Love the tasting kitchen. The staff there is super friendly and remembers us when we've gone in, even if it's been months between visits and the wine is superb. Can't forget Brix the dog - he's awesome!
I tried this wine at the Ice Wine Fest in Niagara. The wine is lackluster at best. The riesling tastes of a barn which is during considering the name Farm Girl. At the festival the people running the booth accused my girlfriend of stealing their beads and sent security after her. She was wearing costume jewellery, not my favorite, however it was extremely rude. They did not take the time to even ask us about the jewellery before accusing us of stealing from them. It was quite a rude and awakening experience as my girlfriend (a lawyer) explained that they were hers and then was threatened to be ejected from the venue. I will never buy from this winery or recommend them to anyone. Ever.
Amazing
Really good, friendly staff. First time visit and I will be back!
Amazing intimate winery. Cozy, friendly and amazing selection of wines. Great place to host private event. If you're looking for the modern, standard package deal - this is not for you... Sue-Ann Staff WInery is all about unique experience....
So welcoming and warm. Miss Brix - but a "new one" is on the way.
The family dog "Brix" meets you at the door and offers a warm welcome to this cozy winery. You are then greeted by Cara who offers a perfect seat in the tasting room where she passionately shares details of the winery and their wines. Sue Ann Staff offer delicious wines- from their sparkling wine to a beautiful rosé (riesling and cab franc blend) we were very pleased. We loved their Blanco Noir and they have a very nice ice wine too to end a lovely little tasting experience. Cozy and full of love... a gift for the taste buds and the soul!
Amazing wine ! And very knowledgeable staff I had an amazing time with my husband for my birthday
Tasty wine and helpful lady behind the counter in a cozy home setting.
I was there a few weeks ago on a wine tour with a few ladies. Of the 6 wineries we visited, Sue-Ann was top notch. Not only did Brad greet us and welcome our attendance, but he also educated us on proper tasting practices. The gardens were cozy and pristine, we even toasted Brix who was the winery dog up to a few months ago. We proceeded to purchase some wine and in the shop we met 'The Sue-Ann'. Super down to earth and the experience itself left us talking about the wines and Brad for the rest of the night !! This winery is Niagara's hidden gem ;)
Fantastic wines, wonderful tasting experience, and beautiful setting.
Absolutely love this place. Fantastic wine and wonderful staff in a quaint and clean establishment.
Very nice setting and knowledgeable staff. Heather explained a lot about the different wines that they offered.
Attended a meeting here today. What a beautiful venue! Perfect for memorable occasions. Thank you for your hospitality!
Our favourite place. Brix makes us always feel welcome.
Staff was very friendly and helpful! Great setup for tastings with covid restrictions! Delicious wine! We will definitely be back for more!
We love love love visiting Sue Ann Staff winery. The wines are delicious and interesting. The customer service is above and beyond - we always feel so well taken care of by the friendly and fun staff. The tasting room is right in Sue Ann's kitchen, which gives it a warm, homey feel. There is a nice variety of price points for the wines as well. I'm not normally a Baco Noir fan, but I really enjoy this one. They're winter open house with food pairings was so cute and fun. Oh, and make sure you say hi to the beautiful winery dog, Brix! Highly recommend.
My partner and I visited the winery as part of the Homegrown Wine festival last weekend. It was our first time visiting, and we were NOT disappointed! Bernadette was absolutely wonderful to talk to, and extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the selection of wines. We tasted several vintages, all of which were delicious, and ended up leaving with a few bottles. After our tasting, we purchased a couple of glasses of wine and went to sit with them on the patio. It had rained that morning, so the chairs were a little wet. Sue-Ann herself came outside and wiped the chairs clear of water for us! Such a lovely experience; we will definitely be back! I highly recommend a visit to Sue-Ann Staff estate winery.
Loved it. Great staff to help you and educate at the same time. Of course Brix seals it. Try the food.
Nice experience. Personally was not a huge fan as I like some sweeter wines
Fabulous service, great winery! Must visit!
Amazing wines and great service! Brad was very attentive and helped us find the exact wines to suit our individual taste preferences. We had such a great time and bought a few wines on the way out. Was one of the best vineyards in the area. Should not be missed.
Simply the best wine the region. Sue-Ann's Baco Noir is phenomenal.
Best Baco Noir I've ever had. Too bad it's not stocked at local LCBOs.
I photographed a wedding here that was held in a 'tent' - it was SO AWESOME! the winery is beautiful and plenty of photo ops around - especially around sunset!
Really good Riesling! Brix is a total sweetheart too.
This is a special place in Niagara's wine country.
Great!
Great wines with super friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Beautiful grounds for celebrations and weddings. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food tasty and the wine DELICIOUS. I have attended two weddings at this venue and both were amazing.
