You will see the opinions of real people who are using the products of Three Ravens Restaurant & Wine Bar (Winery) near to the area of Banff (Canada).
Currently the firm gets a score of 4.5 stars over 5 and that rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it reaches an reviews average is virtually the highest, and it is founded on a high number of reviews, so we may think that the evaluation is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their review when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set reviews when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

Another Banff favourite to go too! It was a little tricky to get to, I got lost couple times but I was still able to find it. It will be on the right hand side around the round about! The view of this restaurant is breath taking, watching …
Really good food and the service was excellent. Fine dining the way it should be done. Even the views were really good for the most part. The reason for the 4 star is that your basically sitting in a reserved section of the college cafeteria. Had a hard time getting over that as it didn't seem to match such a good meal.
Finally an awesome meal..had to drive from Calgary just for this.. worth it. We tried all the appetizers and made it a degustation menu. Staff was friendly n meals were presented well n had plenty of flavor.. The great escapade...
Top notch!
Amazing food and amazing view.
Our server was friendly - but, unfortunately my husbands food was not good, to say the least. I had the steak which was actually not bad. 3 stars because our server was friendly enough for us to feel comfortable to let him know that the dish was not enjoyable. Due to the other reviews, Im assuming maybe it was just a bad night.
There were 4 people in our group and all agreed that our meal at the Three Ravens was the best dinner that we have had in recent memory. …
Love this place - a must visit if you’re in Banff! The food was incredible, this place belongs on the Michelin guide!
We had a window table and the view was stunning during sunset. We had prawns as a starter and we were very impressed by the rich and creative flavors. For the main course, I ordered Icelandic cord, which was fried and a bit dry. Our waiter was exceptionally good. Parking space was hard to find. Definitely will come back again.
Great place which overlooks nice picture of banff mountain
Food was quite okay, nicely plated food, also the increadients were a little bit Special. Not Michelin star rated Restaurant but for the Price it was good. Nice view over the mountains. The fine Dining area was a Little bit seperated, but there was also a buffet type area. So the atmospehere wasn't the best.
Amazing, amazing views, a bit pricey but the food was not bad actually. Great Irish waiter there!
Outstanding! Our waitress was very pleasant and gave us a detailed description of all of the dishes, which were all spectacular. There were additional complimentary snacks throughout the meal which really made the price more justified. The food and view were incredible, highly recommended!
Very pleasant and lovely viewing
The view is amazing. We had tables reserved for the whole company, however other people were using it when we got there. There needs to be a better way to do this. Access to coffee was also quite difficult. They need to hire more staff.
Best service best food best view. $40-$50 per main dish. Worth it
Excellent food and great service. Try to come during sunset. The views are amazing.
The best food in Canada!
Awesome food and great service!
Nice view
Wonderfull place with view, good food and service
We had the most wonderful time at Three Raven's last night, celebrating our anniversary. I found the food to be very creative and delicious. I liked how the dishes were sort of an adventure, each bite a little different than the one before …
Stunning views and superb dining. Could not have asked for more
Lets start saying I was so impressed I was able to find a nice restaurant that had a Vegan Option! I jumped at it after looking at 5 other fancy restaurants in Banff and I am glad I chose this one! Sadly I would love to try this place again in the day light so we could see the view but that is our doing. Our Waiter had a great smile and we had some great conversations. I started with the Beetroot Soup, with Pickled Cabbage and Dill Slaw and it was so silky and creamy though I felt like the flavors got old to quickly until I found a little piece of Hazelnut which just made it taste divine! unfortunately I had only three pieces and that was it. PLEASE add more hazelnut into the dish it would have been perfect if I had not been searching for a few more. Thai Black Rice and Fried Tofu... this... this was amazing... if only I could express how much I adored this dish I have no complaints and for this dish I will be coming back. It simply took my breath away and just felt like bliss. Well done. My husband ordered the Alberta Bison Tenderloin. It was well seasoned, very tender, mushrooms cooked well, the potato's had lots of flavor. Only complaint was he would have liked a steak knife to cut it better and he did not like the feel of the butter knives. He loved the honey butter and the look of the cute butters but the other two did not have much flavor but the bread was warm and fresh. And the little piece of chocolate at the end was very nice touch to finish with. Glad my Husband and I could spend our 8th Anniversary here. Left with warm hearts and full stomachs. Thank you.
Great food, amazing service excellent option for dinner
Excellent good. Poor service.
