Having visited the winery many times and felt strongly, without question one of the best wines in the region, our viewpoint has changed. Last summer a 2017 purchased bottle of Frontenac had been opened and sour. Of course this happens, so on our next visit, Cape was generous enough to provide another bottle at no charge, advising they had issues with their corks. Yesterday, we opened again a bottle of Frontenac, this time the bottle only sat (properly) for 8 months from purchase. Tainted, sour, kicked. Now having known others who have experienced the same thing, we are not so sure we will return to purchase wine from Cape Winery. The location, the staff, the atmosphere is amazing! More importantly, their wine is extraordinary, however no sense making it if the means to reserve are lousy at best. I would absolutely recommend this winery to anyone visiting the area! Go, enjoy the countryside winery and all off the fantastic wines they have to offer, just think twice about buying any to take away.

The nicest down to earth owners served us our choice of their many wines. I tasted 6 of their wines and everyone was really good. Cute gifts are available.

We ordered a case of wine from the website and had it shipped to NC. The process was smooth and shipping details and alerts were easy to follow through UPS. The wine was shipped very carefully and arrived in perfect condition. I would definitely recommend!

Stopped in for a tasting and was pleasantly surprised. The owner was warm and friendly and the wines were really good. He made a rose' lemonade that was the perfect taste of summer. I highly recommend stopping in for a visit.

Haven’t visited yet but had their wines at a festival and was so impressed. I’m a dry fan and their marquette crose was unreal but I also enjoyed some of their semi-drys and even sweets (much to my surprise on the latter). Can’t wait to physically visit!

My husband Alexander and I had the pleasure of harvesting grapes with the winery friends and family. It was a great learning experience and fun even. We also did some wine tasting and had lunch together. We'll definitely be back out for a visit

The greatest stop on our wine tour for the day. We arrived ten minutes before closing and the host happily accommodated eight of us for tastings. She was extremely knowledgeable and you can tell that she and her husband put their heart and soul into this place. Absolutely loved it and will recommend to anyone visiting.

Do not waste your time or money here. This review is edited. Originally I gave them 4 stars but we just ended up dumping 3 of the bottles we bought. Three of them had poorly corked bottles and the wine was rancid, so we just got to spend at least $50 on drain cleaner. I'm hoping that the other bottles are alright but I don't have high hopes, what a joke. Learn how to properly bottle.
