The quality of the food was fantastic, and the service very friendly. It's a destination that we will definitely be visiting again soon in the near future!

We tried to visit at 2pm this weekend, but after waiting 15 minutes at the entry, where guests are asked to check in, we decided to leave. The grounds looked lovely, but service seemed to be a bit slow and I think that maybe there just wasn't enough staff since servers were busy. What was a bit disconcerting was the lack of masks or safety precautions. Guests eating or wine tasting wouldn't have masks, obviously, but none of the serving or kitchen staff wore masks. We also saw a guest come over to where we were waiting and ignore the hand sanitizer before taking cutlery from a communal box and returning to his table. Risks are lowered now, but there are still some common sense precautions that should be in place.

Stopped by on a hot August night. Very busy however we were seated and served in a very timely manner. Had the rib eye special and the better half, the arctic char, both were excellent! Grilled vegetables were also done perfectly. Friendly staff with great service. Definitely worth the trip to Westport!

Uniquely magical, fun and welcoming experience. Food is outstanding, quality and simply delicious. Our last visit was for takeout on a Saturday evening in December. The fire pit offered comfort, atmosphere and warmth as we enjoyed a glass of wine/craft beer under the stars and the lights of the Christmas season. Staff makes you feel at home.

What a great spot! We drove up from KINGSTON and had wine and a delicious wood fired pizza outside. The salad was really yummy with a mild goat cheese crumble, cranberries and maple dressing! There were hens wondering free and music playing! Great atmosphere! The sculpture park is small but nice to wonder around with the view of Upper Rideau Lake in the background.

My boyfriend and I visited the vineyard for dinner. Despite not making a reservation we were seated right away and the service was excellent! We ordered pizza & wine and everything was delicious. Pizzas are made in an outdoor wood oven, the crust was thin but sturdy and it made for a great meal where we were full, but not overly so after we'd finished. It was quite busy but we did not have to wait long for anything. The seating outside was perfect and it was amazing to watch the sun set. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice dinner at a scenic spot. I was also pleasantly surprised by the bill, we ordered appetizers & dessert with our meal and the final total was actually less than I would have expected. Overall a wonderful experience.

Been waiting for months to visit and it did not disappoint!! Beautiful beautiful place , amazing view , great atmosphere!! Started off with a small walk towards the vines and walked around the winery , then enjoyed some wine tasting and finally sat down to eat !! Oysters were fresh and delicious , ordered 2 brick oven pizza that were out of this world and finished off with steak and juicy jumbo shrimp with a nice bottle of wine !! Highly highly recommended , worth the drive !! Our only concern were the table and chair , not very comfortable to sit and enjoy wine for some time !

My husband and I stumbled onto the vineyard last year on our Anniversary and to my surprise he wanted to stop ( hes not a wine drinker ) we had the best experience he tried the cider and I had a glass of wine we left purchasing each a bottle which we will open this year when we travel back to the vineyard for our Anniversary again the staff and the area are just gorgeous cant wait to see everyone again thanks for such a great experience

What a great evening and meal at Scheuermann Winery! After a bit of a rough start, the finish was excellent I had made reservations for our party of five...which the winery had somehow lost. They graciously seated us anyway. Good thing. We arrived at 5pm and the place very quickly filled up shortly thereafter. Great atmosphere in the open air seating area in front of the wood-fired ovens. Food was excellent, wine was too. They are pouring Bellwoods craft beer too. Perhaps when Westport Brewing gets off and running, we can see their offerings here as well.

Excellent service, beautiful setting. The pizza was delicious and came out hot. The wine was just right. They have a dog area for the patio so it's ok to bring your dog. The only thing that keeps it from being a five star rating is a lack of umbrellas at tables. When it's sunny and hot they really are needed. Definitely will go back.

The pizza is fantastic, baked in an outdoor wood fired oven. Francis makes some killer hot sauce, and is willing to bottle it up for you to take some home. The wine is fun and fruity, and the Pinot Noir went down quickly at home with a nice braised beef dish. The views are great, and it looks like 2019 will be the real start to wedding season at the winery. Try out some sparkling cider while you can, sitting outside at the live edge table. Try not to fee Simba any leftovers.

Visited in June with some friends while we stayed in the area. Loved the art installments and the dogs. Pizza and wine were great. But the salad was the highlight for me. I still tell people about it. The large salad is big enough for two people to share with multiple helpings, and trust me you will want multiple helpings. I wish they would bottle and sell the salad dressing like they do their wine, both are fantastic!