Enjoyed a great event
Great winery, we visited during the ice wine festival. The wine we bought (ice wine) is both great and makes for an awesome gift as they include a bit of chocolate to pair with it
Best winery!
It's our special place for delicious wines & great atmosphere.
Excellent expositions by a caring knowledgeable maker
We did a tasting here and it was like drinking wine with friends in their kitchen. Fyi - the kitchen is their tasting bar. It has an informal and approachable feel. Sue-Ann was actually in the kitchen while we were doing our tasting - which was pretty cool! There's a great story for their wines as it has been in their family for (I think she said) 200 years!
We all loved this place! It had so much charm specially the kitchen and the staff people were very friendly and felt like one big family. We were served by Deb, she was the best wine specialist I've met at Niagara region - personable, knowledgeable, friendly. So the previous review just does not make any sense! Deb introduced us to a bunch of different wine, and took her time even though it was almost closing time. We loved the Rose and Baco Noir. I can only imagine how beautiful this place is in the summer and definitely be back!
I Love this a winery. Great wine selection. Sue Ann and her staff are always happy to help you. The service is supurb. What a wonderful place in the middle of wine country. as must stop by for your favorite wine.. wonderful place for a party or wedding.
Lovely location, super friendly and helpful staff, DELICIOUS wines. I'd love to attend an event here. Nice to meet Scharaz and Brix as well.
So friendly and great wines! Have made a few return trips and likely will next time we're in the area again.
The ice wine is amazing, and the dog is so cute. If you can stop by.
LOVE this little winery. It's so nice to visit a small independent winery who values the importance of client care. Felt like home from the moment we pulled in. Wine tasting was informative and entertaining. The staff are fantastic. The wine is delicious with a wonderful variety to please any pallet. As a photographer I love the fact that they entertain weddings here also. Kara was fun... Sue Anne was approachable and super friendly. Brix ( the pup ) posed for pics and even sharaz ( the black cat ) was welcoming. Visit this winery... and if you are looking for a great location for a wedding then this would be a great choice. Look into us at Accent Studios Photography and we'll even offer a special price and package ! Can't wait to shoot here ! We'll be back ❤
My husband and I loved Sue-Ann Staff Estates Winery. It is so neat that the wine tasting is right in her kitchen and I love that the wines are named after either her family members or things on the farm. The staff was very pleasant, Jake is amazing. We ordered a pizza while we were there and Jake brought us samples of several different wines with a very in depth description of each wine while we were eating our pizza. I also love that her dog was running around the entire time for everyone to pet and love on. We will definitely be visiting here again when we return to the area.
Beautiful quaint winery on a farm. Staff are well informed on the wine and wine process. The wine was delicious. Can purchase wine by the glass, tastings as well as custom food boxes to go with your tasting.
My husband and I had such a wonderful time at Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery this past weekend! Brix (who is apparently the worlds happiest Bernese mountain dog) is the best winery mascot around! He hung out with us while we drank a few glasses of wine. The passion for great wine is evident in each bottle, as is the great customer service. We cannot wait to come back soon for some tastings!
Great wines and very friendly down to earth staff. Also vey helpful in choosing wines. Especially if your just starting out with wines
I came here with my partner and my parents and we had an amazing teasing with Jake, leaving about the property, the wine, and the process. We then walked around the pond and enjoyed the scenery. Highly recommend coming for a visit and a few bottles.
I've been tasting wines in and around Niagara for over 10 years and this is the best place hands down. The Riesling is I dare say world class. I especially love their ice wine. The people who left bad reviews don't have anything bad to say about the wines lol if you read them, there have been accusations of rude staff that 1000+ people didn't experience. Rate the wine not the people (who are always great to us btw) people can't be perfect all the time but the wine always is here.
I am local and visited Sue-Ann Staff Winery with my uncle from Alberta this past weekend. Although I'd visited several times before, this last visit was exceptional. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, the view was incredible. The wines were amazing and loved the charcuterie box. Sue-Ann was also there and so welcoming. Definitely the highlight of our day of wine tasting. UPDATE: made a return visit and Jake was one again the best host ever! Even when visiting solo I feel like I'm among friends. Couldn't help but walk out with several bottles of wine.
This is what the Niagara Escarpment wine experience is all about. Our Wheelz Niagara group enjoyed it immensely.
We had a great visit and sampled some lovely wines. Brix even kept us company while we sampled. We would definitely recommend stopping in to discover what they have to offer. Greg and Kevin, Ottawa
Love this place and their wonderful wine! Returned again this spring to restock on one of our favorites. Friendly, hospitable, gracious people. And love Brix too! We will be returning, had a great experience!
The wine is delicious, Sue Ann & her staff were lovely and the grounds are beautiful.
