but my partner does not) and the menu was crazy expensive (ex: $20 for a crispy chicken poutine). Would avoid at all costs.

Rohit Jajoo

Great selection of breakfast menu items. The breakfast poutine was absolutely amazing. Service was rapid, and food was served piping hot.

Karthick K

Excellent place. Excellent breakfast. Marvelous service. We were in time crunch. Had to catch a tour. Requested for quick food and OMG what a service. Highly impressed. Thanks for feeding us well in time. Keep it up. ????

Roberto Ocampo

Great place, a little cramped but outstanding service and quality of food. The price are really good too.

Louisa Zaffino

Standard place little slow on service even when empty lol. Food tasted good home fries from a bag and creton packaged

Judy Ryeland

Nicely placed restaurant with tons of choices. The prices were nice and the portion pretty big. I recommend the yogurt with fruit or the croissant aux amendes. Taste lovely

Catherine Clifford

We are visiting Quebec city from Ottawa. Had breakfast at L’Omelette and was amazed by the quality, service, cleanliness… The staff is SUPER friendly and the table was WOW cozy! Best place for my favorite meal! I had “La Quebecoise” Oh! And the coffee ❤️

T Bremner

Very delicious food. Definitely recommend the Stirloin. It was very juicy and delicious and you could choose how they cook it. Definitely coming back next time!

Letitia C

The Crepes were excellent! I also topped off with a mimosa to kickstart my day. L’Omlette is a great place to start your adventures in Quebec City.

Amazing place. Eggs Benedict was the best breakfast plate and the québécoise breakfast plate my boyfriend had was delicious! Especially the tourtière. Friendly staff and cute decor. Would recommend!

Maxime Turcot

Good service although the price quality quantity ratio sucks. Way too expensive for the quality of the food. I regret coming here I paid for one adult one kid what would cost me a lunch for 2 in a better restaurant elsewhere. Not recommend

Suchita Ganesan

Variety of cafe food along with a full bar. My wife had the BBQ Poutine, which was delicious. I had a Croque Monsieur which was decent. I also had a dirty gin martini, don't judge me. It was perfect. The best part was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and a lot of fun. Definitely worth a try!

Viviana Aguirre

Delicious with an extensive menu of anazing local food both French and English!! Excellent service and lovely staff.

Nikita Ambekar

Friendly staff and amazing breakfast! Lively ambiance and place has a good vibe.

Anna Jos

Nice place for a breakfast. Coffee was...ok.. but I'm tricky about my coffee! I took the crepe français but they didn't seem fresh to me. Maybe it was just the mix they use. Service was great and it ticked many boxes.

Ang P

Hated the coffee tasted completely burnt, super expensive for what it is. The Chocolate croissant is just sad.

Evan Leibovitch

Great place for breakfast or an evening snack! Had a good dinner and some amazing drinks !

Yasmin Serrano

Nice little place to find a meal with good prices. Also, really enjoyed the atmosphere and feel of the location. The staff was helpful and knowledgable answering question about the city and food. The rabbit was juicy and flavorful. Also, enjoyed a local drink called the Caribou which is served warm.

Just like other places in Quebec City, this breakfast place didn't disappoint us. Known for its omelettes (atleast 12 different omelettes in the menu), it is definitely one of the places you want to visit if you want experience Europe in North America ????

Cory Muddiman

Fantastic food. Friendly service, however it felt like a very long wait until the food came. Always filled with people which tells you how popular it is. Good bang for the buck.

We went with a group of 12 people. Very much disappointed with customer service and the manager were so rude demanding tip of 15% . Took 1 hour to get our order. Very bad service and demanded for tip. Don't go to this place.

Simple breakfast, good prices, excellent service.

Todd Sennholtz

The food was great, the servise was excellent, the staff was very helpful.you guys deserve 6 stars.

I am visiting Quebec and wanted to eat at a local place to practice my French. This place is perfect. They are very friendly and the food and drinks are great.

We went here for brunch and the places looked very rich. The food was a little bit which is why my expectations were a little bit more then the food they served. Maybe I just am not used to taste but I ordered a pizza and I have plenty places that serve better pizza then this place. We also ordered omelet but it was nothing special, the place was clean and decent staff.

