A beautiful, modern winery with a delicious, affordable restaurant
Very nice vineyard grounds. They have a lot of outdoor sculptures, which is good for outdoor covid protocols. The store was open, but limited to 8 customers so check google maps to see how busy they are. Lots of selection for wine and food + bakery sweets.
The 13th Street Winery attracts me because of its art gallery. I bought two wine and will taste later. The winery who has art vibe should be able to make nice wine :-)
Fine wines, great bakery with some of Ontario's best butter tarts and a distinctive outdoor art gallery
Such a beautiful winery! Adam was our server and he did a spectacular job. Answered all of our questions and was just really nice to chat with! Thank you Adam!!
Recently dropped in on 13th Street Winery and Doug Whitty (and his newest best friend, Fred) for a wonderful tasting and eating experience. Thoroughly impressed with their wines especially the traditional method sparkling wines and 2015 Viognier. Very knowledge and personable wine tasting room staff. Also the bakery and store was a special treat with the most delicious butter tarts I have ever eaten. They were so good that my wife who is not all that much of a buttertart fan, made me go back in and purchase some more, so she could have a second! We will certainly drop in again, maybe tomorrow!
Excellent wine in a unique setting. A tent and grill as well as a great bakery are on site. The butter pecan tarts are incredible.
Absolutely amazing wine, food, and bakery! Beautiful views and great prices. Be sure to check this place out.
Absolutely beautiful setting. Wine and Avella’s Woodfire Pizza was amazing. Ended up ordering a 2nd pizza to go because it was just that good. Bakery and shop was filled with yummy treats and beautiful home decor. Looking forward to our next visit.
A must try.... Attended a private event and was very impressed by the staff, grounds, wine and of course the butter tarts. I highly recommend stopping in or booking an event here.
Great baked goods and the selection of reds are my personal favorite. Highly reccomend stopping for both !
Stunning
The wines a great drinkable wines, the burger blends are all great examples. The vin gris and grand cuvée also hold their own. Lots of tasting space. The grounds are beautiful to walk around in with its large art sculpture garden. Then there's the bakery, that alone is reason enough to visit. Best butter tarts in Canada isnt an exaggeration, the cherry tarts and pies are also fantastic.
The Best baked goods in Niagara. Tart pies at affordable prices.$$
Gorgeous winery. We come here for the tarts though! They have done so much work to improve the space over the last few years, and it shows. Can't speak to the wine, but the desserts are wonderful.
(Translated) Very nice place, very good wine! (Original) Très bel endroit, très bon vin!
We made the mistake of making 13th Street our first stop on our tour. No other winery compared to it!!! It's beautiful. The wine is great. Has a great bakery. What more can you ask for?!
A very pleasant experience for a mid-week, late-summer afternoon stop! Large, well-kept grounds with lots of outdoor seating. Ordered our salad/sandwich lunches from the outdoor bistro and, while waiting for it to be ready, took at seat at the outdoor patio for a reasonably-priced tasting. The server was handling quite a few tables at the same time, however, he was very friendly and very good about explaining the wines and staged the tasting experience well. Lunch was quite good & fresh - while not inexpensive (though seemed to be in line with other places in the area)!- and it was a really pleasant time just relaxing outside in the fresh air with our wine and lunch. We stopped in at the store before leaving to purchase a bottle and some butter tarts to go - and yes, the butter tarts (which we ate later in our hotel room) were very, very good! I won't rate the wines because I'm not much of a connoisseur, but I did quite like the Premier Cuvée tasted as part of the flight. Enjoyable experience.
Love the wine, the grounds are dog friendly, the art is cool too. Great places to stop.
Love the wine, the grounds are dog friendly, the art is cool too. Great places to stop.
Highly recommend, good wine, great scenery and amazing people!!
Delightful experience . The wine tasting, art displays , butter tarts and other bakings were divine. A perfect way to spend the day!
Good bakery, especially after renovation and reopening this May (2019)
13th Street winery is a lovely place to visit for a day trip. They produce a wide array of great wines, but they also have an amazing selection of baked goods, prepared foods, and gifts. They are well known for their buttertarts, which is what drew us in so we could include them in our #buttertartquest. They have many amazing sculptures in the yards which are grear for photo ops for your instagram. @rogue_trippers This is such an amazing place you will want to visit if you are wine lover, or if you love baked goods.
We visited as a work group. Had a great experience, friendly and courteous staff.
Always a joy to stop in at 13th Street Winery to see what's in store!
Stopped by the bistro for lunch. Staff was lovely, food was delicious and the wine is great.
Always a great experience here! Some fantastic wines, knowledgeable staff and the gardens and deck are lovely. They have a food and wine pairing event that sounds like fun. Can't wait to see the new building when it's done!
Unique experience with a modern space and bakery and store.
Always great staff, beautiful inside and out.
Beautiful venue, great wine and excellent customer service! Plus amazing butter tarts - make sure to check out the shop while you’re there. Looking forward to the next wine club shipment!
Wonderful wine tasting event! Wonderful wines! Extremely enjoyable property to spent an afternoon or evening....and then there is those fabulous butter tarts!