Its worth the drive to Scheuermann's in Westport! A wonderful friendly locally owned and run winery/ restaurant. Most of the wine is from on premise grown grapes, local beers, and first us non-drinkers try the ginger ale- its like old time ginger beer. The wood fired pizzas are very nice (fyi they use garlic oil on most pies, it adds a lot of flavour but we ask for extra napkins to soak some of it up). The salad is excellent. There is also a veggie / pita chip & dip plater for a quick snack if pizza is not your thing. They DO NOT have a kids menu so if bringing little ones I'd suggest packing something from home. The grounds offer lots of well spaced seating, most tables have umbrellas and a large tent covers 8 of so tables. The staff & owners have always been friendly and just so nice - its easy to keep coming back. Dinners - they offer evening dinners. We've only been once but wow was it excellent. Definitely worth the price - make sure you come hungry, the plate size was generous ????. Notes: This place can be very busy, sometimes service can be slow due to volume. Not a complaint just an FYI. The prices are inline with other winery restaurants- i.e. not a cheap eat (we ordered 1 pizza, sm salad, a bottle of wine and a pop - $70) but we thought it was well worth it for a lovely afternoon lunch with nice people. Go & enjoy ????

Our experience was not the best. Waited over an hour for our meal and one pizza soggy in the middle and one steak way over cooked. Found it very expensive and better communication is needed on what is available and the cost. Maybe it was our timing as we were there on a busy Saturday night.

Can't get enough of this place. It isn't the summer without as many visits to Scheuermann's as possible and now that it's still warm, they are open in October! What a wonderful place to spend a warm fall afternoon. Here you are treated like family. Amazing service, fantastic food, delectable wine and friendly dogs to greet you! The setting is beautiful and the wood-fired pizza is the best in the region! I can't wait to go back next year! Pro tip: If you are going in the fall, remember to call ahead, they might be closed as this is a family run restaurant and winery and they are very busy right now, but they deserve a break from being awesome all the time.

The good: - wonderful location; beautiful grounds - super friendly, very efficient and knowledgeable staff - very welcoming - the wood-fired pizzas are truly amazing; great value and worth the visit just on their own The not so good: - amidst Covid, the weekend wood grill dinner menu is understandably limited: either a 17oz! rib steak or a fish dish (salmon/walleye). The steak plate is humongous with super tasty mashed sweet potatoes, green beans and roasted beets. But a 17oz steak? Really? In this day and age? Maybe suitable for a pro hockey player, sumo wrestler or overweight American tourist but way too much food for the average diner. And honestly, at $47, a mediocre piece of meat, at best. Perfectly cooked as requested (medium rare) but chewy and completely unmemorable. Stick to the pizzas. - It’s a very small winery and, by late August, it’s most popular wines were sold out. Not to worry, Norman Hardie wines from Prince Edward County were on offer, we were told. Not stunning but drinkable. However, at $69/bottle, a bit pricey. Conclusion: - go visit for the ambiance, the service; go for the experience, support a Canadian business but stick to the pizzas and beers. You won’t be disappointed.

What a great experience at this vineyard tonight. Great food starting with the salad then to some great pizza. Hot sauce was a perfict balance of heat and flavour neither over powering each other. Came here a couple nights in a row whilst we stayed at a cottage down the road. Were welcomed into the family and had some great food (both steak and pizza) and wine of course!!! Scenery was beautiful. My husband’s pizza he said was delicious. I’d asked if they could make a vegetable pizza - « just put lots of veggies » (I emphasized lots). I also said a little bit of cheese would be fine. The pizza I received was a pretty sad case. It was sparsely dressed with veggies, so sparse you could count on one hand the number of small vegetable pieces there were. To boot, the server came by to ask how our first few bites were. I told her I wasn’t exactly pleased. She too could see how naked the pizza was, but she chose to look at me and shrug her shoulders. By the way, that pizza was $23 and we had waited an extremely long time!! We will not be returning.

Had a very pleasant visit to the winery last weekend. It is a charming place with a beautiful view, definitely worth a stop. The wine, one of their own, was delicious and paired well with a stone over wood baked pizza which was excellent. Definitely worth a stop. Only downside is seating is very limited and is all outdoors, was a little challenging in the rain.

Sitting on top of a hill overlooking the vineyard and Westport pond. First time here and will be back. We had the Vidal & Pinot Noir with a margarite & sonson pizza. Both the wine & pizza's were excellent and highly recommended. Stopped at the shop on the way out to get some wine and a couple of nice glasses. Very well maintained property with ducks, chickens, rooster & 2 dogs to greet you upon arrival.

Very disappointed. Had a terrible, over-priced pizza for lunch. One single asparagus spear so tough that it wasn’t edible, Brie cheese virtually non-existent and edges burnt black. Not a winery experience. Save your time and money.

