REVIEWS OF Mission Hill Family Estate Winery IN British Columbia

Danny Fowler

It is a beautiful place but that's it. Came here hoping to go on a tour, we were informed that we have to pre-book the tour online. So we made best of our visit to have a wine tasting. We each sampled four glasses of wine. However they use the same glass each time, and nothing to cleanse your palate. I have never done a wine tasting right haven't got a new glass each time. do you want us to taste your wine or do you want us to blend them all together? The staff also seemed very unattentive. I have gone too many wineries in the lower mainland in Okanagan and this is by far the worst.

Leonard Chee

Great wine and excellent service. The tour is quite fun too

Shaun Guimond

Beautiful location and amazing buildings. The extravagance is incredible and the staff were warm and friendly. For people who enjoy wine, I highly recommend trying a tour. The person was very knowledgeable and funny and made the experience a good one. As a warning, it is fairly expensive, but there are some options which are reasonable.

Dave Matchett

Did the culinary experience event (Bacon Nation). A very well done venue with nice views of the chefs activities that helps you understand how to cook an awesome meal. The 5 course meal an wine paring were just about perfect. Well worth it.

A G

Amazing Mother’s Day feast with thanks to Mission Hill! Amazing. Thank you ????

Niki Sidhu

Delicious food and beautiful views. Be sure to make a reservation in advance.

Angelina Momoh

My experience was amazing. Although I didn't do a tour or eat in the restaurant this place was absolutely breathtaking. The perfectly trimmed grass, and the awesome view of the lake. The architecture of the building was extravagant and the bell tower was truly special. I tried to take a picture in the vineyard by the cliff and this girl followed me and told me to leave and she didn't let me take pictures! I really didn't like her

Tyler Kennedy

Absolutely remarkable. Bram - our guide - was funny, friendly, and informative and didn't hesitate to answer all our questions. The scenery, which really goes without saying, is unbelievable. Definitely recommend this place during your next trip the Kelowna!

Andrea Spallanzani

Beautiful Winery, great view. Food is quite good.

Lindsay J.

Highly recommend the tour! Megan, you were a fantastic guide and made us feel right at home! Thank you thank you!

Cherie Skeeter

Server for wine tasting was innecessarily rude to our group. We had planned to puchase two bottles of wine but instead hastily finished our tasting and left.

Audaciously Me !

Mission Hill Family estates is just absolutely beautiful to be honest. I really enjoyed sampling here, and bought a bottle of Pinot Gris. Im looking forward to another sample here tomorrow! Pairing event went really nice today, and we received great customer service from Emily !

Phillip Lee

Such a beautiful place to visit. Don't miss it if you're visiting Kelowna!

Greg Abramoff

Very nice winery! Scenery and building are very well thought out. This winery is a little commercial, the wine prices are usually more expensive here than the wine stores. We were here for the festival of trees and really enjoyed walking around enjoying the trees. The food is also good here but can be expensive.

Oliver Cowern

My wife and I have been all over the Okanagan doing wine tastings, accompanied by our dog. Most places either let her in, or have a nice shaded spot where one of us can sit while the other tastes the wines. Not so at Mission Hill. Over 30°C, looking for some shade while my other half went wine tasting, but told dogs not allowed on the grounds at all. Only winery I have ever encountered with this rule. Not going to leave the puppy to bake in the car, so left to go to somewhere more friendly.

Shawn Kay

Terrible atmosphere. Staff seem demeaned and diminished by management . You can clearly tell adminstration and staff are at odds Update. Nothing has changed. WCB is now involved in the trashy winery's worker conditions . And employee doctors are baffled and reporting about the issues now. Good work mission Hill. Never been a to a winery that treats employees so terrible wanting to force people to work on disability til push comes to shove is aggregious. Enjoy this press pathetic winery BTW doctors notes are no longer required . Get the point ?

Angela He

Came here for my first wine tasting; the wines were delicious (especially their Riesling Icewine!! Unreal and I ended up dishing out the $100+ for the full bottle), our guide was patient and knowledgeable, and the design/decorating of the winery is beautiful, making for nice pictures and exploration. 10/10 and highly recommend stopping by Mission Hill!

mm horricks

The views from here are spectacular and the wine tasting is an enjoyable experience

Marc LeBlanc

Beautiful facility, cool story, good wine. We got a private tour today because our tour-mates didn't show up. Tina was our tour guide and did a fantastic job.

Skye Willis

A beautiful place for dinner on a beautiful evening

William

The place is beautiful. Picked one of the worst weekends to go because of the heat wave. Really enjoyed the scenery.

Olena Mitovska

Absolutely the most beautiful winery that we visited. Stunning lake views and beautiful site, lots of decor and art pieces make an absolutely enjoyable experience. Wines are very good too. We fell in love with their Brut Rose , it was perfect for the heat wave we had in 2021.

Jomana Elwenni

My first time here and I loved it! I went to 2 other wineries before this and I have to say that my experience at Mission Hill was incredible. The experience post-covid is so intimate and relaxing. You aren't rushed, no crowds, and the host gives you 5-star tour and experience. We had Kelly and she was AMAZING. I also had my wine shipped (for free) to my home and it arrived 2 days after my tour. This place was amazing and highly recommend!! The wine was the best of course.

Dave Vanlaar

Beautiful and great wine!

Gregg Nilson

Excellent

Matt Good

What an incredible experience! We enjoyed our way through the tasting menu with a few extras suggested by Bram. From top to bottom the locally, and seasonally inspired menu was exceptional. The tempura oyster mushrooms, dry aged rib eye, and walnut nougat had to be my personal favorites. For wines, the Oculus, and Riesling Icewine were both winners. The staff were all exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and professional! I haven't even mentioned the breathtaking view and property yet! Mission Hill is an absolute must stop. Thank you Bram, and everyone for taking care of us!

James K

Had just a wonderful time with Angele here at the tasting room. Highly recommend that you ask for her when here.

Charles C

I enjoyed my visit here. The place is quite large and can get quite crowded. The wine tour was really nice and don't quite understand how some of the other reviews didn't see its value. The tour included a tasting of two wines (merlot and something else I can't remember at the moment), an additional tasting of 2 wines from a fixed menu (including an ice wine) and a $5 coupon for a purchase in the store. The restaurant into the estate was delicious. Staff around the estate offered to help us take pictures. I really have zero complaints and thoroughly enjoyed my experience here.

kat zee

Beautiful place and nice staff. A work of art both in design and product xx

Daran Gray-Scholz

We did the Guided tour that also came with a paired tasting, and it was well worth the price. The grounds, gardens and trees are beautiful, and the architecture really has lovely details. The ginko tree and the underground dormant volcano (the wine cellar) were especially enjoyable. Loved the wine and food too.

tracey stevens

I never got to do a wine tasting looking forward to that next time. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful.

Doug Rhodes

the grounds were beautiful, filled with art and fountains. the wine tour was terrific and informative. the wine was delicious. we bought 3 bottles of Cabernet and one chardonnay.

Cherry Fedalizo

Member wine tasting with Karly was very enjoyable! Great hire and very knowledgeable.

Nicholas Bougie

Would recommend the dinner they offer to anyone

SABiersteker

Stunning architecture, beautiful views, and tasteful wines. Could you ask for anything more? Definitely recommend.

Nick Ghasemi

this place is make you feel like you walked in paradise. so beautiful and gorgeous. i have been in a few winery like Napa valley. but so far this place is the best. i am sure Italy or France will give you this feeling too. highly recommends! the food was good as well

B Inthavong

What is this place? It is like walking into a movie set. Unique winery experience. The winery definitely focused on the asthetics when they constructed this place. Lots of photo opportunities for those wanting Instagram worthy photos. If you time in properly you could also go watch a show outdoors! Wine is pretty amazing.

Amber Mullins

Beautiful scenery and architecture. The wine tasting was amazing, the woman knew everything you needed to know. We loved it so much we had to stay for the restaurant experience. We had this incredible server Matt from England - would go back again just based on his service

Brian Kenny

Delicious 2 course meal with wine pairing.

Elie Vincent

Our family attended a couple of wine tastings last week when we were there on a family vacation and were helped by SJ and Matthew and they were both so lovely and knowledgeable! The wine was wonderful but I have to say they both made the experience exceptional. We were able to enjoy a wine and foo bite pairing outside and a private lunch with wine and both were sooo lovely! The Cab Franc might be my new favourite wine! Thank you SJ and Matthew!

Justine Milton

despite how nice the place may be, and despite my family's love of wine they are very unaccommodating and not willing to host any "personal" events. Tried to inquire about a rehearsal dinner for friends and family visiting the Okanagan and the rules they mentioned were absolutely ridiculous.

George Biazzo

We finally made it up here after years of trying. Oh man, am I glad we did. To hell with the haters, Mission Hill is one of the best winery experiences around. This is one classy company.

Matthew Wright

If you are looking for your best wine tasting experience ever, don't hesitate to choose "Misson Hill". That was amazing for me. Meghan, our tour leader was so friendly, polite, and professional. She was able to inteoduce this fantastic Winery perfectly.

Brandon Siu

Dog unfriendly, unfriendly staff, not the most spectacular wine selections for tasting given Its reputation. My family and i, who are doing a road trip through the okanagan valley, found the whole experience alittle gimmicky starting with the suited gentlemen, standing in -2 degree weather, holding platter of wine to welcome people- only to find out it's all for show. Staff were alittle rude, almost belittling about our lack of knowledge about wines from the religion. Although the winery reception area, architecture and view was beautiful, we found much better experiences at the other wineries down the road with similar quality/selections of wine and far better service.

Anonymous

Wonderful intimate experience with Margerhita for private tasting to start. Andrew took over for our private lunch and pairing and knocked it out of the park with great energy and enthusiasm. Eden finished strong and we had an amazing tour of the cellars. Keep it casual or go all out. Great winery and experience all round.

Daniel Legal

Great views of the lake. Great facilities. I highly recommend making this one of your wine tour stops. You won't be disappointed.

Junior Karl

Don't Miss This Beautiful Place It's Gorgeous We Really Enjoyed Our Visit!

Thomas Donker

Beautiful place, awesome view. Good food, but sightly overpriced. It's basically an average Italian vineyard, but then too commercial.

Simon Cunningham

Not super impressed. I have enjoyed Mission Hill wines for quite some years. Today I finally opened my 2013 Oculus. After about 20 min of letting it sit in the glass to breathe it was actually quite nice. (Not as nice as 2012 or 2013 Copendium).... however at the end of my glass I found some dark sediment inside my glass. See photos. I expect better for this price.

Veronika Hong

Beautiful winery. The tour guide was very friendly. Had a great experience at the bar and got to try variety of wines. Friendly service and offered good recommendations.

austin Bangay

Was definently great experience and the host carlie was great, couldn't have asked for a better host wine tasting host and have been to a few during this trip! awesome environment and interactiond Great service and common courtesy!! Would recommend 100%

Daniella Neves

Beautiful views accompanied or very delicate wines. Just the perfect combination for the afternoon!

Kelvin Leung

Tesla and sun country chargers at the beginning of the parking lot. Great views and location. Strong marketing. Did the reserve tour. Wines okay. Restaurant quite good.

Kurt Minierva

We’d like to express our gratitude to Tara for curating an unforgettable Mission Hill experience. You went above and beyond during our tour, sharing your passions and knowledge about wine culture. We’re very lucky to have such amazing sommelier during our visit. Special thanks to the sommeliers Ian and Katie for the hospitality at the estate room!

Arshia Mandegarian

Truly overrated, very poor service. They seem rushed and after pushing you to purchase a membership and moving onto the next person to sell more. Honestly other than the beautiful view not much else is special at this winery. Very rude staff, specially the girl at the door in charge of directing people to park. You would assume at a “world class winery” you get treated more with respect and care. The service has changed drastically from previous years, won’t be coming back!

Rachel Humphrey

My husband and I visited Mission Hill Winery for a private tasting and we were absolutely blown away by our experience. Not only was the wine delicious but our guide Carlie was super knowledgeable led us through an incredibly engaging tasting. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Kelowna. We will definitely be back in the future!

Dhanashree Kasbekar

AMAZING environment there. Heard a musician who was playing a song on a guitar. Loved the way they serve you a wine in a glass to taste. Describes you well about winery. Picture clicking spots are nice there... we loved it!!

Ian Kelly

A must stop for visitors to Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley. An absolutely amazing experience all around. The Terroir Syrah is as spectacular as the views. ????

Alvira Plett

Our group did a tasting experience with Emily. She was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us options to suit our individual tastes. She knew the history and story of the winery and made it incredibly interesting for our group. I was so impressed with Mission Hill and especially Emily. Will definitely be back.

Malista Kara McIntyre

Beautiful winery in the Okanagan. Take the time to have a tour and really learn the history of this amazing vineyard and company. Try to come when vines are sprouting (about May long weekend.) Enjoy the tasting room and all the offerings available.

Damian Herman

I've been taking visitors to this winery for 7 years because of how beautilful and grand it is. But the new rules and check-in process here has made it very unwelcoming. You used to be able to walk around and take pictures, enjoy the view, and go at your own pace around the property, gift shop, tasting room, etc. but now when you arrive the staff force you into the gift shop and don't let you walk around anymore. The way the staff are talking about you through their headsets makes you feel like you are under constant surveilance, making the whole experience feel very strange. Overall, the service and experience here has deteriorated so much that I won't ever be coming back or bringing visiting friends and family here. No other winery in West Kelowna treats their guests this way, and all the other wineries in the area are also much cheaper for tastings and merchandise.

Daniela Pilomeno

This place is a must go. The location is beautiful, all the staff is super friendly and professional. Did the wine and cheese tour and loved that it included going down to see the barrels and learning more about the estate itself as well. The pairings were very thought out and our tour guide was fantastic. Unfortunately in our group a family was super loud and disrespectful by talking over her and not listening. It took a bit away from the experience but I felt worse for her.

Paul Ratti

Drinkable wine. Outstanding ambience. Nothing to recommend or write home about. Chaotic restaurant service.

Julian Raveendran

The Mission Hill staff were incredibly helpful. I planned a proposal here followed by lunch. I can’t say enough good things about this winery and restaurant. Very friendly, very professional. Big thank you to Lianna and Brayden for helping coordinate this.

Vin B

Unfortunately without a reservation we were not welcomed to even visit the grounds and take some photos. I can’t say we will ever be back.

Roxanne Greeson

What a wonderful gem. The view is perfection and the sample of Oculus was delicious.

Mars Herbervore

Great history very nice place the tour included 4 very nice wines. A little experience for me though or would have gladly giving 5 stars

10/10

Julia Kalny

Had an amazing time here! Gorgeous location and atmosphere (the view is STUNNING), along with incredible quality food and wonderful staff! Despite being minors, we were still given delicious drinks paired with our meals! Definitely made our time in Kelowna something to remember- can’t wait to come here again! :)

Sales-5SixPhoto

Wife and I had a “Behind Closed Doors” experience, which includes a bite sized food tasting. It was excellent, our host for the tour (Emma) was fun and informative. You can’t help but enjoy the views of the grounds, and the ambience is exceptionally relaxing. Granted we’re tourists from Toronto, but we’d love to come back.

Paul Campbell

Amazing wine and venue!!!

Leo Poon

Came to this location with uncorked wine tour. Reasonable pricing on the entry level wines, bought two boxes for friends and family :) great place to shop around

Sophie Chen

The view is good, but the tasting experience are not. And the wines taste just normal, not worth the price.

Andrea Kennedy

Warm, welcoming staff. Wonderful wines at a range of prices. Stunning views. Knowledgable wine tasting hosts. Good restaurant. And a free EV charger to boot! What's not to love.

alex Jones

I came to buy wine during the day and it was a stunning winery. The bottles of pinot noir were $33. Booked dinner for my fiance and I. It is a sight to see. However, at dinner we ordered 2 glasses of the pinot noir and then the same bottle. When the bill came the wine was $28 for two glasses and the same bottle purchased earlier was now $60. When I questioned the cost the server said it is common to mark up the cost of wine by 50% in a restaurant. First of all this is a 100% markup! Also, This restaurant is in the winery, owned and operated by the mission hill. The food really was nothing special, and the started of asparagus and sweat breads was inedibley salty. it was well overpriced. It is worth it to visit and take a look around because it is magnificent. ...but I wouldn't take my wallet out. In addition, the same bottle of wine van be purchased in Calgary for at most $25.

