At this moment this firm has a rating of 4.4 stars out of 5 and this rating was based on 54 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is good, and it is based on a high number of reviews, so we may say that the assessment is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to place scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Winery belongs to the category of Winery.
This by far my favorite winery restaurant. Pizza and pasta are outstanding. We had the dry reisling this time and took a couple of bottles home.
Best Nebbiolo in all of Canada! Was pleasantly surprised by the sparkling as well!
The wines are outstanding! Food simply delicious! And price point is perfect!
Great place to kick back and relax.. We decided to have lunch and it was amazing to sit outside - so beautiful - with kids running around and enjoy the wine. The food was great and not expensive. Really enjoyed their white wines. Would definitely come back...
My family-in-law and I (group of 20!) did a six-winery tour in this bench region during Thanksgiving and this was, bar none, the best wine tasting/experience. Our guide, Laura, was approachable, clever and knowledgeable. She presented us with three wines and had us taste each in a certain order, and then again in the opposite order to give us an appreciation for the different flavours that come out depending on what you've last had to drink or eat. We also ate lunch here and the pizzas were absolutely delicious! Can't say enough about our experience!
Great view, nice, casual atmosphere, good food. Some of the staff could be friendlier. I like a tasting that challenges my taste buds, but there are polite ways of making recommendations, and sadly, they weren't always employed here. We have the bruschetta and a pizza and both were delicious. We ate on the patio and the staff was kind enough to move the table so I could sit in the son while my partner sat in the shade, and we got to enjoy the fresh air and rows of vines. The wine pairings with our meal were fantastic.
Look forward to going back in the summer for a tasting as we got there too late. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the restaurant portion is still closed but looks like a great little spot to have something to eat with wine.
These guys are doing very interesting and different wines and were extremely enthusiastic and lovely during our tasting.
My friends and I often visit Niagara Region for wine tours, meals out, ect. We visited Ridgepoint for the first time through the Discovery Passport ticket. Immediately upon entering the winery it was apparent that staff were stressed and overwhelmed. Patrons inside the winery looked absolutely miserable and the staff person who "greeted" my friends and I was basically yelling at us and telling us to vacate the main area due to their being no room. We promptly left Ridgepoint and I can assure you we will not be inclined to return in the future. I get that the Discovery Passport probably brings in hoards of people, but be prepared and if you aren't, at the very least be kind to visitors.
The red wine here is truly 'next level'. Appassimento and Nebbiolo wines are buonissimo ???? 10/10 and one of our fav's.
Nice snack, sweet tooth
Wonderful restaurant, with phenomenal wine and service. We came on Mother’s Day (we made a reservation which would be my suggestion to the negative review below. It’s pretty standard to require a reservation for such a busy day ), and could not have been happier. I can honestly say it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in my life. We’ll be back
Top 5 worst tastings ever. We were the only ones there when we got there. After a strange greeting, we were asked what we liked. Then we were given 6 wines we did not ask for, or know what they were. I then had to step out because some other customer was upset because I had my 3 pound chihuahua in there. Only had 4 mediocre sips. Came back in to find a group totally occupying our hosts time. We were then charged for two full tastings,8 wines. No thanks won't be back. Much better places all around them.
Great place and food six stars winery
Been here many times. Both the wine and food is great. Staff are friendly and not stuffy. Wine maker is a riot and brings you through an interesting tasting back and forth between whites and reds. Doesn't tell you what they are until the end so your tastebuds can do the deciding. I'll be back.
Great atmosphere, great wines both red and white. A real gem of Niagara region. I fell in love with this winery when the outstanding staff kept the tasting room open when our party was running late (pre Covid tasting). Try their Bellissima, my favorite.
Italian style wines but kept too cold for tasting. Staff could have been friendlier. Mediocre experience.
Went to Ridgepoint wines, and had a fantastic wine tasting experience! Even during the pandemic, there were proper protocols in place to ensure everyone's safety. Our wine tasting host, Avril, provided a fun atmosphere and she was very knowledgeable (do you know what esters are? We do now!) and welcoming. The wines were excellent- we couldn't resist buying a few. Much better experience than some of the bigger wineries around!
My wife and I decided to take a trip to this local winery about a week ago and I was not disappointed at all. The employees were knowledgeable and very friendly! Which is especially important for me because I know very little about wine and had a million questions. We had lunch and some tastings during the same visit and I plan to be back during the summer season. For anyone in the area who is looking for a new winery to check out I'd definitely add this location to my list.
