REVIEWS OF Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery IN Burlington

My husband and I got married at Ravine this October. Working with Katrina (the wedding coordinator) was great, especially with the added stress of COVID. She was extremely accommodating and understanding with all the last minute changes that had to be made due to government restrictions. Ravine was also very flexible with adjustments to services which we really appreciated. Our experience on the day of the wedding was also excellent. The views of the winery from the event centre were breathtaking. Everything went as planned, thanks to Katrina and the Ravine staff for taking care of the logistics. The service, food, and wine was wonderful! We would highly recommend this venue to anyone that’s considering planning a future wedding.

Came here for my 15th anniversary with my wife. It was one of many stops on our wine tour in the Niagara region and is so far our favourite winery. The atmosphere where our lunch was offered was fantastic. A clean and rustic building added to the charm of our visit. We sat in front of large windows while we ate and enjoyed a picturesque view of the orchard, hillsides and ravine. We thoroughly enjoyed the oysters and I the burger, while my wife loved her entree of the cod. Our meals were paired nicely with the suggested Ravine wines. The food was mostly sourced locally which was an added bonus. After our meal we walked the property and through the buildings which were amazing. Our wine sampling went well as is evident by the dozen bottles we wound up purchasing. I highly recommend this as a stop on anyone's wine tour through the Niagara region, especially if you are looking for a high quality meal to accompany your wine tasting.

I organized a bachelorette party and selected Ravine based on the stellar reviews. I was extremely impressed with everything (decor, food, service, wine tour, live music entertainment, attention to detail etc). We were a party of 8 and the staff were extremely accommodating. They moved our party for the dessert portion outside so that we could be closer to the live music and for the games portion of the evening. It was a busy Saturday night but the staff were very friendly. They also had bug repellent as we were being eaten alive at one point of the evening. I will definitely come back here and would strongly recommend this place.

Great wine, lovely place, I would love to try their food ! Totally recommend it ????????

VERY COLD AND NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE W THE STAFF/FOOD. It's almost as though they didn't want us there, not even kidding. Not exactly what you would expect from a winery, customer service wise. Recently went on 11:55am Thursday August 26th. We walk up to the "greeting" and check in table out front... Us: "Hi we were hoping to dine" "Do you have reservations?" "No, whats available for times?" "Welllll, we have 12:30 or 12:45...but you can wine taste first maybe?" "Sure no problem. Can you add us for 12:30?" "wellll maybe go sit and do "wine by the glass" first in this other section and come back to see me?" "Umm, can you just add us for 12:30 restaurant time? I don't want to lose a spot" "Umm well..." (Calls superior over) He hymmed and hawwed before asking for his superior. She then says there's wine tasting slots available at 12:45 and restaurant for 2pm. I must've asked 3 times to just add us to the available times for dinning in the restaurant area! Times were available and we didn't mind waiting. There was over a dozen tables unused during our one hour there. He "pushed" us into the further back area where you eat off the "cafe menu" instead of the main dining area which was why I even went there to begin with! We ordered wine and waited for the pizza "slices" we ordered. Waiter could barely muster a smile and didn't seem to care. Our pizza slices weren't even made to order, they're from the display case in the main shop. Could've at least warmed them up my god. Slices were served in a DAMN "TO-GO" CARDBOARD BOX! We're each sitting there with a $16 glass of wine! My partner and I looked at each other and laughed "Guess they don't want us to stay here long..." We had mentioned we'd like to share 2 dif kinds of slices, so a couple plates and cutlery would've been nice. WE RIPPED THEM APART WITH OUR HANDS. Was total cardboard slices and difficult to digest. PIZZA PIZZA slices would've been preferred. While we watched delicious looking stone oven FRESH pizzas go by us one waiter at a time, with numerous tables still open the entire time we were there. The most frustrating part was to see all the empty tables at the main dining area our entire time there while we ate terrible cold food. NO large pre booked groups or anything came to claim them. LOTS of confusion with the staff. Almost as though it was everyone's first day. I know the service industry has been hit hard for staffing during Cvoid, but c'mon. Know what times you have available, and slot people into what THEY are hoping to do, instead of shuffling us around like cattle with inaccurate information. There was numerous other confusing things but I can't be bothered. Many other "warmer" vibes from other vineyards in the area, I don't recommend this place. Won't be going here ever again. They fell WELL short on some simple staples in the restaurant and wine industry. We were STILL hungry when we left, and went to Silversmith restaurant.brewery for great food in a relaxed environment with the staff actually interested in your experience there.

Such a nice experience out on the patio! Our guide stuck with us through the whole tasting and we had a lovely view of the vineyard. We purchased a can of their cider to-go and it was also delicious!

Six family members enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Ravine served by lovely waitress, Barb. Appetizer and food were delicious as were the wine pairings. Do not miss the gift shop where they are super helpful and friendly and let you taste everything. Charred Asparagus Chutney and Blueberry BBQ sauce!

Melissa Jurchison

Not only is the food delicious, but the wine selection is robust with a little something for everyone! The service never disappoints and the gift shop has some yummy goodies! I always leave with their pizza slices for the drive back. Don't forget the smoked almonds in the gift shop. I joined their wine club and I have zero regrets.

Terence Scarnicchia

The location is breathtaking!!! We hadn't reserved a table in the restaurant so I spoke with Monica at the front desk and she was very helpful and nice illustrating our options. We needed up having a very very tasty aperitivo with wine, bread and cheese on their patio while waiting for our table to be ready. The view is awesome, the food excellent and the staff I'd above expectations when it come to courtesy, knowledge and being professional. The food is locally sourced on site or in the vicinity of the winery. Put it on you must go list because you will definitely LOVE IT!!!

Andrew Kim

We have dined at the restaurant about a dozen times in the past few years. The food has been always excellent. Although the menu changes seasonally, pork chops, short ribs and fish (trout) have been always exceptionally good. The charcuterie boards have been suitable for sharing as an appetizer most of the times. There wines are okay, too. I personally prefer their white wines over red ones. The service might be a bit slow, but the wait staff have been always friendly and welcoming. They used to offer free wine tastings for dining guests, but I had to pay for it last time.

Michael Rosario

Had alot of fun doing a wine tour here.

Such a wonderful & relaxing setting to enjoy a glass of wine and delicious food. Felt very accommodated with our dietary choices, waitress recommended a pizza with their tofu ricotta with mixed veggies & choice of base, it was delicious and so was the little gem salad (no cheese) ????

Attended the recent Fabulicious event on Saturday afternoon. Nice selection of choices, well presented, welcoming atmosphere. Food was good but missed that "wow" factor. Will try again down the road!

This place is the dumpiest winery I've ever been to in my life. Save yourself the time, energy and effort and go somewhere that you don't have to eat $100+ meals in a tent on picnic tables. Yes. Picnic tables. Total disappointment. Musical entertainment was a guy who just learned Guitar and couldn't sing. What a complete FARCE.

Exceptional as always. Great staff, food combinations are great. You have to try the charcuterie board with home made kimchi! Plus the organic wine pairings highlight the flavour combinations. This is a great place to go to either for a drink and something quick or a really great meal.

Allison Sicoli

Rustic charm paired with great wines! Love it here.

Samantha Sterzai

I have had both my wedding at Ravine and eaten at their restaurants numerous times. The event team, especially Katrina, is amazing, so accommodating, friendly, professional and such a pleasure to work with, my wedding day was beyond expectations. The restaurant staff is fantastic and the food and wine is some of the best in the niagara region! My favourite vineyard!

Their wines are considered some of the best in Ontario, in Canada. The property is very close to the falls and the highway systems that converge but surprisingly you feel like you're in the country when you arrive. The owners demonstrated their respect for work done well with the beautifully restored buildings and a thriving snackbar, think oysters and prosciutto, has become a gathering place for locals who want to share a glass of wine and some laid back company.

Dalia Solomonov

Due to COVID restrictions, walk-ins are not an option anymore, but we were still able to book a reservation for a 45-minute tour only a day in advance. We toured with only one other couple, and the tour guide Matt was very fun and engaging. Safety measures were taken throughout our entire stay, there was a nice variety of wines to taste (he even taught us the right way to taste), and the best part? They have a goat that lives on the property. Super sweet bonus to the tour.

5 stars to support them. First time there and I was incredibly surprise by them. Service is good, Location is very nice, food is high quality for Canada. The burger in the menu was fantastic, fresh oysters were very good. Wine was okay, being an Italian who loves wine I have high standard for wine, but I can tell that it was good. I also bought the maple mustard at the shop and the ketchup that they make, it's absolutely something to try. I'll go there again to try the steak.

Manuela B. WILLE

Nice location. Friendly and attentive service. Watermelon salad and cheese platter very good. But don't order the Lamb BLT! Instead of crispy lamb as advertised, you will get soft and flabby old mutton : (

GREAT DINE and WINE EXPERIENCE. After we had a great dinner a few years ago in the beautiful Barrel Cellar, we stopped now for lunch on the patio. We enjoyed the setting and the view. Cheryl, our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and fast with her service. We truly enjoyed the baby beets salad, mushroom soup and wild mushroom pizza. Large enough to share among us two. Of course - liked very much the Chardonnay, Rose and the Cabernet Franc. And there was live music - and too loud. In short - a great lunch experience. We will be back.

Mackenzie Miller

Great place for dinner. Great customer service. Visited before and will be again.

Some friends and I had dinner for a bachelorette and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. We ordered a bottle of the Meritage and loved it so much we made plans to come again to buy bottles of it (by the time we finished dinner the shop had closed). We ordered the smoked duck breast (pictured), mushroom pizza, salmon (pictured), and the burger, and every plate was clean by the time we left (although, we did pack the pizza up since it was a bit too much for one person). Presentation was very nicely done as well. There was a live musician entertaining as well, which was nice. The outside dining was well done and it had a great view of the vines. There was a wedding happening at the same time which is no surprise considering the venue. We came back a couple days later to buy our bottles of Meritage and opted for a tasting just to be sure. Shannon was so wonderful at recommending certain wines based on what we felt geared towards and we all ended up liking the Merlot a lot better than the Meritage (they were very similar but the Merlot did not have as bitter/dry of an after taste as the Meritage). The Small Batch Riesling was also a big hit! We're very glad we had the tastings and walked out with more (and different) bottles than we had originally planned. Overall, the food, service and atmosphere is always great at The Ravine and we'll add this to our must-go-to places when we're in the Niagara region!

