Was totally not made aware of the restaurants decision to not follow mask or vaccine mandates while booking online or confirming the reservation on the phone, I understand human rights and if they choose to operate in this manner than they can do so but people should be made aware of what they will face once they come to the restaurant. The two courses we did try really wasn’t anything to write home about either, the pasta momento was a big letdown (bland with no garnish) and something anyone can cook at home as evidenced by the photo below What was mind blowing and not worth arguing about was that we were also charged $7! for “sparkling” water which we were told apparently every restaurant does (absolutely not true) Edit: As per owner my taste palate is too primitive to appreciative what simply put is pasta. Please do not support businesses such as this who not only do not care for the safety of customers or staff but also cannot face simple criticism for their menu and become better from it

Zero staff wearing masks. Zero vaccination verification. We had no idea. I hadn’t read the reviews that gave a heads up about this - wish I would have seen them sooner. When I asked my waitress about it, she’s didn’t say they were exempt. She said: “it’s the owner’s decision to proceed this way, without masks” and that it’s “the staffs’ personal decisions not wear masks”. “The owner’s waiting for his court date”. I’m surprised they’re still allowed to operate and haven’t been shut down.

First off, anyone giving this spot less than 4.5 stars is either out to lunch or just looking to bring down a small business during their hardest 2 year run in history. I’m a big “get what you pay for” person and man, I felt like we got more than what we paid for. The food was amazing and probably had the best pasta I have ever had. Everything else was great and I had no remorse over our bill. Service and atmosphere was also outstanding, it felt like we were DT Toronto and not just in Burly. We will absolutely be back! Thank you ELeVATOR Bistro for the fantastic evening.

Celebrated my birthday with a group of friends at ELeVATOR Bistro this past Thursday. I cannot say enough good things about the entirety of this establishment. Every staff member we encountered was absolutely wonderful and made this dining experience unforgettable. The waiters are kind, helpful and attentive. Our waiter didn't mind answering dozens of questions about the menu from our large group and their Spanish pastry chef is one of the sweetest women I have ever met. They go above and beyond to make your dining experience memorable. The food was also incredible. Amongst our group we tried 4 of the pizzas, the lamb, the fish, a potato appetizer, a charcuterie appetizer and quite a few of the delicious cocktails! My understanding is aside from the pizzas, the menu is subject to change on a weekly basis. I'm already excited to go back and try something new. 5 stars!

In times like these, I don't want my rating to deter people from visiting a local upscale restaurant... So I'm giving this establishment an overall 4-star rating due lovely ambience, professional and friendly service, tasty drinks, and very good pizza. But I do want to be honest with my review so that the owner can consider making some improvements on their main dishes. We ordered a pizza as an appetizer, after the waiter noted that the mains were on the "small" size. The duck. Perfectly done... all two pieces of it. For over $30, you get 2-3 ozs of duck in a tasty chili reduction sauce; but unfortunately the sauce overpowered the meat. We asked the waiter if it came with sides and he enthusiastically said yes! To our dismay, we received HALF of a baby parsnip. The spotted cod was the size of a domino piece, but square in shape. For $37, you get ONE small piece of roasted sweet potato complementing the fish. The cod was tender and well done, but the presentation and value was lacking. I think the best value is their pizzas and their drinks. Great date night idea. Would we return? Most likely for a pizza and wine date.

Strange bad odor in the restaurant distracted me from my meal. Not sure if something was burnt in the kitchen. Food was okay but my expectations were not met, decor looks like a college student's basement. It seems the mgmt only hires individuals with medical exceptions to mask wearing, that's nice of them I guess. I came here to eat without a mask anyways but would prefer my food not to be breathed on. Prepare for an ELeVATOR ride into your wallet. Edit: being accused of lying now for not liking the restaurant, reservations weren't made under my name

I absolutely love this restaurant. The restaurant design is on point. It brings the perfect mix of European flair (Sardinian pizzaiolo) and Canadian warmth. Staff is incredibly well trained and knowledgeable on their menu. My favorite part about this restaurant is their attention to detail. The handsoap in the bathroom is SO good- it has an exfoliator in it. I can't wait to go back and try another pizza topped off with an aperitivo nonino.

