Wine tasting was amazing and very helpful to know which to buy. We came in middle of winter ???? freezing temps. Bought wines back to cabin. Some froze but defrosted fine. Just placed another order online. My only regret that I didn’t have cash to tip the helpful service. We will be back. Ghost town in winter made easy to find parking ????.

This past Wednesday evening, me and my husband visited the Adirondack Winery tasting room in the Lake George Village. This year Mallory and Won-Suh helped us. It was about 30 minutes to closing but they were still energetic and inviting. They were very knowledgeable about the wines and made our experience enjoyable. We look forward to our next visit.

Chloe is literally AMAZING. She was so sweet. She laughed with us and was very knowledgable and enthusiastic. We did the ‘Upgraded Wine Tasting for Two’ and will definitely do it again. Even the wines I didn’t like were good, the ones I liked were amazing, and the customer service and experience as a whole were as good as I’ve ever seen anywhere. 12/10.

Call ahead reservations are best but they were able to accommodate us as walk ins (2 people). We worked with Mary Ann during our tasting and she was lovely! Very personable and easy to speak with. Gave great recommendations. We had a small hiccup after we left (charged for a bottle I didn’t buy) but we got it resolved within the same hour. Highly recommend!

I finally got to visit Adirondack Winery and it was lovely! Sarah was so helpful! We had a great conversation about all of the tasting notes for each wine, where the grapes are sourced from, and more info about the brewery. I came on my own, so it was nice to have a friendly guide for this wine tasting :) I highly recommend Adk Winery, they have so many options and their wines were wonderful!

We had an absolutely lovely young gentleman serve us our wine during our visit. He was so knowledgeable, kind and made the whole experience so much fun. I would 100% come again, just to spend time with him. BUT... the wine is amazing. I'm not a big fan of wine but I enjoyed 7/8 of my pours, even the sweet ones and I HATE sweet wines. We got a snack board as well, which had a delightful selection of crackers and cheese, as well as wine infused jelly and infused truffles. I would recommend to anyone who comes here: UPGRADE TO THE PREMIUM PACKAGE. It seems expensive, I rolled my eyes when my girlfriend asked for it, but it was completely worth it. You get really nice wine glasses, the snack plate (picture included), a wine slushies or cider depending on the season (we got a blueberry mulled cider which was like sipping on heaven), and a premium wine pour. Genuinely, I enjoyed my experience here so much I came back with cash just to tip the fellow (I had left it in my hotel room like a fool). My only qualm was that I had paid for two extra premium pours and didn't get them, however the experience was so great I truly could not care less and it was only a loss of $2 I believe. I plan on ordering many wines from them throughout the year, and hopefully coming by again next year. I sincerely recommend this place to everyone, and commend the owners and staff for the incredible wine and service. 10/10 in every way possible. And to anyone visiting in the fall... Try the apple pie wine. You won't regret it. Thank you again to our server. I wish so badly I had gotten your name because you were truly a gem, and your customer skills are wonderful.

We went on a busy Saturday and were able to be seated for a party of two for a tasting pretty quickly. But you can do reservations ahead. The wine tasting is very inexpensive for 7 pours and the glass. The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming. Highly recommend Alison, she knew her wines and was able to help us choose ones that fit what we wanted.

My fiancé and I had a fabulous time yesterday! The wine tasting was so much fun; I wanted to buy a bottle of each wine they had in the store - that’s how delicious their wines are. Thankfully nobody else was in the store so my fiancé and I had the place to ourselves for a private wine tasting. I kid you not, there was not a wine we tasted that we didn’t like. We selected the ultimate package so we were able to eat some treats and drink during our tasting. The package came with souvenir glasses, Gouda cheese, wine infused jelly, truffles, key limes cookies, honey lavender cheese and bread. We were given 7 wines of our choosing to taste & 1 premium wine - so 8 in total. In the summertime they have wine slushees which I can’t wait to come back and try! Kelly and Kiera took care of us with Kiera being our main host. The ladies were lots of fun, very informative and enthusiastic. My fiancé and I have been to several wine tastings in our lives and this wine tasting was definitely top ten. We appreciate the fact that they ship wines so we can purchase more when our wine bar has a little more space. The store also has a great rewards club and cute accessories for purchase. We will be back!