I'm embarrassed to not have written a review on Ravine, as we've been coming here since they opened their beautiful Restaurant. But this is a kismet situation because so many things have changed at Ravine, as well as other restaurants and wineries in the area (as well as the world!) Despite Covid having affected so much, Ravine continues to focus on what made them popular: wonderful food, gorgeous views, fantastic servers, and excellent wine! We ate here twice because it was such a relaxing and fun experience. Over the years they've transitioned from a somewhat pricey (but still top-notch dining) in what was their main, glass enclosed, wood walled restaurant overlooking the beautiful vineyards, to a more casual huge white tent over plexiglass topped wood picnic tables (cleaned after every guest). Their pizza oven is still cranking out beautifully looking creations with both classic and creative flatbreads. Additionally, their menu includes farm fresh options like salads and other local proteins. The drinks menu includes favorites like their Rosé and other still-fantastic wines, as well as local beers and soft drinks. Servers are still professional and fun! So, without blathering on and on, Ravine has pivoted, and still provides a totally wonderful experience, especially on a nice, sunny day! Thanks to all the hard-working staff who are still executing one of the most important efforts to all of us: providing a great social connection and experience during these difficult Covid times!!

Thomas Mastromattei

The food was delicious as always, and our server Michelle was exceptional. There was also an acoustic duo playing that made this one of the best nights out.

We were here on September 19th and Moe lead us through our tastings and let me just say he was phenomenal and truly made the experience worthwhile. He was very knowledgeable and fun all around great guy. Will be back but will be requesting moe. He truly makes this place special. My birthday weekend was much improved by his presence. (I’m just saying management should give him a raise)

Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery is located in Niagara-on-the-Lake - They have the best apple cider from the area, crisp and dry, just like I love it, it’s called Hard Cider made by their sister company Lowreybros. The lunch was amazing, I tried their signature burger which is a must and you have to try their homemade ketchup! They have great wines to try, cozy house just like grandmas, and lets not forget to mention the staff, they are so friendly and fun to talk with, we had a blast teaching them a bit of french ! Next time you go there, make a stop, it’s worth it ;) #ravine #ravinevineyard #wine #cider #niagaraonthelake #lovewine #exploreontario #explorecanada

Excellent restaurant. The food and the service was amazing. The prix fixe menu was a great deal. Would definitely go again.

During my week-end in the wineyards' area, someone suggested me to try this restaurant. We discovered a very nice place where you can have a casual lunch with a beautiful view on the wineyards. Entering the fall season inspired us to choose the mushroom plate as a starter and that was the best choice ever :-) We followed their wine pairing tip with a nice Chardonnay and that was a perfect match to start. My partner tried a vegetarian dish with tofu, quinoa/squash galette, and swiss chard and even if it was too salty for her palate, she found it very creative and tasty. She had a glass of Riesling and enjoyed it. I went for a classic burger and that was fairly good. They brought a fancy tomato ketchup sauce that I've never seen before. For desert, we shared the Chocolate Cheese cake and its blackcurrant icecream and it was delicious. If I ever get a chance to come back, I'll definitely do it.

Jeff Katerberg

Wow, where to start! Great experience - atmosphere, setting, service and food were all fantastic! The team here did a fantastic job serving our group of 6. I shared the CÔTE DE BOEUF FOR TWO. Wow - delicious - the horseradish jus was incredible. Thanks so much!

Excellent food, beautiful landscape.

Had a last minute reservation for their lunch service. They were very friendly and the food was fantastic. We did the wine-tasting too after the food and it was pretty good. It felt a bit understaffed for the busy weekend though, nobody was at the till for 15-ish minutes and the bar felt quite understaffed (lots of room, but only 2 bartenders). The wines were pretty good, would recommend the white wines over anything here though. The rose was very very bland and the reds were just okay.

Anthony Ruffolo

Fantastic Experience! We had a great wine tasting at Ravine. They were very informative, we learned lots and bought a couple bottles. Highly recommend!

Maggie Wilkins

Lovely spot to have lunch and a sip of wine. Went on a Thursday afternoon and was greeted by a live musician. Enjoyed two pizzas, one their special of the day (caramelized onion, fennel and sausage) and a Margherita. I loved the flaked salt on the Margherita! COVID alterations to the space are great. Nice big marquee tent with picnic benches overlooking the vineyard. I really liked that the menus were under the plexy on the table so you didn't need to touch them to see them.

Dinner at Ravine was fantastic! I can't say enough about the food & the service was great. The atmosphere was awesome too - lovely dining experience inside the tent which also made it easy to enjoy the slightly cooler evening weather. The menu had something for every taste. We started with a charcuterie board with added cheese and followed it up with the short rib & my husband had the pizza special. We both loved everything we ate. The short rib was something special tho - I've never tasted anything as delicious - I'll be dreaming of that dish for a long time! Hope to be back in the area soon! Thanks for a memorable night Ravine!

Very beautiful winery, such a warm and cozy vibe, with delicious quality wine and food. I did a groupon deal with wine, cheese and charcuterie and the entire experience was delightful. Very knowledgeable staff, I would highly recommend this winery over the other larger wineries for someone who is looking for an intimate experience. Loved it!

Mikey J

It's a beautiful location and worth stopping for a sample, but after our third time here, we've never felt that the wines live up to their high prices. We tried the Sunday Brunch this go and it was just ok. They don't serve toast for some reason when you order over-easy eggs, and a third of each strip of bacon was unchewable fat. It was mostly fine, but again, not worth the ($18) price tag for us.

Patrick O'Donovan

Awesome helpfully staff, super cute cheese and kitchen store in the back, terrific wine, beautiful grounds, a must stop on your winery tour!

Jack 1059

Ok. Great wine, good service, but food was just ok and pricey.

Busy little winery in Niagara. Not as large as some of the more commercial wineries in the region but definitely one of my favourites. Over the years they've continued to expand the facility. The on site restaurant is a must try. If the basement to the main house is open definitely go downstairs to take a look. A meat curing room is downstairs as well as a barrel aging area and a record player.

Jennifer Deathe

Highlight of trip to NOTL- wine tasting. Beautiful view of vineyards, cosy ambience for.March. Impressed with Covid protocols. Had ore- ordered charcuterie for take out after- the best!!

C Liu

Ravine has a huge beautiful outdoor covered tent where you eat close to the vines. The picnic benches are far apart and have plexiglass for easy cleaning. They've done a great job for covid. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. Had the pizza special and pork special. Frose (frozen rose) - on a hot summer day - yes please! Why go to a chain restaurant when you can eat here. Live music on weekends. It transports you to a different world. Highly recommended.

Our experience at Ravine Winery was very underwhelming... We drove 1h25 minutes to this place from Toronto especially to have lunch, it was a sunny Saturday of July 2019. On their website, it says that that their kitchen is open from 11am to 3pm and that booking are not necessary to eat on the terrace. The food on the website looked great so we decided to make sure we get there before 1pm! On arrival (12h45), whilst we faced a big construction site, we could see the charming potential of the place, so we (party of 4 from the US, Quebec and Australia) parked the car and walked to the terrace. Right away, a person asks us if we have a booking. We quickly mention that we are there for the terrace but the very stoic person stops us abruptly to let us know that they are fully booked for the day. Slightly shocked, we mention all the above to that person who again interrupt us and let us know that this actual terrace where we stand is part of the restaurant and is not the terrace where no booking are required. The "walk in" terrace is another terrace apart from the restaurant which only serves pizza. After a (lenghty, painful and unapologetic) long discussion, we proceed to the "pizza" terrace. Arriving at the desk for the "pizza" terrace, another employee advises us that it's unfortunately 12h55 and the kitchen is about to close at 13pm for a special wedding taking place at the end of the afternoon. As if they were doing us a favor, the employe, all smiles but ignoring completely our story mentioned above, seems glad to announce that we are lucky because we can proceed to the tasting room for wine tasting (!) So we proceed to the wine tasting where a very friendly and enthousiastic and professional lady named Gisele (can't fault her at this stage, she was brilliant, friendly, and could speak french!) While we order the 4 tasting portion per person (16 mini glasses in total, 32$ total), the charming Gisele tells us that unfortunately she doesnt offer or sell any nibbles but that next door (in the same building/by the same team/same winery) there is a store with local goodies that, if we buy them, and whilst its usually forbidden, she'll be happy to have us snack whilst tasting the wine and she promise she wont say a word about it during the brief tasting. So here we are, we proceed to buy two mini boxes of nibbles and cheese at the counter 10 feet away and come back to the tasting table, glad to finally sit in a nice tasting room where we were actually happy to be the only one tasting at this time. Whilst enjoying the very first sip of wine and trying to laugh at the horrible customer service we experienced before making it to the tasting, the lady from the counter who sold us the snacks storms in, interrupt the very first sip and abruptly tells us that we are completly ignoring the signs her counter that said that we had to leave with the goods we buy, that eating inside whilst tasting was not permitted, no exceptions (!!) After telling her all of the above (it is now 13h25/13h30), seeing that she is completely ignoring what we've been through twice already on their premises, we decide to stand up and leave to find a seat outside (by the construction site or the hangar since the main area with the view is blocked by a marquis being built for the wedding for the evening. Just as we are trying to manage bringing the tastings outside, this exact same manager, with the rudest of manners, informs us (more like order us) that we cannot, at any condition, bring these 16 tastings that are in front of us because they are solely for consumption inside (!!!) Another 10 minute of trying to making them see the ridicule of their service, we gave up and walked outside and sat a table facing, 3 feet in front of us, a silver metal barrel, a rubbermaid box for tools and a corrugated grey metal wall of the hangar. And the manager to come out and say "arent you happy to be able to enjoy a tasting at Ravine Winery on such a sunny saturday afternoon!" We were gobsmacked! PS Oh, Gisele, very sorry, offered us an extra sip of red...

