Everything is spot on at this place!! The service, the food and the ambiance. Don't hesitate. And the gift shop prices are also pretty reasonable.
Terrible service!!! Terrible food overrated dont come hete never!!
Cozy warm place, really friendly owner. Gift shop has a great variaty. Delicious maple candy
People eat EVERYTHING with maple syrup at this restaurant, such as pancakes, ham, eggs, and meat tarts. Another interesting way to enjoy maple syrup is to eat it on a stick like a lollipop as maple syrup would freeze after sitting on ice for about 30 seconds!
This place serves maple brunch. There is options for vegetarians too. Great place, love the food. Maple Taffy was a treat. ????
Lovely people, food and ambiance.
Simple basic food..delicious. with a bit on how maple syrup is made
Atmosphere great food fantastic, staff obliging.
Nice place to go for dishes with French influences, featuring maple syrup as a special ingredient. It is in a country setup with a live Accordion music. The staff are well mannered, but still need to learn how to serve both sides of a long table to distribute the food. It has a store with maple syrup and other items to remember your visit.
As a tourist I am not sure, if this autenthic canadian style, but I am sure, it is a lot of fun with the checkered red and white decorated tables, the rustic menu there, the music und the short presentation on how the maple syrup is made.
Was a great culinary experience, the on site ambiance and staff, the outdoor fire pit and maple taffy on snow. A must try.. ( was there last year ???? ) Fluffy/crispy pancakes with maple syrup for dessert, delish!
Loved the maple syrup candies, atmosphere inside resturant is very lively and staff are too polite, friendly. Playing live music inside to keep you entertained. Must visit if you are passing through here.
This was the perfect stop on our drive heading north from Montreal. I'm generally not a fan of touristy places that serve tour buses, but Chez Dany was incredibly accommodating (especially as we arrived after lunch was over and he arranged for us to still get served), the food was extremely tasty and the sugar sticks out back lived up to the name. Well worth a stop.
Delicious and amazing service
The enviroment of the place is awesome!... delicious traditional canadian dishes!
Love it here it's really homey and welcoming our in the country side and free taffy on a stick for anybody that wants one! Really nice entertainment as well... Definitely worth taking a visit
Great little place. Historical, with live music, great food, very beautiful. For everyone who can visit it, it's definitely worth it.
Warm, friendly, good service. Pancake with serup a little weird tast.
Authentic near-endless French Canadian food served family style. Maple syrup on every table! Demos & store, too.
Nice restaurant and friendly staff
Food and service is very good. A fun place to take the family!
Normal, standard fare. I would next time prefer to go for a nicer brunch. Less is more.
A full-course meal of traditional Québécois food served around the first thaw of Spring, but served year-round!! Complete with freshly-cooked 'Oreille de Christ' (Bacon rinds) and split-pea soup to start. The second round being 'Tourtière' (seasoned ground meat pie), egg and bacon souffle, maple-syrup boiled cocktail wieners with slices of ham, fried potato slices and white-beans and lard in a maple sauce, followed by fried 'Gaufre' (deep fried fritter batter like a crispy pancake), all drowned in fresh house-made maple syrup! Complimentary coffee, pickled beets, and buns then for dessert some fresh "tire" (maple taffy drizzled over snow). I always leave incredibly satisfied, with a stomach full of tasty food!
awesome ambiance, country music, french food and drinks
Wow so very happy we stopped by! What was initially only meant to be a quick stop after a long road trip, turned into a lovely family lunch with my husband and one year old. We were kindly greeted by staff and were offered a great little tour by the owners daughter. She was so so very friendly and patient with our toddler as she explained the production process. We decided to stay for lunch. The staff and our server were phenomenal and were very accommodating. The food and atmosphere was was great - the music and food are all reminiscent of a classic cabanne a sucre. A great experience not to be missed - Merci!
There's been 22 years since I started bringing Brazilian groups to Chez Dany. It's the best atraction in the Montréal area. Fun, Québec culture and the best of it's cuisine in magnificent surrounds.
2nd time here this time was as fantastic as the first , so great price, great food, great environment, great staff, and great music we had a blast realy enjoyed the syrup in the snow everything was top notch . Thanks Chez Danny's for annother ammazzing day
Food is good I really enjoyed it .. what I like the most was "Caribou " a local drink
It's the only choice when you are on tour and dont Want to freeze on the road. Greeted by a franchophone racist old lady, you will eat the same daily menu and watch how they indiscriminatedly throw out leftovers directly in the trash in front of your face...
