Every flavor I've tried of Shale Ridge is so delicious!! The Crisp Apple and Blueberry Hopps are my absolute favorites! The owners are extremely nice and friendly, and are very knowledgeable about their products. The property and tasting room is stunning! I will continue to order from this company often.

Excellent cider! I brought Cherry Apple, so good! It was just right, not too sweet or sour. I happened chance them at Fruit Farm Market. I didn't sample because I was wearing my mask but I took the chance and brought them. It was worth it!

Really enjoy Shale Ridge Estate Winery! The people working here are always super nice. You can bring your own lawn chairs and sit and listen and drink on their huge front lawn. They also have these really cool swings (you must book them ahead of time) that you can have cider, wine or flights with a charcuterie board. VERY nice afternoon. Will be back! OH....and if you sign up for their email you can get a coupon for your next time in the Winery.

Tasty ciders and I loved the atmosphere of this place. Very reasonable prices and friendly staff! The swings are comfortable and I found actually comforting, cause I fidget or can't sit still sometimes. So swaying back and forth was really nice while talking with friends????????.

I visited Shaleridge over the weekend after trying one of their ciders at a local restaurant, and it was awesome! I tired quite a few of the wines and ciders and everything was fantastic. I really loved the peach cider, the merit cab frac, the Farmerette rosé, and the baco noir, but everything was great, really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere as well!

It was worth the drive from Toronto. We got there late due to traffic however they still held out spot and we had a great time on the swinging seats. The wines and ciders they gave us to taste were delicious and the charcuterie board while not expectacular it wasn't bad either given the price and the items were tasty. What I didn't like was, while they had a washroom they also had a portable washroom which was really gross. It hadn't been cleaned in a while. I opened the door, took one look inside and marches right back. Not impressed. Over all it was a nice afternoon with nice wines and ciders but what made the day was the great company.

My Friend was given a Father's Day Gift from his son. I was the lucky person who got to go with him. Quaint and Charming town of Thedford has a new secret, Shale Ridge Estate Winery! We had a flight of 4 wines from which we could chose a 9 oz glass. All the wines were intruguing and refreshing, I chose the Rose and he, the Chardonnay. We both loved the Rose so much we both purchased a bottle! The setup of the Winery was Fun and Imaginative. The "picnic" table had a canopy to provide shade, which was incredibly welcome in the Hot Humidity. The twist? Instead a regular bench, there were FUN Swings to sit. Totally loved that. The owner came by to chat and welcome us. Very nice touch. I definitely will go back and highly recomend this Winery. BRAVO????

We picked up 3 wines at Juicy Fruit Orchards and Market on hwy..to Ipperwash..we saw a stand beside market and bought these...Riesling..Rose...Gamay... 2 ciders The tastes are very nice and smooth. We will visit the winery. It is a great idea to put the wines in the market. Great way to try them out!

They where busy when we got there. But was able to get us a table to use for 45min which is was amazing. Thief hard cider are good and the hot cider was also good . The food was hot and tasted great. Will be going back there.

We came here for the first time today (July 17th) and we were so happy with absolutely everything! Beautiful atmosphere, Fabulous customer service, loved our table and music! It is a special spot we will be making a regular part of our cottage visits. An especially great experience because of our waitress Alysha - thanks for everything, you were so attentive, welcoming and efficient!! We can't wait to come back!

I drove from Hamilton to check this winery out and I loved everything about it. The cutest winery you’ll ever go to! I was able to book the swing tables, I did have to book 4 weeks ahead for the weekend and time I wanted but I highly recommend if you can book ahead. First, the staff were AMAZING! Very nice and helpful. This winery allows you to bring your own food. We had the wine and cider tasting and a frosè, I recommend trying! Worth the drive if you’re out of town! I’ll definitely be going back!

Shale Ridge Winery is a cute little up and coming winery/cidery! We reserved a swing table with a couple charcuterie boards. Staff was friendly and organized. The space is picturesque with a pond, space for photos, and music. Cider was delicious! Great place for couples or a girls' lunch! We will be back!
