We had a less than satisfactory experience at this winery. It was our first stop on our wine tour; we were in town for a bachelorette weekend. There were about 12-14 ladies in our party. We walked in and the woman who helped us told us it was her daughters winery. While she poured us wine she was not interactive, seemed disinterested and annoyed to serve us, and was not as outgoing or excited to tell us about their winery and the wines as others we visited on our tour. We left disappointed but thinking, oh well we have 4 more wineries to come. One of the women in our party bought some bottles as we were leaving and the staff who had helped us (the owners mother) stated to her “You know you should tell your friends that they can’t just go to wineries and not buy anything. This isn’t an experience it’s our family business. We won’t be planning on doing these tours anymore because we aren’t a spectacle.” Truthfully, a lot of us didn’t buy wine from this winery because plain and simple, it was not great! And as my girlfriend was about to pay for her wine and this staff member said, as above, what she said, my girlfriend said afterwards she wished she could’ve returned it as we just left with a sour taste in our mouths. On our tour we went to The Hatch, Quail’s Gate, and Mission Hill. Would highly, highly recommend these wineries over Beaumont. Definitely will NOT be returning, and as a Kelowna local, have told many people about our experience there and how disappointed we were, and those people can’t believe how we were treated and how this woman spoke about our group. Wineries ARE an experience. Wine tasting is an experience. We paid for our tour so we aren’t obligated to buy anything, from anywhere. We were left with sour tastes in our mouths not only due to the wine, but the service. Would NOT recommend.