Joel Tanner

We are wine club members here and just recently enjoyed an amazing dinner here. Couldn't have been happier with the food, wine or service.

Incredible service in the tasting room, but just waish they had more restaurant seating available cos they were fully booked for the evening

My husband and I just got married at Ravine 2 weeks ago. What a dream it was to work with Katrina (especially during covid when plans kept changing). She was so accommodating and helpful throughout the whole process and genuinely cared about us. The staff was nothing but wonderful the day of our wedding (and every time we go there to eat!). Really just a dream venue with the best team, best service, best food and of course best wine!

Jennifer Harasyn

Fantastic location, wonderful wine and cider. Super friendly staff.

Dinah Wray

Warm and inviting!

Maureen Mackay

We are fairly new to the area and we were lucky to have our daughter introduce our to Ravine. We have enjoyed the tastings very much. The staff are always polite, very friendly and extremely knowledgable. John the manager is absolutely amazing, going out of his way to make your visit enjoyable. We would highly recommend a visit!

David Coletto

Great service and location. Ok food

Roman Dziubak

Nice patio. Good wines

Mark Ell

We have had many lovely bottles of wine from Ravine, this 2019 Cab Franc wasn't one of them. There is little to no nose and zero finish. Save your time and money.

Clo Jade

Sarah Procunier

I came here with some family members for a walk-in wine tasting, and I could not have been happier. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff were informative and very friendly. We had a Visa Infinite card, so we received a free wine tasting, but were treated with the same courtesy and attention as paying customers. We ended up purchasing a bottle of the 2015 Chardonnay, because it was fabulous. It had a unique flavour that warmed us through, which is unique for a white wine. Best wine I have ever had! I loved that you can taste the "oakey" finish. I am not a wine connoisseur by any means, but this winery made me realize how special wine tastings can be. As a side-note, their fresh-baked bread is absolutely TO DIE FOR. The olive loaf is nothing short of perfection.

Howard Smith

We toured the facility, sampled wines while visiting the restaurant garden, fed the chickens, talked about local history and geography, and purchased bottles to go. It was a wonderful tour. Our tour guide was charming and reminded me of Robert Llewellyn.

JP Chicharro

My wife would frose all day if she could

Emil Marunde

I was very impressed by the wine selection. The staff was very informative. The "meal" was amazing, from apps to dessert. The braised short rib was tender as butter in the summer.

Matt Rath

The asparagus soup was tasteless. Small portion for 10 bucks. The rest of the that we offered was OK. The pork chop was a bit dry but very tasty.

I made a reservation, expecting a nice patio, and was content to pay the fine dining prices. Instead, it's a large noisy tent with picnic tables. I have no clue what the food was like because we left without ordering. The one star is for the pleasant staff

caroline jellinck

What a wonderful evening! I come from Vancouver and thoroughly recommend Ravine. The ambiance, scenery, music, food and wine were perfect! The musicians, first Joe and Tara and then James were excellent. James involved the patrons in the set list and created a fun atmosphere. We had the cheese plate, duck (cooked perfectly) and the chocolate all of which was yummy. The wines were a perfect complement. We were blessed with the presence of the owners who were warm and welcoming. An evening to be remembered.

Paul

Enjoyed of one the best brunches I have ever had. Food was perfect and pared with some really unique wines. Staff was very warm, knowledgeable and passionate. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxed with picturesque views out the windows. Very open to families and a welcomed change from the other wineries.

Roma K

I have been here several times over the years and the restaurant is so fantastic that I remember each individual meal I had here. The wine is excellent as is the service. Highly recommend the charcuterie which is made from their own farm and the procuitto in particular is some of the best I’ve had anywhere in the world (sorry Italy). Love love love it

Navdip Gill

Jordy Yack

Pretty much the best. Try the cider and take some home too!

Kalen G

Beautiful locale but be aware, even if you purchase wine they will still charge you for tasting. Their wines are also quite expensive for the quality you receive. There are better alternatives in the area.

Julia McColl

My friends and I went to Ravine last week. I believe the lady there who helped us out was named Sally. She told us a lot about the different wines and I certainly felt that I learned what sets Ravine apart in the region. We did not try the restaurant, but we tried several of their wines. It was the 3rd winery we did that day, and the only one we purchased from. It's a beautiful property with interesting historical relevance, the customer service was above average, and they make great wine. Definitely suggest it.

Blush and Bowties

Delicious lunch, wonderful service, and perfect vista. We really enjoyed our time here.

Zac Konings

$30 for two glasses of wine. Come on!

Scott Parks

Excellent meal. Great winery location. Very nice!

Rob Brown

Inside service and attention made up for the inexcusable, poor service outside. No background on the wine, it's terroir, flavour profiles, just four half ounce pours for $20. I'm coming to experience the wines, understand the process and the land; not to be rushed in having my small samples poured and not even have the glass exchanged for a new sample. Plus we just rode 30km and was not even offered a water to refresh. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed a couple of the wines but if you want me to buy them educate me on them and treat me like a valued customer.

Roberto Andrade

Poor service and good wines

Isabelle Duclos

Ravine Vineyard lunches never disappoint. My friends and I have been going to Ravine for years and their food is delicious and we always stop in for a tasting afterwards. Their store is also great and has an array of cheeses, treats and gift items.

Royan Lee

Great cider and enjoyed the charcuterie

Daniel de Paola

amazing food, bruger is WOW!!! desserts are great... a must visit here in Niagara!!!

Graham Parfeniuk

Great Vinyard. Great Food. Very Covid responsible. Pizza was awesome. Great wine. Live music was a great touch. Take your wife. Take your friends. Enjoy.

Top end price for a not so top end experience. Food quality was a disappointment. Service slow but ok. Expected more for what you pay.

Mike de Raaf

Rebecca Mackenzie

One of my favourite wine and culinary venues in the Niagara Region. Take a winery tour and follow it up with meal at their restaurant. Great summer programming around their outdoor kitchen. Grab some oysters, a glass of vino and challenge your travel companion to a game of ping pong amongst the vines.

Sherry Robinson

They were able to get us in, without a reservation and gave us VIP service. Fantastic Experience!

Ismael Carrasco

Dan Orescanin

Service was great, food was very good but the wine is overpriced.

Adam D'Alessandro

Food was just OK. Likely not going back. Dropped in for lunch on a Friday with my wife and daughter. Table service was good but the time to get our food was unacceptable. Took 45 minutes for our main to come out and we were with a 4 year old. We were told food was almost ready, then food was coming, then was being plated, etc. Not impressed with the service especially since the food was mediocre at best.

Absolutely love Ravine! The farmhouse is perfectly situated among the vineyard and the wines are great (I have never been to a tasting where I truly liked every wine I sampled). The wine tasting terrace is really nice with great views and the staff are really welcoming and informative.

Nice.I live in Mumbai india. I m 43 Hindu religion married male. Can I get lmo job in Canada.

Our family friends of 4 visiting, and want to buy some wine, so we took them to Ravine, and did the tasting menu, we ended up choose 4 bottles, they all good, my favorite one is the Riesling with long neck bottle . Except for the wine, I also recommend tomato sauce and strawberry and rhubarb jam, and also the homemade cookies. Because they were too good, my friends took all the treats, just left me the jam and one bottle of red wine.

Alsa V.

We try to stop by for lunch whenever we are in the area. Always fantastic...every single time. We were even able to purchase the ketchup and jelly that was part of our meal. They were building an event center last time we were there for lunch. I bet it would be a great place to hold an event.

Camille

Good wines, friendly staff & beautiful venue. Would have been nice to have a table with chairs rather than a standing table for the tasting, but i’m sure that can be arranged when making the reservation!

kirit vadalia

Excellent Collection with Detailed Description from the Owner Family. Feel Like Family Members of Estate. Nice Authentic Taste and Always NEW Collection available with Smile.

Todd Ostaszewicz

I have to say that this is one of the coolest wineries around. Truly love the layout of the whole property. Great history lesson available during the tour. The asparagus chutney is a must buy.

Brianne Main

We had a great dinner at Ravine Vineyard, and the service was very good. Thank you

We just got back home and ordered Indian from our favourite restaurant!! Their Gewurtraminer is DA best pairing with Indian food! Off dry white wine just cuts off the spicy flavourful Indian!! A match from heaven!

On a regular day Ravine is one of our favorite wineries with great wine and fabulous food. In a post-covid world Ravine is doing a fantastic job taking the safety of their guests so seriously while still providing an amazing experience. A must visit for those who haven't been even if just for their frosé!!

My partner and I came to Ravine for our anniversary dinner. Upon walking in we were warmly greeted by both the coziness of the restaurant but also by the lovey staff. We ordered the house baked sourdough bread, charcuterie board, braised beef, buckwheat brownie and pavlova. We are foodies and have been lucky to experience many different foods around the world. Every bite at Ravine brought a smile to our faces. Colin gallie and John Vetere are geniuses and have created a menu that quickly during the night has become one of our top favorite meals to date. Our waitress Cheryl was incredibly knowledgeable about the winery, entire menu and wine list. Her extremely personable kindness and attentiveness paired with the food made last night absolutely perfect. If you’re coming to Niagara on the lake, Ravine will not disappoint and will ultimately be a special night you will remember.

Alys Bouchard

Amazing place. The staff is kind and took the time to explain everything. Cute house and great wines.

Lorraine Nelson

We recently attended Ravine’s Lobsterfest and I can’t express how deeply disappointed we were. The lobster was waterlogged, slimy and downright gross. There were 8 in our group and only one was brave enough to line up for a second lobster to see if it was any better. It wasn’t. I overheard the lady beside me ask if she could order food from the restaurant. The salads were good enough but nothing special for the price and especially considering the lobster wasn’t edible. On top of the poor quality food, the entertainment was not good. The performer could play guitar and had a great play list but he couldn’t sing. It was also surprising that for a winery with some really good wines we had one choice of red and one choice of white to pick from with dinner. Ravine will have to make some significant changes before their big events would be worth the price.

