So glad we found this wonderful Ontario winery! It was on an Ontario Doors Open for the Hamilton area. The second that we walked in the door we felt like we were among friends in an open casual setting (with a large outdoor deck too). When I knocked over a vase someone scolded me with great humour and gave me a glass of their red. That was when I found out that she was one of the amazing owners - an historic family farm that was once part of the ED Smith Fruit Company. Some of the ancient orchards still stand behind the winery and you can see great wildlife as you sample their very very good reds and whites.

Went here for Mothers day lunch. Romantic setting family owners warm and very attentive. They will chat with you. Lunch was excellent..starting with a wonderful raspberry ice tea with gingerale and rosee wine. Then you got 2 wine samples with meal but could have more. Sandwiches egg salad / cucumber and cream cheese / curried chicken salad with carrots and celery and dip. Dessert was a delicious heart scone with home made jam and mascarpone. Call a Cab popular now. But most popular Crossroads in 2016. Itcwas delicious. A new batch is being made. It is a cross of 2 grapes and will be ready in 2019...takes 3 years to sit. Wonderful country setting..our 2nd visit we will be back!

Stopped by Ridgeway with my kids. It was awesome! No pressure to hurry. It's beautifully set up, atmosphere is very relaxed and quiet. Definitely a must visit for toursts & wine lovers.

Off the beaten path with a friendly and genuine vibe. Our server (Emily) was personable, knowledgable and attentive. The tasting room is causal and classy at the same time. There is an outdoor patio with seating and tables for nice weather that offers peaceful and pleasing views of the vineyards. The wines are solid and well priced. The Baco Noir 2018 was our standout favorite.

I ordered 6 bottles of Ridge Road Estate wines (combination of reds, a white and a rose). To my surprised, the order was filled and delivered by 5 pm the next day (on Good Friday)! The service provided was top notch. Great wines from a great local winery!

What a great little place! The lady working was so lovely and and encouraged us to take a seat outside and enjoy the view for our tasting. Such a relaxed vibe and a nice cosy unpretentious place. We really enjoyed trying their wines and left with a couple bottles ???????? We also saw a wild turkey in the field to the right of the vineyards!!!

Gorgeous winery. Patio is hell of a view. They don't wave tastings if you are buying a bottle. So be prepared. My favs were Bubbles and Riesling.

This is a fantastic winery. The bottles are priced well below what they could sell for and the staff are knowledgeable and quick. Emily helped us with a tasting and to chose some bottles for upcoming meals. The venue is also available for weddings and private bookings. We will be back!

On our drive to Toronto, we ventured a few miles off the highway and stopped here to have a picnic. We tasted their great wine and enjoyed a few glasses on their patio with the picnic we brought. The owner was very warm and hospitable. Absolutely lovely.

This is a beautiful property. Nicely finished lobby and clean, modern washroom. Lots of shaded patio areas to have a glass of wine. There is a small pond with a fountain and a deck extended over it to enjoy. The baco noir was excellent.

Surprise Surprise! Over this past holiday long weekend I was traveling towards Grimsby ON from Stoney Creek and came across Ridge Road Winery by pure luck. Since it was the holiday Monday we weren't in a rush for once, so my wife & I decided to pull in and follow the car that was slowing down ahead of us. Glad we did because the wine selection was absolutely fantastic, and the serenity offered by the property was just what we needed. It was very simple with a few picnic tables & umbrellas set up on the grass area, but it was also super relaxing because it felt like we were hanging out in our friends backyard. I gave Ridge Road 4 stars simply because they were in the middle of major patio extension buildout which is going to be amazing once it's complete, and the limited snack options. Service was great, and they were very respectful of giving guests plenty of space. If you're located in the GHA and don't feel like making the longer drive to NOTL than I 100% reco this spot. Enjoy!!

Fantastic people with beautiful wines to tantalize the palate... If you love wine you must visit! I recommend their baco noir if you prefer the softer side of reds with fruit characteristics. Their rosé is summer in a bottle -so bright with luscious fruit. Finally, their Riesling for those with a sweet tooth.

Like others have said, this is a true hidden gem. For years I've enjoyed outings at the wineries and this is the first year I've experienced this beautiful treasure. The location is superb with stillness around, service that's true to the core, and the wine is wonderful! We truly enjoyed our time there, so much so we had to go back a week later. Looking forward to cozy wine time by the fire making s'mores for our next visit. Can't ask for more!

Stopped by Ridgeway with my Mom. It was awesome! Great service, wines are outstanding. The $10 for wine tasting well worth it. 4 good size tastings and a small snack. No pressure to hurry. It's beautifully set up with heaters and blankets, atmosphere is very relaxed and quiet. When it gets really cold they will be serving mulled wine. Definitely a must visit for wine lovers.

Had such a wonderful experience at this quaint family run winery. Made reservations online a few days before through email. Got a response very quickly. Visited for a sunset wine tasting outdoors on a Saturday (bring a blanket, if you’re coming in the fall!). They had live music which we really enjoyed! We ordered a flight of 4 different types of wine for $10 (comes with a little snack). Loved the red “Call Me A Cab”! Also ordered the $20 snack bundle that comes with a very good assortment of food (diff cheeses, crackers, nuts, chocolates, jam, bread). Very filling, plenty for 2 people. Best of all was the service, from start to finish, we felt so welcomed. You can tell the owners take pride and enjoy what they do. We noticed throughout the night, they took the time to slow down and chat with many of the guests, someting you don’t always see at these places. We definitely will be coming back (regularly)!

This winery is a hidden gem! The 2017 Cab Franc is heavenly. Love love the mulled wine in the winter, please keep making it! It is a MUST try. Can't wait to visit this winter and sit around back next to a fire with my warm mulled wine!

This winery is worth checking out. Enjoyed the flight of wine. Loved sipping wine by the fire watching the deer, turkeys and hawks in the vineyards. Jane and her staff were amazing. The mulled wine and gingerbread cookies were a pleasant surprise and nice touch. Looking forward to going back again.

This place is nicely decorated, quiet. Nice people, she was providing all the details about each product very preciously. You can go inside the garden, please don't touch the grapes. And you can enjoy the food outside and inside as well.

A very quiet and serene place. We went there on a Saturday afternoon and it was decently busy.The seating was spread out as per CoVid protocols.Be sure to carry a jacket or warm clothing since it is quite windy. The staff was very friendly and courteous.They have wine tasting option where you can choose 4 different wines from their list, for $12. I personally liked their Reisling and White bubbles. Loved their asparagus tortilla chips and salsa. I wish there were some more food options though. only down side to this place was there was a single washroom and it very filthy. Hope they work on keeping it clean throughout the day.

Unique and boutique. Casual and inviting is the backdrop for some very exceptional wines. The view and area are amazing. Great special events..i.e. Valetine's Day and Grimsby's Peach Festival. Owned and operated by the same family since 1800's.
