TASTING ROOM OPEN DURING WINTER OFF-SEASON unlike most of the other businesses on the Ile. Delicious and very unique wine! Any of the black currant products are amazing. I have never tasted anything like black currant wine and I was not disappointed after tasting what they had to offer. The black currant onion confit is to die for. The property is comprised of an upper-story restaurant (NOT OPEN DURING WINTER) and a lower-story tasting room and shop (OPEN ALL YEAR). The property looks like a wonderful place to have a party or wedding in the warmer months of the year. The staff were very friendly and helpful with our tastings. I definitely recommend making a stop here while on the Ile.

Great staff. Beautiful location. Amazing products. Be sure to go downstairs to the Wine Cave and do the tastings. Then head out to the barn to see the production line and get some history of black currants and the liqueur made from them. Then go back upstairs to the terrasse and order their amazing sangria and the duck poutine. Enjoy it while over looking the bridge and the St Lawrence. Perfect way to enjoy part of an afternoon on the island.

La section boutique est bien conçue et permet de goûter les produits avant de es acheter. Déception au restaurant par contre. Même si la serveuse est plus que sympathique, le service est très lent et les repas ne sont pas servis rapidement (23 juin 2019). On nous a offert une petite crème glacée gratuite pour se faire pardonner- ce qui est bien - mais quand on a plus faim... le poulet pop corn est à découvrir en raison du miel au cassis. Déçu du grilled cheese sec qui manquait de fromage et d'oignons confits pour lequel je l'avais choisi.

We stopped here for lunch during our drive in Ile d'Orleans. This was a fantastic find. This is the storefront and restaurant of a blackcurrant farm. They have a restaurant, a take out shack, an ice cream parlor, a tasting section and a huge yard in the back. The food and ice cream revolves around blackcurrants which is an original concept. We had a salad (leafy greens with dried blackcurrants and a blackcurrant vinaigrette) and the chicken sandwhich (also with blackcurrant mayo). The restaurant does not take reservations so we put down our names but after a while we ordered take out. The restaurant called us after about 75 minutes at which point we were eating lunch in their yard. Take out took 30 mins to fulfill. The takeout menu only has 5 items but in my opinion these are the best items from their full menu. The yard had benches with umbrellas and overlooked the St Lawrence river and the bridge to the island. The softserve blackcurrant ice cream is worth a try but get the vanilla-blackcurrant mix as the blackcurrant on its own was slightly sour.

A delightful family run business for blackcurrant liqueur and wine. Absolutely amazing award winning Crème de Cassis – I wanted to import bottles home after tasting it. You can see the blackcurrant fields and there is a small café for food and sangria. Great place to stop by for lunch when you’re on the island. In the basement, they have the alcohols for purchase and sampling available too. I am also a fan of their jams as well but the Crème de Cassis is a must-try!

Our last visit was about 5 yrs ago, just before they remodeled the place, and, it now look awesome. We were there for lunch and it was a bit crowded during Canada Day so we had to wait a bit. That gave us the opportunity to buy some of the great products that they offer (love that mustard) . At the table, we had a pint of beer from the local brewerie that was very tasty and refreshing + a pint of Cider. Food wise it was ok'ish... Grilled cheese sandwich with salad and fries + an Euro sausage hot dog with fries and salad. $70. with taxes and tips.... That said, for our next visit, we will stick with the liquid part and enjoy the view. Food was too expensive for what we have. Even if it was a so called a "gourmet" hot dog (20$) and Grilled Cheese sandwich (18$), for that kind of money, I could refer you to some better choices... But again, for an aperitivo.. go for it and don't forget that Onion mustard....

My husband and I visited three vineyards/wineries on the island during our visit in August 2011. This vineyard had our favorite of all the wines and liquors we tried: a port made of black currants. At the tourist center on the island we were told we were only going to be able to bring four bottles of wine/liquor across the US border without trouble and of that allowance, we bought two bottles of Cassis Monna et Filles' port. The woman at the tasting was lovely, and the tasting room was small but charming. The only negative we can say were the other employees; people in Quebec and on the island are unfailingly friendly and polite---one cannot enter a room without being greeted with a cheerful "Bonjour"---but the other employees of this vineyard ignored all visitors as if we were not there, which was odd. We would still visit again, and I have a feeling we will be ordering online from the vineyard when our two bottles of port run out.

It was, for me, a most pleasant surprise. Too often I'm grumpy, irritated, and unenthusiastic about place my wife picks and wants to visit. Anything that smells of a tourist destination or winery serving tourists tends to be a turnoff. HOWEVER, I really enjoyed the visit and meal, especially as I'm a budding gardener and an amateur historian. Basically I had only the slightest understanding of what a black currant is, so I really enjoyed the education I received touring the grounds and going through the distillery/shop. The food was good and it was a lovely summer early afternoon, sunny and warm. Others have mentioned waits, errors or staff seeming unenthusiastic but we had none of that. A lovely visit. We brought home several bottles of black currant syrup, which I pretty much drank the entirety of; mixing it with sparkling water or seltzer (extremely refreshing, relatively light on sugar). We also brought home several bottles of creme de cassis both for our own consumption and as gifts, which our friends all said they enjoyed.

Nice place with a beautiful view. We had to wait 1h to get a table inside, there are not many tables on the terrace. For a faster service, you can order a takeout and eat at the outdoor tables, but not all dishes are available. Tasty but small main dish, you get full because of the fries. The side dishes as salad and fries, there's no other option. The ice cream is very creamy and the sour of the cassis goes well with the sweetness of the vanilla.

Dinner - get hear early or it gets full and you have to wait because the dine-in patio/deck is not that big. Food is ok, and decent for the price which is not too expensive like other wineries that try and charge a lot. Fries are nothing special, but OK. here's what the pull pork sandwich, pizza, and duct confit poutine (a bit salty) looks like. They speak english which is great, and the view and wine is what you're coming for. Lots of parking in back if front lot is full, but saw a low-profile Audi Coupe fear getting stuck and backed out from going deeper to park because it is typical gravel decline/incline as you can expect - any other everyday car easily makes it. Don't bring your Ferrari ;)

Tuesday 4th of September 2019 we planned our visit on the island so we could finish at Cassis. One of our favorite place. We checked their web page that indicated closes at 8pm. When we got there at 5h30 the staff informed us that the restaurant was closing at 6pm but the boutique at 8pm. Perfect, diner than shopping. Our meal was great even if when it came for dessert at 5h55 they had already closed and cleaned out the ice cream case. No gelato for us. Service was great even if they didn't know the operating hours of the boutique. We go downstairs and the young lady told us she just closed her cash and is about to close the boutique, we can look around but we can't buy. Had we known this we would of gone to Cassis earlier. Their Facebook page said 8pm, website 8pm even the sign on the building 8pm