Very friendly staff, really good wine, and cheese, and bread, and everything
This winery has the best bake shop. The butter tarts are amazing!! It's beautiful, the shop has lovely art pieces and great gift ideas. The wine is lovely and the staff is always knowledgeable and helpful. What more can you ask for?!
It's a lovely trip to a beautiful area. Great little gift shop and patio, Can't comment on the wine, I don't drink, but the Butter tarts will make your head swirl.
Great meals, wines, deserts and gifts! Enjoyed large outside covered dining area! Even classy art displays outside and separate building. Everything one level, for anyone with mobility issues.
Set back off the road, this little slice of paradise is definitely worth a stop, no matter what time of year. In the winter, you may arrive to the smell of woodsmoke on the patio just outside the bakery and shop. At any time of year there may be a wine tasting or event going on, in the nice weather, weekend long events with foodtrucks and the Handmade Market or maybe you just want a little escape onto what feels like an old time back porch that wraps around half the house with a tea or coffee and a homebaked treat. There is a reason they call this place "Butter Tart Heaven".
Open house today. Fabulous!
Great food, amazing butter tarts, exceptional and friendly service. Our go-to winery. We attended our second pairing event and was a lot of fun.
13th Street Winery is one of my favourite spots to stop. Their tasting bar is staffed with approachable experts, the bakery makes some of the best butter tarts I've ever had, and the grounds is always gorgeous no matter the time of year.
Lovely grounds and facilities. Employees were knowledgable and passionate towards the wine tasting. Shop has cute and delicious local items. Butter tarts were AMAZING! Would definitely spend a lot of time here if I lived in the area.
Poor customer service
Cozy fire pit with muskoka chairs. Great wine and the charcuterie box From the pavilion and bakery had some yummy treats. We will be back
Awesome winery! Great tastings and friendly staff.
Really enjoy visiting this place. Items a little pricey but definitely unique. Will certainly recommend to family and friends.
Great wine, food, art, setting, and staff. The wine club is highly recommended, as are the butter tarts and salsa from the shop.
Slow service. Bit of an attitude from the guy at the wine boutique. Amazing butter tarts!
Beautiful grounds, cute gift shop, friendly staff and cakes that are to die for. Definitely a stop worth making
We just made a quick spur-of-the- moment stop here and really enjoyed it! Beautiful facilities, knowledgeable staff in the tasting bar, lovely restaurant (not much food selection though it all smelled good (We didn't have time to eat) ). The atmosphere was so pleasant we really regretted not having time to do the tour and just relax a bit. The wines we tasted were very nice, for the most part. The cuvee rose was especially pleasant, as were the reislings. We ended up buying a few bottles. Very nice place to spend a couple hours.
Great wine, lovely outdoor space and even better tarts!
My favourite winery! I came in the summer twice and the Shrimp Tacos are delicious and I love that there’s live music on Saturdays! Renato was our server and he went above and beyond!
The tone was set for a unique experience from the moment my fiancée and I drove up and were greeted by the boldly colourful sculptures . We started at the wine tasting bar and were almost immediately engaged in warm conversation with a sommelier. After a quick sampling (quick because we were hungry!) we exited to the restaraunt and sat outside on the intimate veranda which seats around 40. We gazed for a while at the visually engaging gardens before ordering. We started by sharing the morsels on a cured meats and cheese platter (accompanied by wine of course), then decided to share a local salad plate instead of dinner per se. It easily satisfied our hunger, and we spent our 2+ un-rushed hours there enjoying each others company in the sumptuous environment. We finished our visit with a trip to the bake shop where we bought a peach pie and a couple of pecan butter tarts. The pastry chef here definitely knows how to make a pie crust! Delectable! Highly recommended. We'll be back in a heartbeat.
Great wine, buttertarts and nice art gallery.
Wonderful! In the winter sit around wood burning fires, a glass of wine, piping hot stew, fantastic bakery. A nice day trip.
Beautiful place, awesome butter tarts.. Will try wine later
Nice place to visit & roam around esp around the bakery!
1st Class Winery and excellent bistro for lunch
We had originally tried to do a tour but had been told that for this time of year, they aren't offering them as per usual. However, we had heard amazing reviews about the winery and definitely wanted to stop in and have a look around. The place was incredibly busy, but because of the layout, not crowded at all. We were able to go inside to sample a few of the wines and then headed for the bakery to try some of those famous butter tarts. Oh my goodness...they did not disappoint! Not sure if anyone has made comment about the cookies but they are amazing too. They definitely were a hit at my house and I wish I would have bought more. I found it to be an incredibly clean, well laid out and welcoming property. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. We will definitely go back again and have an official wine tour.
Property is nice. Wines are okay - they were a bit short on the tasting pours. Bakery staff were awesome.
Avoid the wine club. Calls are not returned. Difficult to deal with.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Try the Cabernet Sauvignon ????
The scones are amazing!!
Wonderful wine and pairings. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable :)
Great function venue, bakery, and of course winery!
Great staff and wine
Very wide selection, great baked goods. The staff are friendly and helpful. Very clean and we'll set up.
