Do yourself a favour and visit this restaurant. The patio has a lovely ambiance. It is very cozy and charming. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and make great recommendations. I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of my food. Our meal was exceptional with beautiful presentation, and we were pleasantly surprised to see the food is held to a particularly high standard. Absolutely the best meal we have had in a while. They have a fun and creative cocktail menu, and the desserts are unmatchable. I would come back here again and again.

Food was delicious......octopus was done to PERFECTION which is always a sign of an excellent chef. Inside is surprisingly large to allow private conversations.with spacious seating. Waitress was friendly, present but not hovering. A special evening enjoyed by all of us. Congrats to the owners and staff for giving Brantford an unique "big city" dining experience.

Finally! A well done resto bar in Brantford. I would suggest this place holds up much farther than Brantford as well! Its quite obvious the chef has some rounded experience and is in his/her element here. All dishes are really well executed and well balanced. Presentation is on point! The floor is spacious and super friendly. The addition of the patio is an absolute bonus for warmer nights. The bar is also roomy and sitting here for the night creates an experience within itself. The bartenders are super friendly and know what they’re doing. There is some serious creativity here!! This place is busy! The news has caught on! Get there!!

Amazing pallet of taste on every plate. Each plate is served with an on point presentation. The staff are friendly, caring and knowledgable about their menu. The decor is inviting and warm, with an up class flare. Everything about this place makes you want to keep coming back. Prices are around 20-30 a plate.

Wine Tasting Experience My wife & I were present for the second wine tasting event last night, and let me tell you.....it was awesome! 4 course meal (surprised around every corner, never a disappointment) paired with the best wine......presentation was absolutely superb! Excellent restaurant in Brantford. An unusual menu (in a very good way) that is highly unique and offers many types of foods and servings that other places do not offer (i.e. duck, squab, venison, veal, etc). Service was excellent; staff is friendly and the presentation of the food is top-notch, creative and high-class. I ordered the duck breast (medium-rare) and it was excellent. Two small suggestions: 1) describing certain items more specifically as some customers may-be unsatisfied if they are more conventional in terms of their pallet tastes. For example; the Greek and beet salads are classified under salads but are not typical salads; the chocolate tart is more of a fudge than a tart, etc. 2) offering some type of home-made bread that parallels the type of food in the restaurant. Overall a gem of a place in Brantford. Highly recommended!

Just enjoyed lunch here and it was delicious! Three of us enjoyed various meals: Greek salad, Chicken Souvlaki, and the Fume Burger. I'm salivating just thinking about it! Service was wonderful and friendly, loved the atmosphere and setting, and washrooms were spotless! Can't wait to check out the patio in the summer. Reminded me of the great places in downtown Hamilton. So nice to have a place like this in Brantford, and in such a great neighbourhood. Prices were also better than I anticipated. Check it out, see how great it is, then go back again and again.

Not such a great review (altho I was hoping it would be)! Had a take-out business lunch from Fume today. Ordered their signature salad with shrimp :) Salad to have roasted squash and smoked beets, celeriac (not sure but I got a few fronds of arugula), beets were not smoked but PICKLED :/. No idea about smoked mustard dressing.... Don't think I saw any pistachios. Extremely disappointing :( Small portion for price. But shrimp were good. I don't mind paying for a good meal, not necessarily a big meal.... just what is promoted/described in menu. I was so looking forward to a new favourite take out treat.......

Salt and garlic overload on the burger and fries. Tomato Soup tasted like pasta sauce and the Créme brûlée was gritty and watery. The Cheese cake was excellent. I want to like this place, it just misses the mark at the prices charged.

Had a great experience here! Had a Tom Collins and Blueberry Mojito for cocktails, very good and cool take on the Mojito, both were delicious. Had a glass of the Italian white, also great. For food, me and the boo shared the Charchuture (however u spell it) board to start which was great! He had the Out of The Smoker feature which was a bacon wrapped steak that came with truffle fries and some roasted veg. It was AMAZING, I would get this again 10/10 was delicious. I got the mushroom risotto with the scallops, this is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. The scallops were amazing, super delicious! As well as the mushrooms. So much flavour as well as an on point texture. The only thing was that the risotto was over salted in my opinion (very salty). Besides that, everything was super good!! Will be returning. The bill was $160 for us two but that was to be expected! You’re paying for the great ambiance and atmosphere as well as the great quality of food and drink.

