You would think that with businesses trying to keep afloat that the staff would or could be a little more friendly,especially in a drive thru. The male taking the orders on the speaker was so uncaring about his job that it turned us off. Instead of placing our order for our family of 6 I ordered 1 salad that my kiddo really wanted to try. We ordered takeout to eat at home at the end of a long trip. There was just one person working the counter for takeout but he did a fantastic job as he was crazy busy. My wife had the original breast meal and I had the rib and chicken combo. The food was very good even after reheating in the oven. The coleslaw was good with my wife's creamy being a little better. The service was great and the to go packaging perfect. I can see why this place was so busy.

Service was great right from the start. The food was great. Being in Montreal I had to upgrade to a poutine. 1 thing that could probably be included is the salted butter. I used it on my bread but it was way too salty for my liking. The chicken was juicy and fell off the bone. On my list of places to eat whenever I visit!

I will make this short and sweet. Had an issue with 2 chicken dinners that were dry on labor day weekend. I live out of the province. I contacted the store on that weekend, and left a message with someone that worked there. Gave them my phone number and address. Been close to 3 weeks and never heard back. Called Thursday night, and Rob told me he would have the manager call me Friday. Deborah Cooper called me today, and I explained what happened. First thing she said was. Do I have a receipt, and I said do not keep receipts for food purchases. Then she asked who I talked to. I said I am sorry..but did not think to write it down. After all I was travelling. She was rude, and never did apologize but tried to put it back on me, as if I was the one that was wrong. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Food is always good. Waitresses it's the luck of the draw if it will be a good experience or not.. This time not so good. On a Sunday with a handful of customers, with that being said you shouldn't wait over a half hour just to be asked what you want to drink then wait another 20 minutes for the 3 out of 4 drinks to come because she forgot what drink wanted.. Then another half hour to come back and take our orders.. then get our food and she forgot our gravy.. Asked for it and waited while everyone else is almost done eating until my dad was finally annoyed and went up and got the gravy himself.. Over all a terrible experience.. Me and my family have been going there since I was a little kid .. A place worth trying that has amazing ???? service and food is hydes smokehouse in kemptville , it has been open 2 months... Chicken leg was dry and stale, not juicy at all (even the bones underneath were dry) veggies were limp and zero seasoning, barely tasted like the veggies they looked like. Indian piri sauce was just salty, barely any other taste could be identified. Tried using left over sauce to cook with at home, and got scared to death of how it made the entire house smell like acetone nail polish remover. This isn't real food, just plastic chemicals.

Saturday January 4, 2010: Had dinner with a large family group. We were 11. For the most part, the evening went well. Unfortunately, had two meal issues. Somehow they just could not get a "cooked" baked potato for my mother. The initial potato was under cooked. It was sent back twice to put back into the microwave and still came back under cooked. Finally, she opted for mash potatoes. Most of the 11 meals were served within a few minutes of each other except for my partner's. Her's, a quarter chicken with mash potatoes, took over 10 minutes to serve. These are the basic items served here. A plate of ribs with a fully loaded baked potato was served before a leg quarter chicken with mash potato. When I complained about both, the manager, Debbie Cooper, threw her staff under the bus and was not willing to comp the meals. I was not looking for a free meal but c'mon - when you screw up two meals, take ownership. Worst manager that I've ever dealt with in my life. I love the food here. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! I got the Poutine and was seriously floored by how delicious it was. It came with coleslaw that was the best I have had that wasn't made by MeeMaw. I started off with cheese sticks as my appetizer. I have never had cheese sticks that were as YUMMY as these. The marinara sauce was the best I have ever had. Seriously.. finishing off my meal with the REALLY INCREDIBLE poutine was the absolutely perfect way to wrap up my lunch. MMMMMMM!!!!! The entire restaurant had a great friendly feeling. It was very comfortable. The Hostess and lady that brought out my appetizer were both very nice and treated me like they were seeing an old friend. The Waitress was very nice and friendly. She was very attentive and made sure that we not only had everything that we needed and we're happy but also made sure to chat with me and make me feel at home. The prices are very reasonable.. when you first look over the menu. Food was okay. What I hated was how they had a sign refusing to take cash. That's terrible. First, it's been proven cash is cleaner than credit cards. Secondly, all businesses should have to accept the legal tender of the government they are registered to do business under. Thirdly, not everyone has credit/debit cards. My parents don't. Seniors don't care about that stuff and many don't even know how. In short they discriminate as a result against seniors and others who don't have these cards, and they are in a retirement town which is even worse. When I voiced a complaint they said it was legal and Quebec calls the shots and made that call, though we were in Ontario. I truly hope their business hurts as a result of such a terrible and poorly thought out policy. Disguising themselves behind "we are protecting ourselves and you" standard clauses is a lame excuse with no science behind it. Purely reactionary without merit.

