There was a group of nine of us girls that went to Vin Bon Brantford for my birthday bottling. As soon as we walked in, Chris the owner, greeted us in such a way that we could just tell it was going to be a great experience! The music was loud enough to set the mood for the day, but not so loud that we couldn't hear all of the information that Chris was sharing with us about the wine making process. The equipment was user friendly and we were all able to have a turn during each of the different steps. My expectations of making my own wine were blown out of the water! The next moment of truth was trying the "Shay's Shiraz" that we had made. It definitely did not disappoint! I could not believe that for such a reasonable price, an amazing afternoon with some of my closest friends and the knowledgable guidance of Chris, we were able to make wine that went down so smooth and worked well with so many different meals! My girls and I are already planning another afternoon like this at Vin Bon and can't wait to hear any new information that Chris has learned! I highly recommend picking up the phone as soon as possible and calling in to book your group bottling!

After many years at BYOB Wines it finally closed and we spent two years trying other wine shops in Brantford before finally finding Vin Bon on St. George Rd. They were the only one that met our expectations for quality wine, value and outstanding service. After our first batch we were hooked on using fresh grape juice rather than the wine kits we had been using at other outlets. We would never go back to the kits. We had such an amazing experience with Chris and Vin Bon Brantford for our wedding wine! We went in for the initial testing and Chris was fabulous! He explained everything and went through the processes. We tried numerous reds and whites before deciding on the winners. Then came COVID… we were really looking forward to going in to bottle and cork our own wine but obviously that wasn’t possible. Despite this, Chris went above and beyond in communicating continually to check in and keep us up to date as well as help us design the label for the wine all over email. He was so helpful and got it just right! He had to bottle and cork it all for us which was extra work on his part but he was always so positive when we were in contact! We came in to pick it up and he was again so happy and positive. Despite some changes in plans for us, this experience was by far a positive one! I put down a batch of wine in January, since then I received no communication on why it was taking so long. I had to make the initial contact to see why it wasn’t ready. There were different excuses made about it being a bad batch, which if that was the case, communication on that would make it a lot less frustrating. I finally got to go in to bottle my order last week(April), and we expressed how we were unhappy with the wait time, there was no apology, no discount offered and on top of that, we were short one bottle and he asked us to pay the 1.67. Needless to say, I’m taking my business elsewhere.

ten stars I love my new Brantford Vinbon. This is the only Vin Bon that has a bottle washing machine. The place was very clean, Chris had his mask on, used sanitizer , made sure I used sanitizer too, cleaned the area prior to my arrival & helped me bottle my wine in record time. I have 2 more batches being brewed now and plan on ordering more to fill up my empty wine cellar. He knows his wine well, was very informative. His location has lots of parking, and he helped me load my wine. i have more on order