I don't know why I didn't try this place sooner, but the important part is that I finally did. We were seated at our patio immediately upon arrival, and even a little earlier than our reservation time. The patio was quite busy but the staff made sure to be attentive to each table and everything was served in a timely manner. For an appetizer we had the crab croquette which was delicious and perfectly prepared. For an entree my husband had duck with brandied cherries, date purée, Greek lemon potatoes, carrots, beets, and asparagus. He said it was the best restaurant meal he's ever had(and we've been to some really great restaurants all over the place so this is something). The duck was cooked perfectly medium rare, and he said it was really the little things, such as cooking the carrots in flavoured water, that made the meal. I had the burrata ravioli in a wine cream sauce and I added chicken to my dish(you can also add shrimp or lobster). It was really really good, lots of creamy sauce, a whole bunch of deliciously cheese stuffed raviolis, and an entire chicken breast served on top and sprinkled with fresh arugula. I took half of my meal home, it was so filling.. Which sadly meant I didn't try the toblerone cheesecake, but next time for sure. The only thing that I think I could really be less positive about is their lack of local Niagara wines, there was only one.. Which is the one we had, a nice Reisling which paired nicely with all of our food(even the duck which we would normally choose a red to pair). I'd like to see a few more VQA wines on the wine list, but other than that the restaurant is wonderful and I highly recommend it.

Really amazing food and excellent service. Definitely the place to go if you're in Brantford. I recommend the Fume Salad and Evolution. The best high end Greek food I've ever had. Got the chicken souvlaki and cheese plate but, as the other reviews mention, the octopus was the standout. Spoiled me for life.

Was not a fan. I ordered the beef tenderloin and got a cold beef cheek on the side. Don't know if it's just me but I feel like they have way over complicated their menu. They're trying too hard with too many unique ingredients. Work on doing less better. My friend ordered vegetarian gnocchi and got gritty potato gnocchi and what tasted like pickled vegetables. Not worth the money. Won't go back unless they revamp the menu. Also the menu that's posted is not complete.

Had an excellent dinner At Fume recently. Good sized menu with trendy, healthy ingredients and cocktails. Our server was incredible and ensured our experience was exactly what we wanted. Recommendations, checking in and even took our photo for us before we left. Safety measures was in place. Parking in small lot and on side streets. The entry way isn’t overly accessible but the restaurant definitely is. This is a nice spot for a date night or a special dinner. Hidden gem!!

Wow! It was fantastic, bottom of the sea app was enough for two and delicious. lamb shank fell off the bone and the duck was amazing. am so glad this place opened up here, saved us a drive to Toronto to get this level of food. Just keep in mind this isn't one of the cookie cutter chains , it's higher end with a great price. Summer on the patio with be great with the signature cocktails!

Nice change from the crummy little Chinese restaurant that used to occupy this space. The dining area is nicely finished and enough menu selection to appease most people. I had a bison steak which was very good. My wife's hamburger she said was very peppery and she could only eat half. Also had garlic brie appetizer which we both enjoyed. Shared baklava dessert was really good and plenty to share. If I were to change anything, I would say it was too dark. It was kind of hard to read the menu. Total bill with wine was $123.

Had a wonderful meal at Fume this past weekend. First visit and we will definitely be back. Our waitress Daintry was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I have to say that the house Old Fashioned was excellent. My friend and I decided to share 3 different plates: the artichokes and two specials: scallops and branzino. The artichokes were excellent....we'd never had the whole choke served to us before. The flavours were amazing. The scallops had delicate chestnut crumble as well as chestnut pure which was a nice fall dish. The branzino was rolled into cylinders and stuffed with lobster and again the flavours were wonderful. Finished with house made toblerone cheesecake which was fantastic. We can't wait to go back.

With service to match Highly recommend We enjoyed the Duck feature, which included duck breast, duck egg and duck leg Also a variation dish of beef tenderloin and beef cheek. Another delicious meal. Enjoyed the octopus. Cooked perfectly and the green curry sauce was delicious. The lobster bisque was so good. Highly recommend those options although they are not always on the menu. Fabulous!

Celebrated my 70th birthday there last week. Four of us went with the 4 course tasting menu. You don't know what you are getting till it comes to the table. It makes for a very entertaining evening. From the oysters, to the butter poached lobster, to the beef cheek with fois gras & finishing with a venison chop we all thought it was one of the best meals we've ever had. (And we've eaten there a few times already). The beef cheek didn't just melt in your mouth, it melted on the fork. The chef is a rock star and the service was impeccable. We will be talking about it for weeks.