We were told that for 2 people, we DID NOT NEED to reserve, since they can always fit in 2 people. After 10mins or so we were told that they were out of nachos so we substituted poutine instead. We’ve just spent the last 50+ minutes in the drive through because we were given someone else’s meal. I can only imagine how impressed the people behind us were when they also had to wait even longer for their actual order. The line was already long and we had already waited a significant amount of time before getting to the window the first time. When we went through the second time, the girls told us that they realized that they had made the mistake as we were driving away, however they made zero attempt to catch us and let us know. Furthermore, we opened the order to check that it was in fact wrong in the parking lot, and they asked for that food back. During COVID. I truly hope that this food was NOT served to someone else - it should never have be passed back into the restaurant after sitting on our laps for 30+ min. To add further insult to injury when we asked to speak to the manager after receiving very little apology for our wasted time and trouble, the girls working the window said yes while they were rolling their eyes dramatically at us. This was the poorest customer service that we have ever received at this location. The manager did finally come out to speak with us, and made some excuses for his employees behaviour, but didn’t offer to make it right in any way. This is such a disappointing experience and we will not be back.

We were having supper with an old friend who aperently had become very pretentious over the few years we haven't seen him. The waitress picked up on this, and knew how to handle it, and she impressed my girlfriend and I by serving all of us exceptionally. She let us taste the wine before buying it, walking by often, but not disturbing us in case we needed her, remained friendly even though our friend was abbrasive. We tipped her well

Not a fan of this St Hubert. I'm english and there was a huge language barrier when I tried to order. I tried my best to speak french. In case, I confirmed my order in english. I thought everything was clear. When I received my meal, it was not at all what I wanted. I'm allergic to bell-pepper so couldn't eat most of my meal. I tried to address that this wasn't what I thought I ordered and she replied with 'well it tastes really good' and walked away. I would have liked to have been addressed nicer and just have gotten the meal I ordered. She then presumed by giving me my bill. I wasted my money eating here as I am still starving. If you’re looking for BAD SERVICE, this is the place to go! I ordered a delivery a few weeks ago and a meal was missing. When I called to get a refund, I was offered a credit (not a refund just a credit even though it was their mistake) for the meal EXCLUDING taxes and tip. Which I paid for!!! I had to fight to get the taxes back, but obviously couldn’t anything for the tip. And they refused to give any kind of compensation for the mistake, even though I had to make extra food to replace the missing meal. They offered to deliver the missing meal, but we had already waited an hour for the order and the kids were hungry. I was told that the credit was applied to my account and that it would be applied automatically on my next order. So yesterday I decided to order from there again so that I could use my credit. Guess what? The credit wasn’t applied and the delivery guy couldn’t do anything about it. When I called customer care, they couldn’t care less and said they couldn’t do anything. WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Nobody seems to care about you. Never ordering from this store or St-Hubert again.

I went to the one in Quebec, the waitress was so rude as we did not speak French. She came gave us menus asked for our drink order and left we waited more than 30 mins for her to return. I finally flagged another waitress over and for help she got our waitress. The waitress took our order and again was gone forever. At least 45 minutes. I got up and asked for the manager. They said he doesn't speak English. The meal finally came and we ate. No one came to refill drinks see if the food was ok. Nothing just the bill. It was the worst experience I ever had

We had a coupon on our smartphone that we found on the website of this Saint-Hubert location. As soon as i mentioned it to the cashier, she tells us that the coupon is only for takeouts. I tell her that i got it from there website and that it is for a dine-in. So i show it to her on my phone, from there website. One of her colleagues come and tell us that the coupon has to be printed. I say that it is not mentioned on there website, and so why is it available online? Plus, not everyone owns a printer, and with the mindset of saving trees, most of things are now done electronically. She tells me that they tried to scan it from a phone yesterday and it did not work. So i insist very much that she tries to scan it from my phone. After insisting, they finally do and the coupon does work. She then proceeds to leave and call for another colleague that will come and tell us as well that there superior requires that the coupon be printed out. This was all totally ridiculous. Will not be coming back.

I order and it said ready in 15 minutes, I arrived 7 minutes after the time it was assumed the order would be ready, plus another 12 minutes it took for me to get an answer at the counter to know it wasn't ready yet. There was only one car for the car ordering when I arrived and one person ordering at the counter. In the time I spent waiting at the counter at least 7 more cars had their orders served and I was still waiting. An order that was supposed to take 15 minutes to be ready took 47 minutes of wasted time. It's a shame as some restaurants have closed their doors in the area and those that remain, some of them the service is starting to deteriorate. Hopefully the administration will take note and try to resolve the lack of coordination with online orders. (Original) Un peu déçu pour mon expérience. This gets five stars instead of four because it exceeded my expectations. I've been travelling form northern NY to Montreal every Saturday for recreation and I often see a lot of St-Hubert's logos - I assumed it was just a regular KFC-like fast food chain. Well my fiance and I were returning from Quebec on Canadian thanksgiving day and everything was closed except this restaurant so we decided to go in (because we were pretty hungry). Needless to say I was shocked, the place felt way more upscale than I thought it would have been, the bathrooms were sparkling clean and the waitresses were friendly and accommodating. The food itself did not take that long and was very delicious especially the chicken and ribs combo. Of course, this may be biased to the fact that we were starving that evening but I will definitely be visiting again.