Elsy Chow

The complete package. Gorgeous Estate! My husband and I had dinner at the Terrace and it was lovely. Fantastic views of the sunset and deer in the vineyard. Food and presentation was great. Wine pairings were very good. Service was excellent. We managed to buy a few bottles but were disappointed to not be able to get in for a tasting over the long weekend. We will definitely return next time.

Kit Armstrong

Great views, but this place is pretentious with mediocre, overpriced wine. There is a snobby attitude about this place. Better to go to the smaller family owned wineries.

Lily Yu

Definitely one of my favourite wineries in the okanagan area! We came here for an engagement lunch and it was lovely. Service and food were magnificent. Would definitely dine here again!

Shane Monastersky

Beautiful place. Called for an appmt in the morning. Went for breakfast then to another winery . Finally went to mission hill and couldnt get in. 45 min later they called us back for an appmt. Over 3 1/2 hrs from original call. Was looking forward to tour taste and buying wine!

James Kelly

Venue is worth seeing because it is unrivalled. The wine is passable, not the best in the area, but still nice to taste if it's not crazy busy. Overall the impression is... positively impressive.

N B

After signing up for the Mission Hill Legacy membership in August and having no confirmation or other communication since, we visited to check on our status. Our guide immediately provided contact info for the membership department and sent the retail manager to find her. There was an error in entering data for the membership and although my contact information was correct, no one followed up to complete billing information that would have activated our membership. No apology but we resolved the issue during our visit and picked up our quarterly installment of wine. Thanks, Bev!!!

Sydney Estrada

We had an amazing time and that our tour guide Kathryn was incredible! She made the whole experience so far beyond worth it and super fun. Thank you so much for a fantastic experience and give Kathryn a raise! :)

James Bailey

Eden was a fantastic sommelier, very friendly, knowledgeable and made the experience unforgettable! Thanks!

Kaitlin Finley

Arrived at Mission Hill, without a reservation (first mistake on our part). Especially with Covid, make sure you do book a reservation. We arrived 45 min after opening and could not get in for a tasting for 4ppl. The vineyards were beautiful, but left early as we could not get in. Very disappointed as staff were not busy, and not providing any wine tastings(supposedly reserved) nor was the winery busy. Wish we had the opportunity to taste their wine, however, found ourselves at Quails and was able to have lunch and book a tasting. ❤️

Ryan Chodola

The grounds were lovely and the tasting bar was a nice treat.

Ali NasirShamsabad

At first glance you think you're entering a mansion, modern and vast. The architecture is awesome and the service is impeccable. About the wine I would say fantastic, specially Jagged Rock Chardonnay and I really enjoyed Halibut.

Bob Thomson

Had a very pleasant lunch. The service, the food and the view made for a very enjoyable outing. We'll be back!

Warren Gibson

Absolutely stunning property, definitely worth stopping in for a visit.

Harp Sandhar

Beautiful location????Great Wine ????, Superb service & amazing lunch! ❤️

S

Fantastic muti course meal with wine pairings. My partner signed up for their club. Very interesting and informative tour.

Max Grenzberg

Mission Hill is a beautiful winery with some great wines. The tasting tour through the property and stunning underground cellar was interesting and worth the price. If I had to say something bad about Mission Hill it would be that some of the staff seem a little pretentious, and others seemed less informed than I would have hoped. The prices for the premium wines are quite high, but that is understandable given the prestige of the winery. Also, be prepared for crowds. There are literally hundreds of guests at the winery during peak hours.

Ted DeRuyter

Wow! What a beautiful place. Fantastic views of Kelowna. Some of the best wines in okanagan valley. A must see.

Sarah Kim

Spending time at Mission hill was the most highlighted one of our first visit to Kelowna. Mom loved the beautiful site. We had dessert and wine at restaurant and adored beautiful view from our table. We really enjoyed sips of terror rose that was recommended by our server, Annabelle. She was friendly and kind. She also made memorable our dining experience at Mission Hill.

Manuel P

AFAIK On the short list of Canada's great wineries

Susanna Mariotti

Too modern and almost fake location, overrated. You have a nice view of the lake and their wineries but that's it. The restaurant was closed in April. They don't allow dogs on their property (Why? All other wineries I've been to were so dog friendly.. Please change your policy)

Nicholas Quintillan

Mission Hill, without a doubt, lives up to its reputation. Opulent, premium, robust, and magical are words to describe this venue and the experience. I've been here at least twenty times over the years and each time they've delivered. The restaurant, location, service, etc. are all excellent. Highly recommended, especially if you're from out of town.

Dee Tee

Went here with my family and had a great experience. It was my first time at a winery and one I will not forget. I especially liked that the winery was based on Roman and Greek architecture, which was seen very evidently throughout the buildings. The tour guide was also very helpful and took many photos for us.

Davis Wong

Had to fight for lakeview seat despite making a reservation...on a Monday. They accommodated us eventually though. Great view. Food was good too. Probably the only restaurant around that could do duck well. Pricey, but with decent portions. Really hot when they decided to open the blinders... The misters didn’t do much unless you were walking down the restaurant because of the hot air moving through. Servers were hit and miss. Some seemed quite cold (our actual server) while others were nice (water refill guy and the person who brought us food). A place to go if you’re trying to impress

Nadia Wiltshire-Brinton

Great winery! Awesome hostess, will definitely recommend the wine tour.

Eric Kai

Mission Hill has so much heritage.

Leah

I wish that I could comment on the wine, however we were told our reservation was lost and they were unable to accommodate. Especially disappointing when my group noted that the tasting area was empty except for one table and there was still 2 hours until close.

Todd Perry

Fantastic muti course meal with wine pairings. My partner signed up for their club. Very interesting and informative tour.

Kimberly Tholl

We were there 30 minutes before closing. One of two tasting bars were closed so all the people were waiting at one side. We waited 10 minutes only were told no more tasting because they were about to close. Advice to management : If you close at 7 please serve your customers until 7, otherwise just say you close at 6:30. Overall stuck up, corporate winery. Customers are not their concern. They seem to get a lot of traffic already, no need to worry about individual customers. If you want an approachable, appreciative winery that has excellent wine, go to The Hatch nearby, night and day customer experience. I cannot recommend Mission Hill and will unlikely return.

Kevin S

Very fancy winery but it’s surprisingly welcoming!

Shawn Kuo

By far the greatest experience I've ever had at a winery. Excellent, caring, and knowledgeable staff serviced our group in the terrace restaurant. Our guided tour with our sommelier, Tara, was a huge positive experience. She was both incredibly friendly and extremely informative about the wines, land, and the process of making wine. She is truly the hot girl queen of Kelownafornia. Our group is also very grateful that Tara, Katie, and Ian allowed us to taste and learn about the Occulus, Compendium, Quatrain, and Perpetua in the Lounge. Thank you guys for everything.

Kelledstyle Blog

We had such a great time at Mission Hill Family Estate! The view and the architecture are stunning. Our experience began at the winery entrance, where we were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine. Then, we were guided to a private cozy living room for a seated tasting of selected Reserve wines showcasing the richness of the Okanagan Valley. At the boutique, we opted for a bottle of 2018 Jagged Rock Vineyard Chardonnay aged in French oak barriques. Can’t wait to open it! For more pictures visit my IG (@kelledstyle) ;-)

Amazing day exploring this fine winery. The tasting room was very nice, with lots of options. Took part in the tasting and my wife truly enjoy their wines. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and experience. Staff was able to provide great insight into the process. Heard about the history of the winery. The tasting room had lots of options for gifts. They had a private room for tasting. The grounds are very well kept. The statues are very nice. The views from the winery was breathtaking. The restaurant was beautiful, with a great view of the lake and mountains. If you can, get the tables facing the lake. We only did the lunch menu. Very nice options and the waiter was great at explaining the dishes. The food came in a timely manner, and never felt rush. The food had great taste, and the flovours are rich. The desserts menu had nice options. One desert was great size for two. Never felt rush to pay our bill. Felt with the cost of dinner and bottles of wine, they could have provide bubble wrap for the transport. The bells sounds great when they go off. There is great parking, and great paths for walking. You can take a tour of the whole winery. From.other guest, they informed us it was worth it.

Justine Diersch

Amazing winery with spectacular views and lots to see and do. Always a great time here. Generous tasting pours and very friendly staff. A bit slow on the till and it gets SUPER busy.

S K

Only my second winery I've ever stepped foot in, as I am not much of a wine drinker. I can't rave enough about how beautiful the grounds and the architecture are. A person could spend hours here wandering the property. Also, the young lady who served me at the tasting bar was so unbelievably nice, as she helped guide me towards the types of wines I might enjoy. If you're like me and have no idea which wineries to stop at, this one is a MUST!

Ozy O

Amazing property with a charming atmosphere. I was a little disappointed by the tour though... We expected to be able to see the production and such but that's not part of the tour. Great experience overall, I recommend!

Emily van Gils

The perfect date night or special occasion location. The property was beautiful and food was spectacular! During Covid 19 they were careful to physical distance without being awkward. Will be going back for a tour since the wine is held in the extinct volcano below the property, a must see!

Ani Si

Mission Hill Winery has the most beautiful view and reminds me much of Europe.. Our sommelier was great and gave us a tour around the facility. We heard before that the wine and everything there was overpriced.. We agree that 15$ for a charcuterie board was too much for what you got and how it was presented. Save the money...

Kohdee Arborgon

High class and very professional

Bradley Jones

Spectacular setting wonderful experience. Nothing beats viewing this majestic winery on a sunny summer day. Situated in west Kelowna this pillar of the Okanagan wine industry is a juggernaut. Take the tour and see the vision of Anthony von Mandl come to life from the cool cavern cellars below that store future gems to the vast courtyard above. Their knowledgeable staff will take you through the wine notes and what makes wines from this valley special. A destination itself ... hats off to the Mission Hill family.

Rybo Chen

Amazing wine tasting! Love the staff and the atmosphere there! The trip to see the special architecture is worth it!

Carmen Lundgaard

Highly recommended. Delicious fine wine, great views, classy establishment. There was some confusion with our reservation times and they still gave us our wine tasting AND a refund!

C B

Amazing and beautiful place!! Awesome food!!

Christine Regan

Bram was absolutely Fabulous as our Sommelier.

Gabriele Tabanelli

Great winery. Elegant, fantastic view and really well maintained. It might look too touristy, but I've enjoyed the experience.

Chef Menajem Peretz

What a place, it is beautiful, the grounds are above anything you expected. I just came here for a short visit and I glad I did, of course have a bit and a glass of wine, but the gift shop is anything but espectacular. Got a few things and I will be back. If you in the area, this is the place to visit

Heidi Easey

I can’t wait to come back here again! Hostesses were very nice and pleasant. Very sophisticated location and place. The place is beautiful and well designed. Its per reservation only and they have lots of options to choose from to what type of activity you’d like to do for a day.

Shayan Bayat

A must visit location in the Okanagan area. If you're lucky like us Patrick will be helping you with your tasting and you'll have an enjoyable and informative tasting experience ????????

Hogeun Kwon

Over priced and rip off Don’t waste your money and time

Paul Breeze

Very good wine and helpful staff.

Chris C.

One of the more upscale wineries in the region. Everything looks lush, sophisticated, with an emphasis on creating an experience. Definitely check out the wine tour here. I enjoyed the tour of the cellar and it was very educational as well. It set the bar quite high for wine tours. If you’re looking for fine wine and dining, and gorgeous scenery, Mission Hill is a must-stop.

Claire Wang

We drop by whenever we are in Kelowna. It's a must do when visiting the area. Iconic architecture and breathtaking views, Mission Hill is definitely one of the best wineries in BC that's not to be missed. If you can get a table at the patio restaurant, do go and enjoy the food/wine pairing. It's addicting. It can get busy at times with lots of tourists and the staffs would seem a bit distracted. Still worth a trip if you have never been though.

Tina Oconnor

Beautiful scenery and architecture! Great experience...

Julien Paton

What a beautitul Scenery directly from the entrance of the winery! Once inside the vibe is just great & the staff are just so attentive to any of our demands. Had a tasting offered by the winery of roughly 10 wines from their quality whites all the way to their top Riesling Ice Wine .. Let's not forget the Red wines who are quite impressive with a great lenght and some solid aging potentiel.

Joe Wadden

Beautiful fall colors and view went with kids well manicured lawns and the roses are still in bloom!

Nic Steinwand

Great wine, beautiful estate, gorgeous view.

David Akermanis

We were 20 minutes late for a tasting we paid for and they wouldn’t accommodate us. Inflexible and rude.

Todd Ness

I brought my girlfriend here last weekend to propose. I wanted it to be a surprise so sent an email to Mission Hill. The manager reached out to me immediately and worked with me on a plan to make it happen. They were beyond amazing for helping me with that. The customer service, dinner and views are unbelievable. Highly recommend to anyone- especially those looking for a romantic evening.

Stella Cho

Great experience from start to finish at Mission Hill. We did the taste of single vineyard wines tour and was impressed by the intimacy of the experience, very private. Wines were incredible.

Atamjit Bassi

So serene, luscious greenery. Great customer service at their wine shop. The staff creates such an experience, instead of adding sales pressure.

Jason Dick

Just finished a tour with Carly. One of the most incredible souls we have ever met. She made our experience feel so personable and went above and beyond our expectations. If you are visiting the area you have to check this place out!

Joanne Dunlop

Loved their Rose. Stand out wine of my trip.

Bofeng Liu

I really love their Syrah! They have a great location!

mobin mehrparvar

if you are visiting Kelowna it's a place where you have to go. although i'm not an expert in wine, i have been to places and i must say it's a place you want to check off your list. The view, the buildings, and the atmosphere is something you don't want to miss.

Alex Passini

Nice winery, a little over commercialized. Good wine.

Eyung G

Great architecture and location, not the best wine. I've heard you need to pay more to taste the premium wines as those are the good ones. Never been impressed by the "less than premium" wines unfortunately. Definitely go here to see the architecture though!

Sherif Tarek

A MUST VISIT IF U R IN BC! very close to Peachland (which is gorgeous). I went there when i traveled to salmon arm....mission hill was a must to pass by. Enjoy the beautiful selection of wine products and the wine making fields.

Suhas Vinchurkar

Our tasting experience at Mission Hill was nothing short of extraordinary. We opted for the private tasting experience and our host Lou-Anne was so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The wines were delicious and we would definitely do this again and recommend as a MUST.

Emily van Gils

Great architecture and location, not the best wine. I've heard you need to pay more to taste the premium wines as those are the good ones. Never been impressed by the "less than premium" wines unfortunately. Definitely go here to see the architecture though!

Dondi Atienza

Online pick up is fast. Just missed booking a wine tasting.

Karim Nahed

Great view, pricey tasting but worth it for the setting and the wine selection. Good shop.

Erin Graves

Beautiful place with amazing staff

Lynette Meek

Breathtaking architecture that takes full advantage of the location and frames the Okanagan lake view perfectly. I took the Sommelier guided tour of the winery and had the opportunity to view the barrel strorage area; try 4 different wines and learn about the history of the wines and the wine making family. The tasting room was active with guests and staff discussing the wines and the different vintages. All questions were answered and our experience exceeded our expectations.

Jane Lee

Stunning property, beautiful views, and great hospitality. Did “tasting of the towers” and we had a guide walk us through each wine - she was lovely.