New, first experience wine-tasting! My wife & I choose to do the standard tasting which included 7 wine choices, souvenir wine glasses & guide to tasting. While our initial server was withdrawn, Mitch took over and was not only attentive; yet also very knowledgeable about each wine's variation & aged details regarding flavor. Some wines were delicious; while others were dry and flat. My favorites were Meritage & Sunny Days. A pleasant experience in the village with a cool ambiance.

My boyfriend and I (both of us never drink) decided to try a wine tasting just for something to do. Cheyenne was amazing. Hands down was the best and patient with us; she rinsed out our glasses after each wine so we were getting the full flavor or the current wine! Cheyenne was really funny and kind. I go to Lake George a few times a year and always stop by for a tasting and to pick up wine. It’s always a fun time! I love all their sweet wines (sunny day and ruby red are my favorites). Staff is very friendly and they have a good selection of wine related products and cheeses. One of my favorite stops at lake George! Stop by, you won’t be disappointed!!! Update 6/22/21 Very good experience today with the staff member Eldon. Extremely personable and knowledgeable about the products. We had (yet again) a great time and enjoyed all the wine! The tasting I had today with Miss Sarah at Adirondack Winery in Lake George from Brooklyn, was just on par with any fine wine tasting experience I've ever had. I absolutely love this place!! My wife and I went for a tasting for our 2 year wedding anniversary, and upgraded to add a foodie plate (THE TRUFFLES ARE TO DIE FOR!!). Not only was everything delish, Dani made it all a lot of fun! She explained each wine perfectly and every item on our foodie plate, but also just had normal conversation with us! I don't give 1 star reviews lightly. My girlfriend and I came in, something she was excited for for her birthday. We waited by the door for 5 minutes with no acknowledgement of our presence. Granted, it seemed to be busy with what seemed like a bus tour of elderly individuals with plenty of money to throw around. However, with no instructions, signs or directions a quick hello would have been nice. Instead about 5 minutes we went to the counter after a space freed up, literally a foot from a server, and again, no acknowledgement of our existence for another 5 minutes. After making eye contact with someone and still not getting a simple hello, we called it quits. We were one of three couples who left. Sad to say we couldn't try the wine, looked like it may have been good.

The staff were quite nice but the wine was really sweet and kind of had a sour taste? If you're a real wine drinker(been to wineries in California or Oregon and enjoyed them) you will not like this wine....if you like juice with alcohol in it, you will quite enjoy it. The tasting bottles all had pour spouts that looked they hadn't been cleaned...maybe ever. Just really not good wine. But the staff were very nice and tried very hard to find a wine we liked but unfortunately they all tasted...sweet and had a sour flavor to them.

If you're in the area, this is an excellent place to spend an hour tasting some great wines.. Reservations are recommended.. Kids played in the arcade few doors down while parents had a good time enjoying wine/crackers etc.. Kyle and Emily were fantastic with recommendations and explaining the different wines.. Came for my annual tasting a few days ago with my mother. Wanted to especially thank Cheyenne for making my mother's day and accommodating her wheelchair at the LG tasting room. While my wife and I are annual case club members and know most of the wine by heart, my mother suffers from memory and hearing loss and can often become distracted or disinterested. Cheyenne calmly introduced each wine, even if they were being repeated, and went over the tasting notes so my mother could hear. Mom enjoyed and talked about the wines the rest of the day. It was great having her old self shine through for a few hours and even better getting her out and about.