Mark Braungardt

Down to earth (vs most of the other snooty wineries in Niagara) and the wines are great. Has a great restaurant, specialty store, and the staff are very cool with great recommendations, Amazing ciders too!

We were planning a wedding at Ravine - but a global pandemic had another idea! Certainly a difficult time to figure out what to do, and Ravine was incredibly gracious and supportive. We can't say enough about Jennifer Moir and her team.

Went there with my wife during Labour Day weekend for dinner. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food and wines were delicious. The atmosphere was great and the views of the vineyards from the patio were great too. Highly recommended.

Eldean Ivri

Ravine Vineyard is a winery that also serves good food, all the while being nestled in the heart of the hamlet of St. David's (Niagara-on-the-Lake) Ontario!

Blaine Bryson

One of our favorites in the area. We come here everytime we go to the Niagara area and we always feel like locals and friends to the winery.

Sean Fung

Great location, good wines and great staff. Is well worth a visit.

Daniela Rubio

Gorgeous location, amazing service and great food!! I wish I would've booked earlier that 6 pm just so we can take some pictures after dinner!!

Remi Jr. Ojo

Excellent food and great service! Musqué wine was my favorite

Aisling McGeagh

My boyfriend and I went on our first wine tasting and winery tour here and had a great time. Our tour guide Kevin was so helpful and friendly. The whole place had such a nice family vibe to it and we look forward to visiting again in the summer!

Went for lunch on a sunday. Restaurant was busy, atmosphere was quite nice with view of the vineyards. But on the whole I'd say the prices were high for what you got for lunch. ordered lamb croquettes for $18. Got 2 small croquettes. The sandwich was $25 and was a decent sized sandwich but would of expected some more or larger sides. But the most outrageous charge was $14 for a glass of white wine that the bottle is sold in the store next door for 19.95. IF you include tax and tip the price of the glass is almost the same as the price of the bottle. That's 500-600% percent markup. I understand restaurants marking up booze to make profits and cover other costs. But for a winery that wants you to try their wine marking it up so outrageously I just dont get it. It really puts off customers when they see that markup so obviously.

Hollie Cook

Gorgeous property. Nice crisp wines. Beautiful cellar for taking pictures.

Mike B

The food is good, however their prices are on the high side. We had a burger and the beef shirt rib, which were good, but not on the amazing side. If their prices were better, I would give them 4**. The view is ok, and I would agree with some others that there are much better views and little better quality of food in the region. Their wine is just ok.

E C

This is a great place for dinner. I came here in the evening after spending the day in Niagara falls and Niagara on the lake. The location is very nice. The seating of the restaurant was outside overlooking the winery. The food was well prepared and served with some very good wine. Visited in June 2014.

Brad Lounsbury

Always a great experience always opportunities to buy unique local products! Great staff

Krista Myke

Good wine, service leaves a bit to be desired.

Had excellent meal with my wife on our honeymoon. Pizza and salmon was great. Tara, our waitress, was amazing and attentive. Excellent service. God bless.

Ravine is one of our favorite venues, we are always excited to photograph all of our clients' special moments there! Just a few of the reasons we love Ravine are because their staff are amazing, and the food is unbelievable. They have an amazing cocktail hour with fantastic local beers on tap! The whole venue is picturesque, it’s backdrop boasts of quintessential Niagara/NOTL charm as it is surrounded by the most beautiful vineyards. We would describe the venue’s style as Classic, Elegant, Modern, Vintage and the list goes on! The rows of vines provide the perfect amount of privacy for you to have your special moment when you see each other for the first time on your wedding day. They also have some gorgeous spots for sunset photos that will make your day feel that much more special as the warm glow surrounds you. We can’t recommend them enough and look forward to continuing working with them!

Jeff Gerrits

Worst experience ever. Recommended you take your money elsewhere if you want to be treated like a guest. Sailed 7 hours, biked about an hour, to experience the most rude and disgraceful service in all my time visiting Niagara on the Lake. We booked two tables of 6 well in advance. Hoped to eat with friends after a long day travelling there. The place was not particularly busy, but they had put our tables halfway across the restaurant from one another. Even with a spare table right beside one of the tables.... they could not, or would not accommodate having our two bookings of 6 (which were made together, and known to be a group) near one another in the restaurant. Nor allow us a table together. Upon explaining the situation to the staff, and requesting they try to do something/anything so we could have a meal without splitting us all up... the response I got was "People come from all over the world to eat here". At this point, I was beside myself. Not proud to say I swore at a few of the less helpful staff members on the way out. But I didn't spend a dime at this establishment, and feel great about that.

Christine Cabral

I cannot praise this place enough. Me and my friend came here for lunch on Saturday and it was probably the best meal I have ever had. The duck here is absolutely amazing. All the food is locally sourced and tastes fresh and cooked with care. The server was excellent and the view was a huge bonus. Such a calm place with great friendly staff. Loved it here so much. Will definitely return!

Andrew Phillips

Very knowledgeable, very friendly. Organic restaurant, event hall coming soon. Very nice wines, small winery but strong products.

Veronica D. Ornelas-Chinn

Absolutely fabulous venue, wonderful dinner and incredible staff and owner. Paul is a true gem and an asset to the winery!

Maarten Heilbron

Absolutely one of our favourite places. Excellent and interesting farm to table menu, very friendly and helpful staff, great view of the vineyard. The menu changes frequently, we love the duck confit, the short rib, and the desserts are delicious.

Christina O

Had Emma as our wine consultant and she was wonderful! Great atmosphere and great experience!

Justin Lemieux Reale

Having eaten at quite a few Niagara area Vineyards the food here is a cut above the rest. Service can be slow sometimes so pace yourself for a longer seating - the food and wine make the wait a non issue!

Scott M

Amazing dinner last night with PHENOMENAL service! They were able to get us a reservation on short notice, and were attentive and made great recommendations. As we had been eating throughout the day, we went with the charcuterie plate (paired with a surprisingly full bodied Cabarnet Franc) as our appetizer, followed by the Whitefish Cakes (paired with their Chardonnay) and the Goat Cheese & Beet Salad (paired with their Reisling) for our main. The food was fresh and delicious, and the wine pairings were on-point. The waiter accidentally brought us a glass of their Sauvignon Blanc, which ended up being our favourite wine (of which we took a bottle home). I'm lactose intolerant, and the wait staff were able to correctly identify all of the ingredients for me to watch out for on the various plates. Friendly faces and smiles all around (I was watching other restaurant staff...), so to those that got a poor reception, I'd suggest looking at your own attitude/comportement! Photos to come soon!

Adam Norman

Excellent food, drink and service. Wonderful.

Not normally a Chardonnay fan, but this place absolutely rocks it! Also possibly the best burger I've ever had. Mom had the trout and had to be physically restrained from licking the plate. Great food and drinks all round, super friendly staff... and if you appreciate a serious dry cider, they have that too :) 11/10 will be back!

Family Room

Five stars - all the way! PROS: delicious chef inspired food, fantastic wine options, Covid-19 savvy (ie picnic tables physically distanced, tables with menus under plexiglass, end table/barrel where waiters drop off food to limit contact), fresh air and beautiful scenery, family friendly (with baby chairs), kitchen is very knowledgeable about their ingredients (for families with allergy concerns), and overall amazing staff... Thank you Sydney ???? CONS: no wine tasting in picnic area. PS: Dear Mr. Owner - we nominate Sydney for a bonus ????

CAI GAN XIAN Lucas

We came here to taste some wine from the Niagara Falls region. The place is nice. There was a lot of people but the staffs remain friendly and efficient. I really like their white wine. Very tasty. But the red wine was so so for me.

Sean Hodgson

Food and wine were both wonderful. The live music was an added bonus. Definitely recommend this place, and if you don't eat meat - loads to choose from, the cauliflower main was amazing.

Neil Law

We had an opportunity to attend the Harvest Dinner at the winery. I've never been a big fan of their wines (just don't suit what I look for) but the restaurant has always been great. The evening started with with hors d'oeuvres and various Ravine wines to sample. All the appetizers were delicious, especially the chicken sausage ones and not to mention a huge fresh oyster bar. I selected meritage to start the evening but it was lighter than I expected. The dinner consisted of Cauliflower Soup, Brussel sprout salad (delicious), Rigatoni (fantastic with the sausage ragout), smoked duck breast (a little over smoked which give us the impression of a pastrami), and Niagara poached pears for dessert (excellent). As usual we found the wines to be on the light side and nothing outstanding. There was wine, a riesling I believe, that and a very strange nose to it which our fellow diners laughed with I backed away as soon as I smelt it. Wish I would have written down notes about the wines. Also the wines selected didn't do much for the foods. The spiciness of the sausage overpowered the gamay and the smoke in the duck also overpowered the cab franc Service was excellent and plates were taken away quickly. The one issue was the hall was so noisy, plus we were close to a speaker, that we had to yell to talk. So my opinion hasn't changed. Love the restaurant but can't see buying the wines.

Cipher

Great wine tasting, and great dinner service. Highly recommend the beef shortrib and wild mushroom soup. Friendly staff and good music to pair with your meal!

Sitting here right now and feel the need to write an AMAZING REVIEW! Christina and Hannah are the most friendly people. My mom, doggo and myself came for some tastings and ended up staying for a glass each and some food. If you're not sure, just come here! Wine's are delicious. Something for everyone. Thanks to the amazing staff for such a phenomenal experience.

Eugene Chernyi

Our favorite restaurant in Niagara on the Lake area. Never disappointed. Interesting menu, kind staff.

Garry Lam

Super awesome vineyard here with amazing host. Good selection and breathtaking view. Highly recommend this one!