Kevin MacLeod

The English-speaking waiter was a lot of fun, and all the staff were efficient. Our pizza was quite tasty. Points off for the sub-par maple syrup pie, which was a bit dark and dry, and had a big air bubble in it (we got it to go, or I would have sent it back).

Sleepy Mage

Good food. Service a bit spotty but friendly. Mistake on bill, but corrected easily.

Kay B

An unbelievably disappointing 'meal'. Ordered the "fresh mussels" and found the first I ate to be inedible and rubbery (and not hot) and the second to be surrounded by ice. The artichoke hearts in the salad stank and weren't edible either. The fries were soggy. Good local beer though (which I hoped they'd comp after serving me frozen shellfish). What's more scary is that I think it's the same kitchen as the cafe de Paris. Don't go.

Grant Lafontaine

Poutine was delicious! I also got the crepes which were good.

Wayne Geiser

Generous plates! Luved the poutine

Louise Borg

An absolutely perfect cheese and mushroom omelette, so fluffy and savoury, perfect consistency and incredible taste. The restaurant has wonderful, historic ambience, service is friendly and prompt, and very attentive, refilling my decaf coffee several times and checking that everything was good, and it was exceptional. Definitely returning whenever we can. What a terrific restaurant.

Cathi MacConnell

My husband and I came here in the summer about 10 years ago. We loved the ambience and the warm decor. The food was great so we decided to come here again. We had the ‘make your own omelette’ and grilled cheese. The omelette was perfect. The side of potatoes were crispy and yum. The grilled cheese was simple but perfect. The salad that came with the grilled cheese was really good. I liked the dressing they used. We also ordered a blueberry-orange smoothie which was quite refreshing. The customer service was great. We came back here in the night for dessert as they had some baked goods. We ordered the double chocolate cake and vanilla cake. The vanilla cake was good but the double chocolate cake was delicious! We also met the owner that night. He was very welcoming. He offered us a round of shots with whiskey and maple syrup on the house to celebrate our anniversary (we had come to Quebec City to celebrate our anniversary). It was such a sweet gesture. It made our night. He even gave us candies to take home for our kids. Definitely a great breakfast place in town.

BigJBrone (Bigjbrone)

We had breakfast 3 mornings in a row and enjoyed each! There was a minimal wait, and the staff were attentive and gracious. Food was terrific, habituated by locals, and very clean - an easy win for our hotel location (across the street!). Planning to visit again, we'd be soliciting L'Omelette for sure.

Pamela Ricks

Hostess gave us menus and told us to wait. 5 minutes later another couple wandered in and she sat them ahead of us. Got worse. She then didn't recognize us from 5 minutes ago. Then waiter tells us 'Too bad' and says we are rude. Manger finally intervened, barely. Pathetic service and arrogance.

Scott Campsall

Great experience! Waiters are Kind, food is good and enviroment transports you donwntown Paris.

Beatrix Lastofka

Cute and cozy breakfast / lunch / brunch restaurant well located in the old city. Service is impeccable and food is great, warm and pretty. The tables are quite close to each other as the inside architecture was kept original and makes it feel a bit small. But it looks beautiful and really inspiring ! No parking option available nearby. Not recommended for people with restricted mobility.

Felicia Flowitt

Best breakfast and mimosas in Quebec City. It's amazing, tasty, and the staff wonderful. A must.

Daniele De Pinto

Really surprised how this restaurant is still in business, i have never seen such unprofessional staff, wasted time and money, cold food, disappointing portions, and rude waiters/waitresses. Would never set foot again nor recommending. Would appreciate if the owner contacts me to figure out what happened.

Tom Paquin

Love how cramp but cozy at the same time the place is. Food is delicious. One of the few resto that open early in the morning.

Kat B

Great breakfast. The omelets are delicious. Decent service. I would say it was very busy when I went, that may have affected service somewhat. Not bad service, not great. Food was spot on.

Tim Gibson

Tasty meals and all the food is fresh. Service was quick and very responsive. Didn't like the coffee. Nice place to come for a breakfast.

Cat Sheedy

Great experience with exception of the one older staff that tried to rush us out.