My girlfriends and I take a vacation every year together. We picked Lake George this year. This was the only downside to our trip ..this place alone. A well planned schedule for the girls working there would benefit everyone. It took ten minutes before we got greeted and our wine tasting took forever because our server was too hyper and unable to multitask. She kept commenting on her inability to be calm and stay focus which is cool if you're working with kids , but not there. I live near the Finger Lakes Region and I have been to many wine tastings. This is the worst.

Had a wonderful time doing a wine tasting ($7) here as part of a girls’ getaway weekend. The lady working was very friendly and made us feel super welcome. I tasted most of the fruit-infused wines, which were tasty and sweet. Would definitely come back to try some of the more “adult”-flavored choices (aka not sweet).

As an avid wine taster on the North Fork of Long Island, this place is right up there!! Tara, Kelly, and Randy made me feel right at home. This is a MUST if you are visiting the Lake George area. The equivalent of a mall wine tasting. Rushed and mediocre. Second star added because the poor experience started with too many people, horrific parking, and way too many people - this being mid-covid, a mishmash of masks and no masks everywhere has nothing to do with the wine tasting. Please note there are no public restrooms in the wine store (i was directed to use the public beach restroom in the park across the street). I told my husband who was parking to use the bathroom before he came in. The Store Manager then came over to say "i know your other person isnt here yet but you WILL have to be out of here by 1:40" - only a 40 or 45 minute reservation to pick wines, relax and enjoy seven wines when the bartenders have other parties and saanitation measures is honestly the biggest issue i have. The wines themselves were what youd expect from a commercial boardwalk in a tourist town. When my husband did arrive we were told AGAIN about our time limit. I had to tell the bartender to pour faster because we were approaching our 10 minute warning and hadnt had half the wines. The Manager then stared at us from the other side of the bar to make sure we were hurrying up. There were no people waiting, no lines and several stools open even with maintained social distancing. I get turn over, I get seatings but i have never been made to feel more like an annoyance by a bar owner or winery and will never be back to this winery or Lake George. What a hell hole. Stars are only for the quality of snacks served and bartensers.

Great wine, certainly unorthodox as far as their fruit flavoring goes but that is not a bad thing, in fact its rather unique and something new to try. The women running the place, Allie, Mckenzie, and Molly were all super accommodating and incredibly knowledgeable on the wines- and their SLUSHIES WERE BANGER! Definitely recommend for any wine lover going on a trip to the adirondacks, I took home the gewarztraminer and dry Riesling and they did not disappoint.

What an perfect way to end a weekend getaway! Our group of five did some wonderful wine tasting with Jane, a very amiable and humorous woman, who made the experience that much more enjoyable. I left that store with a "savory" chardonnay and a comfortable buzz (I'm a bit of a lightweight). Everything was comfortably priced and a warn atmosphere to welcome you into there store. I will be stopping here again when I return to Lake George and even recommended it highly to my family members.

Great winery. If you enjoy fruity sweet wines this is a terrific place to visit while at Lake George. Their peach infused prospect Mt white, mixed berry, black cherry, sangria blend, and soaring strawberry is delicious! Staff Jon B was great and knowledgeable. My boyfriend and I had a great time trying all of the wine. The ladies were all very nice. My only issue is was after spending a lot of money at the winery we drove home and opened up the jerky that we bought there to learn that there's mold growing in the package. We didn't notice it until we ate a few pieces. This is quite upsetting since it was completely nasty and spending hard worked money on something that is completely inedible. I am not sure how product isn't being checked since this could of easily been avoided.

Went during off season, so got some personal attention. Loved the semi-dry Reisling and oaked Chardonnay. Fruit wines are essentially fruit juice with some wine. Tasting quantities are ridiculously small. I've had twice as much in every other winery I've ever been. Staff is super friendly and they have a small place for kids to hang out. It's worth spending time if there's nothing better to do.