I just had the best dinner and most amazing night out eating at Elevator Bistro. I highly recommend this place. Firstly, the atmosphere created by the staff was so welcoming. I loved how they all worked as a team and were so attentive of the little details for the duration of our dinner. You can see most of their prep and cooking stations and they are immaculately clean. Plus, they make so much from scratch and take pride in the quality of their product. I also really appreciate their changing menu that respects seasonal and locally available products, as well as organic ingredients. The menu is small but mighty. I prefer a restaurant that keeps a concise menu and just excels at what they create. Each dish that we ordered was incredible. AND, the desserts were amazing. I had a tart created from a root vegetable (turnip? I cannot remember) with a SunChoke caramel. I didn't realize you could make caramel from sunchokes!!! It was the perfect balance of sweet and rich with a hint of savoury. It was incredible. Half way through our dinner we were already discussing when we will return next. We will be back for sure.

I've been to ELeVATOR several times and with each experience I have been more than impressed. From staff, to the food and drinks .... This is a 10/10 ! This is a must for anyone wanting to experience a different type of dining experience in Downtown Burlington. Burlington needed a spot like this !! Can't wait to come back.

What a lovely experience! Staff are so friendly and atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. I went with my Dad and 2 sons to try their pizza. We're Italian so we're quite discerning about food, lol! We were impressed with the thin crust and good quality toppings. Pizzas were served nice and hot fresh out of the oven. Can't wait to return!

Not adhering to pandemic policies and protocols. Any negative comments in otherwise positive reviews are responded to with snarky 'You don't know what you're talking about' comments by the owner/management. If they don't care about the safety of the public or their employees, it makes one wonder how much they care about the safety of their food. Steer clear and consider supporting a company that takes this pandemic, and their customers, seriously. Edit for the owner/manager: If you claim my statements are false can you please verify that you are, in fact, adhering to covid protocols and procedures (ie social distancing, wearing masks, hand sanitizer available, etc etc)? If your concern is for the safety of your patrons and staff then that should be an easy thing to verify publicly here for everyone to view. If your only response to any criticism is to accuse slander and respond in the snarky manner as was referred to in my original review then I don't understand how you ever hope to grow and improve upon yourself. We all carry the responsibility to make this pandemic go away and if a restaurant is working against that goal then it is the responsibility of those who are able to, to make that reluctance be known to the public and any future potential patrons.

Looking for a place of taste rather then portion then Elevator is the place to go. I am glad Burlington now has a new stylish restaurant. The patio atmosphere is like a little oasis as well as the interior decor. If you have time check out this new gem hurry up you wouldn’t be disappointed.

New restaurant just opened a month or so ago. Been there twice and I must say this is unique not just for Burlington but for the GTA as a whole. Three youthful cooks who obviously have the talent to deliver the goods with no hesitation, nor ego along with the two pizzaiolo's in front of the wood fired pizza oven. Elevator is not just about fantastic pizza, its innovative approach to dining from an ever changing menu is ahead if its time and definitely worth enjoying.

The food was really uneven in quality. My wife and I ordered a couple of small plates to start l, and then shared a pizza. I also had some interesting Japanese beers that were quite good. I found it strange that none of the staff wore masks, inside or out. The $6 bread was really good, with a nice creamy ricotta and honey. The $24 bluefin tartare, although very instagramable was terrible. Stale cracker, flavorless egg emulsion and the fish itself reminded us of the little plastic packs of sardine paste you sometimes get with bread on Europe. It was not recognizable as tuna, sine it was shredded and covered on a sauce. The pizza was pretty good, nice crust and good toppings. A good variety as well. Clearly this is the strength of the menu. If you do go here, stick with this. Service was also terrible, we never got to finish the sparkling water we purchased, because they didn't leave it on the table. I assumed they would refill, they did not. Eventually I forgot about it. It took me 15 minutes to get someone's attention to order a second beer, and that person was not our server. He hardly ever came back. After we asked for our bill, it took about 20 minutes to actually get it.