Stephane Landry

Was there last weekend for breakfast. Asked the waiter what else came with the omellette (i have lots of allergies) he said only breakfast potatoes and toast. My plate came, food was good. I had 2 bites until i realized my food was sitting on a bunch of fruits (which im severly allergic to) i had to stop eating and go outside for fresh air and take allergy medications. My airways were swollen, face was red and puffy and i had rashes all over my neck and mouth. I could not do anything for the rest of my day in Quebec because of the side effects of the medications and of the allergic reactions. So bassically i paid for a meal i didnt even eat. While we were there, the waiter did not check on us, or bring us more coffee. Overpriced for the experience we got. Sadly, i will not return.

Martin Miller

Cute and cozy. Good food and good price for breakfast. It has an old world charm and looking out the window makes you feel like you are in Europe. Definitely would go again.

Tamás Polgár

Was such a delicious experience. Service was prompt and attentive and the food was generous. Had the eggs Benedict and the breakfast poutine. Would definitely recommend

Jazz Land

Really good food and drinks. Super friendly staff who speak English and French, the owner Jose is almost always around, ready to chat with you at any time.

Matthew Anvik

We ate here our first night in Quebec City. The prices are reasonable, and the food is good. Nothing really stood out, but it was serviceable. The staff were pleasant and efficient. We were served fairly quickly, something we later found to be unusual in some restaurants in Quebec City. We passed by here when looking for a quick meal as my 1 year old was about done for the night. They seated us quickly, brought us some drinks, and the food followed shortly thereafter. I really wanted some Poutine while in Quebec, and they delivered, That alone was worth it.

Barbara Wilson

The place inside is charming, and reminds me of my grandmother’s home, where time is preserved and everyone is made at home and welcome. My coffee came in an adorable puppy mug. I don’t know, I was not such a fan of the eggs benedict. The muffins were a bit under-toasted for my liking. The waitress honoured our time crunch and made sure that our food came for us to make our tour at the Frontenac. I think next time I will try the omelette - my husband said it was delicious!

Steve Dale

The breakfast here was divine. It's a nice quaint place and price is very reasonable.

Lucy Avro

I would say service was terrible but it was practically non existent. Spend 2 hours, asked for the bill because I wanted to leave and even that took some time. Asked for ice cream, never got it. Food was ok, absolutely not worth the price. please don't eat here, not worth your time

Ievgeniia Zasoba

Delicious fresh food, icy cold drinks, fantastic service and great prices.

Nice Ambiance. Very friendly staff. Very good Service. Very nice food too..!! I enjoyed the poutine..it was really nice. Good Vegetarian options. Overall very nice..

Nice chic place at an amazing location in old Town

Sean Winnie

Always a good spot. Crepes are good. Croissants are great. Very friendly staff and beautiful place.

Andrei

Excellent customer service. Our expectations were exceeded, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, delicious and with a nice presentation. They gave a little gift to my little niece and overall we were very pleased. I will recommend this place and go back soon. ????

James

Huge omelettes! Order one! You won't regret it! Cute dining area. Fast and friendly service. Wish they included more breakfast sausages in their regular breakfast and that their potatoes were crispy. Overall, decent breakfast joint.

Deepan Shanker

Really great experience. Very good food and extremely nice owners. The best service we got in Quebec City. They gave us bread and lots of water which was much needed at the time. Good english as well and they put up with my rusty french, ha.

Parth Patel

Came in for breakfast on a whim, probably around 9:30 on a Saturday. We were seated right away, with easy accommodations for our baby. Food was spectacular across the board. Highly recommended the Québécoise…great meats and mix of flavors. We both loved it.

Nicola Dawn

Friendly staff, quick service, a view overlooking the street side with roses and vines lining the windows. Delicious food for a fair price within a short breathtaking walk from anywhere in Vieux Quebec.

Ann B

The tourtière is amazing. I wholeheartedly recommend the breakfast #5 just for that. Great service and ambiance too.

Teresa J.

Awesome place! Really good food, lot of choices, cheap, good service except that it takes a very long time before being served. That's why I only gave 4 stars.

Meghan Mullin

Pizza was Average taste. Burger was good. Could have been better service for the price thats being charged.

Charles Coutu

We had an amazing breakfast

Keith Edginton

It was the worst experience ever, the food came late and COLD. The waiters and the manager were super super RUDE, they disrespected us. I don’t recommend it, avoid it at all costs.

Veronika Pupko

We had an excellent breakfast in this little petite rustic diner in the old Quebec city. Its located minutes away from the Fairmont. The diner is beautifully decorated with some antique tools. Very comfortable sitting arrangement. The service is excellent. Delicious hot food served. Their crapes are something to die for. Our Server Nick and Ms. Nadine were very kind to help us out as we are not French speakers. Please arrive early as the place get packed pretty quickly. Will definitely visit again.