Been here many times with wonderful service today not friendly at all wouldnt help was told they were too busy getting ready for mothers day My response if you dont want to serve people close your restaurant Very disappointed lost regukar customers looking for a new wonderful place
These guys know what they are doing, they are passionate and take risks to be able to provide unique offerings to the Canadian market. In every visit either the owner or winemaker have received us personally. Also, if you are hungry make sure you check their restaurant hours, food so delicious and not too expensive. Staff is really kids friendly.
We stopped in at Ridgepoint wines, after being turned away from our first two choices as the wait times were between one and two hours. Not the case at Ridgepoint , the dinning room was empty and for good reason. The service was extremely slow and staff were impolite. I would not recommend this establishment
I visited Ridgepoint on a beautiful summer day with two wonderful friends and a tiny dog. We were welcomed with charm and warmth. The wines were exceptional, the Italian techniques really come through at this winery. The Nebbiolo was so memorable that, later this year, I called Ridgepoint to see if they could help me organize a birthday surprise for one of my original party. Avril (aka Amazing Avril) went out of her way to curate and deliver a very special selection to our birthday girl. Not only did Avril take time and care to understand or taste preferences and our budget she also went out of her way to add extra little touches. All in all FIRST CLASS customer service. Do not miss Ridgepoint if you want to see the best that this wine region has to offer. ‘The Bench’ out does Niagara OTL, IMO!
Went there for Lunch. We had the best Margareta Pizza ever with perfect crust and a beautiful Caprese Salade. We have been to Italy and the Cheff here Nailed It!
One staff member working tasting room and dining service. Took over 3+ hours to do a wine tasting and order/eat food - even had a reservation and still experienced extreme slowness. Mediocre wine at best, decent pizza
Ridgepoint has completely changed my opinion on VQA wines! I am absolutely blown away by this hidden gem. Props to the winemaker for creating such beautifully crafted products and to Avril for giving us a lovely tasting experience. Highly recommend to those with refined taste in wines - I guarantee you will appreciate the complexity of each wine you taste here.
Had a great experience here. Sampled some excellent wines and went home with about a dozen bottles. Especially enjoyed the Nebbiolo and the Sangiovese. The food is absolutely delicious, especially the pizza! This has become one of our go-to places every time we’re in the area.
There yesterday for the icewine festival. We were a group of 6. The lovely, enthusiastic, unpretentious sommelier went out of her way to take us through a knowledgeable tasting of their wines along with food pairing samples from their restaurant. The mini toutiere and cannolo Siciliano were flavourful and paired perfectly with the wines offered. The other wines we sampled were well done examples of the escarpment terroir. And the use of Italian grape varieties whether the 10 % Aglianico passito (sourced from initial Estates) blended with Cab and Merlot or the Nebbiolo was very well made and speaks not only to the skill of the vintner but also to the gutsyness of the owners to experiment with those varietals (plus Covina) in this climate. Last plus for this small winery -the restaurant is dog friendly on the patio if other guests don't have problems with it. Will be back for sure.
Lovely
With respect to the negative 1 star review by Nicole Turner, we do not have a record of her reservation. Two days a week we do double duty in wine shop and patio however we have one small kitchen for our dining and this is why we take limited reservations as we can not have many in the kitchen due to health regulations. I find it difficult to believe anyone was here for 3 hours unless they chose to as I worked Wed and Thursday with the Chef and owner. It is disappointing that these concerns were not voiced in person to us (if they actually visited) however we are happy that most of our loyal customers are grateful for us moving forward in these challenging times. Our Ridgepoint Wines continue attract some of the most discerning wine enthusiasts from all over. I know they are all grateful that our team is working hard to keep everyone safe (both employees and valued customers) and that they appreciate us putting ourselves at risk each day. We are a working winery and most days we can manage but if something happens and we run behind it is important to bring it to our attention rather than just simply hide behind a scathing review that we can not trace to try and resolve. We thank all of our customers who have supported us and continue and we will strive to improve more throughout this transition. Cheers
Great place with fantastic service. Laura was a great hostess. Thank you we will be back.
Good Vino
Using seasonal farm to table foods where possible, chef has created a very flavourful menu. A most enjoyable lunch paired with their estate wine.
Thank you Avril, for the amazing wine tasting and food. We couldn't find a better place to celebrate mother's day !
One of the best Prosecco's I've had, and from Niagara! ????????????????
Great wines. Fantastic pizza's, what a great experience .thank you
We had a wonderful experience here with our family, between a wedding ceremony and reception. The staff were excellent, the wine was fantastic and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back.
Absolutely incredible winery! The food was fantastic and plentiful and the wine some of the best I've had in the region. The view from the patio while dining is beautiful . We will be back here again...and again...and again!!!