Philipp Kundert

Had an amazing private tasting

Mary Karmelle Del Rosario

Beautiful place, stunning view of the vineyard. But we were asked to leave because we have a dog. There was no sign anywhere that dogs weren't allowed in the property. If there was, we would not even go there in the first place. The person …

Eric F. Altamirano

The most beautiful winery in BC. We made our way up without a reservation and sadly they were completely booked due to Covid. However the lovely young lady at the check point said we could make our way up and have a welcome taste after seeing how disappointed we were. She radioed over that a party of four without a reservation would be coming up. We parked and headed over to the area where wine club members were getting their free taste. I guess because you did need a reservation or be a WC member to have a little pour of rosé the server was very perplexed over who told us we were welcome. She was pretty adamant that this couldn’t be possible. Despite this and the few awkward moments that followed, we were very appreciative for the original invitation in despite being completely booked. I wish I knew her name because she and the beauty of the entire grounds saved this review. Hopefully we will be able to comeback with a reservation and give a full 5 stars on our next trip up. Almost forgot about the wine...The two sips we sampled were absolutely perfect as I do love a brut anything, the bottle was $35.

Eric F. Altamirano

Great winery with luxury and good wines.

Anthony Benel

Excellent selection of wine. The courtyards are very nice. I could not try the restaurant since we did not make a reservation.

Derek McIntosh

If you plan on doing a few wine tours in the Kelowna area, save the best one for last. By far the nicest location, layout, and architecture. The atmosphere was very good. It will not disappoint. If you only plan to do one wine tour in the Kelowna area, this is the one.

Phillip Ma

Plenty of space but no room for a tasting. What a complete waste of time for wine available in any liquor store. Skip the vineyard and just roll the dice on getting a bad bottle at a liquor store.

Sasha Rudenko

It was our first time at the winery and having heard a lot about Mission Hill we were very excited. The estate is considered to be one of the higher end wineries and naturally we expected the same level of service. It was quite disappointing however. The young folks at the entrance were lovely and we appreciated the complimentary rose, so thank you for that. We were then escorted to meet the girl who would do our tasting. Her name was Trista. To be honest, I’ve never had a tasting experience that poor. She was very quiet, unenthusiastic and responded with “well it’s just Pinot Gris, nothing else” to my attempt to ask her to tell us a little bit about the wine we were tasting. I don’t necessarily expect a high grade sommelier to be doing our tastings, but I think some basic knowledge about the estate, the wines and the proper way to experience them is to be expected at a tasting, especially at Mission Hill. Trista also kept looking at her watch and looking a little bit irritated, which also made us feel like we weren’t very welcome and a bit rushed. Will not be coming back.

Heron Free

Wonderful experience. I would define Mission Hill as the ideal winery and dining experience. Visit this one on your next wine tour as a classic bit modern option. The finishing up with their great coffee and macaroons was wonderful.

Daniel Carroll

Very nice tour, extremely knowledgeable and friendly sommelier. Recommend to tour the vignard in summer however to better see the grounds. Excellent wine and cheese tasting. Highly recommended.

Carolina Collao

Always soooo beautiful! Even just for a walk. No dogs allowed. The store is currently open but wine tasting is only with reservation

terry de vaz

Beautiful setting in the Okanagan Valley, very scenic, wine tasting and tour was good, wine store had a large variety of wines and other food. Very well designed interior!

Kevin Kulczycki

Mission Hill is a beautiful Vineyard and Winery located in West Kelowna overlooking Okanagan Lake. We loved the architecture, green grass and the awesome view. The custom made bells in the bell tower sound incredible in the afternoon. The tour is very good and is topped of with some fantastic private stock red and white!

Claudia Blust

Beautiful Winery no doubt. Was SUPER disappointed with the treatment to just get a glass of wine and bite to eat on the patio. The Waitress/hostess Liana was super rude when she looked at our appearance with the sudden judgement and didn't want any part of us coming in to enjoy the view. ALSO it was mid day and there was barely anyone on the patio. (we are two 22 year old girls who live in Vancouver who came up for a wine tour weekend and to spoil ourselves) We were wine touring around the area and exploring and wanted to enjoy the view from up top for a late lunch and she looked at us as if we weren't going to pay? It felt as if we weren't worthy of their service. Felt really awkward and stupid for trying? She ignored our request and moved on and just helped the next couple in line who looked wealthy and "willing to pay" and let them right through with the same request. Was defiantly a downer for the day since we work really hard and wanted to splurge that weekend, being one of the places we wanted to enjoy and indulge, and it was a slap in the face. Will only tell people to go to see the sights but don't bother eating or wine tasting service is uptight and rude.

Andrew Edwards

Really nice wine. A must go place in Kelowna.

Foam Fighters

Love, love Mission Hill! Had a tour and our guide was amazing! Wine, food and view was breathtaking.

Hannah Sell

Beautiful views and great wine, my favourite was the Riesling.

Shayan Jalali

The winery tour was top notch. Highly recommend.

Jenny Wang

Overrated view and wine. Too crowded. However, you must give them kudos for providing premium parking spots for environmentally-friendly cars (hybrid and electric).

Dawid Spamer

Mission Hill is situated in the heart of Kelowna and in one of yhe most pristine places within British Columbia and Canada. The building and estate surroundings are breath taking and a must visit if you can. Mission Hill has a wide range of wines and best known for their reds especially their Reserve Pinot Nior. They do have a single cask Chardonnay that I will highly recommend as well. Mission Hill is one of the best wineries in the Okanagan and Canada.

Robert Jirava

This place is worth checking out even if you don't know anything about wine. The facility is grand - grandiose! - but the taste employed in the design is superb. The buildings really compliment the site: architect Tom Kundig knew what he was doing. We had a great time tasting wines, and they had to get out some artillery because we had a European wine connoisseur with us. They lived up to the promise in every way. I will return here again!

Billy Baldwin

Loved the amazing tasting rooms!

Alexandre Arsenault

What a wonderful experience, I definitely recommend the A Lasting Legacy experience if you can afford it. Emma has been a terrific guide! Food and wine was amazing.

Jeremy S

Beautiful views and great place to check out. A bit of a factory winery but still great to visit

Joseph Peterson

A bit too busy for us with all the huge amount of people there on bus trips, very nice setting, we prefer the smaller wineries where you can get some unique wines. Mission Hill is probably the biggest winery in Kelowna.

Stephanie D

Bridget is the best! We were on our wine tour with West Kelowna Wine Tours and Mission Hill was our 4th stop and the best all because of Bridget. She made the tasting experience the best. We learned so much from her. Not to mention, she is an absolute sweetheart and is so happy all the time. Thank you Bridget for making our experience at Mission Hill the best of the day. Hoping to stop by again and requesting her for another tasting!

Gary Bettman

Absolutely gorgeous winery with breathtaking views and some of the best wine you could ever drink !

Michael Y

Great tour with very passionate and knowledgable staff. The property is gorgeous.

Antonio Zumbo

The cellar tour was both interesting and interactive paired with the wine tastings. I would recommend making a reservation before attempting to go to Mission Hills restaurant "The Terrace".

Dariush Adim

Great

Hockey Mom

We visit here everytime we are in Kelowna, top notch service and wine. Staff are very helpful and the estate itself is breathtaking.

Wonderful

Mary Ann Tablanza

BAD EXPERIENCE...we're booked July 06 @ 6:30 p.m. when we get there the guest service staff told us that we we're booked on July 08 @ 6:30 so they didn't accomodate us ..but I got an e-mail confirmation for July 06 @ 6:30..they gave our spot to accomodate other group..and please don't tell me to call or e-mail..we already did CHECK MY e-mail and my friend called you not just twice but hundreth times.

Sunil Nair

Beautiful place. Great wine tasting experience with proper explanation. Professional and caring staff. Will be back here for sure.

Paul W. Smith

Enjoyed an amazing cooking demo and wine pairing last night with Chef Alan and team. Great food and excellent wines. Many thanks Mission Hill

Gerald Feather

I dont drink, but for the scenary and the view it's definitely worth the trip.

Mark S

Excellent food and service served in a stunning location.

Vaughan Rose

Really nice view and good spot to stop by. It is nice to see how Canadian are take care of the winery. I really want to do the winery tour, but we can’t really do anything with the COVID. Hopefully later. We bought one bottle of wine, haven’t try it yet, but will write a review about it later. Vintage Louis Vuitton Case

S “a” L

Just a driver today. I drive for A1 Limousine , I didn't go in but it nice when a place has WiFi so you can save your data band.

Leanne Young

Beautiful location????Great Wine ????, Superb service & amazing lunch! ❤️

Brittany

Have visited a few times with my fiancé and his parents and it’s a very beautiful location. Great views!

Danny Wong

Always a pleasure to dine here.

Curtis Pel

So good. If you ever have a chance to tour, eat or just visit this winery, do it.

Kendra Melanson

We did multiple tastings in the area over a few days, and this was definitely the best. The experience felt very personalized and staff were friendly and shared a lot of information about the wines and the wine-making process. It is an expensive place, but the grounds are beautiful (feel like you are in Europe or the Mediterranean) and the wine is very good. We reserved our tasting about a week in advance and there was only one time slot left, so booking in advance is needed. I would recommend Mission Hill to anyone going to the Okanagan area!

Helena Biasibetti Brendler

Absolutely scenic views. The architecture is something completely different from other places I've seen in the region. In the wine tasting tour you get to try some exceptional wine. I was even able to see some deer in the property. Very cool experience.

Kirsten Holle

Great experience! Mikayla guides us through the tasting - she was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable on the wine and tasting notes. Will be returning for sure :)

Trevor Prosser

EDIT: Came back for a second look a year later, and what a difference! These beautiful buildings overlook a stunning background! A must see location if you're coming to taste wines in Kelowna - or just want to see what all the fuss is about! Come early in the day for the views, as this place can get pretty busy, and watch for events that could cause even more congestion. We were told their outdoor concert space can hold 800-900 people! PREVIOUS REVIEW: A beautiful space! If you want to see it when it's not too crowded, the key seems to be going early in the morning on an incredibly smokey day. It does make for quite the sight, as the vineyards fade off into the smoke.

Cameron Penner

My wife and I visited Mission Hill Winery as part of our honeymoon and had the. Best. Time. We sprung for the legacy tour and honestly felt it was worth every penny. Our guide and sommelier, Matt, was phenomenal - super friendly and knowledgeable and gave us so many interesting insights about the wines we had as well as Mission Hill itself (he was also very generous with his pours! ;D). The five course meal with wine pairings we got as part of our tour was also sublime. All in all, it was a highlight of our honeymoon and we can't recommend it enough! Even if you just visit the grounds and try a glass of wine or two, it's worth it if you're ever in Kelowna!

MR Batman

Great place !!!!!! Elizabeth was such a amazing tour guide will come back again because of her

Meena Gill

Amazing wine, good atmosphere, beautiful views. Definitely blows a lot of the wineries out of the water when it comes to grandeur. Maybe a bit to big? A bit too busy? Anyways the wines are great. Had a good time with my family.

Karine Desrosiers

Awesome experience Bev guided us for the tasting and she is really good!

Lisa Ishizaki

Beautiful vineyard and winery! The tour is a must, and the wine paired dinner was absolutely stunning and delicious.

Mark Nielsen

Staff was friendly and helpful as always and property is just as beautiful in the fall as it is in the summer.

Rahim

Amazing views and architecture. Lots of history for those who are interested. Jody and Kelsey were excellent hostesses. I would highly recommend this winery for anyone who is interested in wine tasting, views, history, art or architecture.

Braanna Kunz

Nice venue. Unfriendly staff . Overpriced wine tastings. $8.00 for 3. They don't allow you to wear anything that shows a celebration , ie sash saying happy birthday etc. Didn't end up staying to busy. I'll buy the wine on my own and taste it then in my birthday stash

Michael

Unbelievably AMAZING!! This was one of the most incredible dining, wine tasting experiences of our 20 year globe travelling journey. We did the private wine tasting, cellar visit tasting menu with wine parings. What a place and what an experience and worth every penny. The wines were very good and the food was SPECTACULAR!! Our Sommelier Shae Wiggins was knowledgeable and enthusiastic as was our server Maddy. We will be counting the days until our return to Mission Hill. Thank you to all the staff and owner.

Marieta C.

It was built with love and determination. Classy, peaceful and great wine.

Emelda Santo Tomas

One of the best wine I ever had and the place was relaxing❣

Cecilia Teixeira

Beautiful winery with excellent views and great wines. Depending on your credit card you may have access to a private wine tasting tour that comes free of charge. Make sure you ask at the reception, it’s really great. This is one of prettiest wineries in the region.

Tricia McCurdy

Extremely rude tasting bar staff! I was so upset I didn't buy anything and purchased elsewhere instead!

Suze Bee

We had a tasting in the Osoyoos Room and it was amazing. Angel provided this guided tasting and was incredible!

Gariba Ibrahim

Best Winery in Kelowna, loved the service and meals.

Chandana Siriwardana

Great vineyard to taste good quality vine. Located in a scenic place in Kelowna BC

Daniela Chan Viquez

Beautiful place with great views. The tasting prices are very affordable as well as the wines. Good costumer service.

Jeremy Rahn

Our time at Mission Hill was great! We really enjoyed the scenery and atmosphere. The view was stunning from all angles. Dinner and the wine was very delicious! Portions were a little small for us and we still felt a little hungry when we were done. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed eating dinner with a view and hearing the bell go off every 15 mins. Overall, we had an awesome time here and would love to come back in the future!

Natalia

Had the best experience with Stasya. She is great guide. Excellent person with positive vibes who can explain all history of vine, processes of vine preparation and answer all tricky questions. We had a great experience in tasting: private room for group with antique ambience. It was more than we could expect. Thank you! Great wine and winery. Strong recommendation ????

Jennifer McCloskey

Our favourite winery in Kelowna! truly a treat with magnificent views and a great selection of wine! we definitely recommend you take advantage of the tour it is very informative and interesting. My husband and I consider Mission Hill our go to spot for brunch in the summer and have continuously enjoyed their menu items and wine pairing. We would definitely recommend this winery for locals and tourists, its a must visit

Helen Edley

If you're travelling with a pet be prepared to be asked to get them off the property. Not just off the grass or outside of the tasting room but remove them entirely from the mission hill. Our group of 11 left to visit another winery, rather than leave our dog in a hot car as suggested by the staff. I guess these guys don't take part in the winery dogs welcome experience. There's so many great wineries that do welcome the family pooch with a nice cool tile floor, water and treats, but Mission Hill isn't one of them.

Stephanie Jackson

Beautiful, peaceful, an oasis + good wines

Lori Forrest

Loved it!!!! Best meal we had in Kelowna. Really really well done!

Reinhardt Redelinghuys

We did a wine tasting and tour here. What a place! Beautiful!

Gerard Pietrykiewicz

Overall this place is amazing, beautiful building in a great scenery. Store inside is really nice too. Wine of course is great, but I guess that's for you to find out. I deducted one star as this is one place where you will have entire families come in and with all the kids running around it is loud there, which distracts from the experience.

Jaqueline M. Echavarria

Amazing wine experience.

Danielle McCreary

My friend and I went to Mission Hill for the Estate Room Tasting Experience with Matthew the sommelier. He went above and beyond with his courteous demeanour and expertise, this felt like such a special and once in a lifetime experience and we cannot wait to return!

Kitty

The whole experience was amazing. Our group of 6 had booked an reservation for the terrace lunch, from the moment you stepped in, you can feel the amazing service from the team. The food was amazing, the service was good. I would highly recommend them.

Laura L

We came at 6:20PM and we were not able to have a tasting. The signs indicated the winery closed at 7PM. Very unimpressed.

Bryan Young

Extremely poor experience. We were denied tasting any wines even though I had already bought several wines from the shop because we didn't "have a reservation"...and were rushed to leave the property. Hosts came off with a very pretentious vibe & were super unfriendly and uninviting. Based on the other poor reviews, if you have a dog or don't have a reservation, don't expect to be treated like a human and be shooed off the property asap. As others have said, it is truly an overrated winery. Just look at their generic responses to those who had poor experiences. EDIT: their Guest Experience Director followed up with me and was extremely professional and helpful with addressing my concerns that occurred during my visit. Kudos to Craig for his kind gestures.

Jerome Sweet

The winery itself is absolutely beautiful, unbeatable views. Lots of good picture spots. Sadly the wine isn't anything special and the gift shop prices are incredibly insane. Ill be back for sure but mainly for the view.