Rita Gupta

Has a good classic French breakfast diner vibe with something for everyone in the family to enjoy. great staff and very friendly.. good location.. great value for money!!!

james gilchrist

I love this place. Every time a friend visits Québec, I take them to this restaurant, never disappoints. I always order the savory crepes, so so so very absolutely yummy, and that's coming from a picky person. Very friendly owners. And the great thing is that I always find a table available, no need for reservations.

Vic T

Bad service. Waiter takes order for beer, another one brings them but mixes up the two orders. Finally another waiter takes the food order and manages to mix it up again. We were a party of three

Julie Kucera

Excellent place for breakfast. Sumptuous healthy meal, a great way to start the day. They have a variety of options and prices are very affordable. Service is quick and nice ambiance.

Zachary Melanson

We ate here twice, a lunch and a dinner, during our short stay in Quebec City and were very happy with both food and service both times. Only the fries were merely OK, everything else was well cooked, well presented, and tasty. And the service was pleasant, observant (water glasses kept full) and fast.

Kevin Smith

Wonderful and very friendly staff! Highly recommend

Dorin Marian

Nice place, but the food I had was bad. One of the worst chicken Caesar salads I’ve ever had, coffee was weak and awful too

David Sherwood

The service is good but the food is bland and overpriced. We liked the appetizers better than the main courses. A steak ordered medium was brought well done.

Grace Li

Friendly and nice Sevice but very slow, our waitress was very nice, food delicious and good portion, very good price.

Keith Cantrell

FOOD WAS TERRIBLE AND WAY OVERPRICED. MY WIFE DIDN'T WANT TO TIP BECAUSE THE FOOD WAS SO TERRIBLE AND THE WAITRESS CHASED HER SCREAMING FOR HER TIP. For my fellow Americans visiting Quebec AVOID THIS RESTAURANT. TERRIBLE.

Faisal Faris

Unprofessional staff.Food portions were small, and food arrived cold. Won’t come back. In addition, the photos posted are not representative of their actual food.

Went there for dinner. Their service was lackluster, but not because of any of the waiters/waitresses. Rather, the issue was the ambience, pricing and quality of the food. Ordered French onion soup, and it appears that instead both my friend and I received what tasted like hot water. Flavorless doesn't even begin to cut it. No amount of pepper and salt could rectify the issue. Next, the main course that was stated to be served with "salad and fries". The fries were dry as hell and the "salad" consisted of two pieces of limp lettuce and one slice of tomato. All this cost us 70$. Excluding tip. Really wouldn't recommend this place for anyone.

Stanislav Genis

This was the first eatery we visited on our long weekend here. It was one of the best for service, our coffee and waters were always full, they spoke fluent english and the food was great

michael cademartori

I fell in love with this place. I would give 8 stars if this was possible. I will add them here! ???????????? Real, rich, authentic feel of Quebec hospitality. The breakfast was great, and very likley complemented by the bubbly staff and happy customers. We came three days in a row... We needed not be convinced any more then the first time of our trip. I thank the servers for all the wounderfull suggestions for local sights and things to do. Very frendly place for our of province visitors.. The servers were more than happy to entertain our English conversations.

Barry Davenport

Excellent crepes and baked goods. Enjoyed the mimosas and the friendly service

Zips

Breakfast was small. The eggs were small eggs. The sausage small. Small portion of potatoes. I would skip this place if youre going for breakfast. Waitress was very pleasant.

Eshna Kabir

Extremely disappointing, waited 40 minutes for an overpriced omelette & chicken sandwich/cold fries. Service was rude and unprofessional, waitress visited us once to take orders but never again. Staff running around panicked, shoving people without saying excuse me - bizarre and will not be back! Not worthy of a tip or even paying for my meal.

Food was good and service was really nice too. My little son and niece got balloons from the staff and lobed their grilled cheese. Bathrooms could be better.

V.Gabino Vargas Reyes

Best place for breakfast. Service in English wich is very rare in Quebec and very friendly. Food excelent

Angie Maldonado

Good breakfast. Found prices a bit high for quantity. Servers attentive and helpful.