We placed our orders shortly there after and sat enjoying the wine. When by 8:50 we still had not received our Pizza one of our group went to speak with our server and then with the manager. She approached by stating that we came for the ambiance which she enjoyed but was disappointed by the wait. He responded that “this is not fast food hon.” She then asked if he had in fact called her “hon” and he confirmed this. At this point our group decided to leave. This type of service and response is unacceptable. We were looking for an empathetic response to what was an inappropriate wait. Also to correct the owner with whom she spoke Pizza is in fact a fast food, it was invented as a food of the people that could be cooked and eaten quickly. The issue is that the restaurant has too many tables for the number of ovens. This attitude towards patrons and women is appalling. If you attend realize who’s business you are supporting. The night before we had a lovely dinner at the Cove in Westport and have also had great meals at the Westport Brewery, I suggested attending these instead.

Giving one star for the beautiful ambiance and good food (once it FINALLY arrived) We arrived at this amazingly beautiful restaurant at 5:30. We ordered at 5:40, and were not served our meals until 7:45pm. No visit from a manager to apologize, no apologies from the server. Not one item food or drink wise was comped. Completely unacceptable. This will be the death of the place if this continues.

OMG. Amazing. Thank you for a wonderful lunch to remember. The drive to the winery was so scenic you could take a picture at any time and it would make a great postcard. The owners are so welcoming and accommodating. They were run off their feet yet smiled all the time. The pizza was the best pizza I’ve EVER had. The Pinot Noir was absolutely perfect - light and fruity. Even brought a bottle home. The atmosphere was breathtaking. This was an afternoon I will remember. Thank you to the owners and staff. Looking forward to returning soon! PS - next time I will bring our truck and quietly snag one of their beautiful dogs. Tee hee hee. Mary-Ann

Great food. Great service. Great ambiance. It's such a wonderful and popular place that there was a short wait. We expected that for a place in high demand with terrific reviews. The entire staff are run off their feet to provide the best possible service, and they do so always with a smile. We were advised that wood fired pizza takes some time and we were quickly served drinks while we waited. There is a very positive energy so we enjoyed the wait. The pizza was amazing, and even better when paired with their wines and beers. Alison and François work REALLY hard to make this a great experience, and we truly enjoyed every minute. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful Sunday evening here while visiting the area. The staff was very friendly and accommodating considering we showed up with 10 people. Everything was delicious and it was nice to have the options of their wine and also some beers. Since 3 of us wanted a glass of the sparkling wine we ordered a bottle and didn't realize that they charge an $8 uncorking fee (seems unusual since it was their wine...) so I would advise just sticking with glasses of wine. I'm also unsure of how the total for 2 pizzas and 3 beers came to $100 CAD but I never got to see the itemized bill before it got split and we were in a hurry to get to our destination for the night. Overall it was a lovely experience, just check your receipt before you leave.

Pizzas well done with fresh toppings although it seems cheese may have changed since the last time (was closer to real fiori de latter I have had in Italy before). Chardonnay was pleasant but honestly it lacked aroma and one could find better (but not local) wines for the price - so it was worth the splurge but not something I would drink everyday.

Great atmosphere and great wine. They've got delicious wood fired pizzas. I recommend it for a date night. Sit on some of their Adirondack chairs and share a bottle of wine enjoying some beautiful weather.

Great setting for a lunch or dinner. Pizza from the wood fired oven is a must. , along with the dip on the appetizer menu. They do have two BIG dogs that roam the outdoor dinning area though, so if you have any issues with dogs might be best to stay away. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Would be a 4/5 but had to deduct a point for the dog issue.

All around meh experience. Minimal seating outdoors. Our group of 6 were put at a table that was scorching hot in the direct sun. When we asked to be moved it was a whole ordeal and seemed very unorganized. We were finally put at a table where the umbrella kept falling over with no help to peg it down so one of our group mates just kept his foot on it so it wouldn’t fall onto our table over and over again. Food was nothing crazy, I believe there is maybe 6 or 7 types of stone baked pizza to choose from although the artichoke dip was pretty good. It took about 1.5 hour for our food to show up, which was kind of excessive considering it wasn’t overly busy. When we finished we ordered 3 pies for dessert, after waiting another 40 mins for those we asked our waitress what was going on and she never put the order in..so we decided to just leave. We did enjoy the sparkling wine (very sweet and refreshing) but we wanted to take a variety home to try so our group split on a box of 6 bottles only to get it home and find out the owner of the place gave us 6 bottles of one kind... Not a great experience.