Ermanno Miele

Visited years ago. This review might not be up-to-date but I undoubtedly have an excellent memory of that food and wine experience. We had muscles Mediterranean-style and excellent Sauvignon and Chardonnay. It was a fine dining experience. Owner and waitress just lovely. They had a style and I am sure: that sort of qualities will never be out of fashion, simply do not fade.

Calum Harper

Small vineyard. Nice homely restaurant plus wine for sale. Short hop off 401 or 405 highways.

Joseph “Joey” Donovan

A great vineyard with ample indoor/outdoor seating and fantastic food. The charcuterie and cheese boards are both fantastic and is a great portion for sharing with others. Be sure to check this place out!

Edit: went back recently, absolutely fantastic! Vibes were great: views are amazing, live music everyday, spaced out tables, food superb - pizza coulda had a bit more salt but the dough was 5/5, smoked duck nicely cooked and service was great --- It's been so long but Ravine has done it again with a spectacular meal as always. Ordered the vegetarian Forager pie with the heirloom beet salad and some extra brownies. The pie is absolutely tasty, well spiced and great portions (comes with two packages!). Beet salad is refreshing and the baguette freshly baked. Brownie was great and not overly sweet Would highly recommend!

Fabulous location and view on the back terrace.....on one occasion we were even entertained by paragliders doing tricks and manoeuvres into the sunset. The menu is creative, local and after many visits is always consistently top notch. Ravine's wine selection is also offers the region's finest selections and the staff is super knowledgeable without being pretentious.

Amazing hostess (didn't her her name, but from Halifax) . Super friendly. Great stories... Super tasty wine (highly recommend the Patricia's Reserve) and super dry cider to boot!

Finally was able to get to Ravine and was certainly not disappointed. Will be going back for sure.

Erik Postma

I'm not super enthusiastic about the winery itself, but the restaurant is better than any in its (very reasonable) price class I've been at in Ontario. Truly great cooking.

Nicolas Vocal

Apps were great but most entrés were mediocre. Nice experience but better value for your money elsewhere.

Darryl Murphy

Wow, the Riesling is fantastic. Our (my wife and I) entres were superb!

Michelle Bin

Mauricio/Moe was the absolute best host and guide that took us through our tasting. When we come back we will specifically ask for him! He made our experience so fun, he is so knowledgable. We recommend coming to the winery in the evening when the sun is setting. You get gorgeous views of their fields of the vineyard.

Lisa Bulet

First time here, loved the ambiance and wine (cab franc). The pizza would have been amazing, except I found a strand of hair stuck to the cheese, bottom part of the cheese, so definitely not my hair. They graciously gave me a second pizza that they comped, however this one had significantly less cheese. Disappointing as the first slice of the first pizza was amazing.

The restaurant is picturesque and tastefully decorated. I ordered the duck and it was the second best cooked duck I’ve ever tasted (the first one was at a 1 Michelin Star restaurant in Clermont Ferrand, in France). Excellent sauces too. We got the cheese board as appetizer, and everyone at the table loved the Canadian cheeses. Will come back if ever in the area again.

Nice property to photograph, picturesque. Restaurant is good but selection is limited, about 5 menu options for lunch but the mostly good stuff, just don't expect a wide variety. Local ingredients.

Kaetlyn Bew

Such a beautiful winery tucked away from the road, the driveway cutting through the rows of vines. Wine tasting was held on the patio over looking a sea of green vines and thr breeze kept us cool in the 40°C weather. The staff were knowledgable and Giselle helped us imagine pairing for every wine. I'm a vegetarian and she was Frank about what would work best with meat, but didn't discourage me from wines if I liked them anyway! Highly reccomend.

Kristina pastina

Horrible experience when trying to plan an event. Cancelled 10 days before event and didn’t get a refund until 5 days after the planned event date! So 15 days after they cancelled to get a refund. Only got refund on that day because I made a complaint. Said that usually take 2 weeks to give a refund… that is longer than they gave me to replan a whole event they cancelled 10 days before the event. It takes longer for them to give a refund then they expect me to plan a the whole event over again.

My favourite winery!

Early July 2021, my spouse and I attended the wine tour (45-60min) with Alisa who was our guide. Alisa was an excellent guide who was conscientious of the visitors and was knowledgeable in her wine and the winery. Great experience: decent wine selection for the tour/tasting, refreshing walk around the vineyard and farm setup. We both enjoyed our afternoon there. We didn't get a chance to have lunch there as it was all booked. Would suggest trying to book early as it seems like a popular spot. The view from the tented dining area out back looked amazing.

Sergey Ursal

Restaraunt at this vinery is really good. Both food quality and presentation is top notch. Had Tuna accompanied by Gewurztraminer - amazing!

Samantha Pohlmann

Phenomenal fixed price lunch menu. Great serving sizes, very fresh and well seasoned. I wanted to try everything on the menu! Wine pairings available with each course were perfect. Will definitely be back!!

Sergio Muzlera

Excellent experience.. Service was very good. The property and view is just outstanding... We'll be back for dinner next time.

Great place for lunch outdoors, with live music. Pizza to die for and a Melon salad that was delicious.

Lorena Sander

A food lover's winery. The brunch is plentiful and well priced.

Viktoriya Muradova

Torn with the star giving! Hostess was very pleasant. Girl server and a bus boy were very helpful. Our (guy) server was utterly miserable and made us feel like he was doing us a favor coming up to us each time (for the most part we had to call on him to get attention). He also appeared rather rude (throwing dessert menu down with attitude). Also, scallop appetizer was not fresh. Scallops had a very strong amonia scent. Waiter did not care to ask if anything was wrong with them, when picking up an untouched plate to clear. Other food was good.

After spending a day fruit picking and then at the falls we came to this lovely vineyard for dinner. The service was great and the view from the restaurant patio was really nice. We chose to sit outside which turned out to be a not so great idea since the sun was in our faces pretty much the whole time as they do not have umbrellas but we didn’t move (just tilted our seats a bit) because the weather and view was beautiful. The food was good and priced as we would have expected. The service was very friendly and not pretentious. I would say the only issue we had was the flies which would not leave us alone our entire meal. This was also another downside of choosing to sit outside but doesn’t reflect poorly on the restaurant itself (when you’re outside eating in nature). All in all we would go back - but maybe sit inside by a window next time.

The wine itself is totally worth 4-5 stars.. We have always LOVED ravine's wine's. The winery itself is also adorable, we just had such a horrible experience one father's day that still bothers all of us, and for that reason we haven't purchased any ravine wine's since.. We took our family there for fathers day and asked our waiter if the wine in the store was the same price as the wine served in the restaurant (obviously there may be a slight fee increase due to it being in a different room...) and we were told that it was the same price. Since we had purchased a few bottles that were around $25 each, we decided to treat ourselves to another 2 bottles with our lunch. Once our bill had arrived, we noticed the 2 bottles were around $80 EACH... the same exact bottles they were selling in the room beside the restaurant for $25. We had mentioned that to our waiter who had admitted that he must have made a mistake, but had to get a manager to try to deal with it and the manager was so pathetically useless that it just set us right off.. Instead of dealing with it in a polite and friendly manor, and apologizing for the employee's mistake and maybe even taking the cost of one of the bottles off, we were offered absolutely nothing but a snarky comment.. It's so unfortunate too, because you'd think that such a nice vineyard would hire someone with good customer service training that could handle situations like this better, but no. We're the kind of people that will keep going back to a place that's friendly and has good customer service, but after being done SO dirty by the manager and the employee for an error we didn't even make, we just haven't returned.

Amazing spot with a beautiful back patio and grassy area to relax and enjoy some delicious wines.

We have come to this restaurant to sit in the idyllic backyard and enjoy a drink and some wood oven pizza for a few years now. Took a couple year break but returned today to the same wonderful experience. Great view, good servers, but... The only flaw and I think it is a crippling one is the rising prices of pizza. Honestly a personal margherita pizza for 22 or a specialty for 25? Two pizzas and two drinks hit us for $75 that’s a bit steep. I feel as though the prices were lower before and crept up. The price is a bit astounding and it makes me question if we will return for another year. For reference we had a steak and lamb dinner in one of the vintage hotels nearby and our bill was cheaper than that for a couple pizzas... think about it guys.

All dishes were excellent and their wine was truly world class. This restaurant is a true hidden gem; the kind of place you bring friends to in order to show off your good taste while still having a comfortable semi-casual environment. If you really love great food do not miss this place!

Lovely family owned winery. Great tasting pairing and tour. Wonderful resto. Tasty wines.

Excellent restaurant.

Ravine absolutely never disappoints, even during a global pandemic! I had a fantastic lunch at Ravine with my family. I have the penne pasta with mushrooms and chicken, my wife had the butternut squash soup, and my daughter had their legendary burger. The star of the show was the pizza of the day, with bbq sauce, chicken, double smoked bacon and pickled onions. All this great good, and for a very reasonable price, and a great dining experience. I eat here every time we visit Niagara.

Sarah D'Onofrio

Some of the best wines and views in Niagara. Great service and welcoming, casual atmosphere. A must!

Edward De Groot

Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit, and we'll be back soon. The view is spectacular and so is the food. The short ribs were tender and paired well with the cab franc.

Haley Nemcko

Michael was an excellent tour guide! Veey informative and fun! He answered all our questions and then some! Taught us about wine and the history of Ravine too. The wines were absolutely fabulous to top it all off! Newest visit!!@! Love this place so much! Stopped in for a tasting with a group of friends and had a blast! Joel was serving us and he was the best! Very knowledgable and friendly! Great wine and great staff. Also recommended stopped at the bakery for treats and bread. And they offer an amazing wine club as well.

Stephanie Van Pelt

We'd made reservations for the Private Reserve Tasting (at $10/person this turned out to be a FANTASTIC deal), but showed up early and popped in to the restaurant. Although we didn't have reservations, they served us drinks and appetizers us in the waiting area until a table was ready. We were so comfy where we were at we just stayed put! Next we were ready for our tasting. We were very pleasantly surprised that the tasting included charcuterie along with the reserve wines. Our host, Michael, was lively, knowledgeable and interesting. He clearly knew the story behind each bottle and spent 90 minutes with us. We spent 5 days in Niagara-on-the-Lake touring vineyards. This is the ONE vineyard I pretty much told everyone else they must see. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire visit.