This is the Adirondack Winery's Tasting Room and retail store. They offer several tasting menu options, which include some paired with cheeses or wines. There aren't any tables or seating areas, but there is a large two sided standing bar in the middle of the store, which can allows for many people to be served at once. No reservation is required for a tasting, but they offer party packages which should be scheduled prior to your visit. The wines are delicious and the staff are friendly and fun. All of the wine is made locally in Queenabury, NY. They host events many times a year for club members and the general public. They have a few different clu membership options which come with many perks and discounts. This is a fun place to visit and they are open year round. I would highly suggest stopping in if you are spending the day in Lake George.

He gave very detailed and accurate descriptions of all the wines we tasted. I highly recommend Serenity- a lavender infused Rosé and the Stargazer if you like a well flavored red. They also have a wonderful selection of Semi-Sweet and fruit infused wine which were all delightful! It was genuinely hard to choose which to take home! The cheese board we were given was a delicious plate with lots of locally made products which is always great to see. Overall, the wonderful staff at Adirondack Winery and the experience was amazing. I look forward to returning in a few weeks with new people to share this awesome spot with!

The wine tasting was so good. It’s small amounts but you get what you pay for. It’s only $10 and I paid $1 for the premium and $5 extra for the wine slushee. I wanted another wine slushee but their permit is strict they told me so they can only sell a certain amount per person. So don’t expect to come here and keep ordering as much as you want. That’s the only downfall but it’s really not the businesses fault it’s the rules they have to follow. The wines were soooooo good. It was a fun experience and our server Eldon was really nice. He shared a lot with us and didn’t push anything on us. 10/10 Recommend

What an perfect way to end a weekend getaway! Our group of five did some wonderful wine tasting with Jane, a very amiable and humorous woman, who made the experience that much more enjoyable. I left that store with a "savory" chardonnay and a comfortable buzz (I'm a bit of a lightweight). Everything was comfortably priced and a warn atmosphere to welcome you into there store. We stumbled upon this place while walking on Canada St. We enquired about wine tasting and the staff asked us to make a reservation online. We returned the next day. They checked us in and got us seated (socially distant from the next party). While the dry/semi-dry wines were nothing to write about - their fruit infused/semi-sweet and sweet wines were a whole other league. Rarely have I ever come across so much variety in that category. They had an amazing selection of wines even in the “original” tasting experience. For $10, it was a good value. Sarah was very knowledgeable about the wines and her recommendations were good. She was also able to get us somebody to answer our questions about the storage and shelf life of their wines. We also bought some wines from them. I agree with the other reviewers that said the place looks small but they have a lot to offer. Would definitely recommend this place.

Good wine only go there if you have an hour to kill. Went for tasting, they do 7 tastings it took 45 min for them to pour them that's from when we filled out the wine list. After the 45 min it took another 20 to pay for it and leave. ( they kept stopping to make other people cheese platters ) Because of that I did not buy any wine figure it would be another 30 min if I wanted that. The lady that started our tasting left halfway thru when he replacement arrived. It's faster to drive to another winery and find parking again in lake George.

Stopped in yesterday while walking the main strip of Lake George. What drew us in was the sandwich board advertising wine slushies. It was a great decision. 3 of us did a tasting of seven wines, there were about 25 -30 to choose from, a very good variety. The price was reasonable and included a glass. I prefer fruitier flavors but was able to try a couple outside of my normal range Our sommeliers were Abby and Chloe. Abby was knowledgeable regarding the wines/flavors and Chloe, with it being her second day, was picking up the information and both were friendly. We did finish with a sangria slushiie. Sweet but refreshing! All told, about $65 for the 3 tastings, 3 slushies and 2 bottles of wine.

Been coming here for years. But this time did not like the customer service. We came in to do a tasting, was told we had to have a reservation. Nothing was posted at the door or website. Right of tasting room had people couple of seats were open. They said they were taken. We were ok then . Left side of the tasting room said they are for incase we have a large party that comes in and again we go OK then. We got our three bottles and slushie. After all that trouble about everything we could of done a tasting. Again customer service was bad. Been coming here for the last 5 years. Don't think we will be coming again.