John E

Great place for breakfast. A lot of omelette selections. Service was fast and food was hot. Only complaint is that the chairs were.not comfortable.

Kaleigh Eliot-Ritchie

Bruce White

Not very impressive salad, it was a few salad leaves, a lot of onion and a little bit of tomato. Didn't live up to the price. The staff was very friendly though!

Srilatha kalli

Had our anniversary supper there last night. Service was incredible and food was great. Drop by for a special occasion. You won't regret it.

Johanna Alvarado

Dirty place and bad food. Also be careful, they try to rip you of if the realize you are tourist. Skip this place place.

Ziyi Lee

Great place for breakfast. I had spiced omelet, it came with potato wedges and bread.

sushmitha gowda

Lovely afternoon Cocktails by the window. Hosts were extremely friendly.

Antonie Cuerrier

The service was great. We are traveling as a large-ish group (5) with an infant on top of that. They accommodated us very well. They gave us a large table and took our stroller aside and gave us a high chair with a tray. We were grateful for the space and the ability to help with our baby. The food.... Well, we went for dinner and they had a series of specials. It seemed great. Choice of soup or salad, main, and dessert. We each ordered a different item, but all decided on the salad. The salad came with very little dressing, which is typically fine, but it was basically lettuce, bell peppers, and onions (white onions). Not at all the refreshing salad any of us were looking for. Once our main dish arrived, there was an additional salad on each of our plates. At this point we all regretted ordering the salad as our starter. This second salad was merely lettuce and had a sweet mustard dressing. Much better! All of our main dishes seemed to be cooked as bulk tray items which they would just take what was necessary as people ordered. It wasn't super fresh, and was overall, underwhelming. For dessert we had two options, which are not advertised before it is time for dessert. They were not bad, I just like to be informed. Either cheesecake with cherries or a mocha hazelnut cake. I ordered the cheesecake and again was underwhelmed. It wasn't very cold and seemed to be missing the normal sweet factor you expect cheesecake to offer. My family did not mention anything regarding the other option. The food is okay, not terrible, but probably not worth the price. The accommodations were incredible, and the staff were so friendly.

Subbu Nair

Had breakfast in this delightful quaint little spot. Wonderful smoothie and best breakfast I had in my few days in Quebec City. Wonderful hosts and excellent service. We were there as the doors opened in the morning so not sure what it’s like during peak hours but it was excellent while we were there. Would recommend to anyone. And I am sure that if there breakfast was that good any other meal would be just as good.

Rajiv Ramnath

Rude hostess, waiters and manager. We ended up walking out even before we were seated. Worst restaurant experience ever.

Luke Evans

Good food and very friendly staff.

Thomas Toussaint

REALLY REALLY slow. Food was ho hum and got cold fries. They did bring some hot fries, finally. Cute place, but other better places.

Aries 41

Pretty good food, pricey

Patricia Smith

We stopped in for a lunch of poutine and beers. The beer selection was not overly long, but they had a few local brews. We tried the classic poutine and pulled-pork poutine. The pulled-pork was a great addition.

Purvi Selvadia

Best food I had in entirety of Quebec city. Tried the fondue and baked vegetarian crepes and loved them both! Also, their hot chocolate is a must try!

Richard Dube

The place was excellent, the food was delicious, is kid friendly, and the service was amazing! Recommended!

Matt Schuler

Good food, nice ambience, good service. We ordered chicken breast with gravy and a crepe. Both came with fries and salad.

JK MTL

My spouse and I came here for brunch. Nice location, cozy restaurant. Short line, but the staff were nice and attentive. I ordered regular poutine; there was a good amount of cheese but the gravy was way too salty. Not worth the price.

Ray and Kelly Kalwa

Food was very good! Really enjoyed the restaurant atmosphere

Brianna McEwen-Jones

Very expensive for lunch 100$. The Ceasar salad was over dressed with the vinaigrette we ended up not eating it, coffee is 4.50$ for less then 250ml. Nothing special about this place. This restaurant is also Café Paris. Don't recommend it.

Ryan Mclaughlin

Not that recommended ( personal experience) Lowest service and looong time to have our orders ????

Daniella Guzzi

Had breakfast there this morning and it was such a good experience, we went back for dinner this evening. Marco was serving up good food and super-attentive service! The food was perfect at both meals and the prices were totally reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!