Jillian Scholten

We were directed here for the wood fired pizza, but the pizza oven was closed. We stayed anyway but it was not worth it. We ordered the cauliflower steaks and they were unimpressive. The entire plate was void of colour. White cauliflower, white beans, white tahini sauce, tasteless black sesame crumb; and worse it was pretty well void of flavour. It is unbelievable how every cook thinks they are a 5* chef these days. At $27 a plate, that should have been the best damn cauliflower to ever pass my lips. At the very least, I should have walked away full. The wine was acceptable, hence the 2nd star. Pricing something high does not make it taste extraordinary. This restaurant should reprice the menu or hire a more creative head chef with a more refined palate.

Jacquie Fuentes (Jax)

Always fantastic.

Andrea Pohlmann

We had an incredible prix fixe menu with wine pairings - and I don’t want you to skim past the word incredible there. It was SO good. I can’t wait to come back!

Allie Margeson

We did a wine tasting with Charlie - he kept it very fun and lively. We were disappointed by a last minute change to the wood-fired pizza patio’s hours after I had called to confirm the weekend’s hours but we decided to come back the next day to try our luck and we really enjoyed the margarita pizza and the chef’s special - blueberry barbecue base with short rib, mozzarella, green pepper and red onion. The pizza patio overlooks the vineyards and you can purchase wine by the glass - great concept.

Ben Banks

We had a very nice tasting here with Hailey, who was attentive and informative even with a busy crowd in the tasting room. I liked the Cabernet Rosé and the botrytis Reisling.

Andrew Lewis

The wine is decent and most of the grapes are grown on the property which is a plus. However, I have never met such rude restaurant staff in my life. The nasty looks and comments they gave us because we had a sleeping baby in a stroller is beyond unbelievable. If we hadn't already spent so much on good wine and ordered food we would have left. Asked for a manager bit was told by the hostess in her mobile phone the whole time that they didn't have one. Can only recommend this place for the wine. Nothing else.

Mashid JBR

I love this vineyard...! Location is close to Niagara-on-the-Lake, very special menu, we had a fun day. I recommend this place for ceremonies as well!

Valentina O

First of all the place is beautiful. My friend and I had an appointment for a tour and wine tasting. However, it started pouring as soon we got there. The (what i assumed to be the manager) was very nice and offer us a refuns or we could only do the wine tasting and she would refund us the difference. We decided to have the wine tasting and I did not regret a thing. The wines were good and the staff very nice. I would definitely recommend this place.

Maria D'Orazio

Such beautiful views, wonderful staff, and delicious wine. Cannot wait to come back and bring my dog with me.

Amy Ribble

The food here is delicious and the setting is so relaxing. Leave your self enough time to sit and enjoy the setting. Not because the service is slow but because it is so nice. The service was fantastic.

Vance Booker

Wonderful stone oven cooked pizza, great music and cold Steam Whistle beer at a winery!

Camille Matute (CA)

The absolute best spot for a vineyard wedding - the incredible team at Ravine are the absolute BEST to work with and incredibly talented. Initially set to have our wedding in July 2020, Katrina (the events coordinator) was extremely flexible through the many date changes due to COVID restrictions & so helpful. She helped us through so many changes and shifts, and was incredibly thoughtful and supportive as we navigated through this pandemic. Day of, she was PHENOMENAL & we did not have to worry about a single detail - she made sure everything was moving along smoothly, checked in on us consistently & was so gracious throughout. The food was DELICIOUS, and the options were great for all diets. We received so many compliments on the food, it was hands down the best option we found! Finally, the staff - everyone we ever interacted with (from beginning to end) was nothing but gracious, kind & delightful - we are SO looking forward to coming back every year and enjoying the delicious food & wine for years to come !!

Duo d'Amore

A wonderful location for a wedding. This winery has several location on the property (all with amazing views of the surrounding countryside), and the wine is not to be missed. It is always a treat for our string ensembles (solo violin or cello, violin and cello duo, string trio and string quartet) to perform here! Highly recommended.

YUNMEE LEE

I am a loyal customer to Ravine. Actually, I love their pizza, but Pizza place is closed on Mon &Tue. I also love their wine, especially Chardonnay reserva ($50). I got 2 bottles of reserva 2014 after dining, but it tastes little bit disappointing. It is not what I tasted before. Food and service were mediocre. I probably find other winery and restaurant.

Alsa V.

We try to stop by for lunch whenever we are in the area. Always fantastic...every single time. We were even able to purchase the ketchup and jelly that was part of our meal. They were building an event center last time we were there for lunch. I bet it would be a great place to hold an event.

Jackie La Fave

Brian Jakovina

Some of the finest wines Ontario has to offer. A must try wine tasting if you've never been. The restaurant is casually chic, with some great tasting items. Try the bison burger. Price wise it's a little on the pricey side for what you get, but fairly typical for the wine region.

I made a reservation for Friday August 2nd to celebrate my 5th wedding anniversary with my wife. I wanted to take her somewhere nice and we often frequent many wineries in the Niagara region. We arrived a little early around 5:50pm for a 6pm reservation. We had been there once before for wine tasting but this was our first time doing dinner there. Upon our arrival the hostess greeted us and took us to our table. There were plenty of tables available yet the hostess sat us near the entrance. It didn't bother me too much but I thought to myself that this was a special occasion and hoped we would have been seated near the window, only one table was occupied but I didn't want to make a fuss. My wife and I waited nearly 15 minutes and no one came to our table to greet us or even offer us any water. I'm more passive so I patiently waited for a server to come by. I myself had been a server for 4 years so I know about greeting a table upon initial seating but no one came. My wife on the other hand strained to make eye contact with many of the servers passing by, some tables even had 2 servers serving them yet we were left looking for someone to help us. Some servers did look our way but none of them came to our table or even went to grab our actual server. I'm not one to complain, I'm usually very patient with people and give them the benefit of the doubt but when you're paying early $200 for a night out to celebrate your wedding anniversary you would hope that the establishment you choose will deliver. I could have flagged a server down to request water and to order our food but if an establishment such as this is expecting to deliver a fine dining experience, one would expect the level of service to be impeccable unless Ravine's definition of fine dining was to serve yourself... We decided to leave and my wife mentioned to the hostess about what happened and why we were leaving. The hostess offered us to sit at the bar and enjoy a pizza... and my wife had to reiterated that it was our wedding anniversary. We eventually went to Noble and had an amazing experience.

Truly a gourmet experience nestled in some of the most lovely vineyard vistas in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The portions and creations are generous and inspired with insightful wine pairings offered for each from the winery from which the restaurant and associated wedding facility has grown. We had the pleasure of enjoying a wine tasting and dinner at Ravine yesterday. We had a high end business partner with us, and wanted to give him the full Niagara experience. I cannot express how perfectly the team at Ravine coordinated our visit. Which began with a history lesson and tasting with Emily, who was able to speak French with our guest, was welcoming, knowledgeable and passionate about where she works. Our hostess Maddison was very professional and ensured all our special booking requests were met - and then some! I am sorry to our server- who’s name I cannot remember- she was also very professional and passionate about the wine and food she served. She also served us with great balance of being tentative, yet respectfully gave us space to talk business. I cannot recommend Ravine enough for anyone looking to showcase Niagara to visitors and special guests, for the elevated, yet comfortable experience! Well done Ravine!

Donna Drought

The wine was ok, but the service was lacking. No one provided an explanation for the chocolate pairing or the wines we tasted. Don’t order the Farmer’s Board. They provided about 5 oz of food for $20. Very expensive for the experience.

Lawrence Cadacio

The wines here are absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend the charcuterie platter. A great selection of wines with world class service makes this a must stop while visiting NOTL

Quite disappointed with the Ravine Winery experience. Not able to be seated for dinner (i understand it was a Saturday but we were at the winery to purchase wine and thought...): the girl at the front told us it would be impossible to stay for dinner. She then offered the bar but informed us that they would not serve menu food just appetizers, due to being booked fully in the dinning room! Went into the winery to do tastings and it was crowded, we walked around for a bit and entered an area where people were seated for wine tastings. The gentleman serving the tasters, told us we could not stay in there since we had not paid for the tastings. We tried to explain that we were wondering about until a space cleared up at the front tasting room but he totally ignored us. In fact, turned his back on me as I was explaining. Not impressed. Not going to drive out of my way to go there again!

Fredrick Chiu

The best restaurant and winery in Niagara by far. The views are gorgeous. Some of the tables are reserved for members(good thing my wife and I are!) Love this place. Food is among the best in Niagara, attentive service and serene setting overlooking the vineyard.

We had lunch there today. The trout is amazing. The balance between the kimchi rice and mint is really something. 5 stars for that. The chicken sandwich is a bit too salty. I wouldn't recommend. Also, they don't have an espresso maker on the premises. A bit of a let down after having two mains and a bottle of wine.

Did a dinner followed by a tasting on the outdoor tent-covered patio. The vibe was excellent with live music. The duck breast is the most aesthetically-pleasing meal I've ever seen and tasted just as good. The wines were above average quality for the Niagara region. A well-worth stop for dinner and drinks towards the end of a day in Niagara

The bench seats with no cushions are painful and I felt it's made like this so diners won't stay long. The short ribs was great bit the pizza had little cheese. The server shoved the bill down our throats right after food which is sign that they needed a quick turn over of tables.. sigh.. not customer service oriented. I wouldn't go back.

George Poli

The tasting experience here is below average. It is basically a drop of wine per selection, total doesn't even amount to a half a glass. For $8 a tasting I would expect a bit more. Also it is now extremely busy, so don't expect to be given a basic overview of their product. Overall pretty disappointing compared to the last time I was there.