We had an absolutely lovely young gentleman serve us our wine during our visit. He was so knowledgeable, kind and made the whole experience so much fun. I would 100% come again, just to spend time with him. BUT... the wine is amazing. I'm not a big fan of wine but I enjoyed 7/8 of my pours, even the sweet ones and I HATE sweet wines. We got a snack board as well, which had a delightful selection of crackers and cheese, as well as wine infused jelly and infused truffles. I would recommend to anyone who comes here: UPGRADE TO THE PREMIUM PACKAGE. It seems expensive, I rolled my eyes when my girlfriend asked for it, but it was completely worth it. You get really nice wine glasses, the snack plate (picture included), a wine slushies or cider depending on the season (we got a blueberry mulled cider which was like sipping on heaven), and a premium wine pour. Genuinely, I enjoyed my experience here so much I came back with cash just to tip the fellow (I had left it in my hotel room like a fool). My only qualm was that I had paid for two extra premium pours and didn't get them, however the experience was so great I truly could not care less and it was only a loss of $2 I believe. I plan on ordering many wines from them throughout the year, and hopefully coming by again next year. I sincerely recommend this place to everyone, and commend the owners and staff for the incredible wine and service. 10/10 in every way possible. And to anyone visiting in the fall... Try the apple pie wine. You won't regret it. Thank you again to our server. I wish so badly I had gotten your name because you were truly a gem, and your customer skills are wonderful.

Had a great time with Eldon as our host! I did the ultimate tasting and was able to try 8 wines. The reds are light and easy, definitely great for those new to the world of red wine, or insist they don’t like red wine. They do a lot of infused wine that runs a bit sweet for my taste but was worth the try! At the end of the day we walked away with a few souvenirs and 2 bottles of the Cab Franc Rose - my favorite off the list: crisp and light, perfect for any season.

I came here last minute with no reservation to get a break from my kids and husband :). They had openings so they fit me in and I had a great tasting. My server was knowledgeable and friendly and i came away with 4 bottles I purchased. They have a little section for kids to entertain them while you are tasting also. Great stop when walking downtown lake George. Wide variety of wines, from cab and merlin to sangria and other fruit infused choices. All were good, we made a return trip to grab some gifts to take back home. Tasting is a good value, and you can add cheese and snack plate if you choose. Make sure you make a reservation, they were required. But we were able to make one as we walked in. Great place to visit.

The experience was okay. The wine was good but the staff was not pleasant. The woman who served us was not nice, upon walking in she completely ignored us. Three sets of individuals walked in behind us and was immediately attended too. After says excuse me, one girl walks over and says so are you ready?. We tried to break the ice by speaking and making jokes and she was very straight faced but was talking and laughing with the individuals she was serving next to us. That’s not how you behave, and she made us feel very out of place, and I felt because we were people of color that’s why we were treated in that manner.

We are from the Finger Lakes region and decided to head out without the kids. We visit the wineries at least twice a year for the last 18 years. So, I would like to think I have some idea what I am talking about. Nevertheless, The server was extremely rude. She spoke quickly and acted like we were bothering her. All we did was ask “ Can we do a tasting?” We visit Lake George annually but will be bringing our own bottles from now on, I guess! I would like to point out I am a nurse so I understand being overwhelmed and rushed however I have never treated a person as rudely as she did. Unfortunately I did not get her name but she was brown haired and 24-30 working 9/1/19 at 6pm.

Wine and pricing were equal to other wineries/wine tastings I have been to in the area. I liked the small gift type items, nice to browse. I liked the wine slushies (Red Ruby was good). I did not like that there were no bathrooms for a shop where you are there to drink (I would understand if it were the busy tourist season but we are locals and it was off season-the public bathrooms in the area were closed, they referred me to the Marriot? I held it) Bar stools/seating would also be nice instead of standing at a bar. I was alright with receiving only 1 glass at a time (I prefer all 7 glasses set up) but it does not let you taste at your own pace as you are waiting for the host to pour other people, get them their platters, return to you each time.