Stephen Franchuk

Beautiful winery! Great views and lots of selection.

James A

Id like to give a shout out to Mission Hill for being the proper Rolls Royce of Winery's! I had received a call from the Director of Hospitality - Craig, who stepped in to handle a small speed bump in my online order, absolutely cleared that smoke and represented the company in a respectful manor. Thank you to Craig and to the entire Mission Hill team on taking care of your customers and providing Canada's tastiest wine! -Fan for life.

Elias Cuervo

Never again. Stuck up attitude from the staff. Not interested in one on one interaction with individual customers. They seem to be happy to have "the cattle - like" crowds that don't bother them too much. Buy the (not so great) wine and move along. Never again!

Pongo

Pros: + Unbeatable view; arguably the best in the Kelowna + Beautiful architecture Cons: - Way too commercialized. Prices are steep (for both tasting and actual bottle sales). - Servers are either too busy or rude. Unlike other wineries, Mission Hill does a rather poor job explaining the nuances of the wines you try. TL;DR: Mission Hill got too famous, and has become sort of a tourist trap. Great visuals, but substance is lacking.

גל נפתלוביץ'

Beautiful winery. Professional tour. Beautiful view.

Alex

Amazing food, view and overall experience. BUT: can get pretty crowded, make sure you make reservations

greedy elc

Too many restriction for such a huge, beautiful winery. Couldn’t even let us go in and see. Not much information on the website neither, so you literally have to drive there to be told that you can not even go in to see what’s inside, without booking any tastings ahead. A bit disappointed, plus the lady and guy, who were greeting us, were too busy showing off, rather then trying to explain things nicely to us ???? the lady didn’t even know the prices of their wines lol.

Bianca Bilt

We were recommended to go here by many people and the grounds are as beautiful as described. I must highlight however, the fact that we were not allowed to sit on the restaurant patio with a glass of wine without everyone in the party ordering food. Instead they offered a 10$ corkage fee to open the bottle of wine that we had already purchased after our tasting. We purchased 2 bottles of wine - 1 of which went bad (2016 Pinot Noir). This winery was also the most expensive wine tasting out of the 8 wineries we visited. Unfortunately, we cannot say our experience with Mission Hill was as good as others may describe however, not the worst either. Cheers!

Arash Salamati

This place looks like an art project from a 100 years ago. It's almost a sin talking about it too much.. is absolutely beautiful and everyone should go see it

Marco Maranao

Beautiful place. Plenty of delicious wine choices.

Edgar Ignacio

the scenery is breathtaking

Huiyang Xu

winery with beautiful view. But the service is not very good

ME

This was one of our best days out whilst visiting Canada, we did a taste of the vineyard tour and the guide was very informative and knowledgeable, we were all amazed at the difference in flavours after having something to eat that complemented the wine. Would highly recommend as long as you are over 21.

Colin McGuinness

classic and upscale winery with amazing views

Remi Jr. Ojo

This place is crazy and the grounds are stunning! Would be perfect for a wedding! The staff are super kind and accommodating

Terra Bouvier

Amazing what a gorgeous Easter weekend day! Always excellent service and so many wonderful wines to taste. Love being a member

Katie H

Pretty views but not the most approaching winery we visited during our time in Okanagan. Seemed a little pretentious for our liking however maybe that's the kind of clientele they're looking to attract! To each their own!

Jonathan Steele

The tasting here can go towards the purchase of a minimum of 2 bottles of wine

E C

Visit this winery in July 2014 for a tour and dinner at their restaurant. The tour was interesting. The best part was the dinner on the outdoor patio with views over Okanagan Lake. The food was very good and well prepared. Reservations needed.

Nobu Mafu

By far the best wine tasting experience we had in Kelowna. Our guide Bri was knowledgeable and very passionate about the wines and her presentation skills were phenomenal. Her personality was warm and inviting from the moment we arrived, and we left with a few new favorites. The grounds themselves are amazing, with breathtaking views. We visited the winery on a beautifully mild winter day which was less busy than summer allowing us to enjoy the property almost privately. We'll definitely be returning in the summertime for the full experience and your of the grounds.

Jacob Shin

It was a perfect experience, worth every penny!

Rudi Heider

did the private Estate lunch. It was an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Shawn Joshi

Great wines. Their restaurant offers a unique experience with stunning views, wine pairings, and mouth-watering dishes.

Darryl Lim

Easily one of the best dinners I’ve had. They were extremely professional, helpful and knowledgeable about the food and wine. The view was amazing and I would definitely recommend

J Gye

The last time we were in Mission Hill was in 2016, our daughter was one, she is now five. Made a reservation for lunch and it was amazing! Great staff, excellent wine (husband voice) and delicious meal.

akash gaikwad

Amazing views with a touch of great architecture. If you are into wines I will suggest you to take one of their wine tours. Matt from their team took us for the tour and he was knowledgeable and friendly. Keep it up mission hill team.

Sean O'Hair

Beautiful place to visit. The view was amazing.

Hana Čižmařová

Place with great atmosphere. We did degustation tour wit food pairing and it was definitely worth the money! Great wine, food, service. Tour guide was kind and funny!

Ally McLennan

A wonderful luxurious tasting experience! The grounds are fabulous, beautiful, and have a great view. We signed in for our tasting reservation (you will need a reservation!), and were promptly whisked away into a palatial living room with comfy sofas (and air-conditioned!), wines already set out to breathe beforehand (not many wineries do this). Our sommelier led the tasting, pointing out flavour notes and describing the terroir and some vineyard history. We had the luxury of time to sip and enjoy each wine - the experience was unhurried. 5 wine samples for a $30 tasting fee included one of the premium top-tier wines from their library, in this case an 8-year old red blend.

ProPearlMakeup

Lovely location staff is extremely friendly really good experience. The place is beautiful a most do in the city !!! This was the second winery we try in Kelowna and absolutely delicious and beautiful. The first one was Quails Gate little more snobby in my opinion and the staff is a little more rude ! So Yeap love my experience here I’ll come back here in a heartbeat!! Recommend it !!

Grahame Thompson

Very impressive winery. A very up-market location, together with appointments which underpins high quality and value. The wine tasted was exquisite and the varietelles were fullsome in flavour despite some of a younger age! Impressed with the team that served us, including the young lady who was passionate about the differences in the sparkles, white and red offered. You shouldn't miss this winery, it is a must visit! Congrats guys!..

Ashley McPherson

Went for a tasting with my inlaws. Was a lovely experience. The individual who hosted our tasting was very informative and knew the wine very well. I loved the ambiance, it was very cozy yet elevated. So much to peruse in the store as well. Would love to come back again.

Justine Davis

First time visiting and definitely won't be our last. Had a wonderful experience doing the private lunch at the estate. Our guide Hudson was INCREDIBLE! Such an awesome guy, he really went above and beyond to make our day special. Thanks to everyone at Mission Hill for an unforgettable experience!!

Enaiyat Ghani Ovy

This is a great place for local wines. The natural view of this area is also awesome. There is nice a dinning centre too. We liked to spend our times there.

Skicy6

Great view. Has wine tasting that can be redeemed towards your purchase. The wine price is actually a little expensive, but acceptable.

yovanka adanic

Food was amazing ! Booked a lunch and was a fabulous 3 hours of amazing food with wine parings ! Very Covid safe ! I never seen this place so quiet ! We spent 45 minutes in the gift shop and barely seen over 6 people ! The service was amazing as well ! They were training a man and I had to of them for the 3 hours ????! Will defiantly book a dinner next visit !

Marisa Dario

Our afternoon at Mission Hill was most enjoyable. Our host Phoebe took us for a tour of the stunning property and down into the wine cellar before bringing us to our seated tasting. Lovely wines paired with delicious bites in a cozy elegant room with a blazing fire. Superb beginning to our Valentines weekend. Thank you Phoebe!! ❤️????❤️

Tony Kam

Seeing of the winery is beautifully laid out and a delight to wander around taking in the spectacularly views. The wines for trading however were imo a mixed assortment from the pleasant (Riesling and Shiraz) to the very dry (Merlot) while the ice wine at $54.99 a bottle was sickly sweet. Each to their own.

Bridget Benoit

Breathtaking views, fabulous restaurant and stellar wines.

Pascale Arès

Beautiful place to visit and take picture. Had a wine tasting and the staff is very friendly and informative.

Arthur Jin

Local wine. Live music. Weddings. Vines. It's very nice here. The environment is very clean and all the grounds are kept tidy. It has a nice piece of history as well.

Reza Asefi

Place with great atmosphere. We did degustation tour wit food pairing and it was definitely worth the money! Great wine, food, service. Tour guide was kind and funny!

Nicolette Thiel

Please put on your answering machine that you are reservation only at this point. Drove all the way to the winery and called before hand to check. No one answered the phone.

loco249 249

The winery tour was well done and the tour guide(Kim?) was very knowledgeable. The grotto was breathtaking however the tastings were small.

Jaime Anne

Enjoyed a private tasting experience. We did 11 tastings at different wineries over 3 days and Mission Hill was the best experience. It started with a small tour of the entry way, a short film on the history and then the tasting. It is a beautiful winery. The woman who led the tasting was very knowledgeable and said she’d worked there for 20 years. They made us feel so welcome and we decided to join their wine club! Looking forward to our next visit.

O Nizami

Great architecture and beautifully built but went at opening time and only got to retail store with nothing much to offer that is not avaliable at your local wine store. It was off season so expected this. However most visited in bc

Evelyn Lu

Beautiful estate. Busy as always, but customer service was superb. Noah from the gift shop was extremely helpful.

Sheida

If you are in Kelowna and want to check out wineries, you MUST go to Mission Hill. It is the most beautiful winery in Kelowna by far. The views are stunning and the wine is delicious. Only recommendation, during covid, is to make sure you reserve your wine tasting in advance! The restaurant is also a great spot for lunch and nice views!!

Anisha N

We had a large group tasting today and had Emily as our sommelier - she was fantastic ! She worked really hard to find the right wines for our group and did not disappoint ! Looking forward to having her again !

Corey Forman

Beautiful views, friendly service, great wines.

Kettle River Timberworks

Beautiful grounds and view but the tasting experience was disappointing. We tried to engage the server to discuss the wines. She seemed disinterested or ignorant. We chose not to purchase any wines and drove down the road to Quails Gate and the Hatch where we had great services and purchased a couple of bottles from each.

Spectacular views, wines and service!

Kelsey Christal

We will never forget our visit to Mission Hill. The winery is absolutely beautiful and the perfect place to take pictures! It was raining outside so the employees gave us an umbrella to walk around!! Our tasting was so much fun. Noah was very knowledgeable and friendly. He knew we didn't know much about the wines so he explained the wines in ways we understood and answered all our questions. He was honest about his recommendations and we ended up getting 3 bottles. I hope when we come back we can do another tasting with him or try the tasting with food!

One of the more upscale wineries, Mission Hills offers stunning architecture and amazing views of the lake. It is one of the most developed Winery locations for the region with lots of land to simply explore separate from your wine tasting. Is the most expensive out of the areas I have explored in West Kelowna but they give generous pours if you're splitting with another person. There is a nearby restaurant / Bistro if you are hungry however they tend to be booked up for dinner so make a reservation in advance if you are interested. They have seats right next to the view overlooking the lake.

Melissa Lynn Sharp

Gorgeous location and beautiful wine, but I was so disappointed by our experience. We booked a nice sit down tasting and were rushed through it in military fashion by a stern staff member who continuously pointed at her watch, telling us exactly how much time we had remaining. At the end, we were told to leave even though we hadn't tried each of the wines in front of us. It was stressful and a wet blanket on what could have otherwise been a perfect experience. Not sure I will give them my time in the future.

Stephen Maser

The winery is an absolute must see however the wine is overpriced for what you're getting. To see an event there it is worthwhile however again, the price tends to be on the high side. My experience with the restaurant has been very mixed but friends have greatly enjoyed it.

Armin Bahramshahry

Horrible service, nothing the wine makes up for.

Frances Moini

A must visit if you're here in Kelowna. Excellent variety of wines. Excellent customer service. I've been here 6 times now and Ive never been dissapointed. Gorgeous views. Cool history. Tasty wine. What more can you ask for?

Don Singer

The winery is definitely worth stopping in to visit. Beautiful setting on the hill with stunning lake views. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there during the covid shutdown so not much going on. Will be back again to take in the tours! At very least some nice pictures on a beautiful day and the grounds to ourselvea.

James Playden

The view of the lake and surrounding vineyards is spectacular even before tasting fabulous wines.

Matt Compton

An amazing view and estate! Wine was great too and all of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Peter Kim

It’s great place to visit for tourists who are interested in wine. Canadian wine is not so popular in Asia and it is a good chance for asian people to taste this local beautiful wine with reasonable cost!!

Levowitz

Pompous, plain and simple. Watch out for the rude short old lady doing tastings.

Rick Weber

Overpriced and pretentious. The beef neck was okay, but a bit dry. Serving sizes are tiny which would be fine if the food was excellent but it wasn't.

Larry Musser

Beautiful Facility with wonderful views and very fine wine tasting & sales

Tom Irwin

Always one of the best. Helped me out with my engagement. Definitely check it out!

Lester Lu

Beautiful winery with amazing sceneries. Too bad the service was terrible hence the 2 stars.

Lianne B.

Amazing venue, delicious wines, knowledgeable and helpful staff!

Cheryl Swihart

This was a beautiful winery. Well worth seeing. The people were very friendly. We didn't have time to eat but the food smelled amazing.

Thomas Shajan

Great place to get excited in Kelowna in whatever season you wanna have some fun and some great experience. Also, look out for Monica the awesome and fantastic girl who showed us around, very knowledgeable and extremely professional and friendly.

Violeta Patricia Saavedra Sanchez

Awesome place! I highly recommend to visit there!

adithelionheart adi

Good place, clean, good managed

Rena Tabata

One of my favorite spots for wine tours, purchasing wine and wine related accessories, and for bringing friends and family who have never visited the area.

Reyanna Nicolas (Reyanna)

I can’t wait to come back here again! Hostesses were very nice and pleasant. Very sophisticated location and place. The place is beautiful and well designed. Its per reservation only and they have lots of options to choose from to what type of activity you’d like to do for a day.

Barry Wellman

Thank you for your free and prompt shipping to Ontario. We've always loved your Pinot Gris and were delighted to get it reasonably promptly

Tiffany Candia

My daughter and I's favorite winery in the Province of British Columbia. My daughter and I when we lived in the Okanagan use to frequently Dine here often. It is by far the most beautiful winery and it has the best views in the area.

Howard Ashmore

At first the estate seemed unwelcoming and stuck-up, but after spending some time on the grounds, in the tasting room and Salon, I came to appreciate the hard work, thought and permanence of the architecture. Hundreds of cubic yards of …

Lauren Mcgregor

I absolutely love everything about this place. A great place to dine and wine taste on a special occasion, or just walk through and take in the spectacular views, grand architecture and amazing art. What an amazing way to spend a day

Alannah Banovac

We booked the "A Lasting Legacy" package where we got a guided tour with our sommelier Tara, followed by a guided wine and food pairing 4-course dinner. First of all, we are novices when it comes to wine and we had a lot of questions for our sommelier who was incredibly welcoming right from the get-go and was also very knowledgable. She answered all of our questions with enthusiasm and we could tell that she really loves her job. The tour was also very personal because we didn't have to share our sommelier with anyone! It was a private tour and we were shown around the vineyard, bell tower, and drank wine straight from the barrel in the underground barrel cellar. It was such an eye-opening experience and we learned so much about wine-making and the different varieties of wines. Then we got to the food at Terrace Restaurant, every course was divine! Intricate, thoughtful, and inspiring dishes that were beautifully plated. Tara also explained the wine pairing for each course and it definitely enhanced our dining experience. We ended the evening with a walk around the grounds and the views were spectacular. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we would highly recommend it to anyone who has a curiosity or interest in wine and divine food.

Laurene Maloney

Went for a tasting.. amazing .. Monica did a great job on her descriptions of their wines.