(Translated) It is a very stylish and lovely winery owned restaurant. You can enjoy delicious food and wine while watching the vineyards. I stopped by before heading to Niagara Falls. It seems that it is hard to find a good restaurant if it is too close to Niagara, so it seems to be a good choice to eat here before and after Niagara. It's a very memorable place. My wife and I were recently married in September at Ravine Vineyard. We cannot say enough amazing things about Katrina and the whole team at Ravine Vineyard! Our wedding was originally scheduled for September 2020, and Katrina helped us to reschedule our date for the following year without issue. Planning a wedding during the last year was not easy, but Katrina spent an incredible amount of time answering our questions via email and conference calls throughout the whole process. She is incredibly professional and understanding, and her level of service is incredible! Our wedding day was phenomenal - the food was amazing, the staff were accommodating and attentive, and everything went off without a hitch! We would recommend Ravine and Katrina to anyone for their wedding. It was perfect!

One of the best restaurants in NOTL - love the farm to table seasonal offerings. Pizza oven in summer is also great.

Appetizers and entrees that we ordered were mediocre for such an upscale place. While seating us, the server/hostess set the wine menu next to my glass, which fell over when she let go of it, spilling my full glass all over me. She failed to offer any apology, acting annoyed. While I was in the ladies' room cleaning up from the spill, I overheard her telling other staff members that I spilled my glass all over myself (probably so that she wouldn't get in trouble). Nobody came out to apologize and our service was so so the rest of the meal. Also, our table for two was situated in a very darkly lit corner). We were very disappointed with our experience.

pat gardner

Have used the old takeout menu with stews etc on it, the food was good and easy pick -up . The prices were reasonable considering it was takeout and not table served. The new menu came out and the prices went up a lot. Braised short ribs went from $22 to $36 overnight. that is over a 60% price raise. The half chicken went from $22 to $26 overnight. I think that is a bit much, how do you justify that. I find that takes away the value considering it is take out food.

We absolutely loved having our wedding at Ravine Vineyard this year! It was a pleasure to work with Ravine, and specifically Katrina who made communication easy and efficient. Due to COVID, our original wedding plans changed dramatically. Nevertheless, Ravine was extremely flexible and provided solutions for the frequently changing restrictions. They made every effort to work with us and make our vision come to life, while taking appropriate safety measures for our guests. The food, cake, and wine were delicious, and the grounds are charming with a rustic elegance. Overall, we couldn’t be happier we chose Ravine! The day turned out amazing, even though it was quite different than our original pre-pandemic plan. We would recommend Ravine Vineyard as a wedding venue to any couple!

Eric Pfeffer

They have started a take away menu...it’s awesome. We ordered the pizza and burgers...so good! Service was fantastic. Love supporting local as well!

This is a must-visit on any trip to NOTL. We asked around where would be the best winery to grab lunch. Ravine kept coming up - so we decided to check it out. We were not disappointed. came here because we were visiting with friends who had a dog and this was one of the few dog-friendly spots in the area. we booked a tasting but couldn't get into the restaurant because they were fully booked for the evening. Tasting was great, Meghan (I believe her name is) was excellent at guiding us through the wines, and then I asked anyway if they could make room at the restaurant and they did! having tried a few vineyards, I really think this place is an excellent experience all-round with great wines, tasting experience, and restaurant

Awful food, awful service and awful wine.

Nothing special. Entree was ok, pork chop that had a lot of fat, on a bed of wild rice and some veggies. Portion of rice and veggies/ratatouille could have been larger. Flavours were decent, but portions/value was lacking at that price point. The dessert, lemon trifle, is what kept this at review at 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 stars. The dessert was one of the better ones I've had - not too sweet, nice textures, nicely presented. Would have been nice is bread was served as part/before the meal.

Bobby B

Loved what they did to the place! Nice patio tent, with spacious sturdy tables, our friends had roasted half chicken that looked great, and they said was delicious, we had canned beers, that we found a bit expensive for 473 ml. No draft beers available, so we where disappointed about that , but they have great tasting wine...

Excellent service from our server Talia. She made some great recommendations for both food and wine. My husband and I spent our anniversary lunch here and enjoyed every bit of our experience. The pasta with braised rabbit was amazing alongside the Chardonnay - both recommendations from Talia! We will be back again to enjoy the service and food/wine again !

Treschak Enterprises

I've eaten at many restaurants in the Niagara Region, of them all Ravine is in my consideration the best of the bunch. their customer service always goes above and beyond, the food is to die for, the wine is spectacular, and their selection of local craft beer warms my heart!

A. Abtahi

restaurant service SUCK! Nice place but the staff are not friendly, I had a reservation for a table. when we got there, they gave us the worst table close to door and right at kitchen, although they had 5/6 other better tables with no one sitting. we asked them few times for a better table but no one cared! I wont absolutely go back there and do NOT RECOMMEND the restaurant at all. they need to learn to be respectful...

Delicious varieties of wine, beautiful indoor and outdoor dining with a great retail store for all your wine tasting needs. Be sure to try their wood oven wild mushroom pizza, a sin if you don't.

Ravine, as usual as EXCELLENT, courteous and efficient staff great wine, great scenery with aromatic breeze wafting off the vineyards...

Matthew had made the suggestion for my wife and I to try the Ravine winery. He told us he also worked there while he was our waiter at Queens Landing. We just want to say that both places are lucky to have someone like him working for both places. He spoke highly of his employees and he was obviously trained by some great people. We enjoyed, immensely, our experiences at both places. Thanks Matthew for making our experience a very good one.

Jesse Cressman

Went with my Fiancee for a great evening. It was not very busy but was expected for a Sunday in the winter. We started with a tasting and had some wonderful wines and purchased some to take home. Their Cider was very impressive and a must have if you enjoy dry cider. After, we made our way to the resturant and enjoyed a beautiful sunset looking over the vineyard. We shared a delicious cheese board to start that came with a few extra surprises including a strawberry preserve, apple chutney, and some amazing smoked almonds. Both of our mains were perfectly portioned and full of flavour. Overall we had an outstanding experience and look forward to visit again in the summer to try their wood oven pizza on the patio.

Tasting was fantastic with Carmelo and Catherine, they provided such excellent service, beautiful location!

Kim Koroll

I have mixed reviews. Food was amazing, service great, atmosphere great. Did not care for fact that cooks made food without masks on. Pizza maker had mask wrapped around elbow but they expect customers and servers to wear them.

Mitch MacLeod

Went to the restaurant for lunch and was very pleased with the food, wine, and service. Their online store is also great and they deliver next day to Hamilton. Highly recommend the Sand & Gravel Sauvignon Blanc.

Lane Trudeau

We found this winery very beautiful great staff and of course one of the best wines we have had in Niagara on the lake take the time.e to stop in and check them out..

Casey Gosleigh

Great visit, only feed back for sit down tasting would be to provide something to write on so you remember what you tasted and what you liked about. That would make choosing a wine to purchase easier.

Diane Vandenhaak

Had a great burger! Fantastic rose on the patio, overlooking the vineyards.

As always, amazing food and service.

The restaurant is amazing and very well priced for the area. I expect to pay more for quality food and service. Our waitress was Barb and she super nice and attentive to our party of six. We went next door for a tasting and the young man who assisted us was Mac. He was also very nice and patiently answered our questions. We sat for a tasting instead of standing at the bar area and we never felt rushed. Great experience!

Alexandre Brunet

The wine tasting bar had poor service. When asking what Ravine is known for, the employees couldn't suggest a single wine. The gentlemen with the beard was rude and didn't allow my family to have more than 1 tasting at a time.

Murtaza Shambhoora

Expensive wine tasting compared to other areas, and the wine was okay

J Ford

Went with a group of 12 people and received excellent and prompt service with delicious food. We ended up going with a 3 cource meal - everyone tried something different but the tomati soup and white fishcakes were a big hit. The fish and porkchops for the entree was also loved and creme brulee for dessert completed the entire meal. Some had the date dessert which was decadent and sweet - had a bit of a carrot cake taste which was great. Would highly recommend.

Mike Gerard

This is quite literally the best meal I have ever had. The chef is an artist and satisfied my palette like never before . Amazzinnggg

Great place! Been there four different times to date and it’s always been excellent. Outside or inside seating are both good. Local and seasonal food. Take some time to visit the wine tasting bar in the adjacent building. Enjoy the outside bar during the summer time. Will continue to go back...

Megan Blondin

Started with an amazing lunch with a beautiful view. The cheese board was a highlight but only until our entrees came - the steak frites and duckleg confit were top notch and the service was on point. They even had off menu options for the kids. The wine tasting after was one of our favorite experiences this trip. We even left with a selection of cheeses and fresh bread from their small market to take back to our room!

Ray Ruvinskiy

Incredible setting and great food.

Doug Short

An example of how to lay out a patio during the pandemic. Great food, great view, live music on occasion.

Julia Haggerty

First time dining here. Would not return. While the dining room was pretty, the food was bland and very poor value. The $38 pheasant was decent, but sat on a bed of greens; not a seedling potato nor a spear of asparagus to be found! Ugh! Why do pretentious restaurants feed (or not feed) their guests this way??? The halibut was below average; no flavor with a hint on amonia which I attribut to older fish. Our server had a snobby air about him. Oh, the reserve chardonnay was excellenct; we thought about buying a few bottles for home, but not at the $50 price tag!

Knowing they’re famous for their pizza but I wanted to go differently so made myself a 3 course meal - melon salad, salmon, plum peach pie. Honestly pretty nice food. Great environment and vibe, would be back again! Do give their other a la carte items a try

White wines were nice. Beautiful property. Lovely host.

Absolutely love this winery’s tour and tasting; we go almost every summer. I’d recommend their $45 prix fixe dinner option.

Cat W

Like that it is organic and the house has an interesting history. Neat things in tge little griceey store. The meal in the cellar was really nice!

Absolutely fabulous venue, wonderful dinner and incredible staff and owner. Paul is a true gem and an asset to the winery!

