Went to this location for the first time on Dec.13th to purchase some wine for the holidays. My husband and I were the only 2 in the shop and the clerk could care less. She never looked up from her phone to greet us or ask if we needed help, which we did as we couldnt find the cab sav reserva. Finally WE asked and were told we had to wait for the next shipment. No problem, we are happy to wait. NOW it is Thursday Dec. 17th and we are phoning...no answer, phone rings nonstop and no voice mail. We have called 4 times. We live in Innisfil and dont want to drive back up to the north end of Barrie all for naught. MAGNOTTA you can do better than this. We've been customers for 10 years. I do admit I've never bought from a boutique shop before...and obviously still havent lol! I guess we will continue to shop at the LCBO and forego our holiday tradition of Magnotta wine.

We discovered Magnotta in Woodbridge when we lived in Caledon, and when we moved to Guelph, we were at a loss. Where to get great wines at great prices. We were NOT disappointed. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, and the prices are perfect. 16 Litres of wine, for 80 bucks. (OR thereabouts) It is nice to have on hand for guests and the upcoming summer months. The wine tastes lovely as well.

My favorite wine store: every wine is flavorful. Whites I have liked- chardonnay, Tocai, and blanc de blanc / Italian champagne quality. Reds: merlot, Chilean mix cabranet , cabranet merlot mix. You may enjoy wine, after Magnotta you will LOVE wine and shop here regularly.

5 stars if the review was based solely on wine. The brewery advertises many different styles of beer however it seems to be just a quick cash in on the craft beer trend without creating a quality product. All of the beers are too similar in taste and bland relative to their robust descriptions.

Fantastic wine and selection. I have not set a foot into an LCBO since friends told me about this place earlier this year. I buy the 16 litre boxes and they are about half the price of a half decent domestic wine at the liquor store. Also much more environmental friendly. I also have some red and wine in bottle. Many wines can be tried in the store so it's pretty much a low risk purchase. It's worth my while to drive 30 minutes one way every couple of months

I shopped at Magnotta when they were Iocated in Kitchener years ago. I was sorry when they moved to Cambridge however continued to buy my wine there. Normally red gave me a migraine. However the French Blend changed that. All thanks to being able to have a small sample. Such a wise idea. Sadly we moved to Mount Forest and are rarely in Cambridge area however still shop at Magnotta if close. Wish you were up our way say Fergus. Thank you for still being around after so many years. Your wines, sparkling and selections plus prices are excellent thank you.

Nice tasting bar and the best deals on decent wine. But I definitely wouldn't recommend anything besides the wine. I recently purchased a bottle of their vodka and when I put it in the freezer to chill, it froze completely solid in only a couple hours. On my next returning visit, I asked the staff why a supposedly 40% alchohol Vodka would do that in my standard home freezer that has never even come close to freezing any other vodka, their response was "???? why wouldn't it freeze"

The staff here are all so friendly, they definitely go out of their way for you. I found the two gentlemen I dealt with today very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. My husband is a fan of their ciders and any wine we bought here seems to be a hit with friends and family! They definitely have a nice selection of very affordable wine here. The store is kept neat and clean too which is always nice to see. I've been here many times over the years and I have yet to have a bad experience. If you haven't been here yet I recommend checking Magnotta out.

Great hours - It's a little out of the way for me but a great destination if I am craving a glass of wine on a Holiday. Went on The May 24 weekend when I forgot to hit the LCBO and was having company. I loved the tasting bars, really felt cozy and warm.

Due to the most disturbing and unacceptable customer service I have ever experienced, I am boycotting any and all Magnotta winery locations. I feel sick with how this situation was handled. Even though my personal experience is just ONE customer out of thousands and millions, I don’t wish this scenario on anyone. It wasn’t just an individual store location that was upsetting to me either. I have been in touch with the regional manager for Southern Ontario and his lack of compassion for customers and their satisfaction is disappointing and appalling. He would rather stand up and defend his employee than consider supporting the mistreated shopper. The Cambridge store manager even refused to speak with me. How unprofessional. I don’t make a fuss about customer service EVER. I never complain about quality of food at a restaurant EVER. I never feel it is necessary to go beyond expressing my concerns and then leaving it at that. But I can’t let this one go. I was not able to get ANY validation or justification for the disrespect that was shown towards myself and my family. I will NEVER, EVER, shop at any Magnotta winery locations and will encourage all of my family and friends not to as well. I would have given this rating 0 stars if it was an option.

Customer satisfaction is NOT a priority to this business. I’ve been supporting this location for years and years and the one time that I felt I was wronged and mistreated, they brushed me off like it was nothing and like I was overreacting. The manager even said to me, “You’re making this bigger than it needs to be.” WOW! Completely unacceptable and appalling. They even felt the need to lie to cover up their wrongdoing. They treat one unsatisfied customer like they're a needle in a haystack. Please do not shop here. They don’t deserve your business. I will NEVER return to any location.

The wine is great, but the customer service, not so much. I just called to see if they are open on the Family Day holiday in February. Not only does their recorded message not mention the holiday hours (or if they are open or closed), but it still mentions the regular old hours, that have long since been cut back because of COVID. You’ve had so much time to change your recording. Why can’t you be bothered? Not customer friendly. Any changes to hours should be updated IMMEDIATELY on your recording, and also on your website. It’s not difficult, nor does it take much time and effort. You should also make sure you provide timely information about holiday openings and closings in advance of any holiday. Your lack of care just pushes me to go to the LCBO instead, and you lose business. Not smart.

March 1 2021 I bought four different red varietals at the Vaughn store, Shiraz, Cab Sauv, Merlot and Barbera and when we finished them they were indistinguishable from one another. They all lacked body, the finished wine was thin and watery like Cool-Aid and lacking acid balance. I firmly believe they all came out of the same vat. We have bought here for years and had decent results, never spectacular but acceptable. I have only had to return one batch for complete lack of acid balance and they agreed and replaced that batch. I have always suspected that they use their best juices for their own products and sell the reject juices to you and me. This confirms it. Will definitely never darken their door again.

Told I had to use their sanitizer to come in, and when I said no because of having allergic reactions (burns my skin) he asked me for a doctor's note!? If someone can't use it, you can ask them not to touch anything they aren't going to buy, or do your due diligence and clean your store regularly but to ask for medical documentation is insulting

Always calm and quiet atmosphere. The store seems to be opened later than the LCBOs and on some holidays. They also have a small bar for sampling wines and beers if you can't decide on a choice. This location is a must-try, especially their hard ciders. Not personally a fan of hard ciders, but theirs is delicious! They have a large selection of drinks ranging from spirits to dessert wines to a variety of beer selections.

Why haven't I been shopping here for years? The wine is great, and I save 10 bucks a box versus the LCBO. Plus the 8L box fits perfectly in a Harley chopped tour pak. The staff are very knowledgeable and very friendly every time I shop here. Definitely recommend this place.