Emile T

Having driven here from Toronto, I have to say dinner was so disappointing. A party of six, we waited an hour for our food, and the food was so mediocre. Bread was stale and hard, poutine was cafeteria quality, pasta was bland, and everything else was a blur. Prices were high for the quality of food. For a Saturday dinner on a long weekend, it felt like they had 1-2 cooks in the kitchen!

Cris RochaR

Restaurant is located in great location, however the service and food is bit underwhelming. I ordered soup of the day which was served to us about 40 min after we sat at the table. It was good. However, for my course I was disappointed. I ordered from the chef's suggestion - chicken with gravy. Surprisingly the the dish arrived without a gravy after an hour of sitting at the table ????, had to wait another 15 min to ask for the gravy. The chicken was super dry and the gravy was not very impressive. Don't have any pictures unfortunately. But I would suggest just stick to general fries, coffee, drinks and breakfast options. Have to give it for the vibe. It is lovely.

F. Khan

Service was slow. Waited 45 min for pizza. Pizza was over cooked. Would not recommend this place. They forgot our drinks and did not provide us with basket of bread as they did other customers.

Duke Raoum

Cozy, casual place for breakfast. Food was good and prices were reasonable. Would visit again.

Raisaa Abdullah

Delicious cheese and mushroom omelette, my daughter and her friends took me here when I came to pick their bikes up. I wish I had photographed my plate, nicely presented, the waitress was very patient and accepting that I didn't speak French very well, and spoke to me in English (thank you!!). We will remember you when we visit Quebec City again!

Andre Alvarez

High Price for small portion. This is particularly true for the "chicken brochette" and the "traditional meal". In addition to pricy food the service isn't very good. I asked twice for salad dressing, never got it.

zahraa

Great little spot, food is good. The server was very very friendly! Really made the meal enjoyable for us :)

Curtis Eades

Would give it zero stars if I could. Went there with my family tonight for dinner, spent a total of 100$, food was stale, and tasted like a frozen dinner that wasn't warmed up properly. Service was just as bad as the food. Ps. Cafe de Paris (the restaurant next door) is the same owner, with the same crappy food, as was told by an employee there. Avoid at all costs- better quality food at McDonald's!

P M

Very good had the number 2 breakfast with Sunnyside up eggs. Well done food, filling, good portion size and nice service. Also not too expensive. Would go again.

Awesome, reasonably priced breakfasts and lunches, with a small selection of meals for dinner. One special - roast beef meal for two.

Humza Jafferji

Amazing meal. We had both a breakfast one day and a dinner on another. Staff is very friendly, fluent in English, and attentive.

Vasilis Tsiouplis

This place has an amazing vibe. Awesome staff and delicious food. Loved it

Grant Hambrick

Nice restaurant for breakfast, cozy and friendly. Food is good but, coffee was flowing, but we had to wait for our food a little too long. We were seated and placed our orders. The table next to us received their breakfast before us and they arrived after us. when we asked why it was taking so long for our breakfast, they stated that there is one cook for scrambled eggs and he was faster than the cook who fried eggs. We did return a second time and service was better.

Nancy Kennedy

Great place good food, combo lunch, sup, veal with vegetables coffee and cake $25 including tips. Beer is a little too pricey in my opinion otherwise, great

It’s been years since I have eaten here, and it’s as awesome as always. Don’t be fooled by the name, they make amazing meals for all times of day. You must eat here. Must!

Marisol Zavaleta

The food Is good, but it's expensive

Joan Brunger

Got the pizza, tasted really normal. Love the melted cheese but otherwise nothing special.

TheBlatt15

Good coffee and crepes were delish!

Uwaila Natama

We had breakfast here when we stayed at Jardin du Gouverneur.

Rowena Zylali

Food is great but it lacked in quantity.

Catherine Xu

I have one good thing and one bad thing to say. The food and service was atrocious, not only did I have to wait over an hour for escargot, but when I finally got it it was burnt to a crisp. On the other hand the staff working there was incredibly nice to us which kind of made up for the faults. I would give it a second chance because there is a possibility that my poor experience was merely a fluke.

Small wait but was worth it! Some of the best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had, delicious sausage, good coffee and good portions. Quick service, clean and friendly staff. Spaced out accordingly for Covid safety measures. 10/10 would go again!

usman mirza

Reasonable value breakfast spot slightly away from the main tourist trap.

