I was absolutely blown away by the service at this winery. A group of four of us came in the snow yesterday, this was our fourth winery and by far THE BEST one we visited all day. The employee was helpful, knowledgeable, kind and even allowed us to open our cheese and munch it at our table. It was a perfect ending to a snowy wine filled day. A MUST visit.

Very cool that they are solar powered, however, it was a bit snobby. Rude staff. Offered pairing foods on 1 plate with 3 different options - when my friend grabbed 3 (1 of each) she was scolded and told she wasn't allowed anymore; we are a group of 40 year old women, who were treated like children. The manager gave e my friend a bottle of wine to make up for it. It was a bit disappointing, but I applaud their green'ness.

What a nice discovery this was! I loved the ambience and the location! They have quite the selection of wines to choose from and I find they have more to offer than most wineries in Prince Edward County. I’m mostly a Rose drinker so I tried their North Beach Rose! It was excellent! I loved it. I especially loved Ashley who poured the wines for us. She was friendly pleasant and knowledgeable! I will definitely return! ????☺️

We were a group of 5 and the 3 stars are meant to showcase the actual wines we tasted. After visiting 14 wineries I would say Harwood had mediocre, bland tasting wines overall. None of the wines really stood out. We sampled each of the whites, rose and red on their menu. That being said they have many blends which would cater to any palate which may be more their aim and why I wasn't thrilled by any. I'm more inclined to non-commercial wineries which this is not. I did think our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. She gave us a little extra in our glass for samples since 4 of us were sharing. It's an excellent choice for large groups because they have the staff and the space. I'm also really impressed with the green direction they've taken as they have solar powered facilities. Thank you overall!

I visited this venue because my great grandfather who I was named after once owned the property in the mid 1900’s. I learned that the farm was repurposed as a winery so I was excited to visit and share my ancestral connection to the property. I spoke directly to one of the owners and she was like “oh - ok”. She was not very talkative and seemed kind of stuffy. I’m not a professional wine taster but my first tasting was a dry white wine and my second tasting was a red wine... Only thing is that the same glass was used and not rinsed between pours. This kinda skewed the flavour of the second tasting. All in all it was not a very welcoming experience and the quantity of wine was about the size of a tablespoon. Tip to the owners: Please try to be more warm to your guests. I had planned to take my family and friends back to your venue and make a day of it but unfortunately I have changed my mind.

Great service and great wines. The oaked Chardonnay, the Rose, the Merlot and the Meritage are awesome. They will also pair wine with cheese and sausage upon request. Small place with great wines.

I know this winery very well as I live just a short distance from it. In the last 7 years, since I moved here I have been taking my visitors and guests for a taste of PEC. The staff has always been very hospitable and helpful. I took my oldest son and his wife there Easter weekend. We tasted some excellent wines and enjoyed our plate of pairings. Our hostess was fabulous. She took the time to tell us the history of the winery and it’s founder. As we were purchasing our wine, a host recognized us from the previous visits. This was extremely nice as even a little recognition in today’s lifestyle is sometimes neglected. I suggest a stop here when in Prince Edward County. Their wines are top quality and so are their staff.

Beautiful venue with live music on Sunday. The place is breezy and laid-back, and the wine sampling is unlike anything else. Everyone is knowledgeable about the wines and what to pair each one with. Can't wait to come back!

I love this place. My first contact was with John when I placed an order to be delivered. He was wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable. Yesterday I went to the Vineyard with friends for a tasting and had awesome service and some excellent wine. All of us were very happy with our experience and can't wait to go back. I highly recommend you go here. They have a really good selection of wines to taste.

Just keep driving. Let me save you a lot of headache reading reviews and just tell you how horrible the service at this place is. Half an hour after being sat we finally put an order in, even though we were the only people in the place. And the wine came in plastic shot cups. God forbid you dare ask for glass cups, because it is like pulling teeth. Keep driving and go next door. It is trully unfortunate because the wine actually fine.

First time here & it was awesome....we are from the area but never stopped in. Out neighbours took us here & we really enjoyed the atmosphere here. We'll definitely be back & bring some of our friends back with us when we tour some of the wineries in our area.

We have been to hardwood a handful of times and are never disappointed. The have a sparkling mermaid rose that is my partner's all time favourite. It is always a friendly and personable experience with a beautiful space, and they go above and beyond. In Feburary we arrived to purchase some wine and they turned an outdoor fire place on so we could do an unscheduled tasting. In November we were in the area during their off hours and they still accommodated us to be able to get a bottle of our favourite rose. Would recommend making a stop here to anyone coming to the county. Thank you so much Harwood and we are looking forward to our next visit!

We stopped here by recommendation of a fellow passenger on the Glenora Ferry ride over the river to Picton. Such a cute place, running via solar power. Our Sommelier was great - a very friendly young lady who was quite knowledgeable about the region and wines. We did a pairing with the tasty bites and loved all the wines! She shared fun history about the names of the wines and local celebrities who it was named after. The grounds are well kept and it is very welcoming and calming there.
