Despite a raining evening, the private wine tasting experience was top notch and the views are spectacular. It has a European feel to it for sure. My only disappointment was not being able to recycle our charcuterie containers. The wine was really good and I have WAY more appreciation for the local wine craft and its taste -- lots to unpack in each sip. We will go back often!

My partners parents were visiting and we decided to try a vineyard together. I’ve driven past the location in the past but never actually went. I was very impressed upon entering. The decor is beautiful and because of Covid you can sit right in the field which was so cool. I just wish they had fire pits to make it a true outdoorsy feeling. It would have been perfect. We chatted with a young man who worked there and told us how his parents bought the property recently and told us about the wines. He was so pleasant and patient and was so sweet to our elderly guests. I was disappointed however when we went up for seconds bearing closing time and the young lady who came to serve us was not helpful, and had an attitude. I was taken aback as we were polite as crazy and asking for her expertise. She wasn’t helpful and we were rather put off by her. Everything else was fantastic though and the sparking wine was AMAZING. Try it!

Absolutely wonderful experience. They are dog friendly which was a big bonus. The vineyard is adorable and they have lots of seating for enjoying a glass of wine and the restaurant on site is absolutely delicious! The view is incredible!!

I’ve discovered many wonderful and fun places in and around Ottawa over the years since moving here. I’ve also been fortunate to visit Prince Edward County on many occasions and people who’ve been there know of the endless wineries to be had. So a friend of mine told me about KIN Vineyards in Carp. I didn’t expect much but wow I was very pleasantly surprised! It’s in a great scenic location and the Joes Italian Kitchen is a bonus. I had one of their red wines and it was very enjoyable. I wasn’t able to try much because it was crazy busy but I’ve already planned to return soon! Awesome! ????????

Hidden gem just outside the city. Going during dinner gives sunsets over the the vineyard. The wine tasting is always good with great flavors. I also recommend the wood fired pizza and ask for the story behind it.

I had an amazing Sunday afternoon with my girlfriend, everything was tidy and clean and the staff was really welcoming, we had the wine samples and they were so great that we had a hard time selecting which wine bottle we should get to bring home. I extremely recommend it.

We went to Kin Vineyard with friends a few weeks ago just before the yearly harvest and discovered Kin's awesome wine. They set-up tents and chairs along the vineyard where you can relax and enjoy wine and see a beautiful sunset.

Just dropped by. Burrata and oven roasted olives, a glass of sparkling vidal. Then a tasting flight of red wines. Loved the Marquette and the Marishal Foch. We ate and tasted under the big tent. Stayed dry in a good sized rain. Staff very helpful for some mobility challenges. A great spontaneous afternoon adventure.

I have been here two times. Once was for a tour and tasting and the second time we came back with the kids to have pizza. The tour and tasting was very informative. We were impressed with the wines, that we bought some after to enjoy at home. The restaurant was in a beautiful location, all outside and in the middle of the vineyard. Pizza was also excellent!

Very busy, of course it was 5:30 so people were coming in for the food truck. The line up for food and buying wine were much longer than I would have expected. The food from Foodielu was very good. But to order another drink would have taken at very least another 15 minutes. The process doesn't lend it self well to coordinating your food from Foodielu with getting your drink order as they are 2 different establishments. Wine was tasty. The crowd seemed to be a bit upscale and preppy and didn't have the laid back vibe I was expecting. Will be back to give another try on a different day. Hard to make a full judgment on the one visit. The wine options are good and the staff where very knowledgeable, so on that front we will definitely be back. After the reply from the owner, I would like to add a suggestion for any that go out for food truck Friday and that is come early because the line ups can get long. And from experience I would suggest you get your drinks from the Vineyard first and then line up for your food. Also there is limited shade in the evening and I would suggest to bring your own collapsible chairs and head to the back by the trees to get out of the sun. It was quite hot and that spoiled a little bit of the relaxing time. They have umbrellas at most of the tables but with the sun lower on the sky they are hard to set up so that they provide shade for all I'm your party. And I will say in all the experience was good. We are fans of Scheuermann's in Westport and I am maybe unfairly judging KIN Vineyards on our many visits to them. We would like to find something a little closer to home and so will be giving KIN Vineyards another try and I suggest you do to.