Tarun Tandon

Not worth spending money there. The food took way tooooo long, 40 min, forgot to give us water and the food was awful! It was a disappointment for my family. It's as if the cook forgot how to cook!

Jocelyn Hoy

Visitor from Toronto just left the restaurant a long wait for 3 poutine to find out the gravy is from a can and the fries are cooked frozen..... Service was very slow and did not feel much welcome compared to those who spoke the language of French.... Would not recommend this spot to anyone who does not speak French ... Theyre not very friendly towards visitors to their city!!!

Good solid breakfast, quaint decor, fast service, on a beautiful main street. I would say however that I liked the breakfast (very similar menu) at L'improviste slightly better (liked their sausages better and their fried potatoes), and it's slightly cheaper (but not on a main street).

Justin Turcotte

Nice little restaurant. Simple good food. Decently priced. Friendly service.

Chris Campbell

Excellent place serving fresh food. Crepes were perfectly cooked with fresh fruits. Staff are very quick and attentive. I would go back without thinking twice. Only downside is they charge you for maple syrup.

Yuganthi Krishnamurthy

We waited 40 minutes and no one came to pick up our order and it wasn't even busy. We left, so the rating reflects only the service.

Ash B

Yummy traditional Canadian food.

Joanne Joanette

Great place for breakfast in the old city. Crepes were yummy. Always have breakfast here at least once when we visit Quebec.

Scott Robson

This was my 5th time having brunch here and had become a tradition to do so when we visit Quebec City. The food and staff are consistently great!

Tianxiang Yin

Really popular quaint spot with lots of omelette options but not many with meat except ham. Omelet was tasty but a bit greasy, toast was yummy but the hot tea was lukewarm. A bit of a wait on a Thursday morning. Waitress spoke English passable.

Jd Gill

Fine location, a nice building in old Quebec City, but not very excellent food. I waited many time for a normal omelette without special flavour, despite the name of the restaurant. I think that the target is tourist with not particular expectation.

Sammy Bertucci

We spent four nights at the Hotel Maison du Général which included breakfast vouchers for L'omelette. They had a different menu for the vouchers but it worked for me. We enjoyed the eggs, potatoes and toast with very good coffee. I had pancakes with real maple syrup the last day. What made the experience really enjoyable was the waitress - I never asked for her name - was so nice to us every day. We stopped in on the way back to our room at night for dessert one night and soup another. The owner was present both nights, but so was another equally friendly waitress both nights. I hope he realizes what wonderful staff he has!! Definitely our go to place for breakfast whenever we're in Old Quebec.

Utsaneeyaporn Chaiprasert

Cozy decor but terrible food. You have been warned.

Arik Brahmbhatt

Amazing Place to eat food. Specially, Breakfast. Staffs are very friendly.

Aleksandr Popov

Small place with a lovely décor. Has that intimate feel to it. A good place to stop by if you're in Vieux-Québec

Seb Lem

Exactly what you expect small diner breakfast spot in the middle of old Quebec, portions are a bit small for the price but nice place overall

Gursharn

Very good complete breakfast with mimosa Staff all friendly and atmosphere feels like little Paris Cafe Was able to walk-in but is quite popular so fills in quickly Would recommend for breakfast

Branden Diniz

Awesome place and vibe. The staff is cool. You can tell they enjoy what they're doing.

Shaun

I hardly ever review places but I felt compelled to write this one. The Croque Monsieur was an insult and I didn't feel like having anything else. The service was good and it's not their fault this place is a shameless tourist trap.

Greg Furholter

Love interior decoration of the restaurant, I really feel as if I were in an European restaurant.

Aravind G

Very bad experience at this hotel. Worst hospitality. Waited for server to take orders for more than 2 hours. The server demanded 15% tips as mandatory and passed bad comments on us for providing 10% tips.

Brian Rossmeisl

Located conveniently at the starting of the old town. We got seated quickly despite the rush and service was quick. We ordered a latte, quiche lorraine and the pizza. Food was tasty though I feel portion of the quiche was small for the price. But, then you also pay for the location as well. Overall a good place to come have a good meal

Larry Jewett

Good food...service could be a touch better..asked for more bread on the table multiple times only to be ignored each time

Roméo Devereaux

Not really happy with the customer service. We were demanded for tip. We were not attended for nearly 45 mins after we got our table. Very bad experience.