Abbys Ford

Enjoyed their wine tasting tour, the food and service at the restaurant and the view! A must visit place in Kelowna!

Jon Botterill

Spectacular show with David Foster!!! Staff was wonderful

Jasmine L.

Unforgettable views. Wine tasting was informative but fun! This place made me fall in love with Kelowna even more . Thanks for the great service !

James Shanahan

Lovely experience. Food was a little pricey for the options, but delicious. Wines are great and staff were helpful

Thao Tran

The most beautiful winery in Kelowna! I would like to comeback in nearly future. Everything looks so nice and luxurious! We didn't book for a tour cause we didn't know exactly when we were here. We will do it next time then.

Simon Ledsham

Unforgettable experience in a beautiful winery. The Lasting Legacy experience isn't cheap, but it's well worth it, considering the price of having supper at any winery in the area. Not only did Shae make us feel like VIPs the whole evening, but the tour was a lot of fun and the wines and food were superb. In particular, we were happy to get a chance to try their Cab Franc directly from the barrel. The cherry on top was when we found out that the dinner at the end wasn't a mere tasting menu, but a full 5-course affair with unlimited top-ups of their great wine! It really allowed us to properly taste their different offerings (and not to mention have a blast).

Trevor Wells

As always, spectacular grounds, great service and excellent wines. Does not get any better!

이Mic

Huge and beautiful Winery place. A lot of visitors here.

David Del Sacramento

This place is amazing! It is a must to visit if you are in Kelowna or in Vernon. Wines are so good and you can do a wine testing for $10

Antonio Vendramin

Hit only The Terrace restaurant, but the place is beautiful and magical as the sun sets, the lights illuminate, and the bells ring. Wonderful food and service in the restaurant with awesome views! Would come again!!!

Laurie Dolinsky

The wine and experience at Mission Hill never disappoints!

Kristofer Bampton

gorgeous place, extremely knowledgeable staff, and awesome tasting wine. Tours highly recommended.

1dbvvdb1

Cool property, alone this is enough to visit. I like the wines but it can sometime be overwhelmingly busy. Bring your camera!

Shaun Guthrie

A lot of the reviews show Mission Hill to be pretentious, however don't mistake that for pride. This is a beautiful place with a very well respected Canadian winery that has great wine. You'll fine pretentious people in any fine dining or high quality restaurant or winery anywhere. We've been many times and have had nothing but the best experience without feeling like we were not welcome. Give props where props are due. I highly recommend a discovery tour.

Alexis MacMillan

No Okanagan wine tour is complete with a visit to Mission Hill. You can see the Mission Hill tower from across the lake in Kelowna, or from many vantage points in West Kelowna. The grounds include a number of sculptures amidst the vines. In the summer you can dine at their open air restaurant (get reservations!) or take in a concert. If the Wine Education Centre is open, take a look at Animal Tales, by Marc Chagall, one of 29 tapestries ever made by the Russian artist. Their wine has a variety of price points. My favourites are their reserve Chardonnay and Cab Sav, and if you really want to buy something special Compendium or Oculus (or Checkmate!).

Ankur Sharma

One of the best wineries! If you visit Kelowna, this is highly recommended.

Abhishek Maheshwaram

One of the most beautiful wineries I have visited so far. It is located not too far from Kelowna City Center. The whole area of the winery is huge. As we enter, we can see fields of Grape plantation. The winery also has beautiful construction. We did not plan our visit ahead of time, and so we missed the Guided Tours. Most areas are closed for people who have signed up for guided tours. The Tasting Lunge has 2 sections. On the left, they offer 4 wines (2 Red and 2 White) for $10. On the right, there are more expensive wine tastings. We tried the expensive side, and I got to taste ''Oculus' which is priced at $150 a bottle. The single tasting is $15. However, if you buy a bottle, you can do one tasting for free. There is enough parking and it is free. I would visit this winery again and will plan on doing a guided tour this time. Ambience - 10 Service - 9 Price - $$$ Experience - 9

If you are looking for your best wine tasting experience ever, don't hesitate to choose "Misson Hill". That was amazing for me. Meghan, our tour leader was so friendly, polite, and professional. She was able to inteoduce this fantastic Winery perfectly.

Kathy Warren

Excellent lunch at the Terrace restaurant.

The Informal Carer

You need to be part of their community to feel welcome. There is a good selection of wines, but even with availability of staff, no accommodation or service is extended unless one "belongs there". Gives aura of exclusivity. Better experience at other wineries.

Lida Lu

What a blessed place. I feel more upscale here hehe. The scenery is breath taking, and we had so much fun! Loved the wine and the service here.

Larry B

Had a great time there. Wish I could get some of their wine shipped here.

elle melanson

Our tasting experience at Mission Hill was nothing short of extraordinary. We opted for the private tasting experience and our host Lou-Anne was so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The wines were delicious and we would definitely do this again and recommend as a MUST.

Billy Lam

This was my first ever winery visit so it blew my mind when this place looked straight out of the Handmaiden's Tale or some utopian society. Wine tastings start at $10 for a flight and can be redeemable when you purchase a bottle of wine. The wines were ok, lots of aroma to them when you sniff them but they didn't excite my pallet. It's definitely a great place to get photos and to try out some wines before you buy it.

Wade Fisher

Amazing spot with great wine. Great restaurant on-site with amazing views of the vineyards. The must visit winery when you're in the area.

Yvon Roy

Amazing place to visit. The architecture alone is worth a stop. The wine is a little pricey but still worth a try. If you take the guided tour you get top see the wine cellars with all the wood barrel it is quite impressive. the view from the Restaurant is just to die for and the food is really high quality.

Quintin Paulson

Great wine but seems overly commercialized. Beautiful place for a visit. Tasting is $10 minimum. The lady who served us was not understandable and poured the wine all over the table...

Tario Sultan

We came from vancouver and passed by this winery. What an experience!!! Staff members are super friendly. Keep up the good vibe guys!!

Maria N

Lunch or dinner at the Terrace Restaurant at Mission Hill Winery is definitely always one of my highlights when visiting the Okanagan Valley ????⁣ ⁣ They are dedicated to the sourcing and promotion of local, sustainable, seasonal food. This approach lends itself to a light-handed manner of preparation that respects the character of the ingredient and where it is grown. ⁣

Dylan Nemes

Beautiful locale and the wine isn't overpriced

Michael Vlasaty

What a positively amazing experience, always. The architecture, atmosphere and professionalism of everyone is astounding. Warm and welcome and always something to learn from the incredible people that work here. The wine speaks for itself, it's an outstanding winery with a refined selection that can truly be called some of the best wine in the world.

Dave Desimone

The dinner music fit the setting perfectly and provided a subtle ambience. Our server, Ian, was very knowledgeable and a great personality for our friends who had kids. I had the wagyu beef carpaccio, shrimp linguine and pear tart for desert. Loved every course as well as the halibut I tasted from another dish. Would recommend the Terrace for anyone wanting a first class dining experience and a view that is second to none.

Nolan Carr

The most epic adult playground in the OK Valley.

Cianna Wittur

It was both mine and my boyfriend’s first time at a wine tour and I’m so glad we came here for it! We just did the single vineyard tour because we’re far from wine connoisseurs and Patrick was our tasting guide, he was SUPER knowledgeable. He also made the experience so much more fun! My grandparents and my aunts came with us and we all had so much fun. I’m not a huge fan of red wine but the selection they brought out was actually very tasty! We ended up buying one of the rosés and the red wines as well :) I would highly recommend coming here for a tour!

Martin C

Very nice winery on the top of mountain, spectacular view and decent cellar door. Beware the restaurant is closed on winter season.

Alan C

It's a very nice area with an amazing view over the lake. Tours are great, prices are high to low depending on the awards given to the wine, parking is not the best (in development atm). You can also buy a ticket to watch famous singers like Michael Bolton occasionally.

Chris Dias

I have to cram the entirety of awesomeness that is the Mission Hill winery in less than 800 words, the limit imposed by Yelp, thus the constraint I place on all my reviews elsewhere. And yes, by introducing the review this way, I’ve already wasted 45 words, foretelling 38 more before I actually begin. It’s only one winery among dozens in the region, but it’s by far the most picturesque. It’s been called the best-looking winery in Canada, one of the best in the world. I believe it. Mission Hill is not as much a winery as it is a basilica or mosque, one that pious gastronomes should visit at least once in their life. I admit the profanity in comparing it to the haj, but every foodie should take such a trek. You pull onto Mission road and scale up the considerable incline, passing mansions on the right and vineyards on the left until reaching the gate—yes, the gate. It also has walls, not castle-like, because that would be even more incredible. More like monastery walls, re-enforcing the previous blasphemous metaphor. And like a church, it even has a bell tower, and… well… there is water and wine. Heaven knows, I felt humility being in the shadows of such gastronomic icons. It’s no wonder so many wine companies claim saintly connections. The entire complex is less a functional processing facility and more akin to art, the result of years and I imagine hundreds of thousands of dollars of renovation. The bell tower marks only one point of interest among dozens, and the tour we took on that hot afternoon encompassed many, beginning at the base of the tower and coming full circle, around and through, ending finally in a wine shop, like any good tour should. Two covered terraces—one being the restaurant reviewed separately—act as borders for an amiptheater. Beyond the vineyards, Mission Hills keeps gardens of herbs and beehives, often categorized by their affinities to specific wines. Our tour, the most expensive of the options offered, was led by a particularly skilled junior sommelier, and followed by myself, the girlfriend, and a bachelorette entourage already pre-tipsy before exiting their limo. After exploring the “show-yards”—where grass separates the vines instead of dirt, we were finally brought into the darkness of the cellars, or rather the “show-cellars.” Yet this one chamber, still functional, kept hundreds of barrels. Each stop on the tour was punctuated, or rather exclaimed, by a sample of wine, beginning with the Reserve Rosé (a personal favorite), hitting a high note with the Quatrain, and concluding with the star player, the Oculus. At every moment, the sommelier extoled the virtues of Mission Hill’s wines and how they differentiated from competition. Finally, into the wine store, we were able to sample more labels and close the deal on a box to be shipped home. Ours conveniently arrived the same day we returned from vacation. We picked up a pair of Rosés, the Quatrain, the Reserve Pinot Noir, and a handsome Vidal Ice-wine. After lunch, we toured the grounds before taking a quick jaunt to Quails Gate, returning to Mission Hill for supper. Practically all day, and what’s more amazing is that despite the dozens of wineries we plan to visit on our return to the Okanagan in the near future, Mission Hill is STILL on that list. Despite seeing every crevice, tasting nearly every wine, and after even enjoying a private tour by the head chef (thanks to having connections), we still wanted to return. I’m maximizing my word length in this review to justify that level of consideration.

Nolan Keeley

My parents took me to Mission Hill for the first time for a private tour, Dan wiggins was absolutely fabulous, very knowledgable and friendly. Overall a great experience and will deffinitely be back again!

Alexander Trinh

Nice wine tour and beautiful estate. Unfortunately it was smoky that day and they cancelled our dinner reservations. Still worth a visit though just to walk around the winery

Debbie Cartier

My family decided to go to the Mission Hill Winery for the last stop before we leave Kelowna. We didn't eat there, but the wine was spectacular. We had a complimentary wine tasting of the sparkling, and we automatically bought it before we even had a sip. The views are awesome when it finished raining, the sun's out and the air is cleared.

soojong kim

Best winery in Kelowna. One of the best sightseeing place.

Howman

Wonderful location with some of the best photo ops.

marina karpilovski

Gorgeous place, beautiful views! Super fancy wine shop!

J vfx

Nice view, friendly staffs.

Live your Life

Excellent tasting wines! Ordered the Legacy Flight for starters, which consists of Quattrain, Compendium, and Oculus (their 3 top priced wines). The tasting simply did NOT disappoint. For lunch, we ordered the Scalop, Catch of the day (ivory spring salmon), and the Rigotoni. The Scalop had excellent texture, which combined well with the halibut. The catch of the day was a little dry and salty but overall not too bad The Rigotoni had an excellent blend of different sauces with a meaty texture and blend. The sauce was not too heavy and paired well with the wine.

Martynas Gruodis

Views are spectacular, the whole property gives you feeling you are in Italy not ir Canada. Whole experience is worth the money.

Jen K

The service is incredible. You cannot match the atmosphere and view. Highly reccomend the food and wine pairing. Everything was so well timed and the pairings were a phenomenal taste and flavour experience! One of the best dinning experiences I've had! Will definitely be going back.

JH

Absolutely amazing experience - server was so personable and attentive - food was absolutely amazing (some of the best food I've ever had) - estate was gorgeous and well-kept - absolutely nothing but good things to say

Patricia Guardado

Absolutely amazing! Loved the place, the wind tasting and the menu !

Tanya Ma

Beautiful setting and atmosphere. We went in for a group winery tour which included short video about the winery and it’s history, visiting wine cellar and four wines tasting (two red and two white). It was $20 per person and took about 40 minutes. The estate is truly beautiful at summer time (lake view, architecture, green bushes... very nice). As for the wine tasting part, it was a bit strange that they used the same glasses for all four different wines including red and white, but at least water was available for rinsing glasses off. I personally didn’t quite like their choice of wines, but well that’s subjective. We got to the winery around 10 am and by 11 am it got quite busy at the tasting bar. Just keep that in mind that you might have to wait for assistance (plan enough time). This way you can avoid some hard feelings ;)

Matt Jenkins

Really if you don't enjoy your visit here, it is because you are a pompus butt because of you adapt the attitude that beuty is all around you and life is what you make of it, you will do nothing but enjoy yourself and have the best of times.

Alexandra Didden

Had an amazing day at Mission Hill Winery. Unlike other reviews I did find the wines quite outstanding.

Heidi Easey

We booked the private lunch experience and were not disappointed! Our sommelier, Brittany A, was a lovely character that took her time with us with each pairing and ensured we were well taken care of. Definitely dress for the weather! Our cellar tour was done by a lovely knowledgeable woman with a French accent whose name I can't recall (Sorry!). Beautiful views, beautiful food, beautiful facility, beautiful wine! Will definitely go back and would absolutely recommend!

Greg Anthony

Great wine, make a dinner reso. Beautiful place to spend the afternoon

Andy Jinks

Excellent food and service served in a stunning location. The only problem for us was that it was pouring with rain which spoiled the view but also meant that we got dropped on a little - however the staff were very attentive and apologetic for this

Hafeez D

Great tour of the winery by Bridgette! We were a bit late but she let us watch the introductory video at the end after the tour was over and she was very well informed of the different types of wines. Beautiful scenery and awesome experience!

gandis_bird

We visited the terrace restaurant for a 4 course tasting menu last week. The scenery was as stunning as the food and wine. We could see deer nibbling at the vines from our table. It was certainly the most beautiful of the wineries that we visited. Our server Chelsea was very friendly and helpful and it turned out that she was actually from our home town in the UK. We also went back the following day as part of a wine tasting tour, which was was very professional and set in a beautiful hall. Altogether a lovely experience.

Teresa Icasiano

Our watch tower tasting was an amazing experience. When you arrive you are greeted and welcomed by staff and everyone is extremely friendly. The experience brings an atmosphere that is filled with prestige and warmth. I recommend requesting Shayne as your host as she truly embodied the winery and their values. She was very informative and super knowledgable not only on the many wines that are produced at the vineyard but also the history and making of the wines. Thank you Shayne! We will visit soon again!

Estelle C

On Saturday July 27, 2017, a group of us went to Mission Hill Winery in Kelowna BC for a paid tour. The tour costed over $17 dollars per person and each participant would get to taste two wines in addition to a guided tour. To our dismay, the guide used the same glass for the tasting of one white and one red---both were low-end wine, without even providing any water to clean the glass. With due respect, it seemed that all they wanted to accomplish during the tour was to rush us through and move on to another group. We strongly felt that to the so-called the best winery in Canada, the wine tasting event was disrespectful to their guests and to the wine industry. At the end of the tour, we were given $5 coupon to shop in their store, yet we found out later on that the coupon was applicable to certain items only.