I came here as part of a tour; I don’t even like wine haha but I loved this place! A lady named Cara/Kara led the wine tasting and my family and I loved her - she was hilarious, extremely knowledgeable, and had a great, vivid way of explaining things. We learned a lot and had a great time. And, BRIX THE DOG WAS SO BEAUTIFUL
A lovely winery owned by a lovely lady. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy some amazing Niagara VQA wines.
What a fantastic place!! The wine is very drinkable and the people are very welcoming and down to earth! A gorgeous restored home in a beautiful setting! I can't recommend it enough!!!!!
Started off with a wonderful greeting from Brix and really enjoyed our kitchen winery experience. The staff was amazing. Taught us a lot about our wine style. Love the family history and wine names.
Fantastic experience! Staff were so friendly and Sue-Ann was on hand in the wine shop to help answer any questions!
Absolutely fabulous , amazing wines, great location .
A very lovely experience. Keep me returning.
Awesome place and the attention is superb
Wonderful experience
Wonderful place, amazing people and fantastic wine, I can't wait to return once things open back up!
The wine shop is in a beautiful old house, with Brix greeting you as you walk in. Great selection of wine from a Farm Girl to Baco Noir(my favorite) served by very knowledgeable staff. So when you go give Brix a pat on the head and say hi to Sue-Ann. If you need a place to hold a wedding they have a beautiful spot in the back.
Excellent staff helped us to find exactly what we were looking for and provided even with more amazing options. Were leaving with 7 bottles instead of 3 planned ???????????? their Riesling is mind blowing ????
Just the place I would want to celebrate my love for my husband even after 36 years..MAGICAL....
Great wine and beautiful view . Jake was very good at describing the wine flavors and smell
Highly recommend! Great wine and excellent customer service!
We visited Sue-Anns over the weekend to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and we're treated so incredibly well. We sampled an incredible selection of wines, learned a lot about the history of the winery as well as the wine and enjoyed the beautiful weather by the pond while sipping their cab franc. Great staff, great wine. We'll definitely be back.
We had a wine tasting coupon for a few different locations around there and it was exceptional. However, at Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery they had the nerves to ask us (in a very rude way) if we are aware of Covid even though all the other wineries had wine tasting available. Very disappointed. They should learn how to treat customers.
Amazing experience. Extremely personal wine flight with Karen. Such a diamond in the rough find on a back street of the escartement. Loved it. Definitely recommend.
Myself & a group of 11 women stopped by this winery as part of a wine tour for a bachelorette party. Great wine, absolute terrible experience because of a woman named Bernadette. I don’t think a woman who can’t handle large crowds of women just having fun should be a hostess . Apparently we were being disruptive, and in her words “has no problem kicking us out”. We were all shocked! Nobody was being out of control. To end this awful stop, she asked who was getting married, and my friend responded & she proceeded to insult her looks/appearance. Something is clearly not ok with Bernadette & I’m appalled by her unprofessionalism. I will be contacting the winery with a complaint. This is not how you get guests to come back.
Great wine. Amazing fireworks every year
Ice Wine was delicious... and there is a very friendly dog running around the estate! ????????
We were there with Canadian Hot Rod Tour Was excellent
Great wine! Brix, the mascot dog was a great surprise and just so sweet!
Last Sunday when we were hiking to the winery and going to buy some wine, A lady told us this is a business area, this is not a park. we were all shocked and left right away.
Brix! We loved Brix and our visit to the winery today. Very informative and professional but not stuffy. So impressed with the wines that we left with many bottles.
Amazing winery, Sue-Ann is a lovely and very knowledgeable wine maker. Her along with the staff are so welcoming and inviting, you feel like you are part of the family. You definately need to try it out if you haven't been before and if you have been before you need to go back!! Cheers
Lovely visit even during covid. I believe Brad was his name that served us - excellent service all around !
The best experience and tasting wine of any winery in the Niagara/Saint Catharines area by far! The scenery is breathtaking and the story of the family lineage and how it's tied into the DNA of everything they do is amazing. If you only ever visit one winery, this is a must
great service and nice baco noir & icewine!
Very unfriendly and rude.
The white dryer wines were good BUT the service by an older lady with chin/shoulder lenght hair was horrible. As soon as we walked in she had attitude towards us. Not knowing I couldn't walk in the room beside the tasting room since there was no sign saying so I saw the cat, went to pet it and the lady said this room is private I said ok there was nothing saying I couldn't go in there I was just petting the cat and she rudely said ya the cat says to stay out since it's a private room. I immediately left and will never be back. There was no reason for her attitude at all..very disappointed! We were at 5 other vineyards prior and not 1 employee was rude at all.
Great wine and pizza!
My new favourite winery! Less stuffy compared to many others. Really, realky great wine! will not be disappointed.
