This was kind of a spur of the moment stop for us when we were bored one day. A little research later, and we stumbled upon Kacaba Vineyards. Their wine is good, and they’ve got the medals to prove it. While none of their wines quite managed to crack my all-time favorites list, I did enjoy everything I tasted. The closest to doing it was the Terraced Vineyard Syrah, which had dark fruit notes and surprisingly, pie crust. I could see this as an absolutely ideal autumn wine, and it hit the spot for me. I will say that this was VERY close to going in my favorites – unfortunately, I can’t get it all the way down here in New Jersey. My girlfriend enjoyed the Pinot Gris so much that we snagged a bottle to take home. Perhaps the defining factor of Kacaba Vineyards, and what I think warrants five stars, is the knowledge shown by the gentleman who did our tasting for us. I learned so much about the effect that the Niagara Escarpment has on wines, why their wines taste the way they do, what areas of the vineyard their roots are, and even about wine in general. It was like a mini wine class, and we very much appreciated it. Five stars!

My parents introduced me to this winery and it is by far the best winery I’ve been to ! The staff especially Andy & David are very knowledgeable about wine and are able to answer any question you might have in regards to paring, the aging process of the wine, how the wine varied year to year etc This winery is so welcoming ! On special event days they have pairings with the wines which really knock it out of the ball park. My personal favourite was the grilled cheese with beets. But honestly if you are looking for a winery where they will take the time to help you find a wine you like this is the place to go. 10/10 !!!

We were there for the ice wine festival and we had a FANTASTIC little pairing of a pork taco and ice wine. Very well priced tastings (beyond the ice wine festival). Downside: Signage is a little weird with a twisty driveway road to get in. Almost over-helpful staff. One of the white wines I tasted was not chilled.

I received excellent service for wine tasting. The approach was professional and relaxed and there was a positive focus on the importance of safe driving (there was an "spit bucket" available and I am pleased I was encouraged to use it). Wines prices are mostly between $17-40/bottle. I found new exciting tastes I wasn't expecting. I will very likely be back and order online.

Regardless of how busy the folks at Kacaba are, they always found time to make our group feel welcome. It is a tiny, funky, friendly winery who are very proud of their wines. Their 2011 and 2012 Rieslings are so good that we bought cases even before they were bottled. Nice folks, a cute winery and really good wines. What more could you ask for in Niagara? It is worth the visit.

Kacaba winery a few years back was a nice little jewel among the other Niagara big label wineries. The wine today is not as great and the prices are a lot higher - I get that winery expansions need to be paid for somehow but in Ontario we have access to great local wines, as well as world class ones and I’m not sure we’ll buying as often as we once did.

Overall, we had a good experience. We were able to sample multiple wines and enjoy a glass with our picnic lunch on the patio area. Tasting area was very tight and got crowded easily, but currently they are renovating to expand.

All the staff including Dave Servos and Vadeem are quite personable and knowledgeable. Kacaba produces some of the finest red wines in Canada. Love the Cabernet Franc and their ice wines are 2nd to none. We have recently tried the Pinot Gris and it too does not disappoint. Looking forward to the extension completion. One of the great features of this winery is that you can bring your bbq and cook it on there fabulous grills while being served exquisite wines. Have visited many times over the years and is a must stop with all our out of town visitors.

It's amazing how much he knows about each of the wines and he was extremely helpful without being pushy. I was planning to just pick up a couple of bottles, but we had such a wonderful experience and enjoyed the individual wines we tried so much that we picked up six! I'd recommend their 2015 Meritage Reserve and if you like ice wines, their 2016 Gewurtztramminer is a tasty alternative to the usual Vidal or Cabernet Franc ones.

(Translated) The team was kind and welcoming but the wine tasteless. Especially the red which was particularly too acidic with an equally acidic price. The place was too small inside for tasting and outside all sunny which is horrible in temperatures approaching 35 degrees. The winery is aptly named. (Original) L'equipe etait gentille et accueillante mais le vin insipide. Surtout le rouge qui était particulierement trop acide avec un prix tout aussi acide. Le lieu était trop petit à l'intérieur pour la dégustation et à l'extérieur tout ensoleillé ce qui est horrible dans des températures frôlant les 35 degrés. Le winery porte bien son nom.

Don't miss their 2019 Riesling and the 2019 Cabernet Franc which are great wines for now, or will age well for a couple years.