I'm certain this is a wonderful place, and I have rated it accordingly, but from 15 October into February each year, it is open only for travel groups - not individual visitors/families.
Good food and great service they are super friendly and the maple ???? syrup was unreal ????. If you stop in Quebec City or Montreal I would highly recommend visiting Cabane a Sucre Chez Dany.
Went there for lunch and the food was very filling and delicious. Cost was $22 per person, also even though they open at 11am the food isn't served until 12 but the staff were very friendly about making sure we were occupied with the gift shop and their history section while we waited
One of the best places you can enjoy in Trois Rivieres, QC! Julian, Ariane, Xabier, get ready….!
Nice place. You can enjoy maple syrup products and learn the knowledge how the maple syrup is made.
Very nice. Even though we were in large group and the place was packed, the waitresses came periodically every 10 to 15 minutes to check on us and bring us extra food. The real maple honey was exquisite. A good experience all in all.
Very fun, delicious food! We had the all you can eat traditional lunch while the violinist played Quebec folk music. We asked for a tour/explanation of the syrup making process, and they answered all our questions.
Wonderful experience!
Very fun sugar Shack. Traditional live music. All you can eat. You will not go away hungry! You should really skip a meal or two before eating here. We had the breakfast. 3 courses. We started with whiskey and maple syrup then pea soup and salt pork then baked omelet, meat pie, ham, and beans, and finally coffee and pancakes. Loads of maple syrup. Great store! Lots of tour busses. Reservations are a must! Highly recommended!
a hidden gem. Well worth a visit, we stopped for breakfast on our way to Quebec City.
I honestly believed that there would be a whole experience in making the Maple syrup. The place is a store.
Great experience, the process of the maple syrup was awesome
Great and funny restaurant. You cant leave Trois-Rivières without going there.
Crowded during lunch time. Not a very special place. Yet good for family to have a lunch break and have some maple syrup.
Great place to bring visiting friends and family in the summer wanting to experience an authentic Quebecois caban a sucre out of season. For me personally the food left much to be desired even for a sugar shack. Aunt Jemima style pancakes, eggs that tasted like they were mixed with some sort of gelatin, no cretons...That said, it was overall a positive experience. My visiting in-laws really enjoyed themselves. I can recommend Chez Dany for the experience not the food.
Fun dinning experience with live music and even an invitation to join in with dance and playing the instruments too! Filling Canadian meals and the famous Quebec maple syrup served in surplus at every meal. There's a souvenir shop in there too for those who wish to leave with memories of this awesome experience! Oh wait...I also got to try maple syrup lollipop too! Bravo!!!
It was a great experience. The food was delicious. Especially the ham and the maple syrup candy was perfect. :) kudos to the staff who found my aunt's phone :)
Terrible service!!! Terrible food!!!you have no choice but stay here to kill the time because this stop was arranged by travel agent
Very disappointing. After all the hype we were expecting something great but it was not to be. Seemed more focused on getting your money.
Good food, fantastic maple syrup and very hospital staff. The place is gorgeous too!
i have been this place two time, really like it, my family like it too, if have chance, i want come again.
Had the maple taffy here Weather wasn't that cold so it melted pretty quickly but was still delicious
Live music during the day. Very tasty food. All you can eat style. Really recommended.
nice food and nice place but watch your step to walk because a lot ice on the route
Everything was delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful. Maple heaven!
I visited this restaurant as an inspiration from the show Worth It and I have to say it was worth it. Their fries were so light and different from traditional fries I've eaten, which mixed in very well with the sesame sauce and kimchi. I can see why this restaurant was a Worth It winner and I would recommend this place to anyone for vegan food.
Amazing maple syrup, and all staff except one man (I believe is the owner) who was very rude and racist…
I absolutely LOVE ham so, I was disappointed that I only got one slice. But other than that, the food is AMAZING, the service is excellent and professional. Everything is packaged seperately and portions are big. It took me two days to eat everything and I only ordered for one person. Definitely one of the best sugar shacks I went to. A most try if you are in the Mauricie region!!!
I was on a tour with near 40 others. Had a good time for all. A decent lunch, some spoon playing and minor shopping..I think the fun comes from visiting with a group..
Excellent food, friendly staff. Absolutely worth a visit.
Like their lunch set with peas soup, ham, omelette and meat muffin. Their pancake is so soft
