I visited Angels Gate this past weekend for my mother's 65th birthday. The woman who took our reservation for the tasting not only greeted us outside but had a chalkboard up wishing my Mom a happy birthday. The gentleman who guided our tasting, David, was phenomenal! He was so well educated and answered all our silly questions. After the tasting we enjoyed some DELICIOUS pizzas and flatbreads. Not to mention the wine is amazing as well. We can't wait to go back.

Friendly and kind staff with great thin crust pizza. We were a group of 6 including our little dog and a toddler and the restaurant accommodated all of us on the patio and then in the dining room once it started raining. Thanks for a great afternoon!

The location is wonderful and the wines are fine. Service for lunch was good, but the food was subpar. We had the platter for 2, and a sliced potato with cheddar cheese and corn was below pub quality. The sliders had store bought buns and was dry and underseasonsed. The green beans were tossed in a off putting white sauce and the use of beefsteak tomatoes was odd, and not tasty. How hard is it to get heirloom tomatoes, make your own ingredients when you are on a lovely property? The food is a misfire for an otherwise nice winery.

Beautiful winery, love the entrance and the set-up with Covid measures in place. We went mid-september and the weather was beautiful for a tasting at the outside bar/pizza area. Too bad there wasn't pizza but the tasting was enjoyable with such a nice view. The staff was knowledgable, wish I remembered the name of the gentleman who served us (was sept 12th in the afternoon). Thank you, we enjoyed your tasting a lot

This is a beautiful winery full of amazing bottles of wine! Our hostess was Jada and her knowledge of the wines we tried were phenomenal! We ended up purchasing a case of assorted wines that we fell in love with. We can’t wait to come back again. Go here if you get a chance!

Tasting menu limited and not enough for sharing. Purchased made for 50$ and the tasting fees were not waived.... left feeling a little insulted. Its a shame because the estate is quite beautiful but so are so many others in the region.

Absolutely loved Angels Gate. The wine tasting experience was terrific and we did the tasting while outside on the patio with a stunning view of the vineyards and Lake Ontario in the background. Angels Gate now has gourmet thin crust pizzas cooked outside in a wood fired oven. The lobster and asparagus pizza was fantastic!

This place was absolutely gorgeous, the staff was so super and so friendly. The knowledge of the Staff and the time that they took to talk to the group of us and explain the whole process of the wine making and right down to the different in the hours each vine received each day in the sunshine will effect the sugars or lack of sugars in the grapes. It was the best place to learn how to understand the wine making process and how the weather and everything down to the soul counts for the taste of each wine. Definitely will return.

On August 5th, 2020, we enjoyed a wonderful, personal wine tasting experience. Despite Covid restrictions, Angel's Gate offered a detailed, informative tasting which exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend including a stop at Angel's Gate, if you're visiting any wineries this year!

Rather off putting experience to say the least. My friend and I were enjoying a lovely day out. Walking into this winery the scenery was absolutely beautiful while entering the main room we were greeted right away, they were a bit busy but with only 2 staff so we decided to just browse and wait for a spot to open, while waiting I noticed the man roughly in his early 40’s appear to keep adjusting a "itch" in his lower area while continuing to serve the guests and grabbing glasses!! “now” deciding to just grab a bottle to go, as I am allergic to nuts! eventually that gentleman was available and introduced himself asked if we needed any assistance or if we would like to have a tasting today kindly, We declined and I could not believe I witnessed yet again another couple scratches and adjustments he then insisted we tried some of the “delicious” wood oven pizzas, Which I’m sure are quite wonderful but on this day the wine was only to go!! 3 stars for the 3 Pointers “D” was shooting, I think the ref missed a possible traveling call.

We planned to have lunch at the restaurant there. And was turned away because they can only accommodate 3 tables and it's reservations only. None of it is stated on their website at the time. It was rather off putting. We left without even trying any wine.

I am not one to typically want to write a review on a negative experience for myself, but when it involves my own client and other guests I will share my experience. I brought a long time client on Canadas day for lunch on the terrace. Everything started fine our server Alecs was quick to sit us take our drink order and bring it back when we were not ready to place our food order yet it seemed as an inconvenience and walked away, my client immediately brought up as if we were a bother now to top this off the wine we received was very warm, and with minutes passing and our server not even outside a gentleman behind cooking the pizzas came over and asked if there was anything he could grab for us we explained the wine was warm and without hesitation it was replaced in cold glasses and brought over ice water as well, He apologized for the situation and even offered to take our orders but we sarcastically mentioned we would just enjoy our glasses of wine now and wait for our waiter to come around. Once our food order was place it was brought to our table quickly but from another waitress, I had to get up and grab cutlery and more napkins as our server never came to check in on us. Now to end off our experience we witnessed an older women from who Ron inside told us was the hospitality member verbally yell at a customer over a glass from inside being brought outside apparently for it being non stemless, It was an embarrassing experience and with the service we received and outrage from a manager on a customer it’s safe to say I likely will not be back. And It’s a shame the food was wonderful but how a couple bad apples can ruin a great time.