Great outside music, patio, Rose wines and drinks. Food and drink was exquisite! Highly recommend staying at one of the 2 air bnb's nearby! They're stunning.
Butter tarts are truly amazing. Nice selection of products. Staff not so great. I found them to be very snotty. Not helpful when I had an issue with the debit machine not working on their end. Definitely won't be going back.
We were looking for a vibrant wine business today and 13th Street Winery was it! The Art Gallery, the Shop and Winery were exquisite!! Welcome to St. Catherine's!
A very good destination winery with a bakery, shop and art gallery.
Best Butter Tarts Ever! Lovely spot to stroll around, have a glass of wine, and enjoy the art gallery. The day we went a group of Niagara Artists were set up all around outside painting so we loved watching them!
Delicious food. I had the steak sandwich and creme brulee. The steak sandwich had a combination of ingredients that I never would have thought to put together (mustard and peaches!?) But I have to say, I savoured every bite. The flavours complimented each other. The creme brulee was very good too. The service was friendly, but slow.
Beautiful winery with architecture buildings, interiors and art sculptures garden! The June's vineyard Riesling was the highlight of the day.
Great wine, even better bakery. While I prefer to make my own stuff, the frozen options are great for a pinch.
Amazing people (Nicole) and great wine.
Visited 13th street winery with my two sisters for our annual get-together and we had a wonderful time! The experience was great, with affordable tasting prices and a gorgeous decor. We were lucky to have Jean-Pierre, the winemaker, assist us in our tasting and give us tons of information and insight into the wines. He made our visit all the more enjoyable! The grounds of the winery are beautiful, with art pieces everywhere. The pastry store is a must, with their famous tartlets. The wines are of high quality and wines from many grape varieties are available. I highly suggest their Gamay. I cannot recommend visiting 13th Street Winery enough!
It was a impromptus stop we did! And I am glad we did it! This winery is very nice and the staff is so friendly. I wished I had the time to sit down and enjoy their bakery. Everything looks so yummy!
Beautiful Winery went to the Hand Made Market
Amazing winery. Great wine food and art. A must stop on any wine tour. When they start back up again that is. Store is open filled with lots of treats and wine of course.
Great service! Amazing wine. All safety precautions are in place, bring a mask and enjoy!
Um, better go here, best wine and pastries ever.
Great winery. Definitely should become a wine club member here!
A lovely place to spend the day. Well maintained and friendly staff. The outdoor seating is just beautiful. Walk through the space and you will get to see loaded grape bunches. The places shut down by 6:00pm so plan accordingly and they do not give a wine tour.
Very nice place with helpful staff and wonderful wine.
Really good wine, beautiful view. The backery is soooo amazing.
Lovely place for a glass of wine, dinner/lunch and they also have the best pastries in town. I always come here for their butter tarts. They are so delicious that is worth coming back, if you're lucky you'll get to enjoy some live music while you sip wine.
Amazing wine and experience!!! Staff were super friendly, we ordered a charcuterie board and it was amaZing! The art around the property is very cool
Great experience with outdoor firepits, bakery, wine tasting, and sculpture park.
Great service great wine!
Best buttertarts anywhere!!
Went to the craft market, which was very nice! The rose was not bad, the red was thin. But the butter tarts were ???? ???? ????
(Translated) Very generous in their knowledge transfer. Welcoming and very knowledgeable about their wines. Claire brings a new perspective on wine making and is a very good communicator. (Original) Très généreux dans leur transfer de connaissance. Accueillants et très informés sur leurs vins. Claire apporte un regard nouveau sur la confection des vins et est très bonne communicatrice.
I never write reviews but this pushed me to the edge… Love this winery and the shop but a very rude staff member literally “shood” us out of the shop then proceeded to let other people in ahead of us because she couldn’t keep track of the …
Great wines, lovely location, and the bakery is magical
Staff was pretentious.. So. E was average
Great view, we visited during the ice wine festival. Worth noting the bathrooms are awesome... Just that they could have some signage.
Beautiful property, and savory wines. 10% off 6 bottles. The Burger blend was sultry and the Gamay Noir was velvety fruitful!
We had a wonderful experience.
Visited the Airbnb nearby. Exceptionally clean and modern spot to have your next get together
Two words...Butter Tarts. Worth the drive, or if you eat too many...bring your bike to ride home! Friendly service and nice wines as well.
We came here with our Husky - dog friendly winery. Staff was very friendly and even offered our dog water. They also have a pastry shop located in a separate building on the same grounds. Highly recommend the tastings, they do a great job here!
Of all the wineries ive been to, my experience here - with Shane as our guide was phenomimal. For someone who has worked in the industey for years, I can say the best part of my stay at 13th (aside from the immersive wine tasting) was the customer service provided by Shane. For someone who loves full bodied, complex wines, I highly recommend adding this spot to your Niagara wine tasting experience.
Love this place! Everyone is so amazing and friendly. It's like a home away from home. I became a wine club member recently and it was well worth it. Thank you to the 13th Winery Team for providing my family, friends, and I a wonderful experience every time we visit.
