let me just say Wow! If you are looking for small winery that caters to personal experience, look no further! It’s amazing we had the opportunity to be served by the owner himself. I am usually not a red wine drinker, but Alvento has a wide range of selection, and i was able to find my red wine. What an experience. We will definitely be back!

Had a lovely tasting at Alvento! Delicious wines, knowledgeable staff and a beautiful interior. My only wish is that they included samples from their $20 range wines (the 'Wind' wines) on their tasting menu. The wines on the tasting menu were all in the $30-$50 range, which is a little steep for my budget. The staff member working was lovely and did pour us a sample of the Wind rose, but it would have been great to try the whites from that collection as well.

After a deep slumber, Alvento Winery has finally reopened and offering its rare premium reds - It's 2007, 2008 and 2012 VQA Nebbiolo being the most noticeable among them. Integrating the rustic and contemporary style, the brand new live-edge ash wood bar counter and wine cabinet breathe life into its authentic 19th century wine boutique. I am absolutely looking forward to see their new vintages coming out spring 2019, which focusing more on the notation of aromatics.

Awesome place! Def one of my favourite wineries to visit. The owner and staff are great and very passionate about their products. Always giving great advice on wines and with so many different wines to choose from its awesome to hear recommendations from people who know their craft. The winery is a great site too. Def worth checking out any time of year! Highly recommended!

Visiting Alvento Winery was such a pleasure. Each wine is unique, refreshing, and delivers complex yet subtle flavours. I highly recommend trying to Nebbiolo, the Cabernet Sauvignon, or the Merlot. The experience is not complete without a visit to the bed and breakfast that is directly on the property. The experience is second to none!

My group of 10 had the chance to stay the weekend at the winery's villa (available for rent on Airbnb), and we all loved it! The villa is spacious and very comfortable, and the winery itself is picturesque and reminiscent of simple, old world vineyards. Danny and his crew generously offered my entire group a complimentary tasting, a gesture that was very much appreciated.

This was the last stop on a wine tour that myself and my boyfriend did for our anniversary this year. This was the best tour we went on the whole day. Danny (the owners son) was WONDERFUL, extremely knowledgable, talkative, attentive, funny, etc. Plus... the interior of the building was beautiful, with exposed beams and all. And of course the wine happens to be delicious.

We stayed here during the twenty valley winefest the location was accessible and the place was beautiful and the host was very welcoming. He answered all our questions and concerns right away. I highly recommend this place. Make sure you check out the wine boutique they have great wine. I particularly love the reisling and icewines. We’re definitely coming back and will recommend to all our friends and family.

The last Friday I had my first wine tasting in your Winery, I have to let you know that was one of the best experiences I have ever had. You might think that it was because of the taste, quality and variety of wines that I had, but the real wine experience was given by our hostess, unfortunately I can not remember her name. Around 10:00 am my friend and myself arrived to Alvento Winery, a young lady welcomed us, it was a delightful experience, she is very knowledge about the background, history and process of the wine. She told us about the history of the wineries of Niagara, prohibition era, regulations, kind of soils, geographical requirements and locations. It was a pleasure to meet such a passionate human being! We visited other 2 wineries that day, and the experience was good but incomparable with Alvento Hostess. Congratulations to our Hostess!

Alvento Winery is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is surreal and the artwork is unique. You can tell they have put a lot of thought and care into their wines and the experience. Danny, was cheery and professional. We felt very safe and had a great time. I'd highly recommend sitting in the garden. We will be back soon!

Great little winery with an awesome BnB. Provides easy access to the rest of some of the smaller and crafty wineries in the region.