Fume never disappoints. The food is always amazing and the staff are very friendly. I am so happy that a restaurant like this made its way to Brantford. Due to lockdown we had to experience Fume via curbside. Even though the experience of indoor dining wasn't had it was still a great experience. An independent business able to pivot quickly and adapt to the curbside so quickly and effectively is amazing and great for us! Ordering over the phone was so easy and the last was super nice with a bit of charm. Not the average, I hate my job, waitress. It was refreshing right from the start. Time to pick up was an option, but we were in no rush so left it open to whenever the restaurant could accommodate. Think it was 45 mins? Either way, it wasnt long at all. We arrived about 10 mins early, but called in to let them know we were there (but early). Someone came out right away to accept payment and let us know it was close to being done. Food came out just before our 6pm pick up time and the service in the parking lot was better then most places here in Brantford. Kudos for a great curbside experience ???? Now dinner.... Wow! The food was still hot when we got home. We put it all out for kids, husband and I. Shared a little of this and took a little of that. It was so good we all wanted everyone to try bits of everything. We had ribs, tenderloin, burger, brie, scallops, truffle fries. Every single bite was fantastic! Hats off to the chef as that was terrific. We eat out a lot. I am also celiac. These two things are hard to accommodate. The same ol' restaurants over and over. The same food over and over. Fume has so many gluten free options, I was shocked when I saw their menu. And it's different!!!! I could go beyond a salad, or burger with gross bread for the bun. I could get appetizers! And it all tasted amazing. Sorry this review is rather long, if you've made it this far.. thanks! I just want to stress this place is worth every penny and if right now you're looking for something delicious and a local place to support, order here. Went to their patio to celebrate our 5th year anniversary. We were supposed to go to Greece to celebrate but like everyone else we are home bound. However, the Moussaka transported me to Greece for the duration of my meal. For such a creamy dish, it was light and so delicious. Probably the best Moussaka I’ve ever had. We were informed it’s the owner’s mother’s recipe (mom is from Greece). Wait staff were super friendly and accommodating. We also shared the beat salad which was tasty and hubby had the fish and chips. I didn’t get to try any of his fish but the fries were super tasty too! We live in the neighbourhood so we will likely be back often.

We cannot say enough good things about Fume. It was our first time there last night and it was wonderful!! Our server Angeliqa (I hope I’m close with the spelling, lol) was lovely. She was very friendly & very kind! The menu is OUT of this world!!!.. the food came stunning to look at and even more delicious to taste. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the atmosphere can’t be beat. The owner is a very nice man with a staff that appears to be very happy to be there. I would give it 10 stars if I could and I cannot wait to return!!

First of all I misunderstood about making a reservation first to dine there but the gentleman that came out wasn't phased and we were lucky enough to get a table. We were from out of town and have been dying to go here since February and I have to say they really lived up to expectations. I ordered everything I'd wanted to try there: apps = scallops, salad = beets, main = lobster tail. Not exactly they cheaper options but so very worth it in my opinion. Our waitress Ashley was great about explaining the different sizing of the portions and flavoring. We were having issues with the bees coming around once our food was out so she very kindly put out cups of juice to draw them away from us. My mom ordered: app = calamari, main = fish and chips (Mahi mahi as the fish). Again very tasty, tartar sauce was freshly made and she loved it. The calamari had a dipping sauce we've never had before with a peanut flavoring very unique and well liked! The whole experience was totally worth the drive :)

For a restaurant that has newly opened it is very polished no major issue. Both burger and chicken souvlaki were enjoyed. Mixed drink was the surprise of the meal being very good flavours. Already planning to return for supper to experience the menu. Really appreciated the option to email the receipt and the paper straws for environmentally friendly options. I can only imagine how this restaurant will get even better with time.

What a great little place. Service was awesome. The food was excellent a very different menu but the chef knows what he is doing. Parking is not great but overall a great experience. About time we had a good restaurant in.our area we need more. All the best.

