Partner and I visited here on July 1st and I must say it was wonderful. Simon guided us on a free tour and was very knowledgeable and friendly, after we tasted a few of their beers and spirits we were not made to feel pressure into buying anything which is great as well. Decided to purchase some of their handmade soap and spruce ale. A great experience all around. Would definitely recommend to others who travel here.

So much beers as there are liquors and spirits - very diversified stock. I visited there website and was delighted to found out they were open during off season. We arrived at their opening, they were easy to found with Google maps and GPS. We sample quite a few items and bought a few products. It's family-owned which makes it even more charming. We didn't have the opportunity to visit the distellery itself because they were getting a special delivery that morning which they apologize and we understood completely. This distillery was beyond amazing. we first got a tour and it was very informative and fun. they responded to all of our questions and I got to learn a lot about the history of this place. all of their drinks were amazing, and I got to sample most of them. I personally preferred the blueberry flavor, but I could go for any of them any night I would like to unwind. Service was in French and English. Merci!

Absolutely awesome experience. Sebastien and his wife gave us a tour, we talked about everyhting from their humble beginnings to their current projects and future plans. Sébastien's small brewing and distilling operation is first class. Hugely knowledgeable in all things brewing and distilling as well as fiercely patriotic of his people, the Acadians, a guided tour of the small facility is fun and ends with a fantastic tasting menu of their products. We left with 5 bottles, including their medal winning gin (the best we've ever tasted). An outstanding example of local roots and entrepreneurship.

(Translated) I went to New Brunswick in August and by consulting the Le Grand Caraquet tourist guide in summer, we were introduced to the Distillerie le fils du Roy. We were charmed by the description of the place. While making a walk of the neighboring municipalities, we decided to go and there our ordeal began. The GPS took us on dirt roads and no indication or poster allowed us to get there. We decided to go to Paquetville after going around in circles for 1 hour, a nice gentleman gave us the information to get there. We were finally able to set foot inside. Once returned, no hello. We wait (I would say a good 5 mtes) and look at the shelves before someone comes out of the tasting room (even though an employee was at the counter on entering) and invites us to take a tour. We bought a beer and gin duo which was very good but for the reception and the directions to get there, we will come back we were disappointed to the point of thinking and leaving after 3 or 4 mtes without anything going like this. if we didn't exist. (Original) Moi je suis allée au New-Brunswick en août et en consultant le carnet touristique Le Grand Caraquet en été, on nous présentait la Distillerie le fils du Roy. Nous avons été charmé par la description de l'endroit. En faisant une promenade des municipalités avoisinante, nous avons décidé de nous rendre et là notre calvaire a commencé. Le GPS nous amenait dans des routes de terre et aucune indication ou affiche ne nous permettait de s'y rendre. Nous avons décidé de nous rendre à Paquetville après avoir tourné en rond 1 heure de temps un gentil monsieur nous a donné l'information pour se rendre. Nous avons enfin pu mettre les pieds à l'intérieur. Un fois rendu, aucun bonjour. Nous attendons ( je dirais un bon 5 mtes) et regardons les tablettes avant que quelqu'un sorte de la salle de dégustation ( même si un employé était au comptoir en entrant ) et nous invite à faire une visite. Nous avons acheté un duo bière et gin qui était très bon mais pour l'accueil et les indications pour s'y rendre, on repassera nous avons été déçu au point de penser et repartir après 3 ou 4 mtes sans que rien de ne passe comme si nous n'existions pas.

I must say it was an incredible place. My wife and I enjoyed the tour and subsequent tastings I am very impressed and made a substantial purchase 2 days later I have water condensation in my Scotch bottles. Very unimpressed!!! Stay tuned to find out how they handle this issue.

Visited for the second time, in September, and could not get over how Distillerie Fils du Roy has expanded since our last visit in 2015. By sheer luck, we happened to arrive on a weekday morning before the daily rush began and were led on a fabulous tour of the facility by the knowledgeable staff, followed by a tasting of their beer and spirits. We were even greeted and had a chance to chat with owner Sébastien Roy, who invited us back next year so we can see the soon to open Malt room. If you haven't visited the spectacular Acadian Peninsula in Northern New Brunswick, you are missing out. The culture and pure beauty of this region is second to none. Add to that folks like Sébastien and the Acadian Peninsula's Tourism Development Director, Yannick Mainville, who also spent some time with us at the distillery, and it will be an experience you will not soon forget. Their welcoming nature will make you feel right at home!