I came into the winery today to try all the new wines. My wife and I loved all the wines and Tara was so fantastic, she was kind and knew a lot about the wines and the winery itself. We can;t wait to come try all the other wines that will be released this year

Recently reopened after a long hiatus. Focusing on older red vintages while new wines are being made. Nebbiolo, the grape of Barolo, is a prime focus here. Offerings from 2007, 2008, and 2012 were available, along with some Bordeaux varietals. A very pleasant young gentleman named Nick guided me through the Nebbiolos and a couple of other wines while filling me in on the details. The interior has been beautifully done with wood and stone. Price range is from the mid $20s to just under $60. Though slightly removed from the areas most wineries are located, it is well worth the visit to see an exciting new chapter in Niagara wines.

My friends and I were fortunate to attend the Twenty Valley Wine Festival this past weekend. We were hosted by Danny at the Alvento Winery, which in our opinion was one of the finest in the region. As a bonus, we stayed at the luxurious Alvento Winery Airbnb. The Airbnb had exceeded all our expectations. It's luxurious and beautiful in every sense and clean. We truly enjoyed our experience tasting the vast variety of wines offered by Alvento. We were guided through the selection of wines with knowledge and professionalism. Each wine offered a unique essence and aromatic experience. I would highly recommend all wine lovers to make a stop at Alvento.

First time visiting this winery. Tried some great reds and a wonderful in-progress riesling as well. Side note: the B&B is beautiful - great place to stay so you can explore more of the Niagara region!

(Translated) It was wonderful this day. (Original) Estuvo de maravilla este día.

An hour's drive outside of Toronto, Alvento Winery is worth the short trip. Aside from a good selection of wines, they also have a team of friendly connoisseurs who will guide you through the wine sampling experience. Alvento has a beautiful, shiny home that welcomes travellers, honeymooners, and staycationers for very reasonable prices. I know the beds are comfortable, but I have yet to try the breakfast.

Went here for a formal event. Beautiful place.

We visited for the Christmas open house, and had a wonderful time. The interior is beautiful and Danny and his staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about the product they are serving. They have a wonderful dark red Cabernet, and Danny can whip up a wonderful mulled wine that is great on a cold day. I will definitely be back to try the B&B!

Of the wineries we visited, Alvento was my favorite. The location was spectacular and utterly peaceful. The wine list was extensive and the breakdown between the two tasting lists made perfect sense. The lady helping us was kind and engaging. This was a wonderful experience and beautiful location.

My mother and I went wine tasting and we started at Alvento. We weren’t familiar with the winery, but after our tasting I know I’ll be recommending this winery to everyone I know. My mother is not a wine drinker but she adored every wine she tasted. The employee who served us was outstanding! He truly knew what he was talking about. The story about the winery and the wines themselves are amazing. I highly recommend the 2018 Zephyr, I have never had anything like it before. The wine truly speaks for itself and it’s some of the best wine I’ve had in awhile. I’d recommend supporting this smaller winery, it has so much to offer. I promise you will not be disappointed. After we went to another winery and I was completely disappointed, Alvento set the bar so high for us. 10/10 I would drink again at Alvento!

My GF and I were planning a tasting day and looked at wineries that we haven't visited. We came across Alvento and noticed their 4.9⭐ review. We decided this could be a hidden gem. Well, this place is definitely a hidden gem. It honestly produces some of the best wines this region has to offer. The Austero Merlot is fabulous. I've tried many Merlots and I'm not a fan of Merlot. This is by far the best Merlot I've ever had. Had to buy a bottle to cellar. My GF tried the 2018 Sparkling Rose and after the first sip she immediately said she had to buy a bottle, messaged her friend and bought a bottle for her as well. As we were tasting we met the owner and chatted up a storm with him. He told us his background story and its wonderful. His customer service skills are great. He knows how to talk to people and knows how to treat people. If I could give more than 5⭐ I would. Will return to this winery many times in the future. Hands down one of the best little vineyards around.

Amazing winery that is currently sampling and selling wines from their library vintages(2007 and 2012!!). Great staff and friendly management. There is also a gorgeous B&B on the property. They told me there will be new wines available in spring of 2019. What a great experience!