We had first started going the the Ravine Winery several years ago and it became one of our favorite spots. We enjoyed the food and wine....and the farm like experience. We decided to go for my husbands birthday recently. The service was good, our waitress was accommodating and friendly. However, the food, a different story. We started off with the charcuterie board which we enjoyed. We then had the scallop appetizer consisting of two scallops (or less) cut up into smaller pieces, accompanied by a wild onion chard. The chard was so salty that it destroyed any chance of tasting anything else in the dish but an over salty flavor. My husband had the tri-tip of beef for his main. On the plate was: 4 x 1 inch pieces of beef mixed in with spinach and a beef sauce, 3 half pieces of radish, 1 split pea cut in half . The beef sauce was dull. The amount of sauce was approximately 1 tablespoon. My dish was the halibut, it was good, however the parsley crust on the fish was not a crust texture, but tasted as if it was just parsley flakes. Our desert was the "maple walnut coffee cake". This tasted like an unrisen cake that was over baked. The maple sabayon sauce was very minimal and unfortunately was needed for this dish in order to bring the cake back to life. Our wine, we decided to go for a 38 dollar bottle instead of a 60 dollar bottle and it sure tasted like it. Well, equvilant to a wine purchased in a retail store....that would be valued at $8.00. Our bill came to just under $200.00 including tip. I have read other reviews below and I agree that something has changed with our favorite spot. Is it possibly inconsistency in "chefs" or maby due to the recent expansions. Has it lost that NOTL charm? I'm not sure. But one thing I am sure is that we will be looking for a new favorite spot where spending $200 for a meal doesn't fell like you have been robbed. or due to the expansion have they lost that NOTL charm? But one thing I know for sure is that we will

Well executed plates in a beautiful venue. Would definitely visit again.

Marinna LoParco

Beautiful vineyard with delicious food. Slightly premium pricing but worth it.

I have been to the restaurant at Ravine four times. The food is always fantastic-- you can't beat their $45 prix-fixe dinner. The service is excellent. The ambiance and view are the best around. I can't wait to go again.

Jerry Smith

Excellent service, very knowledgeable staff and great tasting Meritage!!❤

Debby Adams

We has such a great time! Delicious wine, friendly staff and safe environment! We will be back 100%. Thanks for a lovely afternoon!

Had the most fantastic birthday dinner with my girlfriends here lady night. The food, atmosphere and service were fantastic. Amazingly priced winter promo. I'll be back this summer for sure

Libby Gilbert

awesome food, and the 3 course menu was great value!

Joe Pillitteri

Amazing setting, amazing wines, amazing restaurant, amazing staff and one of the most generous businesses in every sense of the word that Niagara has to offer!!! Go to Ravine - you won't be disappointed.

Some friends and myself recently attended Ravine winery for an event and for dinner. I have to say the food and service are top notch. The short rib beef on the menu is just incredible. I would highly recommend this winery for lunch or dinner.

Went there last year in June, and had a wonderful time! All of the staff were super friendly, especially with our puppy we brought. Did you know they actually want you to bring your dog, and will give them treats? First time I have ever been to a winery that says they want you to bring your dog! Was a wonderful experience that I will never forget. The cherry on top was that the owners of the vineyard were actually sitting with some friends on a porch of the winery, watching all of the events going on around them. They had my dog and I come up and say hello, and were very down to earth and friendly. I felt like I was back home visiting some close older relatives. I hope to visit again in August when I return for another visit. Highly recommend this vineyard!! P.S. The wine was great too!

David

The worst service we have experienced in any winery that we have visited.....and we have been to over 70. We did not fit the Hipster description I guess. The server talked badly about us to another table. Too bad for Ravine since we spent approximately $10,000.00 on wine that day alone. None at Ravine. Their organic wines are not that good. Great place for hipsters to splurge on a flight or two and hang out for hours feeling special because they drink organic wine. Glad to say we' ll never be back!

mahnaz karimi

First time been to this place just for lunch. We did not taste any wines, so no reviews on that. The environment is actually nice. We asked for patio and there was a nice breez and shade. Service was really good. Staff were friendly and polite. Tomato salad was extra ordinary. We ordered pasta, hamburger and lamb BLT and were disappointed with all. Chicken in pasta tasted awful. It was not fresh. Hamburger was salty and again meat not fresh. Sandwich was too greasy and again meat not fresh. Dessert was mediocre as well. Over all, food does not worth the price. Will not go back nor do I recommend this place.

(Translated) At the restaurant, we ate a Burger (high range), probably the best ever tasted in our life (me and my wife). Everything is homemade (Ketchup, bacon, cheese, sauce, fries, bread).

We had a wonderful time here. Beautiful scenery... ordered wine and walked around to take pictures... then sat outside and ordered one of their wood oven pizza's which was very delicious... they had a live music band that was playing...we had a wonderful time and would definitely come again... ohh and they had a huge tent set up for people to sit underneath to drink, eat and chill.

Jordan Krause

Excellent wine paired with a small but varied menu of finely crafted meals. Amazing desserts to end the night, albeit a little too small to share.

Patrick Kennedy

Excellent outdoor patio set up for the tasting Nice selection of both whites and reds, couple of sparkling/crémant, some ciders as well. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, the lunch was also great, burger paired well with the Ravine 2017 Cab Franc - good place to pause for a lunch in the midst of your Niagara winery touring

It’s really gone in the wrong direction. First of all I will say that the staff remain great but the wines have become seriously overpriced The popularity of this place has really led to its decline. On a recent Saturday there was nowhere to taste and they seemed understaffed. When we managed to get a tasting the wines were just ok and too expensive for the quality

Sujatha Kanthavel

Beautiful atmosphere, best food, wine and music. we will difinetly come back here again.

Silvia Silva

Absolutely amazing love Revine been going there for the past couple of years never a dissapointment. Service is top notch thanks everyone and a special thanks to Michelle our server for today she was amazing . Stay safe everyone see you very soon.

Yakov Zolotnitsky

A good wine. We took the wine tasting tour-very nice experience. Beautiful place!

Portia Benjamin

The Ravine Vineyard Estate had an amazingly beautiful view, it was relaxing to sit under there large breezeway tent and enjoy our Meal. I ordered the Grain bowl with Salmon. The quinoa salad had an amazing dressing which I really enjoyed. The Peach Arugula Pizza was super crispy with a light airy dough which left me drooling as I sampled my sister's pizza which left me wanting more. The Burger was juicey and the Cheese tray with roasted almonds were the perfect starter to our meal which highlighted the pickle relish, which by the way should have been available by the jar for sale as it was off the charts amazing. We will surely back. PS. Would have liked to see meats suchas Duch and Steaks on the menu.

Greg Mepham

Excellent food

Decided to check Ravine winery out as we were in the area doing a chocolate tour and had a horrible experience. As soon as we walked in we received dirty looks and weren’t greeted. After 10 minutes at least three people still had not said a word to us so we ended up leaving. It was the epitome of poor service for a family run business. Will never recommend or come back, as I expected much better.

Great wine! Great service! Great food!

Scott Freeman

Food is good, but the wine is outrageously priced. $60/bottle for average quality wine. $16 for six ounce glass.

Sel Scalzi

Such a beautiful dining experience! Ravine had a very large tent up behind the restaurant with plenty of seating for customers. The view is spectacular! It is nice and shady and fairly distanced from other tables. The food was amazing. Definitely recommend the charcuterie (with cheeses added). The pizza is a must-try as well! On top of everything else, there was live music! The musicians were amazing and created such a lovely ambiance. Will absolutely visit again!

Zheren Yang

We went there for lunch this year. Love the food there. It gives farm to table a nice upscaling twist. The view is nice. Everything was delicious.

Pepper Pete

Have been a few times and will continue to purchase the wine. Ambitious menu, but hit -and -miss. The wine is really drinkable.

Carla Mark

We were a group of 6 that booked a tasting last minute and had a beautiful spot on the patio facing part of the vineyard. Christina was a.womderful host and explained all of the wines with excellent expertise!! We had the best time, thank you so much!!

Kathy Gomez

Chicken sandwich was burnt. Uneatable . The pressed coffee had more water than coffee beans. Very disappointed with the food.

Traci Luongo

fresh donuts and bread made daily, the wine is also amazing!!! service top notch - check them out!!!

Giuliano Golin

The outdoor patio has a view of the vineyards, local farmland, with picnic tables and access to bar. Great location and food.

Ravine spectacularly grasps "Niagara culture" at its finest! This place offers a colourful view of their beautiful vineyards. Great food, friendly service and a picture perfect atmosphere. Their live music/pizza oven nights are super fun as well.

T S

Beautiful food presentation and high quality ingredients. We loved everything about the place except for our server who was unfriendly and rather rude... manager stepped in and resolved the issue but still. That’s the reason for a 4-star review. I have no complaints about the food.

Shannon Pecora

Wonderful winery with beautiful views

Rik Smythe

Excellent meal, great service staff. Highly recommended!!

This used to be one of our favorite eateries in the Niagara area but has now become too expensive for very small portions of food. I ordered the partridge plate which came with bland lentils as a vegetable. The partridge was only one leg which came with the roasted claw still intact. It was very tasty but hardly any meat as they didn't even give you the breast nor the other half of the bird. My wife had the beef dish which was tough. We both had the black bean soup which was tasty. I had a 6 oz glass of wine and we finished with dessert and coffee.... mine was good but not my wife's. We paid $200 and don't consider it good value anymore for what you get. I think Ravines are more interested in making money than satisfying customers. I left hungry and went home and had a bowl of cereal. That said, staff are very friendly and remember your allergies from previous visits. Its a very popular place as it overlooks the vineyards on the St Davids bench. It is sometimes closed on weekends for big wedding reservations are advised. They have a glassed in restaurant, outdoor patio and wine bar. Next door in the old house they have a wine tasting bar and shop. It is surrounded by vineyards front and back....a beautiful setting. We like the environment but won't go back for a long time and only for a special occasion.

Matthew Nordemann-Keller
