Want amazing beer with an edge? Want you feel like you're a kid in a candy store? Look no further because this place is amazing. Friendly staff that will gladly show you the ropes. Every time i walk in they help me with anything to do with their beer. From food pairing to how they brewed the beer. The merchandise is to die for and if I ever have enough cash I'm getting the stainless steel growler(that's right, I said stainless steel growler) It's the best merch (and beer) I've seen in the Burlington-hamilton area.

They did some nice renovations that pull people in and create a friendly environment to mingle amoungst the drinkers. They always have some eclectic stouts on hand. More expensive than some breweries but it is backed up with flavor and innovation. A must try for all craft beer enthusiasts!

I absolutely love Nickel Brook beer. From their core line to their one offs I’m rarely disappointed and when I am it’s a “not my thing” scenario. I was lucky enough to marry the most wonderful woman on earth in May and my only real request (men have few in weddings) was that Nickel Brook beer be the only beer available at the open bar. I couldn’t imagine sharing anything else with the people I love. I have been fortunate enough to meet John and play a concert at his home. He is an amazing guy and it’s reflected through every part of his business. Nickel Brook is simply the best beer I’m aware of (and I try everything). So proud and fortunate to have it brewed so close to home.

Buying beer here isn't just supporting local, it's also really good craft beer. Usually has about 15 selections in can & bottle, and about 10 for growler fill. Go here for limited release beers, like the Bourbon barrel aged Kentucky Bastard, Cuvée, Immodest (DIPA) and Malevolent (black DIPA).

Friendly staff and good quality local beer. Been going to Nickelbrook for years and we used kegs from them for our end of summer Pig Roast parties for years. We ran out of CO2 for our keg one year later at night and John came and delivered swapped out the co2 tank even though he didn't have to do that. Have been a loyal customer ever since and keep going back for more. Some of their beers are quite "hoppy" but they have a ton of selection.

The worst beer I have ever tried. Nickel Brook was being served at the sound of music festival before the festival became popular enough to serve real beer. When I turned 19, I was so excited to be able to go to the music festival and actually get into the beer tent. I bought 4 drink tickets and went straight to get my first beer. It was a Nickel Brook and it was awful. But alas it was beer so I powered through it hoping that the next one would go down easier. I got my second beer and it was even worse. I threw my remaining drink tickets in the garbage. This happened around 2009 and I am still trying to get the bad taste out of my mouth. Hope this review can save at least one soul .

Love the location (off the beaten path but not by much) and their beers are good. It'll be a shame to see them move to St. Catharines due to fighting with Collective Arts, but I understand why. Their staff are, by far, the most knowledgeable and helpful, friendly, personable and unpretentious people I've met in craft brewing. They also don't force you to buy their glass when getting growlers filled. Great work!

Used a Groupon here and had a nice time. The brewery is small and the tour is informative and interesting. The workers are all knowledgeable and the decor is very nice. The beers are tasty and unique. You can really taste the craft freshness. They even give free samples for whatever you are interested in. Check out the Groupon if you're looking for a nice introduction to breweries! Will come back for sure!

Not only did the location just finish a fantastic looking renovation which expanded the inside quite a bit, refinished everything, it looks stellar. Very open and comfortable. Their Headstock IPA is one of my go to beers I stopped in at the brewery when I was in town and both the beer and service were great. Recently, I placed an online order with them but their courier (ICS) lost one of my packages. Nickel Brook was great and sent me a replacement when it looked like the original wasn't arriving. The original did arrive after a few weeks and the box was shredded and taped to hell. When I opened it, everything was banged up and several cans were missing. Everything was also covered in dry beer. ICS didn't mention the damage and just assumed I wouldn't notice missing cans. Nickel Brook = Great ICS = Garbage

My boyfriend and I try to visit local breweries wherever we travel. We happen to be in the area a lot because of family and Nickel Brook is in my top 3 for the area. They have a great selection of IPAs and Berliner Weisse's (a type of sour beer). Their Funk Lab series also promises to provide an interesting new sour every month. They actually have my favourite craft beer so far Uncertainty Principle, which is a barrel aged sour... unfortunately they didn't keg enough so it's only available in bottles. =( They just opened up a new tap room and I believe have plans to start serving food at some point. If you are ever in the area I definitely recommend checking out this brewery!

I bought a bottle of Nickel Brook Glory and Gold. I was really curious about it and was expecting something really good. I hate to say it, but this was the most terrible beer I have ever tasted. I couldn't drink it. One sip and I got an unpleasantly sweet tangy flavour that I can't describe. I do not recommend.

We were greeted by Dale, the owner of Better Bitters Brewing Co, who happily greeted us and led us in a round of Happy Birthday for my girlfriend! He then proceeded to go through their sampling chart, totally free of charge and even gave us extras of the ones we liked. Afterwards, he personally took us on a tour through the brewery. The quality of the beers, plus the hospitality of the staff (especially both the owners) was top notch and we definitely plan on going back.

I've been a big fan of their Naughty Neighbour, ESB and Headstock beers, but I was at a bar (brewhaha) in Toronto tonight enjoying some beers with a friend when some Nickel Brook employees started handing out free samples for an event. We thought this was pretty awesome until it turned out to be an event for the Conservative Party. I didn't realize they were contributing to political causes like this and it made us extremely uncomfortable. We left in a hurry and made a point not to give any of our money to a brewery that supports events like this.

I love Nickel Brook. Always feel welcome when walking in for a flight or to pick up a growler. Great prices and awesome beer. The sours are some of the best I've had. And ordering online is so easy. Today i picked up my pre-ordered Plum Uber and a beer glass. It was ready for the pickup time I set up in advance. And it was all labeled with my name. Can't wait for their renovation to be complete!