Have been enjoying the wine and treats for quite some time and just experienced our first dinner and wine pairing at 13th Street. The whole evening was absolutely fantastic!! A big thank you to Doug, Corinne, Chef Josh and all the staff for making our experience exceptional. Can't wait to return! Shawn & Mirella Morrison
Great experience
modern vibes. cool grounds. wine by the firepit. art gallery. a stop into the bakery shop is a must. BEST tarts I've ever tasted.
Beautiful location, cute shop with a variety of specialty jams, bakery goods and ready made meals.....all kinds of odds and ends in there. I was told they have the best butter tarts in the region (have yet to taste)
Excellent food, cider, and customer service. Beautiful property and great for a daytrip or mini vacation. I buy groceries here as well and it's always good to support Canadian, family owned businesses. I dream about this place. A abundance of free parking. The best place to visit all year round. I always feel like I'm a out-of-towner visiting and I only live in Mississauga; the view is just that different because it's peaceful farm country. The drive is worth it and never a bother. I have farm country goals and look forward to living in a town far away from the city where places like this exsist. Only the north would have unique places like this - thanks to social media for introducing this farm to me. I lucked out and my husband really enjoyed himself here. Thanks!
Beautiful
Loved it! Great experience during Covid. Outdoors, wide open space. Nice art gallery, and surprise 964 Porsche inside the gallery.
Great winery to visit! Wine tasting was great with knowledgeable individuals providing insights into the wine. Live outdoor music for those enjoying their tastings or just eating/drinking on their patio! Small art studio and a ton of artwork on site to make it that much more unique. Also a bakery with some really good butter tarts (rated Canada's best butter tarts in 2017).
style over substance
What's amazing about his winery is that you can literally spend a whole day here. Wine tasting, lunch patio, bakeshop/store, wide land/vineyard to wander and full of art scultpures AND art gallery! We had a wine tasting this past weekend and our host Dianne was amazing! Very informative and I can see she has a passion for what she does. Thank you for making the experience a memorable one.
Love this place from the tarts to the wine
Love this place!
Great charcuterie for 2 . Tasty rose. Look forward to visiting again
Great place to visit, wine tasting, bakery and a gallery, take the time to go there and enjoy it
Lovely wines on a beautiful patio
Fun events - excellent cheese and bakery selection.
Very nice! Good food and wine.
If I knew that I had to stand outside in a line like a lemming, just for a glass, I would have brought one from home. Merry Christmas indeed.
Perfect place to visit. We purchased wine, butter tarts, jam and a hat....
A beautiful winery ????
A wonderful place to visit with lots to see - beautiful gardens, art gallery, gift shop with delicious treats, pizza oven and more. We had our son's wedding there last weekend and were extremely happy with the experience. The dinner was absolutely amazing. Great food accompanied with great service! Special thanks to Madeleine who's meticulous attention ensured all of our needs were met and more! We will defintely be back for another visit!!!
Perfect
Words don't even express how amazing the butter tarts are! Absolutely amazing.
Great wines and beautiful venue. Love the art collection and vibe of this winery!
What a great place to visit..the best butter tarts.gallery, shop, wine and icewine fest with outdoor seating with firepits.friendly staff
Best buttertarts ever!
I have never been so disappointed in my life. What a beautiful setting and such beautiful artwork all around, but you stand in line to order your food and pay before to get it, only for it to show up in cardboard bowls and boxes with the cheapest plastic utensils they could find over half hour later. They bend when you use them. The food was not memorable in the least. My two friends had the summer squash salad for $16 each and they said it wasn’t great. We also ordered burrata which was small and came with a small loaf of white bread for $18 which had no flavour. I ordered the smoked salmon sandwich which was good but couldn’t cut it due to the cheap utensils. It’s not a sandwich which you can hold as it has a poached egg on top $17. I asked the server to please get me a real knife and she told me “we don’t do that” I told her I have a disability and can’t cut with the wobbly plastic knife so she trotted off to get me a knife and literally threw it on the table. We each had a glass of wine (3) and the bills came to over $100 just to eat out of cardboard. Sorry but I won’t be back.
One of the best wineries I've ever been to. The wine was fantastic and so were the tarts from the bakery. I will be back for sure.
Beautiful property and amazing for romantic option or to go with friends and relax. Did the tasting wine with Renato that was very friendly and knowledgeable. Even during COVID time they delivered great. Super clean! This winery has a lot of different options to keep coming back. Recommended!
A lovely visit to 13th Street Winery! This place has it all: lovely wines, yummy bistro food, delicious bakery, beautiful views, and even a modern art gallery on site. Give yourself lots of time when visiting this winery because there's so much to enjoy. Special thanks to Jillian's customer service in helping us with our reservation, and to Ashley for her presentation of the wines.
Open concept covid set up. Nice that they are one of the only wineries open until 6pm!
Amazing service, the host Ben was very nice. Highly recommended
Wine Tasting Vouchers aren't accepted as a heads up right now. They only do wine tasting reservations or wine by the glass and finding a spot to sit during COVID stage 2. Overall this seemed like a very bougie winery that's more about the atmosphere replicating something you'd find in Napa, California. While the grounds are definently beatiful along with the art displays, and the buildings are well laid out, I feel like this is more about that vs the wine itself.