Richelle Brock

Fabulous experience, great host, fantastic wines!

JT

Expensive but excellent. Went for a wine pairing with lunch, all of it was great. The place itself is also something to experience. No complaints but be prepared to drop some coin....... bottoms up!

Robyn McFarlane

An absolute must see! As expected it is THE winery in town! The grounds are immaculate with beautiful rose bushes and perfectly manicured shrubs. We did the 45 min tour which was fantastic. The tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and funny. The tasting hostess was also great. Attentive and personable despite the place being packed and busy all the time. The $5 gift shop voucher at the end of the tour was a great little treat which we used for some bottles of wine. This is a cannot miss winery!

Scott Jackson

Good view and great wine :)

Angie B

This destination delights the senses. A must visit.

MIN SANG PARK

So much beautiful and peaceful place. I highly recommend to visit this place with family.

jizzy buzz

The bell wakes me up when I'm trying to sleep in on my day off. The helicopter that keeps landing there looks like a fun way to show up for dinner. Beautiful scenery.

shawna david

Amazing. It’s something that you must see.

Shannon Brown

Visited earlier this week. Tessa was very helpful and spoke to us about the property. I was very impressed with the extra time she spent with my group and the level detail and care she spoke with. Highly recommend!

Kolten Willick

Horrible experience we where refered to this Winery by a photographer after driving for about an hour and rushing once on the property where not aloud to take our family photos we where not in the actual grounds but on the outside it seems ridiculous that tourists can take as many group photos as they would like but once you put on a grad dress that it is unacceptable ended going to Quails Gate and they could not have been more welcoming for us to take the 10mins for family photos would highly reccomend not going to mission hill

Kayla Coady

Amazing views, delicious food at the restaurant and obviously good wine but they failed to have a family washroom or even change tables so I had to give them only 3 stars because of the poor amenities for families.

Corey Shenken

Reserved the Lasting Legacy tour. It was an amazing experience that I would recommend to anybody. It took about three hours in total, including a four course dinner with wine pairings - well worth the cost. Our sommelier and guide Deanna was great, making sure to take time so that we did not feel rushed throughout the tour and meal. Our server (I think her name was Hailey) was also great. I would recommend booking an experience at Mission Hill for anybody who will be in the area. I will definitely be returning to the winery in the future.

Corey Wagner

Danny was great, please keep him around.

Khushboo Shah

It was a beautiful setting for the tasting. The people who we spoke to were knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful experience.

Grant Bowles

Beautiful views, wonderful buildings, great wine.

Todd Roberts

Nice collection of wine. me and my wife had a good time tasting the selections of wine. we are planning to go again next summer

Melkalver Melkalver (Johnny D)

Lovely winery. Beautiful views. I'd recommend booking your tour in advance as they are super busy.

paul colleran

Had a fantastic time tasting some of the best wines ever. The Perpetua Chardonnay is now one of my favourites.

SP

Most beautiful winery I’ve ever seen! Stunning views and gorgeous grounds make this an incredible experience. A must for wine enthusiasts!

Patrick Waldrum

Great place to get pictures and for wine if your in the mood!! Definitely beautiful scenery and great atmosphere!

Jordyn Sielski

We did a wine tasting with Emily and she was so knowledgeable, she went above and beyond to educate us. We will most definitely be back to see Emily. She was so personable and excited to have us.

Joel A.

Did a little tasting. Well worth it and prices were very reasonable. This place is gorgeous, looks like an old castle. Well worth the trip!

Adhara Hodgson

Beautiful winery with amazing architecture and a stellar view. Have done a wine tour and went into the wine cellars, definitely interesting to learn about. Tried a 'Healthy Cooking' Culinary Workshop. Watched the chefs make the meals, and was served each course with a paired wine. Great experience!

Dana T

My son asked me to visit this winery as I talked it up so much.. so we visited this week for my 3rd time, and every time I’ve had a great experience. The property is stunning, the wines are great, and the staff and friendly and helpful! Didn’t have to wait to have a tasting and the woman who helped us was very cheery and knowledgable. Last time I did the tour- which I would definitely recommend. Getting to see the whole downstairs cellar and tasting afterwards is lovely! Could easily spend a day there. Wines were even better than I remembered from my last visit, can’t wait to try the reds I purchased. Kid friendly too! Beautiful views!

Pepe-holly Oliveira

I bought my parents and boyfriend here for a little wine tasting in winter and what great decision that was. Harriet was our wine tasting associate and she was knowledgeable, chatty and super friendly. She also recommended a great restaurant to have lunch after which turned out to be the best meals we’ve had yet in Kelowna. Couldn’t be more impressed by her! We also were greeting by a man (maybe a manager) who cracked jokes and also very friendly! Oh yeh the view and wine was also amazing so definitely come here for a visit.

Willy

Beautiful place to visit and take picture. Had a wine tasting and the staff is very friendly and informative.

A SURI

Dinner at Terrace restaurant was honestly the best culinary experience we had ….The wine pairing on top of that is just incredible.

Theresa McCracken

We went for a wine tasting here yesterday and the winery is absolutely beautiful. It really felt like we were somewhere else other than Canada. All of the staff were awesome, super friendly and very knowledgeable. One person stuck out though and she was so sweet, knew her stuff and foremost was an absolute pleasure to spend the time there with. I want to give a huge shout out to Bree! You were both lots of fun and made the tasting so enjoyable. Thank you!!

Max Franchi

Carli was our tasting expert and she was very professional, thorough and told the stories very well as provided exceptional service. Would love to come back for more tasting experiences

Julia Hagerty

Thanks to Sharon for making Mission Hill our favorite winery to visit on our tour!

Lori Sampson

The winery is not doing drop-in tastings. It doesn’t say that on it’s website. It says it is open from 11-6. They had open bookings 3 days from when we were there. The website says the restaurant is closed for the season yet when we got there the restaurant was open for their harvest lunch. How hard is it to spend a little bit more time on your web page Mission Hills? The only taste we got was the bad one we got after spending the time to drive out there.

Andres Ibarra

The views are amazing and the grounds are a must see. great wines and great ambience. wonderful time spent with my wife.

Brietta Stewart

Superb wine-tasting and dinner experience here. The exterior design is unparalleled.

Christopher Meyer

fabulous grounds. Must see in Kelowna

James M

Wonderful setting, kitchen put a lot of effort into preparation and presentation of food, but the front of house staff are just plain awkward. We arrived ten minutes early for our booking, and were sent away to entertain ourselves. There is no bar to sit at while you wait, which is a bit strange for a restaurant of this level. Also we didn't feel that the wines matched the food, as we followed the recommendations in the menu. I've found that if a wine is a good match, you tend to eat a little, drink a little, etc. Instead, I found I ate the whole meal, then drank the wine. Our waiter had a habit of ending his sentences abruptly and then turning his back and walking away. Twice I had to call him back just to ask a simple question - he was somewhat "unengaging" until it came time for us to pay the bill...

This venue is stunning. Once you step foot on the property you feel transported to grecian/roman style inspired architecture. The vistas are amazing as well. We visited the winery for a two course wine paired lunch. My husband and I tried four different dishes and two of them were extremely disappointing and fell extremely flat on flavours. The "Unearthed Farm's Greens" and the "BC Wild Sidestripe Shrimp & Fresh Durum Rigatoni" recipes should be revisited. The salad was missing salt and acid; the pasta dish was missing acid, flavour complexity, and presentation. The kale pesto did not enhance the dish and overall, the pasta was so overpowering that the meal tasted like plain boiled pasta. From a visual standpoint, a contrasting colour to the green dish would also help. After the meal, we purchased a bottle of 2016 Reserve Iced Wine Riesling. The day we were heading home we dropped the bottle on the driveway and headed back to the winery to re-purchase a bottle on our way out of Kelowna. When we got to the winery we were told we could not re-vist the wine shop because we did not have an appointment. We were told that at best we could wait around for an hour for the wine shop to "reset" and maybe we could go back in. That was extremely disappointing. We understand that these COVID times are tough and we are all trying to do our best but there could have probably been a way to allow us to re-purchase the bottle of wine rather than have us wait around for an hour in hopes that we would be allowed access. We were extremely disappointed and unfortunately, overall our experience was sub par.

Sharon Whiting

Beautiful grounds and building. Well worth your time to visit Mission Hill - as well as the wine!

Gaetano Contrino

Wonderful meal with wine pairing. The kitchen crew did a wonderful job with the meal and the staff were courteous and knowledgeable. Well worth the experience.

Bj Woods

Mission Hill was our first winery tour and we sampled tastings, a paired lunch, and were escorted by our own somolier on a private winery tour. They are professional all the way and I would recommend these options to anyone.

Alex Wong

Hypocrisy, this is the only impression from here, the others are not important compared with this, thanks to the tasting area staff, an old blonde lady, thank you.

Marie Kabus

In June we visited the Winery and had cheese and wine pairing plus lunch and wine. Great service and Great food. We visited the gift shop and bought some wine and trinkets. Definitely going again. The place is lovely. The staff is top notch. I was born in Canada and have travelled to many places all over the world. This winery is right up there with the best.

Rachael Belnavis

What a great winery. Views are spectacular. After going here Its hard to go to another winery as this place sets the bar so high and makes every other winery pale in comparison. Highly recommend the tour with lunch. Food was amazing and large quantities and they were not cheap with the wine on the tasting. You get your moneys worth

Aline TAKLA PIQUE

Never disappointing, lovely food with great service in one of the most beautiful spots of Kelowna with amazing views.

Mary Ellen Stephen

The views were amazing from this beautiful restaurant and the food and service were fantastic! Our waiter couldn't have been friendlier! The grounds of the Mission Hill Winery are pristine and the wine is delicious. A definite highlight of our trip!

Pascale Tremblay

Amazing service. We took the all-inclusive meals. They took care of my dietary restrictions and I had a 100% vegan meal. Thank you to the team !

Don McTighe

Beautiful Setting, but terrible attitude. Poor wines. We just bought their 2014 Reserve Chardonay, and after one sip, poured it down the sink, undrinkable. don't waste your time here, go to smaller FRIENDLY Wineries in the immediate area

Candice Tipton

Always a beautiful iconic Okanagan experience.

Patrick Kim

Loved the food and the wine provided at The Terrace! The servers were very friendly and welcoming as well. Great place to come with your friends to taste wine and dine!

Brendon Sharma

There is a flaw in Mission Hill winery system, they keep calling my girlfriend to pay for our tour when we registered online with our visa debit card. There system accepted our visa debit card and we were reserved for a tour. When we got to Mission Hill, they told us our card wasn't accepted yet it went through to reserve our spot. Then the cashier asked for our card number. Took details of our card number and told us to go on with our tour, so we did. They said they'll take care of the rest. Two days later I'm at home and there calling me, harassing me for my card details. I told them I gave it to you over reservations online and in person when you took down my card details. How am I suppose to trust that this place isn't a scam? Calling me for my card number? Blaming me that it's my fault?! Well it's your fault for accepting visa debit cards on your reservation site, its your fault that you took down details of my card and telling me to go on with the tour. As a business you are at fault from the moment you let visa debit cards count as a way of reservations.

Anna Dang

The place is so pretty but the security guy literaly told us to get out of his way :)

Jordon Hope

Puchun Wang

Really nice view and good spot to stop by. It is nice to see how Canadian are take care of the winery. I really want to do the winery tour, but we can’t really do anything with the COVID. Hopefully later. We bought one bottle of wine, haven’t try it yet, but will write a review about it later. Vintage Louis Vuitton Case

Darren Threinen

My favorite of all the wineries. Great views, beautiful grounds, friendly service and of course, awesome wines. Go get a bottle of their first and only "sparkling" wine before they disappear, worth the effort, trust me!

meagthom

Extremely disappointed with our experience today. We had been visiting numerous wineries throughout the day and everyone treated us so wonderfully. When we arrived at Mission Hill we were advised unless we agreed to purchase something in advance we would not be welcome to browse. Very unprofessional. I will not return

Eric D

I took my family here to try their restaurant, when I tried to have a table the girl at front told me that they can only serve 4 persons and we had 5 person, so unfortunately their "4 persons table" is not capable to serve 5 people and does not seems like helping at all, I mean, adding a chair on the side is probably not worth it for them, I came here once a year but this will be the last time

Tobi Li

Wow. Amazing wine pairings, we tried the white flights. Amazing view. Amazing architecture.

Tanu Vyas

We visited the vinary over the weekend without reservations. There were 2 attendees at the entrance. He explained us that without the reservations they are not allowing visitors, due to COVID they have to follow all the safety procedures and bla bla bla. We were fine with that and everything BUT THE FUNNIEST PART IS HE WAS NOT WEARING ????. upon asking he said it's not mandatory. Following all the rules but not wearing Mask???how hippocratic is this?

Roddy Fraser-Davidson

Incredible meal, fantastic service - our server Ali really did an amazing job making the whole experience very special and her knowledge of the food, wine pairings and the local area was phenomenal - and the VIEWS!!!!! If you're in Kelowna, you must add this as a place to hit.

Alice H.

Absolutely amazing experience during our wine tasting with Shayne. She was knowledgeable and kind and so entertaining. It was our first wine tasting and because of her, I am a huge fan of them. She's set the bar so high that I am not even sure if the next wine tasting can compare!

Captain Linsano

The views and landscape are much more satisfying than the food and service, but you are there for Gram worthy scenery.

Sarah Zohar

This was truly the nicest winery we have ever visited. In addition to the beautiful grounds and exceptional wine, the service was on another level. My partner and I went with another couple, and each of us enjoy different wines and have different levels of expertise. We had a private wine tasting with Carlie who made each of us feel comfortable and engaged throughout the process. Her warm personality and extensive knowledge made it feel as though we had a friend with us during the tasting. We would highly recommend Mission Hill, and if you can request Carlie for your tasting!

Jason Grierson

4 course dinner was spectacular. Wine pairings where great and great value on the dinner and wine pairings.

Lyle Woods

Nice grounds and views. Our guide was very knowledgeable and spent time with us and we did not feel rushed. However, we brought a camera tripod with us and got told on several occasions, by different people, that tripods were not allowed. We were disappointed in this response as we were not impeding anyone and just wanted a few photos of us together. Given COVID-19, we did not want to ask anyone to take a photo and touch our phone. The attitude of the staff in this way put a negative on the experience. We were later at Quails Gate down the road and had a completely different and friendly experience in this way. Their grounds were scenic, free to roam, and lots of great photo opportunities overlooking the lake.

Amol Saincher

Very beautiful ground with church-like clock tower. Beautiful interior decorating. Great quality wines. Highly recommended.

Ricardo Seah

Impressive winery that has great views and a nice layout. There is also a shop and tasting bar. Their wines are pretty good especially ice wines

Lauren P

Our tasting experience at Mission Hill was nothing short of extraordinary. We opted for the private tasting experience and our host Lou-Anne was so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The wines were delicious and we would definitely do this again and recommend as a MUST.

Jocelyn T

We booked a private lunch at the estate and absolutely loved it! Our tour guide was very accommodating and gave us lots of time at the wine cellar for photos. The server and sommelier were extremely knowledgeable, and the wine and food were paired perfectly. The ice wine and dessert pairing was my favourite! Two things to critique: I wish they didn't keep pressuring us to purchase membership and that that they gave us the opportunity to stroll through the vineyards. Other than that, the experience was one of a kind and we will be back for more.

Sam F

Beautiful winery, delicious food and outstanding service. We booked the private lunch and the chef and servers were so accommodating and friendly. We will be back for another case of the 2016 Compendium - which I highly recommend.

ricardo engelen

Beautiful and romantic location with some of the best wines

Emoke Rock

Outstanding dinner; impeccable service, gorgeous setting.

Aaron Siano

Hard to describe my experience here. The food is so wonderfully thought out, with each dish paired with a wine. Real attention is provided to each dish, with an emphasis on correct technique. It really is an experience everyone should try at least once.

Allie Tzimas

We have been to the Terrace a few times for both lunch and dinner. Always amazing food, wine, service and a stunning scenery. We always make an effort to stop here every time we come to the Okanagan. I highly recommend visiting the Terrace for a unique wine & food pairing experience.