Shirley explained the grapes that they grow and the process involved in both the growing and the winemaking . She provided a charcuterie and five wine samples. Tom and I have been buying their Civil Grit Chardonnay by the case since March.

I became a huge fan of KIN this year. Always an enjoyable experience tasting their quality wines. On my last visit I purchased a bottle of Pinot Noir, unfortunately when I cracked it open a month later the wine had spoiled. Apart from that KIN has been great & I fully recommend giving them a try.

Very nice location and wine. Bring your favourite cheese, olives, and fruit. Purchase the fantastic foch wine at Kin, and enjoy at the provided picnic tables, overlooking the vineyard. LIFE IS GOOOD!

During this home isolation I decided to see what options were available locally. Kin Vineyards delivers!! Order on the website, and they deliver to the door. They leave on your doorstep, ring the doorbell and move a safe distance away to ensure someone of legal age answers and then off they go! Brilliant!! Wine is amazing too!

This place is so welcoming and relaxing! While visiting Ottawa, I decided to come here to get out of the city. The worker was so nice and knowledgeable about wines! She helped us sample and pick out the best ones, which were all reasonably priced. We walked around the vineyard and had an amazing time!

The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful although, I wouldn’t recommend spending money on the wine tasting experience here. Not very generous and it was a basic experience. The tasting is also in the back away from the nice atmosphere. Each person is given a plastic container of food without any consistency in what is given. The tasting experience and tour is marketed as being an hour but the tour was 10 minutes. One of the staff members we spoke to on the phone a couple of times wasn’t very friendly either. If you’re looking for an authentic wine tasting experience, go to Domaine Perrault or one of the other wineries around Ottawa. However, the new restaurant they have, Italian Joes Kitchen looks awesome. If I were to go back it would just be to have a glass of wine on the grounds or eat at Joes to soak up the patio and environment.

We had a fabulous evening at Kin. The service was great and as expected took a bit longer as people queued to order their beverage. The food truck this evening was Big D’s from Stittsville. Great poutine (and they have some respected competition in theses parts) and Italian sausage that was cooked too perfection. Bravo Kin & Company.

overall score is 4. Here are some key points: Service: 5, We had a really attentive and personable waitress. Atmosphere/ambience - 3: the set up is very basic - small tables with umbrellas were some distance from the parking lot, close to the vineyards. When it's getting dark the headlights from the cars exiting the lot are right in your eyes. It's cute but not super comfortable. There was also a crazy neighbour mowing his grass on Friday evening...this was a total bummer. Food: 5, although choices are very limited, we had a very delicious pizza and oven roasted olives. Sparkling wine was quite good. Price is very reasonable. Overall I would recommend, hopefully you get lucky and there won't be a crazy neighbour with his tractor mowing his grass )

Such a beautiful, quaint winery and so close to home! The grounds are really pretty with a nice little patio area to enjoy some wine. Would definitely recommend the Dark Horse if you're a fan of red, but you can't go wrong choosing any of their wines! I've been once for some tastings and I'll definitely be back!

Beautiful vineyard! I went on a wine tour in the summer and had a great time. The wine is amazing as well, my mom ONLY drinks white wine but tried their red and had to buy herself some to bring home because it was so good. 10/10!

Although service was good, the food and wine was not. Pizza crust was VERY burnt and the pesto was slathered on very thick to the point it made it too salty and inedible. Tasting wine was good but the table served Pinot Noir was not. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

We tried out the wine tasting room that opened a few weeks ago. A wonderful experience with knowledgeable and friendly staff. The weather was awful so we didn't get a chance to tour the vineyard, but I look forward to trying it again when the weather is more suitable. Three wine samples for what I think was $5, but if you bought a bottle after wards they waved your sampling fee. All the bottles are around $20 give or take, so all together the prices are very good. We couldn't sample the Dark Horse or the Light Horse since they have a limited supply, so my curiosity got the best of me and bought the Light Horse. When we had it at home we were very happy with the taste. Grapes were grown locally which is pretty cool. We did sample a few other kinds. My favorite was the Marechal Foch. I am not a wine expert but I really loved this one. Yes we bought a bottle of that as well. Everyone needs to go see what these families are doing out in Carp!