Great wines. Great friendly and helpful staff. Lovely set-up. Classy.
We went for lunch and enjoyed the nice setting, and a couple of us tried the 'cheese and charcuterie board' that is featured on their website. For $18 you get 2 samples of their charcuterie, and 2 of their cheese. All were very small, uninteresting, and unimpressive - very disappointing. After some fussing with the waitress we managed to get another 2 pieces of cheese, but this still compared very poorly to the cheese trays that we got for less money as part of wine tastings elsewhere. The service was rather slow too, but the food was the big problem.
Amazing butter tarts! I love butter tarts. I love making them, eating them, and judging them. These are by far some of the best butter tarts I have every tried. If you do go, treat yourself to the bacon butter tarts, they are unforgettable
A wonderful winery to visit. It has so much happening. It's a winery with a great bakery an art gallery, art display on the grounds. The staff is very friendly, informative, and helpful. I go often and it's a wonderful outing anytime of year.
Plan to come bk again, was quite enjoyable
Great service and great mix of wines to choose from! A beautiful place to walk around too.
A beautiful place with awesome ambience. The bakery has individually rich flavor in its products. The photo gallery was nice place to see art by the professors of art.
Absolutely loved this place, can't wait to go back and the butter tarts were amazing!!!
The customer service was horrible. Our host was aloof and ruined our experience. I was beyond disappointed.
They have a bake shop on the premise.Lots of places to sit outdoors and obviously a good selection of wines.
Despite their website promote as a dog friendly winery but is not true. Mix info from their employees and was being asked to do wine tasting outside in the rain......Definitely not coming back.
We were there for a wedding reception, the food and wine pairings were fantastic! …
The best butter tarts I ever had!!!! It is soo good. I love the varieties too : plain, raisins, pecan, skor, and hot chocolate. YUMMMM. Great job with getting people to social distance during this time.
I would leave my Grandma on the side of the road if it meant getting some of their butter tarts a place to rest in the car. Just kidding but only by a little.
Dashed in for a bottle on Labour Day and was drawn in to hike around to check out the artwork. Enjoyed the art installations very much and left in a cheerful mood on a gray day. Enjoying the wine now! Highly recommended.
The dinner, the wine pairing and the company. ... all outstanding! thank you chef Josh, winemaker Jean Pierre and sommelier Corinne!
Outstanding home in the midst of a stupendous vineyard. Impeccable style and peaceful surroundings.
The MOH found this winery online on a whim for something to do on a Saturday. We could not have asked for a more perfect day, the food was excellent, the service was phenominal, the wine was delicious (s/o to you Cuvee Rose) and the vibe was everything we could have asked for and more. I never write reviews but we had such a perfect day I had to! 15/10 would recommend.
If you are looking for a winery with a bake shop, this is your best bet! They have to most moist and delicious butter tarts with a variety of flavors. The wine is lovely especially their rosè. Taking off one star as we personally didn't find the staff in the gift shop to be helpful or approachable.
Great place to visit & taste wines. Did a lovely food pairing 4 wines with food. Great store for frozen foods, bakery & special gift items. No longer serve food . Lots of parking
Excellent wine tasting, wine guide Shane was awesome and very knowledgeable.
Amazing bakery, butter tarts are not to be missed.
An awesome comfortable place to spend time with friends and family
Amazing winery with so much to do. We love the bakery, gallery, and live music. It's always a stop on our wine tours.
Comfortable to go have wine and food....lots of space for distancing. Gift shop bakery etc always full of great items to buy.
A terrible experience. The winery seemed fine online, but when we arrived we were completely ignored. I know there were five people sampling, but after 15 or so minutes, even a brief nod or acknowledgement of our existence would have been appreciated, particularly after an employee left the sampling area and walked over to our location. Instead, nothing, We went out and came back in and waited a bit more, and still nothing. Finally, we left and went to the busier Flat Rock, where we were warmly welcomed, even though we had to wait a bit to sample. We tasted and bought quite a few bottles of wine, especially their excellent Pinot Noirs. If you want to be treated well, by all means avoid !3th Street. If you want excellent service and wine, try Flat Rock.
It is a beautiful little winery with an outstanding bakery.
Excellent place for lunch
Incredible wine - and food - and the grounds were immaculate. Some really interesting and funky art going on as well. Even when the kitchen was minutes from closing they accommodated our order and provided great service.

Great wines amazing new building and the best butter tarts in the bakery.
LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Joined the club
The butter tarts here are absolutely the best! Worth making the visit for those alone. Cute gallery and outdoor art exhibit on site. Adam was great for our wine tasting - very insightful and helpful with pairing wines to our palates.
We had a very nice afternoon here until we were leaving….we enjoyed a glass of wine, pizza, bakery, and the gallery. If you’re looking for a great butter tart. Look no further. My rating would have been 5 starts at this point. However, on our way out we decided to order a pizza to go for my sister’s husband. Paid for the pizza and an hour and a half later it still wasn’t ready. We asked twice how long it would be and both times they said 15 mins. (Extremely inaccurate). The last time I asked I was within earshot and overheard staff telling a patron they will take care of the VIP’s first. Felt very frustrated after having heard this. Was not made aware in advance they would be “class selecting”. If you’re going to do that and have a customer wait an hour and a half for a personal size pizza - you should advise people of the wait time in advance of payment. It’s a shame that we had this experience because the overall ambiance was quite pleasant.