Allison Brouwer

Would highly recommend this beautiful winery and their amazing staff! We were taken on a tour of the estate and seated for the “Behind Closed Doors” tasting experience. It was lovely to chat with our Sommelier, Eden, about the property and the wine, and Sam was so knowledgable about the food pairings. Will definitely be back - thank you again!!

robert m meush

What a beautiful winery! Great tour, such ambience. Top notch wine!

Spencer Matthews

The wines here taste about as good as the floor of a Regina school bus!

Rahul Maingi

Beautiful views and stunning architecture!! The landscaping and premises are very well maintained. As soon as you drive through the gates, you feel like you are in some sort of movie. The wine tasting experience is a must! We spent $15 to taste four different types of wines and got our money rebated for buying 2 bottles of wine. This is also a great place to pick up some gifts. They have very nice wine accessories and an assortment of aged cheeses, jams and spreads. The staff was knowledgeable and walked us through the different flavours of wine as well as providing personalized recommendations based on our taste. Highly recommended, especially if you have limited time to explore Kelowna.

Tik tok

A wonderful winery. Gorgeous grounds and the wine is always great. Tastings are more expensive than others, but not a deal breaker as you get that back when you buy wine. Lots of gifts to grab. We will be back hopefully next time with less smoke!

Jordan Dixon

Finally got to visit one of B.C.’s biggest and best wineries, Mission Hill in Kelowna. Founder Anthony von Mandl deserves much credit for being the first winery to really put the Okanagan on the map as a world class winemaking region. He hasn’t let up in recent years with acquisitions such as the excellent CedarCreek winery also in Kelowna as well as the exceptional Checkmate winery on the Golden Mile. My wife and I did the Single Vineyard private tasting at the winery, and had the pleasure of being guided through the experience by Shayne, who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She really added much to the visit. Wonderful wine across the board, all in a COVID friendly set up. One of the pricier tastings in the area, but as they say, you get what you pay for. Given the quality of the wine and the experience it’s a real value. Must visit if you have even a passing interest in wine in Kelowna.

David Chong

The tours are nice. View is great. The place has a restaurant too and of course a place to buy wine. Bad thing is that visitors do not get to see the actual wine making process.

derrick carnie

i am not a fan of wine but it was a awesome time and i will be coming back

Gary Gill

We had a great time. Leslie was amazing. She was incredible with our kids and very knowledgeable about the wines.

Alyssa Saran

Visited here last week for a wine tasting/ tour of the barrel room. Our Somalier was very well versed in the world of wine. I loved how he knew everything about Mission Hills and vineyards in the surrounding areas. Our wine tasting started …

Ashley Hariraj

Ewen was incredible! We love how passionate he is. He made the experience even better than we could've imagined.

한인경

Nice place .we enjoyed the wine tasting a lots . And the restaurant food was also nice

Danielle Driver

Beautiful winery. Wonderful, knowledgeable, and accommodating staff. Lunch and tour was fantastic and perfectly timed, did not feel rushed in the slightest. Top notch chefs with their own creations and additions to the menu. Once in a lifetime experience. Will never forget. Thank you!

Daniel

Wonderful place for lunch or dinner...entire setup is very classy.

Annette Diaz

Booked A Taste of Okanagan wine tasting this afternoon and Angel was our host. She was great! Very entertaining and very informative - would love to visit again!

Jaryt Lyons

Mission Hill Winery is by far one of the most elegant and refined wineries that the Okanagan has to offer. Many others will try to mimic the soul that Mission Hill embodies, but none will achieve the spirit. From the subtle elegance of the tasting and wine shop to the breathtaking view off the courtyard, Mission Hill astonishes. The attention to detail from the manicured hedges, dust free walkways, and properly uniformed employees is what sets Mission Hill apart from others.

Kelvin Lau

Beautiful setting. Things are a bit pricey here but worth the visit!

Tracy Grabowski

The servers very knowledgeable food was great atmosphere beautiful and the ability to try new things.

Yang Erlang 杨二郎 (巨厨 Huge-Cook)

A must go place. I felt the wine is very expensive, that's all.

Mark Martin

Fantastic winery! amazing views and fabulous wine! would highly recommend taking a tour.

Henry Kohout

Megan was our guide for the tour. she was very enthusiastic, patient and knowledgable about the winery and wine history for the region. Visiting Mission hills is a definite must whether you are visiting or live in kelowna

tai ferretti

An amazing experience all around..level of professionalism is a 10+. ????❤????❤????❤

Kayla Bordignon

Mission Hill Winery is one of the most iconic wineries in BC. The stunning property is a must stop along the west Kelowna Wine Trail. In particular, if you are lucky enough to taste or learn from Bram, you are in for a treat!! He is one of the most knowledgable in the world of wine and is able to speak to all levels of experience. His passion (and smile!) is contagious and being in his presence is always a highlight of my trip to wine country. TIP: I highly recommend that you plan for a wine paired lunch while visiting the winery- you won't be disappointed!!

Dillon Storie

Went here for my partner's birthday, did a wine tasting with Louanne who gave us exceptional service and was very friendly.

Carlo Thirtytwo

The Mission Hill Experience was fantastic. We had booked a private lunch and tour and the service ran like clockwork. Servers were exceptionally well versed in wine and food pairings, and their passion shone through. Food was elevated and delicious. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful; well manicured lawns, clean and modern architecture, and spectacular views of Kelowna. I certainly can echo some of the pretentiousness mentioned in previous comments, but we never felt pressured to buy anything or purchase a membership. My only real critique resides in the length of the tour - we wished it was longer. A quick run down to the cellars was phenomenal, however we left wanting a bit more in that area, perhaps a brief walk through the vineyards at the entrance. Outside of that, the experience was exceptional and we would visit Mission Hill again in a heartbeat.

Dalvinder K

World class Estate with beautiful and breathtaking views. An architectural wonder with a unique story. This is a must see for anyone visiting Kelowna.

Doron Yahav

Was late 10 min late for a reservation. Manager said that they could not refund as per policy. No offer for a discount on wine, no shorter tasting, no exceptions whatsoever. Waste of my time and not coming back. 25 dollars for a tasting is on the higher end I was willing to pay and this pretentious place kind of ruined it for me. Hatch is 10x better, save your money and go there instead.

Bernie LJ Huang

It is a fancy winery. We had great time there.

Andrew Barr

Patrick was an unbelievably knowledgeable and enjoyable guide on our wine tour! He told great stories and answered dozens of questions. Super fun guide!

Alan Morris

Probably the most pretentious wineries I've been to. Our experience was pre-pandemic. Visiting the Okanogan in the hotter months of the year has many sized groups of tourists from all places. We went straight to the gift shop after a little wander of the property. The architecture is very nice. As a young couple just getting into the wine scene, we dedicated a day to visit some of the wineries of the area, big and small. Mission Hill was our second stop. We didn't want to go on full tours, but to do some tastings, buy maybe one or two bottles, and move to the next place. Wandering a nearly empty showroom, we picked up, put down, and picked up various bottles. The staff were busy filling empty places on the shelves. We didn't get acknowledged at all until I started to approach a staff member. Then a bus load of retirees flooded the room, where they were greeted with delight. We didn't get the same reception when we arrived. Hmmm. Maybe it's perceived by the employees that my young pockets aren't as deep.. We put down our two bottles and left after realizing we weren't Mission Hill's target customers. I guess now in this new normal the big busses aren't coming anytime soon. I feel no sympathy. My lesson is to spend your money where it's appreciated, not assumed.

Rachel Goss

Stacia was an amazing host. She was super knowledgeable, engaged and patient. 10/10 will be back. Thanks Stacia!

Jen Fischer

Food was excellent. Expensive but worth it. Beautiful vineyard, just wish you could explore the grounds without a tour

Alyssa Buzzelli

We did the Lasting Legacy Tour at Mission Hill and Emma was our guide. She was absolutely wonderful! Tatum at the front was equally as charming and friendly. Thank you for a fabulous experience! We will definitely be back!

C&A Inc.

Amazing quality of wine. Took one star off because our party felt rushed and they didn’t allow parties over 6 to sit together even after the restrictions were lifted. Looks like they were more interested in business volume over the enjoyment and comfort of their patrons.

Rick Baker

An older, upscale winery. Very busy in the summer. Fantastic scenery and views.

Neil Ericson

This place seems to only care about profits over people. I went up to Mission Hill with my wife and mother in law only to be turned away because we didn't have a reservation. The gate attendant was also very rude and unaccommodating towards us when we arrived; she made us feel like we were lowlifes for making the effort to come out. When I went online to see what was available, I noticed that it was a minimum of $15 per person even if you didn't want to participate in the wine tasting. By comparison, we felt much more welcome when we went to Quails' Gate. They even went above and beyond to accommodate me and my family for my birthday. This was the first time I went up to Mission Hill, and it will certainly be the last one after the experience I had.

Tony Yang

On Saturday July 13, 2019, My family of 3 went to Mission Hill Winery in Kelowna BC for a paid tour ($95+taxes per person, 10 people in one group) that called "Garden lunch Experience". The Garden is beautiful, the lunch was a joke, it was a two people's snack for 10 adult people. The guide used the same glass for the tasting of one white and one red---both were low-end wine, the taste was cheap too. The tour was rushed and boring, the tour guide has only spent 70 minutes to finish 90 minutes program. I understand Mission Hill Family Estate Winery is a big commercial business, the purpose of the tour is about "digging money" from tourists, I live in Vancouver and I love to visit Okanagan valley. But I will never go back to "Mission Hill Family Estate Winery", Bad experience and disappointed. Do not waste your time and money, not worth it.

Jim Cambie

We went to Mission Hill for a pre-booked private tour, legacy tasting and dinner at the terrace. Our sommelier, Jordan, was wonderful! We were celebrating my mother-in-law's 80th birthday and Jordan made her feel special and really took the time to chat with her while going about the tour and tastings. We love Mission Hill and have been legacy members for several years. Our dinner was beautiful and the chef allowed my wife to order a special dish so our compliments to the chef! Our server, Jerome, paid close attention and treated our family like his own. We are coming back in a few weeks for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary, have asked Jordan to be our sommelier again, and we can't wait to enjoy another unforgettable evening!

Shauna Chappell

Beautiful winery! My family and I did the tasting at the tower, which was a fun experience. I wish that it was made more clear on their website that the tasting did not include a tour of the winery. If I had known that, I would have chosen a different tasting experience. If you are going in the peak season, I would suggest that you make reservations at least a few weeks before.

Greg W

Immaculate place. Very tasty and reasonable tasting menu

Wayne Lehman

Beautiful meal, stellar view and fabulous service.

Dom M

Absolutely incredible experience! Went for the private lunch, did not imagine it to be as fantastic as it was!! Picked up 5 bottles of wine, Will be returning.

Natalie Hodgson

Mission Hill winery is a spectacular place, our wine tasting with Angele was animated and informative, we really enjoyed it. Afterwards we had a glass of wine, Matt our server was great

Anthony Sawatzky

We booked a Reserve tour for Saturday afternoon for a group of 4 and a baby, and we cannot say enough great things about our experience. We had actually got a booking by accident for a time when the tour wasn’t supposed to exist due to a date mix up. Misson Hill was truly amazing in accommodating a private tour when we realized another time wouldn’t work. We were lucky enough to have Bram Bolwijn who is the Lead Sommelier lead our tour, who was amazing. He provided us so much knowledge of Misson Hill, their wines, the facility and even what makes wine making unique in the Okanagan. We were given substantial tastings of several fantastic wines and were given some great guidance on how to taste them without being overbearing in any way. We fully expected Misson Hill to be a place where we would feel out of our element, as none of us are big wine drinkers. As a group we all agreed after touring 8 wineries in 3 days that there is no other winery that even came close to the experience at Misson Hill and a large part of that was our experience with Bram. If you can only do one tour, I would recommend that you go to Misson Hill.

SS H

As always immaculate. Just stopped in to grab a few bottles ice wine.

Isabelle L

I visited Mission Hill just over a week ago and was made to feel uncomfortable by some of your staff. Upon entering the winery I was looked up and down by staff and given a look of 'you don't belong here'. I was wearing nice clothing, not Ralph Lauren or Gucci but nice clothing. I was willing to spend money at your winery as the wines were reasonably priced and it was very beautiful, but after the unexpected 'welcome' I received, I spent my money elsewhere. I would highly recommend going to Quails Gate Winery down the road. They were so friendly and accepting even when guests weren't wearing their money. I have given you 2 stars as the lady in the gift store actually was nice and asked us if we needed any help, not like anyone else on your premises.

Chopper Tom

Such a place of history as the mission family started this vineyard years ago. Read about it on site and take a tour of the grounds before even entering the winery and you’ll be impressed with the views and architecture on display. The individuals inside are friendly and willing to help you with any of your purchases or questions. Also a great place for unique gift ideas, as I was browsing through the store, I came across a book titled, “50 places to ski before you die.” Never thought I would see this book in a winery gift shop. So it’s not just full of charcuterie boards and cork screws. Definitely check it out!

Sharon Ferguson

The Italian cooking event was amazing! Thank you Edward Jones Investment for the invite. You chose an incredible place to host the event. Well done all

Minh Le

Always a treat to visit this beautiful estate. We had Suzanna pouring out tasters today and she was just lovely and knowledgeable of the wine. She went the extra way to hunt down the Viognier that was no longer on the menu for tasting as the wine was a limited release on the estate only. Highly recommend doing the terroir tasting as these wines are mainly only available on the estate vs bc liquor stores. Cost is $15, but waived if you purchase 2 bottles.

Cynthia Watley

Absolutely beautiful grounds. Fantastic food and service every time we go there.

karthik krish

"Behind closed doors" was worth the experience. The hosts were extremely kind, friendly and respectful. The food pairing was very thoughtful. I will visit again!

Patrick Turcotte

We had an amazing time with the family at Mission Hill. Everything was perfect (restaurant, wine, tasting, service, view...) It was so good, we joined the Wine club :-) . A special note for Jack Moroney who took care of everything during our stay (and at Checkmate too!)... many thanks Jack! Also, Shae Wiggins did the "Loggia Experience" and it was awesome for the entire family (including kids!)... many thanks Shae, looking forward to hearing from you regarding the wine club :-)

Sam Bates

I’m visiting Kelowna from Vancouver for the week, visiting as many wineries as I can. Been to 10 so far and bought wine from every winery we’ve been to, and Mission Hill has been the only one that I’ve actually walked out of without doing a tasting or buying any wine because of how awkward the staff made us feel. We walked up the the tasting bar and they were a bit busy so we stood and waited, figured they’d be with us soon. Not a single staff member would acknowledge us, even the ones that were not busy. We stood there for a good 5 minutes before walking out. I’m not sure if it’s because we were younger or not dressed fancy enough but it was really weird being treated this way after we had been to all of the other wineries that were so welcoming.

Ruby Sidhu

Mission Hill restaurant and winery is not just a winery or a restaurant, it’s an experience. We have been to the restaurant many times and the food is always amazing, the wine superb and the views breathtaking. Wouldn’t think of coming to the area without visiting. Still takes my breath away every time I go. Unbelievable and highly recommend.

Carrie Sims

What an absolute Gem in West Kelowna. The views and the wine were spectacular. The wine tasting experience was top notch and our Sommelier Sharon was knowledgeable and went the extra mile. Thank you Mission Hill! We will be back again.

Kent Sandy HAYGLASS

Tasting review: New strategy vs our last time in Valley 4 years ago. Rather than the $18 plonk previously offered, they now sample mid and a bit higher range. Greatly improved quality! Good strategy to sample and buy some better wines. Like many wineries (but not Qgate), price in store is higher than BCLCB.

Heaven Neal

Great views! Loved it so much!

Johnson Li

Great lunch tour. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable! Food was good and paired well with the wines.

Reinold Kosciuw

Awesome site and history. The visit to the cellar was a wine cathedral. A must see.