Great staff and great wine. I thank ADK for not finishing all their wines with Concord, as so many NY wineries do. They are right on with their categorizing of their wines - dry, semi dry to sweet - at least to my taste. Eric or Evan - I know it started with an E and had 4 letters - is super fun to talk to about wine. His love of wine comes through and he doesn't push his, or ADK's,, idea of what the wine should offer. He runs thru what they say, but if you don't agree, he doesn't argue with you. I could have stayed longer just to talk wine, if I hadn't had to get back on the road. Also love the Keepsake Glass. They were also very accommodating for a road traveler who had no clue when they would get to the area, having never been there before.

This was our first visit to Lake George and we were looking for a fun activity in town after lunch. Miles was welcoming and answered all our questions. We were served by Sarah who was very knowledgeable about the wines and was pleasant and cheery. Both of them made the tasting a great experience! There were a few decent wines but most seemed about average, and overpriced for the quality. I tried nearly all the reds and most of the dry/semi-dry whites that were available to taste (we shared our selections). On the positive side, you get to select seven wines, so you end up with about a full glass of wine for about what you'd pay at a restaurant, but with the added bonus of the fun experience and friendly staff. I would give the actual wines 3 stars but the staff and tasting experience 5 stars. And of course everyone has their own taste preferences so you might find some wines you really love. If you're ever at Lake George, it's worth it to find out! On a side note, one member of our group has Celiac (extremely sensitive) and didn't have any negative health effects from the wines; they tried mostly whites and nothing infused. Miles and Sarah were both happy to accommodate them by providing disposable cups from a newly opened pack, which, if anyone has first-hand experience with Celiac, you know can be the difference between a nice afternoon and a ruined trip. We've had experiences where food service staff try to assure us that everything is safe as we watch them serve bread/crackers/beer before picking up a clean glass. I understand that most people aren't trained or expected to know how to deal with customers with Celiac, but Miles handled it perfectly by listening to their concerns, pointing out the seats where the staff had been serving crackers, stating what he knew about the wine-making practices, and letting us assess our own comfort level, instead of giving us the "everything is safe" false confidence that we typically encounter from people who clearly don't understand the disease. Sarah was also great about not directly handling the cups herself, and not making it seem like it was any inconvenience. I'm not sure how much experience either of them has had with strict dietary concerns, but they certainly could be held up as examples. People with Celiac can't safely eat or drink almost anywhere outside their own home and it's a real treat to find a place where you're taken seriously, and the wines/serving did turn out to be safe. Thank you Miles and Sarah, it means more than you know!

My husband and I had a weekend without kids and decided to try some of the local wine. Our server, Carol, was fantastic. She was knowledgeable of wine and local food suppliers, informative, attentive, and really fun to chat with. Everyone working that day was great. From our warm welcome from Kyle to chatting with the various servers and the winemaker himself. They were also very accommodating in terms of holding our wine until we could come back later so we did not have to walk around the Main Street with our arms full. We will definitely be coming back.

We forgot to call and make a reservation but with some luck they had a cancellation and were able to take us. I must say that I was in retail for 40 years and every store should have a person like Abby who represents them and makes each customer feel very appreciated. She was relatively new to the wine industry, but she has made a serious dent in acquiring enough knowledge to make you feel comfortable in your tastes and choices of wine. My wife and I are VERY new to the wine world. She helped us thru several bottles of different flavors and tastes. We walked away not only buying 4 bottles, but feeling very comfortable about our choices. Yes, our tastes were a little on the sweet side, but she assured us that we would age like the wines and slowly shift to slightly drier ones. The couple next to us were wine aficionados and only tasted drier wines. Abby treated them the same as us and made them just as content as us. The staff kept walking back and forth between one customer paying for their goods and 2 young girls at the other end tasting wine. It wasn't like they were overwhelmed. This is a great place, don't let the size fool you. Sarah is knowledgeable on the wines and with helping to choose what best meets your taste. If you are concerned about sanitizing procedures and social distancing, this is a perfect place.