Five Stars Winery, very good wine
Fantastic staff on the wine side. Friendly and knowledgeable, the wine tasting is an experience in itself. What makes this special is the variety of grapes that they work with, most of them with an equally amazing result. Had a chance to met Jean Pierre the wine maker and he is a truly passionate and talented individual. Most of all simple and real. Truly worth paying a bit of premium to support local higher end wine making
Smaall bakery and winery good products
Great place! Renato is a gem! Fun events with good wine and food. What more do you need?
Winery was fun but the homemade buttertarts are to die for, got my sugar fix for the week. Must experience.
We have always loved visiting the 13th Street Vinery. We finally made it for their Friday pizza day. Excellent thin crust wood oven baked pizza! While their outdoor patio was a bit cool, staff had blankets to help keep you warm & fire pits to keep you comfortable. Their bakery gift shop is a must do with the BEST butter tarts & other bakery. Terrific selection of cheeses, prepared foods, specialty food items, wines and gifts. Definitely worth a visit!
Nice visit and good wine. Pleasant people
I had a great time for a work venue. The service was top notch. The lunch menu was so delicious and I picked some yummy desserts at the bakery!!
Was are first stop with Crush tours. Beautiful winery and grounds. Friendly and courteous staff. Wonderful tasting wines. Enjoyed a fabulous and filling lunch on the patio followed by the most amazing butter tarts. Thank you.
Great baked good selections. We visited when they had an onsite chef preparing stews for you and it wad oustanding. Very professional service and he recommend a great wine that went well with our stew.
Very beautiful venue, service was excellent and the hospitality was amazing, I sure learned a lot and the wine was perfect. Awesome experience. A must visit.
Beautiful property, lovely art gallery, best butter tarts EVER...just to name a few. Frozen foods, wine, outdoor dining, live music.....to name a few more! Friendly knowledgeable team on hand to help with whatever you need. 13th Street is a must if you are travelling through Niagara or a resident of Niagara, you are missing out on a 5++++ star experience if you don't experience this venue
This was my first stop on my birthday May 3. The young man that did the tasting was fabulous! He was very knowledgeable, gracious, and the pride in the product showed in his discussion of the wine. Really enjoyed our experience here. The building itself is truly beautiful as are the grounds with the sculpture garden. The butter tarts we got from the bakery were phenomenal! We will be returning, had a great experience here.
The best ever
Always a pleasure. Fabulous!
Gamazing! Love this place. The wine is good (love the sparkling!) and you can’t beat the service and atmosphere. Thank you Corinne! You are awesome.
(Translated) A very beautiful vineyard, very good quality wines at very competitive prices (Original) Un très beau vignoble , des vins de très bonne qualité à des prix très concurrentiel
What a great place to visit for some wine tasting. Karen was so amazing and helpful when it was time to pick our wines. Really enjoyed the 3 that we tried. Will be back again soon for sure.
Great food and wine!
Nice setting, but rather disorganized due to Covid and the wine on offer was rather sour.
Best Butter Tarts in Ontario! Great wine as well!
We had a great time at 13th Street winery. Second time there and enjoyed it as much as our first time. Food is delishious. The bakery is great. We enjoyed our wine sampling but the view and the artwork throughout the property is fantastic. Very relaxing. A spot to defintely visit.
Beautiful grounds, delicious bakery and very welcoming staff. Highly recommend this winery!
I love the 13th Street Winery, and their bakery. HOWEVER, They decided to be part of the Grape and Wine Festival (which is Saturday and Sunday over 2 weekends) and they were closed on Sunday! Please don’t agree to be part of a festival if you are unwilling to change your hours to be available when your customers have purchased passes. To reply to the owner’s message below, this was NOT stated on any of the festival’s marketing.
Nice bakery and special events space.
I love this winery, the food and butter tarts are amazing. The reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because while eating lunch there on the patio last weekend a person brought two HUGE dogs onto the patio where everyone eats. The winery did not ask them to take their dogs off the patio. Having dogs on the patio where food is being prepped OR served in against the law in Ontario. I do not dislike dogs but I do not want them beside me when I am eating. People please leave your dogs at home when coming to restaurants.
Beautiful place , nice people !
Food and service excellent because we had lunch we received a 5$ off coupon for 2 bottles of wine and a coupon for a free wine tasting for 2 pretty good deal not to mention a lovely atmosphere
Nice place good food and wine
They have the best sparkling Rose around!
What a beautiful winery, great space to get away too. The staff was pleasant and I have to recommend the award winning butter tarts are a must have. Go early and grab a dozen because there is no way you will eat just one.
Had a wonderful time, Renato was excellent, knowledgeable, very personable, added to the experience. Picked up couple bottles The wines we tried were all excellent
Decent wines, great staff, excellent bakery. Worth a stop. Nice grounds. Very good art on display.
