This place was a bit of a gem really. The seasoning on the chicken was flavourful and crunchy, the cod was light and crispy and the fries had a good crunch to then be dipped or sprayed with vinegar to your heart's delight. The perfect beige meal.

(Translated) Infect! We accidentally stopped at this restaurant because it was the only one open in the region in this season (early May). We ordered two hot burgers. Result? We received two overcooked, poor quality hamburger steaks surrounded by two slices of soggy sandwich bread under three glasses of sauce. The mash was bland and the peas / carrots had no taste and texture. A disaster, even my dog wouldn't want such porridge. Go your way! Respect your stomach and run away! (Original) Infecte ! Nous nous sommes arrêtés par hasard dans ce restaurant car c’était le seul ouvert dans la région en cette saison (début mai). Nous avons commandé deux hot burgers. Résultat ? Nous avons reçu deux steak hachés trop cuits et de piètre qualité entourés de deux tranches de pain de mie détrempées sous trois verres de sauce. La purée était fade et les petits pois / carottes n’avaient aucun goût et texture. Une catastrophe, même mon chien ne voudrait d’une bouillie pareille. Passez votre chemin ! Respectez votre estomac et fuyez !

A wonderful spot on 230 as u head towards Cape Bonavista. We have stopped here for lunch many times over the years as we visit. Excellent service and local home cooking at its finest. We will return on our next visit to the area for certain.

There are not many restaurants in this area for lunch/dinner. We visited this place for a much needed lunch before a hike, after leaving another cafe/restaurant because it was completely full. Good value items on the menu, convenient location.

the food is amazing, the service is unbelievable, and I even met the owner while I was there and they didn't want to see me have a bad day, the are an amazing spot and if you like to drink then your all set cause you can go there to eat and if you go at the right time and day you can walk right to the bar witch is in a connecting building

Terrible food, terrible service. We waited an hour for food with 2 young children while we watched 4 other tables get served, eat and leave. It seemed that they were serving the people they knew first. We finally had to leave without being fed because the kids were so hungry they were getting fussy. We asked for our food to take out and it took another 10 minutes after that to get our food. It was small portions and not good quality especially for the price you pay. Awful experience. We are furious.

Nothing else open in the area or we would have turned around and left. Floor was so sticky our shoes were sticking as we walked to our table. I actually stopped to see if I had gum stick to the bottom of my shoes.The table and chairs were grubby. The food was ok. Should close for a week and really give the place a good cleaning.

Cute diner, incredible paintings on the wall for sale - $700 each or so. Food is good, atmosphere is quiet. Lots of pub food variety.

The fisherman's seafood platter is tasty and good choice for 2 people to share. Have it with a screech rum on the rocks and Pepsi on the side.

I don't even want to give the Galley Restaurant one star. Maybe for the server who genuinely seemed to feel bad for the poor service, lateness and quality of the food. Avoid -unless the other restaurants are full as happened to us and you just want French fries. :-( They may be able to pull that off. Seriously bad all around. I don't like to say negative things about people trying to run a small business. But they should really rethink everything.