This was our first time trying this restaurant. The staff was very friendly. We got our wine fast which was great! The ceasar salad was very small for the price we paid. The calamari was overcooked, very tough. The dressing was homemade and pretty good but missing something. I ordered the stuffed chicken, it came with risotto and roasted vegetables. The food was overall very bland. The duck that was also ordered at our table was very bland also. The roasted vegetables had no seasoning whatsoever...just olive oil? The beef tenderloin my sister ordered was the best out of all but her potatoes were raw and crunchy. Our main course took an hour to get to our table. We had already finished our bottle of wine! Overall, We tried it but won't go back. Not worth the money we spent on this meal.

Tried to surprise my husband for his birthday since this is one of his favourite places, I called to make reservations and told the man I spoke with my husband has a medical exemption and cannot wear a face covering, he then asked if he can provide proof, I said it’s illegal to ask someone for that then asked what it was exactly, when I told him, he said “that sounds more like a preference than a concern” he said my husband could dine outside but cannot use the restrooms or go inside. Absolute despicable!! I’m saddened by this type of discrimination from this place, to feel ‘safer’ while making someone suffer because of what HE thinks is serious or not. Will not be leaving my money at this place anymore.

Celebrated my 70th birthday there last week. Four of us went with the 4 course tasting menu. You don't know what you are getting till it comes to the table. It makes for a very entertaining evening. From the oysters, to the butter poached lobster, to the beef cheek with fois gras & finishing with a venison chop we all thought it was one of the best meals we've ever had. (And we've eaten there a few times already). The beef cheek didn't just melt in your mouth, it melted on the fork. The chef is a rock star and the service was impeccable. We will be talking about it for weeks.

What a perfect night ❤️, wow so many positive I don’t know where to start. Our waitress was amazing she went above and beyond, as first timers we need a little extra help deciding. From the perfect drink choice to the extra piece of fish she was sooooo helpful. Now the food can we just say OH MY it was beyond amazing, melt in your mouth amazing, wanting more amazing! We can not wait to go back, definitely a 11/10 if not more.

Fume RestoBar is AMAZING - from placing the order to pickup, service was friendly and fast - ready for pick up in just 20 mins! Food was delivered right to the car safely and piping hot! We order Caesar salads, one with chicken; truffle fries; smokey mac and cheese; the beets! salad; and chef’s feature burger, the fried cheeseburger, and a slice of their toblerone cheesecake and omg ya’ll - you gotta eat here!!???? Everything was SO good - flavourful, fresh, and great portions!! It was absolutely a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ dinner! I can’t wait til they’re open again for dine in to go and enjoy the entire Fume experience, but for now, I will be ordering takeout from them as often as I can!

I had heard the burgers here are amazing and can now say I agree wholeheartedly!! I tried the feature burger which was topped with calamari, tomato salsa and arugula while others at my table had the signature Fume Burger. Top marks from all of us. The added bonus was the sweet potato fries dusted in pepper....yum!

I visited for dinner on a weekend night. The menu is a little on the pricey side, but all of the food was very delicious. I would definitely reccomend this restaurant to anyone with a bit of an adventurous palate, or just looking for more than your average restaurant.

Just went here for the first time, the first week of November. Atmosphere and staff were wonderful! The Calamari was cooked perfectly with the very tasty dipping sauce. I had the Beef Tenderloin, which melted in my mouth. My partner… well let’s just say he’s pretty close to chef material. He had the duck, and was so impressed. We liked the wine selection and felt completely full, with the amount of food, without having dessert. His words as we walked to our vehicle, were “I don’t mind paying the money when the food is excellent!!! We will definitely be coming back.

My wife and I dined here last Friday. Their patio was open with all precautions in place. They had a scallop ceviche special, which I ordered. along with the lamb and beef kabob. My wife ordered two appetizers - the shrimp tacos and the truffle fries. My scallop ceviche was amazing - very flavourful with perfect hints of sweetness from the watermelon, and all the other components like cilantro, sesame seeds, the crispy tortilla and the sauces. My kabob came on a soft pita so I wrapped it up like a hot dog. It was excellent with a nice blend of spices in the meat and pickled onions as condiment. My wife said her shrimp tacos were very good - the shrimps looked like they were done in a tempura batter with good shrimp to batter ratio. I tried some of the truffle fries - again very good, and cooked the way we like them - on the well done side so they were extra crispy. My highlight of the meal was the ceviche. I hope this finds its' way on to the permanent menu - or for at least the whole summer. Overall a very good dinner for our first one, of certainly many more.