Amazing art, so much to look at. Friendly staff and the best butter tarts and salsa I have ever had! Highly recommend this winery.
Seth was amazing to work with! We had a wonderful time and learned so much about wine! The bakery was so good!! I would definitely recommend this place! The whole estate is beautiful!
I loved their Wine, I was a tad bit upset that there wasn't a tour, but going back on the weekend. You can't leave without their butter tarts. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable
Had a fantastic time at the Holiday Party! Great venue, welcoming bubbly, food stations with perfect wine pairing, great music ! Nice touch with the name tags, could call people by name.Very friendly staff makes you feel at home.Dont forget the homemade marshmallows you could roast by the fire. And the bakery,oh my.
Favorite winery! Impeccable concept, experience and wine!
Beautiful and spacious! Fire pits and huge sitting area.
Such a pleasant pm sitting in the Fall sunshine enjoying lunch. Great food
Thursday nights at 13th street winery is a great way to enjoy the summer. Bring some chairs, listen to the music, order your glass of wine and if you are feeling peckish, order from their light fare menu. Remember to bring your mask if you want to visit the bakery and wine store, otherwise, relax and enjoy. Open from 5 to 8 pm.
Excellent service from Nicole! She helped me get exactly what I wanted to send as a gift to my family in St. Catherine’s. Thanks!!
Very friendly. Good craft show. Dollar value excellent. Finitely would recommend. See you in September
Beautiful location, vineyard, bakery and art gallery.
Love the wine here at 13th street. Gift shop has many amazing things to try. You must buy the fire & ice jelly. Truly wonderful
recently ordered from here- great selection on the menu, easy ordering and payment online, quick curbside pick up available. All of the bakery items are amazing- butter tarts are some of the best i've ever had!! will always go back
Stopped in for the first time,. Purchased the Riesling. To be honest I am not a wine lover or know anything about wine, but I was very pleased with the flavour, finally a wine I enjoyed. There I a small market that offers cheeses and baked good. Apparently in the summer they prepare lunches and you can enjoy a glass of wine as you walk through the grounds which is full of local art.
The best butter tarts around, but the staff is not always pleasant. We have had a couple of poor experiences in the bakery and a poor experience this weekend at the tasting bar when Jill rolled her eyes at us as she entered in our order. The atmosphere is beautiful, but the attitude from the staff really puts a damper on these visits.
Quite nice place . Hospitality is amazing and a great selection of wines. Beautiful winery and bakery. Wonderful place to get a glass a wine and sit on their patio. Will definitely go back again .
Came here quite a while ago during my visit on a recommendation that they had a great bakery producing heavenly butter tarts. Drove 3.5 hours over for tarts that were alright, but my issue was the winery. My boyfriend and I did the tasting for two, and eventually settled with the salesperson that tastings are waived if wines are purchased. Long story short, reassured twice if these wines were not offered at LCBO, were sold, left with blah wine, and further returning home we use our tech saavy devices to find that these wines are sold at lcbo. Purchased the known for sparking and some new age named blends. I guess this is partially consumers regret... just a share.. Please understand 7 hours on the road for this. Thank you for a I will never return experience.
Should have been the destination rather than a whim. So far the pumpkin pie butter tart is ahead by a neck!
My friends and I planned a weekend away to Niagra and made sure we stopped at 13th as we have always had the greatest experience (and wine) there! It was a beautiful day and were helped right away by the wonderful Brie. She was so informative and helpful and had a great sense of humour! The Rosé she recommended was so amazing, we all bought a bottle! Would go back in a heartbeat and special shoutout to Brie for making the experience so great! Also great job at distancing the tables on the lawn!
Pretty setting and many amenities at the winery - store, bakery, wine shop and tasting area in the processing barn. Was there for the handmade crafts show; will come back for a wine tour, and tastings!
Wonderful baked goods. The best Nanaimo bars.
"Wine down Thursdays" with live music & food & champagne....Fantastic!!
Best pecan tarts I've ever had!
Expensive and so so so. $15 for a breadbowl and stew. Bakery has a long line up in the weekends.
Amazing night out with friends! One of our first social events since COVID restrictions were lifted. Attended the Thursday night live music/bistro/wine event. Summer squash salad and salmon gravlax were to die for. Loved the Vin Gris rose. Thanks for the lovely night.
A friendly atmosphere
lobster Mac and Cheese was disappointing. The Ingredient list states lobster is the primary ingredient. I would doubt there was one lobster claw in the whole dish. It’s not Mac, it’s gnocchi. I don’t normally write bad reviews but really felt fleeced tonight.
I had an overall enjoyable experience here. It is very beautiful, the wines were nice and the staff were great. The red haired man who did my tasting was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He let me try a fifth wine outside their 4 for $10 tasting so that I could find a wine I really liked. I tried 5 of their wines, 2 whites and 3 reds. I enjoyed them all and left with the unoaked Chardonnay and Cab Merlot. The reds were all fruity so it be nice to have more earthy or smokey options. Many wines were reserved for wine club members only. The exclusivity did leave me a little disappointed as he kept saying how excellent the wines were that are unavailable to me.
