Was in for tour and tasting on Sunday. Beautiful place, the owners/brothers who were host were great. They were happy to talk and answer any questions. We had a charcuterie board that was amazing. Was great variety that included local items that really added to the whole experience.

A unique experience in the area. Beautiful tasting room, delicious wines and friendly informative staff. Reds, Whites, Rosé (still and sparkling) and ciders available for tasting. Great spot for an impromptu picnic. Cheese, crackers and charcuterie plates available for purchase as well. A great break for a Saturday afternoon.

Small family owned location and all the wines are from grapes in the property. 3 samples for free, 4 samples are $5. Tours are available however we didn’t partake. Many of the wines we found to be spicy/smoky/intense, so if you like those, Maelstrom is a great stop!

This place is a hidden gem! Winery boasts great service and beautiful ambiance. Spouse and I do Niagara and Prince Edward County wineries and we had some reservations about Huron Perth. Was very impressed with their offerings. They do a very fine run of bourbon barrels. Go try them out!

A short drive from Stratford On Hwy. 8 just past Seaforth. A very picturesque setting overlooking the vineyards. Lots of seating inside and out. Can t wait for a warm afternoon to have a glass of wine on the patio. It's definitely worth the drive. Great selection of wines to choose from.

Came here for a wine tasting with a bachelorette party. Our hostess was great at recommending which wines we taste. We all agreed that the ice cider is amazing and left with a bottle of it. I would return here for more wine and with a group of friends.

We loved it!! We sat outside at a table and each of us chose the wines we wanted to taste. Then our waitress brought each if our first samples and we had ample time to taste and enjoy. She brought out the rest of the samples at a nice pace. There was entertainment as well. We loved the wines and we all ended up buying some. A lovely, relaxing experience. Also, someone else had ordered the charcuterie plate...looked awesome! We'll go back for sure!

My husband, mother-in-law and I had a lovely visit to Maelstrom. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, we enjoyed a tasting each (4 good sized samples for $5, fee waived if you buy a bottle) on the patio. We all enjoy different styles of wine, and there was something there for everyone. The man serving us was very knowledgeable about the history of the winery and the grapes. They have food (with gluten-free and vegan options), although we didn't have any. There was also a selection of cheeses, jellies, etc. available for purchase. Plus, the washrooms were wonderfully kept.

Obviously a newish winery, doing successful experiments with newish grape hybrids. Pleasant people, wines were decent (on par with SW Ontario) although a touch pricey for what you get (also common to the area). If you are going to be in the Bayfield area anyway, it's worth a brief side trip.

Awesome afternoon drive with a stop at Maelstrom Winery. We had our dog with us and no issues. Actually they brought a bowl of fresh water for her. Great Canadian wine. Nice relaxing visit. Great outdoor seatings.

Another hidden gem. This is a beautiful place with a great selection of wines (quality not quantity). We had a flight of red and white wines and all of them were outstanding. Also, the charcuterie board had superb varieties even if you are a vegetarian/vegan. Finally, the live music was enjoyable and the scenery was beautiful. Highly recommended!

A group of us visited Maelstrom Winery on a schedule tour on September 19th. We were seated outside in a beautiful area. Unfortunately that was the only positive part of our experience. We had a server, wearing a white t-shirt, who approached our table and immediately seemed annoyed he had to serve us. Two of us asked if we could only have white wine to which he commented "i can't have everyone switching up'. Ok I can understand how that could be confusing however the tone was unnecessary. We had pre-paid for 4 tastings for 8 of us. I personally only received two pours, which were minimal to say the least. The server didn't explain anything to us or talk about the winery at all. When we asked for our third pour, after waiting for quite a while, we asked if we could have our last two pours since he was taking a while. He said 'no, you guys are leaving soon anyways.' We also asked for our 8th serving since we paid for 8 and he poured one tasting into an 8th glass. He then left. Honestly, we have been to a fair amount of wineries and despite the beautiful atmosphere, this was the worst service we have ever received. I do not recommend this winery based on the terrible service we were given and will not be back. I highly recommend that you don't spend your time here either.

Our extended family did a winery tour here and loved every minute of it. Dave was amazing and tolerated our crazy random questions taking it all in stride. He was very friendly, knowledge and fun! We would absolutely recommend taking the tour here and the wines were awesome too!

Stumbled upon this hidden gem after seeing the sign on Hwy 8 between Seaforth and Clinton. Made the spur of the moment decision to turn and drive the 1km to check it out and what a wonderful decision it was. All the wines we taste tested were amazing but I think the Petite Pearl 2017 was my personal favourite. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable. I very quickly felt right at home, relaxed and welcome. The atmosphere is relaxing and sitting in the pavilion along side the vineyards with a gentle summer breeze, enjoying a glass of fantastic Ontario wine was just a perfect afternoon. It well worth stopping by.

Sarah was our server, she did an excellent job! All estate wines. One of my favorites was the Chardonnay Reserve. Order the classic chartuterie platter.

Haven in the midst of the rains yesterday, sat in sheltered pavilion to share a bottle of cabernet franc and chardonnay with a charcuterie board. The wines were really nice and smooth, the charcuterie board had fun cheeses (the one with cumin was delicious), flavoured pecans, kale and dill chips, bruschetta, and really lovely dips. Their gift shop has some of these items to buy and take home, amazingly scented soaps, and lots of really intriguing items. The setting in the midst of rural Ontario surrounded by grapevines is lovely. And the Maelstrom team was welcoming, informative and extremely accommodating. Great destination when touring Southern Ontario.
