I’ve been there twice - the second time was the best ever! They have wine tasting and tour, the exclusive Franc Blanc is totally worth the visit! We bought 2 bottles - that’s how good it is. Staff is proud, approachable and happy. Wines are very affordable and unique taste. A true wine experience for wine lovers. I’ll be back for a third time and I recommend!

This is an absolute hidden gem in NOTL!!! Crazy great wines at crazy great prices and absolute top-notch service from Joanna. Highly recommend the 2014 Fume Blanc (followed closely the 2015). 2014 Rose and Wanderlust red are great too. If you love small wineries and aren't into the whole ice wine thing, you must, must, must check out NOMAD at Hinterbrook. It will exceed your expectations!!!

I would consider Nomad at Hinterbrook a hidden gem. We paid a little extra to enjoy the ice wines (all of which were very tasty). They give you a glass (which you can keep) to enjoy 5 wines in the flight. The downside were the available tables. They don’t have the furniture to accommodate large groups, as the picnic tables were saved for groups of 10 or more. So our party of 6 had to crowd around a barrel to enjoy the tasting. It wasn’t the most comfortable, but at least the service was pretty quick. I think my favourite was the Late Harvest Riesling (in the Ice Wine menu).

Happened upon this wonderful place during a bike ride. Did a wine tasting out on the patio. Violet (one of the owners) served us and was very engaging in describing the wines we were trying. There were some very unique flavours and overall we left feeling like we needed more. Signed up for their email list and will definitely come back to buy some bottles.

Beautifully scaped, vineyard back drop. Amazing riesling taste and value for money. Knowledgeable and well informed staff were available to answer our every question. We really enjoyed going as a small group tour of 10 people due to the covid restriction, and at the end of our tour desided we would go back again soon. We loved their riesling so much, we will be driving back, just to get a larger stash.

Definitely they need to master their Welcoming factor to their building and staff. My group walked in the building, 3 staff members saw us and didn't even say Hello or introduce us to their tasting concept. Them you have to ask how does it work. Them you go outside, and the staff doesn't even engage with you. They put the wine in the glass and walk away. Terrible show case, cold staff members. Just not personable , it's just another day at work for them.

Pretty good wine selection and staff but a tad bit dark inside lol. I wish they paved the road outside, quite a bumpy ride because of the rock road. They have a fairly good selection of ice wines, rosè, blends and curiosities. Overall a decent experience. My friends did buy several wines but one ice wine for over $70 was a little too expensive.

I recently took my second visit to this vineyard and winery with a good friend, and we were completely blown away. Ihor was behind the bar pouring sample, and whether it was because of our deeply inquisitive behaviour or just because he liked us, he took us on a liquid journey through several of their most funky wines to find something fun and exciting for both of us, not only in their tasting room, but also behind the scenes in the winery and history room. We even met the head winemaker and picked up a bottle of their Stardust blend, which was exactly what I was looking for in a flavour most likened to a ‘natural’ wine (less common around this region). So good, thank you Ihor and crew!

Tasted wine in a house and not the shop. We were told to find a barrel and someone would be with us shortly but the house was freezing. Not really the most appealing environment to enjoy wine We did have some decent wines .. but some prices are over the top, like $280 for an appassimento style wine?! Would recommend you visit in the summer. Being in a cold house in Winter was a hard pass for me.

This was the best winery of our visit in December 2020! It is the best value I’ve ever had for wine tasting in the region ever- they even gave us the wine glasses at the end! The wine itself is wonderful and I bought a deliciously crisp sparkling rosé that wowed everyone. Ihor was a true delight. What an EXPERT, he was honestly like a scientist about the process and pairings- I’ve never learned more with any wine consultant than with him. He shared remarkable knowledge coming from years of education all around Europe, and even recommended wonderful movies and mixed drinks for me and my boyfriend to discover. A really memorable experience- we couldn’t recommend Ihor and this winery more- thank you!

Absolutely spectacular. We’ve done a lot of tastings this weekend, and nothing stands out us much as these wines. What they’re producing here is truly unique. The art gallery atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable service also stood out. You have to make it here if you’re visiting the Niagara region.

We went on a Saturday for wine tasting to different wineries and we went back on Sunday because we loved this place . $7 for 5 wine tasting plus they gave us the same wine glass that we were doing the tasting to take home . Super friendly staff , delicious wines and beautiful place, family friendly . 100% recommended .

We had the best time at NOMAD by Hinterbrook last weekend. Even with Covid-19, it was just a great experience. Everyone was seated apart enough that you didn't feel people around you. The staff was just so knowledgeable and courteous that even though we were still experiencing wine past closing, we were told to take our time and in fact, we were given two more samples to try. And the prices are great! Seriously, go try NOMAD by Hinterbrook. It's a fun time.

My husband and I visited here recently and had a wonderful experience. Their outdoor tasting area is beautifully setup - so private and sitting under the huge tree was so relaxing. The gentleman who helped us during our tasting was so knowledgeable and clearly passionate about wines. When he found out we were newlyweds, he even offered to let us try a special wine not on the menu. We bought a few bottles that we fell in love with and cannot wait to visit here again!

We stopped here July 4th 2020 during COVID seatings. It was a beautiful well shaded outdoor tasting area. The wine tastings were really inexpensive ($7 for 5 samples), so we tasted 5 wines each and really enjoyed them all. There were some unique wine styles as well as lots of Ice wine choices. We ended up buying 3 bottles. We would definitely recommend if you are in the area or able to make the trip!