Our first visit; the tasting went well and there is lots going on. Live band, tastings, wine by the glass, a busy bakery and art everywhere.
Amazing atmosphere. Can easily spend a couple hours checking out the are with a glass of wine.
I will definitely be back when the Virus is over. Want to try there pizza nights and to check out the LIVE MUSIC.
Cherry pies + tarts....butter tarts....need I say more??????????????
Great value. First stop on way from GTA
13th Street has changed their wine club membership without notice. The program has completely changed. Most of the perks that came with the program are no longer there. We should have been notified of the changes. In my opinion the membership has no real value anymore. When I asked why the perks were taken away I was told their costs have gone up with supporting the PPE requirements. Parking lot was half full the day I was there where the other wineries I visited that day were full. I see that as a direct result.
Amazing wines and beautiful place.
Such friendly staff!...excellent selection of wines!!!...awesome bakery!
Fantastic baked goods in the bakery. Butter tarts are amazing. Burger blend wines really go well at a barbecue! Always enjoy the visit.
Very nice place. Reasonable lunch prices
This winery is lovely to visit - the buildings and gardens are well designed and there is art spread out across the grounds to explore. The bakery was also yummy - those butter tarts are not overrated! Only thing that we didn’t absolutely love was the wine - not because it wasn’t good, it just wasn’t to our taste.
Such a great wi ery and loved the craft show tjat was happening this weekend!!
Lovely gifts and delicious treats!
My absolute favourite winery in the Niagara area. Love the art, the grounds, the bakery and the pavillion!
The service and food we're excellent. A beautiful setting!
Beautiful winery and grounds
This is my favourite winery in Ontario. It is great wine but also great art and a wonderful environment. The service is first class. A beautiful fall day, sitting by a fire with a glass of great wine was magical. To have the owner welcome us was just a great extra.
This review focuses on the bakery (though I love their wines too!!! Purchased their premiere cuvee recently it was fantastic) Have you had their butter tarts? Carrot cake? If not you are missing out. Love the shop here, there are not only baked goods and a variety of frozen meal type items (often meat pies, soups etc) there are also a lot of hard goods to browse. They make their own salsa, jams and jellies it is nice to have a place that makes these items using local produce. The salsa is somehow both sweet and spicy there is something about it that just makes you want to take another bite. The grounds are beautiful and their recent renovations have made the place look even nicer! Love coming here with my young daughters for a visit and a cookie (oatmeal raisin yum). It's nice to feel welcome at a winery property even if you're dressed more casually and the staff have always been so welcoming! This is a MUST TRY place if you haven't already!
The butter tarts themselves are worth the visit. Holy moly they were ridiculously good.
Always the very best time!
I was celebrating my birthday with five of my friends at the winery. We had a great time and enjoyed a few glasses of wine as well as their fresh made pizzas and baked goods. All the waiters and other staff were absolutely lovely. A few days before my celebration I called the winery and they told me that we could stay on the grounds as long as we want, even after they officially close. Unfortunately my whole experience was ruined towards the end of the evening when the restaurant or winery manager (she didnt introduce herself) approached our group out of nowhere and told us to leave in an EXTREMELY rude way, I was so shocked and tried to explain that I was told it was alright for us to enjoy the grounds, but again she was extremely rude and dismissive. I find this to be extremely disappointing. I cant believe that while the hospitality industry is facing a major struggle and I am trying to support local businesses, this winery is allowing their customers to be treated this way...I am still in shock and I dont think I will be coming back. You definitely need to work on your customer service and remind your staff to be gracious to your customers...
Went there for the show, but the amazing winery attached us, definitely be back in the future. Highly recommend.
Had the best time visiting 13th Street Winery yesterday with my sister! The staff is amazing, we enjoyed a glass of wine and charcuterie board on the beautiful patio overlooking the vineyard. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Will definitely be visiting again. A huge plus is that they are very family friendly. Also best butter tarts we’ve ever had purchased from the on site bakery!!!
Always enjoyable, the art, scrulpture and of course the wine.
We had a memorable experience this summer when we visited 13th Street Winery for the first time. There we met Geoff, a retired teacher who had just started at the winery. His enthusiasm and personality made this so enjoyable as we did a flight-tasting on the patio. We purchased basically what we sampled and will definitely return another time
Great butter tarts
Thursday and Friday evenings the wine bar is open until 8 pm. Food is served from the bistro on Thursday and Avella's Pizza on Friday. Great food and wine. The setting is fantastic with tables and chairs set up under the covered patio and on the lawn. Local musical talent serenades the guests on these evenings as well. Overall, a very pleasant way to spend an evening. The rest of the week you can enjoy a glass of wine and food selections from the bistro during the day. Your visit isn't complete until you have checked out the bakery and purchased some of their wonderful butter tarts and other baked goodies.
Unique winery that combines wine, art and food. Food is good, deserts are fantastic.
Really wonderful spot!
Awesome art gallery, sculpture garden, bakery and winery. A beautiful outing for all ages.
Visited here many times and enjoyed every second of it. By far one of the most beautiful wineries I've been to.
Long line ups, not enough service people...
Grate area lots of art sculptures to see and special events area