Absolutely terrible service to my husband & I by tall blonde staff member. It was my sister’s birthday celebrarion & we traveled hours to visit after great reviews from our mom and dad. Well safe to say we will NEVER return including our parents who have bought many bottles from there. Even other customers who witnessed the disrespect told us they won’t be returning or purchasing wine. Good thing all the other wineries that day were excellent! Your staff need to be trained how to RESPECT ALL CUSTOMERS.

What can say about my lunch and visit to Angels Gate Winery other than SPECTACULAR!! The views from the upper terrace where we had lunch were magnificent. The pizza and wine were delightful and service could not be better. Special thanks to Ron Ardito for providing us with beautiful wine to sample, and the selections we purchased did not disappoint when enjoyed that weekend. Ron's sunny disposition and welcoming personality made the entire experience one we hope to repeat next summer. I highly recommend Angels Gate Winery, for their wine, their service; their setting amoungst gorgeous vineyards, as well as the gracious ambiance. A winner all around and worth a visit to anyone wishing to enjoy Niagara's best! Thank you once again Ron for your gracious hospitality and making our luncheon outing a memorable one.

Came here for a quick stop for a flight of wine. Great landscape and setting, pretty inside, good service. Purchased some of their dressings and marmalades and can't wait to try them :) They offer woodoven pizza outside of covid times

Venue is lovely. Service was terrible as they forgot about us. I asked if they had apple juice for my daughter, waitress said no, I said fine she won’t have anything. Waitress turns up with a splash of orange san pellegrino in a glass saying she found this for her (my daughter). I thought ok.... well the bill had $2.50 for that which made me chuckle. We also ordered a $20 personal pizza which was a spinach and leak pizza with sun dried tomatoes. It was a green base sauce which was presumably the spinach and leek, a scraping of cheese and some large slices of fresh cut tomato. Honestly, the whole experience was a bit of a joke. The 5oz glass of revenge white wine for $8 wasn’t bad.

First visited Angels Gate Winery 10+ years ago and decided to try it again. Easton was fabulous, knowledgeable and patient with our questions. The rain stopped just in time for us to experience the tasting outside and enjoy the view. Visited 5 places but this was voted the best wine. (informal poll of 4 ) Won't stay away so long this time!

We have had great tasting experiences at this winery in the past - it’s a beautiful location with a nice tasting room. The service however is fairly terrible which is not what you’d expect from a smaller type winery in the Beamsville area. We arrived at 4:50 on a Saturday (they closed at 5) only to be greeted by a rude woman who held the door open before we were at it shouting “Hurry up! We close soon!” before crassly telling us they stopped tastings 5 minutes earlier. Luckily we knew what wine we wanted and were too overwhelmed by her rudeness to react properly. Sadly we will not be back to this winery we have loved in the past. Being treated like an inconvenience by an employee with zero tact is unacceptable.

Great Winery! The sparkling wines are especially a notable mention! Loved it. Highly recommend them! If you would like to do a tasting, book ahead online. Otherwise, you can only buy the wine by glass. We didn't book ahead and did wine by the glass. Definitely looking forward to visiting again!

What a beautiful winery. It looks like a great place for pics for a wedding. I was the designated driver for a group of friends on a wine festival tour. We passed by and had to stop in. The owners were very friendly and eager to share their wares. For a non drinker like myself I was made to feel very welcome too. I get to sniff the glasses and I must admit the 2011 Snow Angel Riesling Icewine was very fragrant and sweet smelling. I got to sniff a number of ice wines over the weekend and this one gets " The Golden Inhale". Well done.

For such a young person, he is very knowledgeable about the different wines and their tastes. He was very professional and we enjoyed the visit. They have some nice wines here, some were better than others, but depends on what you like. Have a good selection of wines from different vintages, they are all unique. The wines here are worth checking out and the view is amazing. Staff are friendly, but reserved and enjoy the slower pace that this Winery sees

Had the most wonderful lady serving us. I forget her name, older, short hair and glasses. She had been making pizzas earlier. She was so personable and funny. Made the experience wonderful and helped us purchase several bottles of delicious wines.