Jean-Charles Bélanger

Loved this little place! Great spot to try authentic cuisine. Atmosphere is so quaint.

Israel Galvez

Great experience at this restaurant! Such a lovely little spot, fast service, great food, and cute classic diner atmosphere.

danielle

The food is amazing! Cozy place. They treat you like family. Will definitely be back

Rejane Kheirallah

Our favourite night of the Quebec City trip! José and Marco are amazing people, they made the most memorable experience for us when we popped in for a late dinner. The food was delicious - be sure to ask for a Spanish coffee if you go! Thank you again, can’t wait to go back for a visit :)

Mumtaz A.

Great food and friendly staff.

Andrew Phillips

Excellent service. Very friendly staff. Good food

James Korponay (SlickWilly)

I had to pay for a breakfast which I did not order at all. They served us a more expensive dish and billed us for it. If you are there, please ask them twice what they are serving you. The food is nothing great and you have a lot of better options nearby.

Paul McDonald

Went twice for breakfast and both times excellent. Eggs Benedict was very good. Bilingual staff.

Alberto Jassir

Ron Beattie

Good spot to defrost with old fashioned decor and tasty coffee, craft beer and pastry. Very effusive host. May have been a bit much for some in our party.

Good food. Friendly staff. Decent prices. Good location. Good choice of items on the menu. We went for lunch and would go back again.

subbu nair

Great service great food had an amazing seat by the window.

Ellie Rose

Great experience! We went twice during our stay. They have unsweetened iced tea! That's rare here. The wait staff was always in good spirits and we enjoyed interacting with them. BIG menu with great food. Make this a brunch stop for sure!!!

Linda Dabydeen

EXCELLENT service! The two gentlemen we had worked with were kind and kept our party of ten laughing. Overall the decor of the restaurant seemed dated. Albeit the food was great. I had the Duck Confit Poutine. It was hands down the best poutine I had in my time in Quebec! Although I wish they had a larger beer selection, as it seemed limited and difficult to read. All in all, a great experience. We will be back!

Daniel de Sousa

The pasta with meat sauce was just ok, the baked crepes were delicious, I also had the Smoked salmon and it was on point, very tasty. The ambience is nice and the decor ..

hanane sfouli

Pizza was horrible, either was burned or uncooked. Avoid the place! My daughter got indigestion and I stomachache for me. The prices are ridiculous too.

Everything was super good. Well prepared and great service. Merci beaucoup.

Very busy and service was slow but nice food and friendly service. They gave our order to the wrong table so gave us a free desert.

Sudarshan Khound

The service was excellent! Spoke to us in English willingly..which is a little different from Montréal where I think they force everyone to speak French first . It is nice to feel welcomed. The food was real good too of course. 4.5 stars

Despite the nice ambience and polite waitresses, my time was not pleasant. It took a good hour for the food to arrive at my table and my drink was not refilled the whole time I was there. When the food finally did come, the hamburger we had ordered was inedible and my pizza wasn't great either. I'm sure it's a nice breakfast place considering the omelette and bacon sandwich other people at my table ordered were very good, but it is definitely not somewhere I would recommend to someone looking for dinner.

Danielle Smith

Perfect!!!???????????? Best Cappuccino and breakfast on the strip!!❤️❤️❤️

Charbel Tabbakh

Great little place for breakfast, would have given 5 stars but was very disappointed that the creton was not home made for old Quebec.

Great food great spot great price great people we loved it

Michel Pothier

Excellence!

Ian Bedwell

Service was ok.overpriced and food was not good. Onion soup was crazy expensive and tiny. A portion for a 2 year old

Marv Garellek

The omelette I had was delicious. All ingredients tasted very fresh. Very relaxed family place. The owner came over to talk with us and was funny and kind to us knowing we didn't speak any French. Staff can communicate in English for those who need to.

nasr issa

Baked crepes stated came with bechamel and server stated that it was unavailble. Crepes were rubbery. Needed a sauce to bring it together. Fix the menu or fix the dish... Or both.

Sabina Gaudet

Terrible service. It took them almost an hour to bring our breakfast and they messed our orders, and I was charged for the orders that they messed. I do not recommend this place.

Brian Cox

Awesome breakfast never had an omelette so fluffy

Oleg Kvasha

Best omelette I've ever had. Good prices. Nice waitresses