Wonderful dining experience. Brian the owner and our waiter were extremely engaging. The food was beyond delicious. I have never had better truffle gnocchi in my life. Pizza was almost melt in your mouth. Very unique atmosphere and wonderful fusion of flavours. Highly recommend the seafood and Rapini also. Burlington’s newest hotspot!

The pastries were delicious, and I appreciate the hard work of the staff. However, as a patron of your bistro, I was disappointed to see zero information pertaining to the current global pandemic. Upon arrival, there was no signage, no soap/ water or hand sanitizer available, and no social distancing in effect. Agreeably, working in any restaurant/ establishment is going through unprecedented times, but as an establishment serving members of society - it is your responsibility to do your part to keep your patrons safe. Just picked up pastry box. No face masks on any staff, limited to no social distancing. No hand sanitizer in sight. I asked about the face masks and they said not required for staff. It was a very surreal and uncomfortable. Will not be back until attitudes and actions change.

This place is amazing! I visited Elevator a week ago for a second time and I have great experience. Pizzas were delicious. Place looks nice and very clean. Personal is very knowledgeable and professional. Among all restaurants in Burlington that I visited this is the best one!

Dined on the patio and ordered from the Summer patio menu. Mains varied from $22 for pizza to $67 for a very small ribeye steak. Variety of appetizers. Interesting cheese platter. Prepared foods ok Desert was a choice of 2 items. Perhaps the indoor menu is larger. Large wine and beverage menu. Service was slow but staff are knowledgable. Covid makes it difficult to properly evaluate a restaurant. Will eat inside next time.

The customer facing positive culture seems to be bred into every staff member of the restaurant. They are all passionate about food and the presentation reflects that.........menu fare that takes days not hours or minutes to prepare and the plating reflects that reality. The quality of each and every course with the server narrative makes for a great culinary experience. Somehow they even make the "pandemic" disappear for the time you are on the patio. We are looking forward to the day we can enjoy the full potential from an expanded menu. We should mention that we had a scrumptious starter bread that I can't remember the name of with a highly customized spread that I couldn't remember the name of that was out of this world. This is a worthwhile experience for anyone who wants to escape the realities of these times with folks who really care about the art and craft of great food preparation. Well done to the entire team.......we will be back!!!!!

Elevator is by far the best restaurant in the area. Brian has hired the best of the best. The food is out of this world and the menu is always changing. To people who are complaining about the price of sparking water…. I recommend trying Kelseys or Boston pizza as this may be more suitable for your budget. Elevator provides a premium experience and they charge accordingly.

Excellent... Best pizza in the area... sourdough pizza dough made using 20+ years starter, nice wine selection and the service was great. Will definitely be back... my pictures don’t do it justice. The pizzas were excellent. Had the Roma and my wife had the L’Inferno... both were just awesome. Also had a bite of in-house made ice cream.

The food is flavor-forward, and the dishes are built upon a foundation of carefully sourced, best-in-class ingredients. I cannot recommend this place enough. We came with a party of 5 and had an incredible time. The food was delicious, including honey combs from the owners farm, a lovely selection of cheese, tomatoes that were grown in the owners personal garden made the pasta extra delicious. Pizza was to die for! Beautiful flavors with every mouthful. We each had cocktails which were delicious as well & created from all over the world! The staff were lovely and very attentive. Cozy atmosphere & perfect for a first date! 10/10, will be back again for sure! A hidden gem!

Amazing food, great service, & beautiful atmosphere. I had to love this place, as soon as I entered. The place even took care of small details that includes my favourite cutlery. The menu was simple and focused. It changes periodically, that gives me a reason to visit the place again. Food was amazing. Each ingredient showed its distinct flavour, and yet mixed in balance. They were lightly seasoned and tasted healthy. Moreover, they were beautifully presented. Portions were small but it was okay to me, as I got to try multiple dish without being too full. Lastly, I want to thank to great service which made my experience complete. I can't wait to visit this place again to try different flavour.

Fun place, service was amazing, beautiful decor, very creative dishes. But the food requires more taste/depth. The bread du moment reminded me of the bread wafers in church, dry and tasteless. Potato appetizers didn't have much taste and there is much better pizza down the street. Fish dish was very tasty. We might give it another try down the road.