Ruby Havard

Had such an amazing experience at Mission Hill. The food and the wine was perfect. Brittany G made the tour very enjoyable and informative. I highly recommend this winery for its wine, the food, the view and the over all experience

Brayden Williams

The wine shop is beautiful. The view is breathtaking. And the grounds are immaculate. If we had been able to sit on the side of the restaurant where we could have enjoyed the view, it would have been an exceptional experience. However the waitress stopped us from sitting on that side of the restaurant stating that it was reserved for dinner guests only, and it was lunchtime. I could see if it was busy but the place was completely empty. For the price we paid for a couple of glasses of wine and a few pieces of cheese, I would expect to be able to sit anywhere.

Susan Blackmere

What an amazingly awesome way to celebrate my husband's 60th. Birthday. We did the Lasting Legacy Experience which was absolutely fantastic our various hosts; Megan, Michael and Holly added to quite a wonderful day.

Nick Crowder

Spending time at Mission hill was the most highlighted one of our first visit to Kelowna. Mom loved the beautiful site. We had dessert and wine at restaurant and adored beautiful view from our table. We really enjoyed sips of terror rose that was recommended by our server, Annabelle. She was friendly and kind. She also made memorable our dining experience at Mission Hill.

Jennifer

I absolutely love this winery. The structures are beautiful.

Ryan Pan

Only my second winery I've ever stepped foot in, as I am not much of a wine drinker. I can't rave enough about how beautiful the grounds and the architecture are. A person could spend hours here wandering the property. Also, the young lady who served me at the tasting bar was so unbelievably nice, as she helped guide me towards the types of wines I might enjoy. If you're like me and have no idea which wineries to stop at, this one is a MUST!

Kevin Wilhelm

My wife and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary this weekend and decided to have dinner at the Terrace at Mission Hill. We enjoyed a 5 course set menu with wine pairing and it was an experience like no other. The food was incredible, the wine was delicious, and the ambience was breathtaking. This was an experience you can't replicate easily. I highly recommend going on a date or having a great meal with good friends.

NOT TELLIN

Had a tour (led by Ewan) through the vineyards + underground cellar & lunch. What an amazing experience. Ewan was a great host, very personable, took photos for us, and answered all of our questions (there were many!) Explained the meals and wines with great expertise, and even took the time to jot down some recommended wines for us to pickup from the store afterwards. Beautiful property, beautiful winery, beautiful views. The experience was one of a kind, and unforgettable. Will be back, but this time to the tour with the barrel tasting! Hopefully can get Ewan again to be our guide! A+, great job guys!

Joshua Fita

Fantastic views and good wine.

jashan singh

Carly was the best wine tasting host!

Elaine Jensen

What a gorgeous winery. We took the hour long Discovery tour. Learnt a lot about the wine I like to drink. Recommend their Quatrain. Scenery is lovely.

Alex Evans

The property itself is beautiful and the wine selection is really good; however, the customer service when I went this most recent trip was incredibly poor. I was highly disappointed by the fact that I am a repeat customer and wanted to show my elderly mother the property and was told that we couldn't come in unless we bought some wine. Anyone who knows me knows that I will support a wine business and buy wine if I am not pressured to do so; but to be told I can't come in unless I was intending to buy wine is just greedy. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

We visited the winery at 1230 today, December 19. It was a two course meal. The presentation was average. All items were just warm. Nothing arrived hot. Two people had the scallops. There were three 1/2 scallops in each dish. The rest was cabbage and a squash soup. I had the duck. It was barely warm and the duck leg was charred on the bottom. The wines were delicious. We thought it was very poor value for the price. Very disappointed.

Visiting from the Boston area..... What a place to visit even during the winter. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Wonderful wines

Tashina Shackelly

Had the BEST experience on a tour here! Elyse was our sommelier, she went above and beyond making sure this was a great experience for us. It was beautiful, the wine was fantastic, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this place...but ask for Elyse because she was amazing!!

Wes Rota

We did a private tour set up by Craig. It was fantastic and I cant stop telling people how great it was. Bree did our tour and she was outstanding!

andrew H

Had winery tasing with Andrea. She was super helpful!! Must visit

Catch Bing

I liked the decoration, and the bell tower made it even better.

Enke

Meal with paired wine, charcuterie plate was so delicious and excellent service. Beautiful view and great history.

Makenzie Irwin

I can't even believe some people gave this place a 1 - 4 stars, this place is for sure 5 stars!!!! We came here for the wine and cheese tour, and our tour guide was amazing and knowledgeable! Amazing view, amazing wine, and amazing cheese.

Paul S

Had Tina as a server. Was told 2 bottles would cover both my wife and I's tasting. Went to purchase 2 bottles then was told we needed to purchase 4 bottles to cover 2 peoples tasting. We walked out with Zero bottles and will pass over Mission Hill wines from now on. Lot's of other Okanagan wineries to support.

Maria Delos Reyes

This place is phenomenal, it is our first time to do the winery tour and this is exactly how I imagine a winery should be. Really good quality wines with fun and witty tour guide Jody that made our tour perfect.

Haley Wilson

A nice location, but very average commercialized wine and pretentious atmosphere/staff. While other wineries in the Okanagan (Quail's Gate just down the road) will let you tour through the vineyards and property yourself, everywhere at Mission Hill is "escort only." A bit uppity for a brand mass producing low to mid-end wines. And a forewarning, stay away if you're travelling with pets. Dogs are not welcome here. If you're thinking about visiting Mission Hill, I would suggest getting out of the vehicle for 5 minutes, taking a photo of the arches/tower, and then heading straight to Quail's Gate.

Celine Boutilier

What a grand estate and a lovely time we had. The wine was of excellent quality, on par with many I have tasted around the world. Well done. What a beautiful setting.

Raj S

Enjoyed the wine tour and property, will go back again without a doubt

Barry Brumwell

Undoubtedly one of the nicest views and more regal "estate" feeling wineries. But that's where the positives end - that doesn't make good wine. Their wines are average at best, but the entire notion of this place is to take your money. $17 A PERSON TO TOUR THE WINERY? ARE TOU KIDDING ME? You don't even get to see the wine making process here - Ooooh big deal they show you their barrels full of wine as if that's so impressive. There are MANY MANY wineries in the area that have much better wine and are WAY less pretentious. Mission Hill is WAY too full of itself. Quails Gate and Summerhill are extremely popular for a reason, Summerhill lets you tour righ in amongst their wine marking facility (Mission Hill used to) AND ITS FREE. Watch Cedar Creek turn into Mission Hill East now that they have the same owners.

Nick Koh

Great place to hold an event outdoors.

Justin Powick

Fantastic wine and the scenery + architecture is top notch. Received amazing service at the restaurant from an Englishman called Matt who I couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Ian Harvey

We had a wonderful experience at Mission Hill this past Friday! Not only is the estate gorgeous, but the hospitality was spot-on. Craig was super friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to show us a good time. A must-do if you are visiting Kelowna!

Captain Canada

Super amazing service and actually genuinely very happy staff. I wish i could give more stars! Although, for good reason, the food is highly priced.

Brian Logan

The experience was great. It opened my eyes to the wine experience. Thank you Andrew and Ava for the wonderful time. We hope to see you again real soon.

Louis-Philippe Carrier

2 stars because the place is awsome and beautiful! But the reception was so bad......there was the blondy guy at the reception, no welcome,no smile and he was just running to tell to the family....dont go there, dont touch that ....exausting! The wine is very good. I will probably dont go there again after all the other winery we saw

Chevy Shakashoes

Beautiful venue with some great wines.

Grace Kim

WOW! GORGEOUS! what can I say. huge! and great place for children to run around. They have a huge field where children can run around. But if you are planning to eat at the restaurant try to book ahead. they book up fast

Coco Yuen

Must visit in Kelowna. Great winery with quality wine and services. Nice and knowledgable staff.

Erin Winchester

Love, love, love this winery! I had the pleasure of visiting this winery last weekend, with all my girlfriends for my bachelorette party. We had a tour and a wine tasting. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Our tour guide was Leanne (I hope that was her name!), she was amazing and made sure we had an experience we wouldn’t forget. This was the first stop on our wine tour, and thank goodness - we were supposed to go to Quails Gate winery, but despite our booking we were met with nothing but attitude and extremely rude staff. Starting our day at Mission Hill really set the mood, and got us so excited to see what Kelowna had to offer! I was so thrilled with the warm welcome we received, especially as we were a bachelorette party of 13 women. This winery is a must see! I would definitely recommend Mission Hill over and over again.

Jas B

We had a great experience with Bree well wine tasting. She is highly knowledgeable and she gave us beginners some good tips when it comes to wine tasting which we had not received at other wineries.

Keith Mitchell

Did the tasting with Bri. She was great. 10/10 would recommend. Quattro from the legacy line was objectively the best, although I was the only one who said that. Compendium is was also a crowd favourite.

Nick M

This is the best winery in Kelowna hands down. Our sommelier Carlie Nugent was excellent. She was extremely professional, nice and funny and made our experience memorable. Cannot wait to go again !!

Sab Nas

Beautiful grounds and always a pleasant visit. The wine is good too!

Julian Shih

Great Great winery tasting

Cory Smith

Every other winery here allows pets expect this place. My friend went and they let another dog in by a white lady and my friend was told she couldn’t bring her dog in. My friend was a person of colour. I guess they only let the privilege run free here in Kelowna.

Tasman Ng

Nice atmosphere and view, lots of room at outside very very busy inside the store.... Of course. They do a lot of marketing to promo themselves so..... Many tourist but their spectacular view just want to stay there longer, I like their white wine more.... Of course their ten wine is good too... Just personal taste, they do have very expensive wine but can't taste it lol.

Mehr Poulad

The property is nestled on top of west kelowna with a great view of the lake. The bell tower and surrounding buildings are beautiful and easy to walk. Lots of great choices for wine, make sure to ask questions from staff and get their recommendations. We had the set menu for lunch and the outdoor seating area is gorgeous with sunshades and water misting to keep patrons cool. Food gets a 4/5, the spaghetti was ok and I would recommend the scallops. Bottles of wine range from $25-$200 from the store and you can sign up to be a member and exclusive deals. I would recommend going to Mission Hill for wine and quails gate for food.

stephanie havens

Beautiful winery, excellent wines! The restaurant is superb as well, I recommend anyone to try it if you got the time. Beautiful settings and delicious food.

Alex Klarer

Nice place, good service.

Andrew was our host for the second time and he absolutely awesome! Ana gave us a great tour of the winery and she was very insightful and knowledgeable!!The winery staff is exceptional and Andrew was another example of why we keep coming back!!

Equus Fabrics

Okay Really loved the food here but the wannabe pretentiousness of the place was a total turn off. They try really hard to be high end and it really loses the great views of the place. Arrived from Toronto and made a late reservation. Lots of seats available at 8. Was told to go walk around as they were to busy. Okay, come back 30 minutes later and all the same seats were open including the one we sat at. We really loved Quails Gate. This place had soul and was so much more fun getting to walk the vinyards and pick grapes. Food was awesome too.

Allison Hewlett

We had such a great time at Mission Hills winery. Alfredo helped us with our tastings, and was AMAZING!!!!! A beautiful setting and lots of great wines.

Lois Streeton

Lovely property. Big commercial business. Tasting fees are double what you would pay at a smaller family run estate winery where the product quality is much better. Not really worth your time to stop here.

Edison Sy

A wide selection of wines are available for tasting and purchase. The grounds are perfectly manicured, very peaceful and serene. The winery overlooks Lake Okanagan and the view is fantastic. Truly a great place to visit and experience.

Rob

Mission Hill vineyard is absolutely beautiful! Stately grounds, landscaping and of course the wine is fantastic. Very knowledgeable staff with great recommendations. Wine tours are available.

Rachel Absolom

Don't waist your time, hard earned money and energy on this place full of snobs. You want to enjoy good wine, friendly smiles and beautiful grounds? Go to Quails Gate instead. Food's better Wine's better People are nicer.

Winston Lin

Such an amazing experience. Wines, the tour and the food. Would definitely come back again

susan klassen

Visiting from Manitoba. We had a beautiful experience! Will definitely recommend!

James Gibson

Amazing...a must visit when in Kelowna

Ark Alberta

Probably the nicest winery in Okanagan, wine isn't up to our tasting, but the selection is quite large.

Mike Gilchrist

Great wine and food. Worth going to see.

Taina Achtermeier

This was on our bucket list, do it, beautiful place, we had wine tasting with Carley, she was amazing, than lunch on the terrace, Chris was also amazing and beyond, he knows his stuff and he was fun, thank u for all the laughs, we will definitely come back, cheers

Victoria D

Had the harvest lunch here with the legacy wine pairing. It was AMAZING. We ended up purchasing a bunch of the wines that we tried during the lunch and they shipped it across Canada for free. I highly recommend the carrot and feta salad, as well as the charcuterie as they served a pear quince with it that was to die for.

S Q

Great view and good place to visit. Gets very busy early and parking is limited.n

frank chafe

Cheesecake is to die for after the tour. Great views of the vineyards. Spectacular I would say.

Dan Juskovic

Mixed feelings about this one: on a positive note , the grounds and arts are impressive. It is definitely worth a visit for this reason alone. We had the private tasting booked ahead and everything was organized well. I particularly liked two out of four wines : voignier and Cabernet Savigon, while I did not like Pinot Gris or Pino Noir that much. While tastes cannot be compared , cost and advice can: I think the experience is overpriced for the value it provides - $30 per person for a tasting is too much, if you don’t believe this please come visit elite wineries in Niagara on The Lake. The second and final negative is advice - tasting facilitator was not knowledgeable , more of a retail clerk that was pushed into the role maybe by accident . It takes a lot away from an experience when you can’t get straight answers to basic questions. So it’s a mixed bag on this one.

Gregory Sigel

This is the single most beautiful winery that my wife and I have ever been to in Canada. And if you are a Tom Kundig fan, just you wait. You will be blown away by how truly gorgeous the architecture is, as well as the billion-dollar view of Lake Okanagan. The restaurant serves up phenomenal cuisine and the wines are on a level unto themselves. If you want to feel like you are in the countryside of southern Europe, spend an evening here :)

Mike Johnson

Great winery, very nice and extravagant! Their wines were wonderful, although on the pricey side despite the complexity they showed, still very enjoyable though! Jody was awesome, and extremely knowledgeable, this is a great winery to check out, but would be a little scared to come here when it is really busy.

Manuele Tamisari

Impressive property and location, congratulations to all the people working there to make this winery so amazing.

mandy dhaliwal

We were greeted with our sommelier Carlie. She was SO amazing. She knew all the information about each wine. Such a nice girl and made our experience elevated to the next level. Great employee, please keep her forever!!!!!

Will B

Nice views, staff aren't too friendly, that's why I give it a 3. Wine is okay but they don't want you to sample the more expensive wines for some reason? Again, it might be the staff not sure why?

Dana Sorensen

This was a super enjoyable afternoon, beautiful scenery and great wines. Our experience was really made by our wine guide Carlie. She was warm and knowledgeable really made our visit. Thank you Carlie!

Kimberley Teves

Extremely disappointed in their customer service. They are now charging $15 for a kid to come along. They get a cider to join the "experience" with you and a souvenir at the gift shop. We called and one employee said if there is an area in the comments online to just enter it and if not gave us the number for the receptionist. We just called and they are forcing you to pay $15 even if your kid won't drink the cider (ours is very picky water only) and we don't care about the souvenir. Only place I have ever heard of doing this.

Nicholas Hawkes

Fantastic food, great tour, delicious wine.

Ryan Brown

I expected just the architecture and scale of the place to be impressive but the wines were also some of the best I had in the valley.

Alfredo Penner

Book your tour and have a life experience! Awesome! Fantastic!

Geoff Archambault

Great staff, and of course great wine.

P Khattab

Beautiful winery. The art installations were inspiring and the wine was as well!

Alison Do

We had an amazing time! Jack was our guide for the Legacy experience and he is awesome!!!! Fun and full of stories about the winery, we were entertained the whole time. The food and the wine were, of course, crazy good. Totally worth it! Thanks Jack!