Cool
Amazing meal. Looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Loved the experience.
I was looking forward to trying Three Ravens as I had heard good things about it but was very disappointed. We were a larger group but almost the only ones in the restaurant so it should not have had a significant impact on our service, or lack thereof of. The service was incredibly slow and inconsistent with people at our table having to ask for drinks two and three times to actually get them. Two of us had wine that tasted off and they were reluctant to provide a replacement or alternate selection. At another point they ran out of the wine we were ordering and just substituted something else without telling us and hoping we would not notice. I have no issues with a place running out of something but usually you let your customer know and not just slyly give them something else. The food was a standard menu for our group but the quality was quite inconsistent and a couple of people in our group either sent it back or did not eat it. Overall the space was nice and the view was fantastic but the service and food quality was really lacking.
Good modern cuisine with friendly service. Restaurant does have a weird setup and is unmarked as it is part of the school. I think the food is good and the plating well done, however the price point is a bit high for lacking the polish of …
The food, view and staff are all amazing!
Outstanding food and service! Great drink options and breathtaking views. One of the best meals I've ever had.
What a fantastic experience. Excellent views and the food is as easy on the palate as it is on the eyes
The service was wonderful and what you would expect from a hotel in Banff. The food was fabulous and I highly recommend the elk and mussels
Great view and food was ok, but the dessert was extremely fancy but disappointing. Dessert lovers, go elsewhere to eat.
The restaurant affords the most beautiful views of the mountains around Banff. Elegant ambiance. All meals are prepared à la carte with the finest meats and freshest ingredients. All beautifully presented. Good wine selection and pairing as well. The only four-star restaurant in the area. Enjoy!
Awesome continental cuisine and breathtaking view. We loved the Mexican lunch!
Beautiful view, beautiful food, and beautiful service...
Great food. Superb service. Stunning views.
Three ravens is where we decided to go to celebrate our engagement and our last day in Banff. The experience was first class. From the beginning, our waiter, Dominic, was warm and answered all our questions. To start we were offered three different homemade butters and they even had gluten free bread so that I could enjoy them as well. For the main course, we ordered duck and Alberta beef. The presentation was artistic and every bite was delicious and satisfying. We came later in the evening so the restaurant was on the quieter side, making it feel all the more intimate. When Dominic found out that we were celebrating our engagement, he brought out a complimentary plate of fruit and chocolates with congratulations written in chocolate. The entire experience was memorable and we strongly recommend Three Ravens and its high quality food and service!
Amazing experience
Great views, amazing food and a great concierge
Very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.
What a hidden gem. Food was amazing. Dominic our waiter was amazing.
It's a rarity these days for food to look as beautiful as it tastes. Three Ravens is able accomplish this in leaps and bounds. The menu embraces the location and beauty of Banff and the surrounding areas with local ingredients and capturing those ingredients at their prime. If you are looking to be surprised in a good way, come with an open mind and an empty stomach, you will not be disappointed.
Oh wow! What a hidden gem. Definitely worth the extra investment to go here. Bar-none the best and classiest spot in Banff. Try the scallops!
Good food
We love this place. To have five stars gourmet dinner with gluten and lactose free requirements it's hard to find but this place delivered beyond our expectations. The atmosphere is very elegant and quiet. The view is spectacular. Elk dish and mushroom are delicious. Highly recommended to everyone.
Just being a few stories above the trees makes for a beautiful view of the valley. Good vegetarian option the night I was there with adventurous fruity pasta flavours... And similarly adventurous dessert (lavender marshmallow for example).
My boyfriend and I celebrated my birthday at Three Ravens and it was superb. Every dish was a work of art, visually and gastronomically. Our server, Sarah, was excellent, perfectly timing our experience and providing interesting info about what was on the plates. And the views are spectacular. Worth every penny. Highly recommend.
This was the most unusual dining experience. First, there is no signage for the restaurant so we drove around in circles for awhile, then called the restaurant, and they had sent an employee out to meet us. Apparently bc they are in a government owned property it requires too much paper work to add a sign - what???? Next, we check out the menu, which I should have looked at prior to selecting this restaurant, but we thought how bad could it be? Hmmm The atmosphere is a large cafeteria, and off to one side is a dining section. Huge Windows, gorgeous mountain views everywhere, but the weirdest vibe we've ever felt from any dining experience. We proceeded to one of many empty tables and sat down. Reluctantly, I tried the scallop app. There were more ingredients in this dish, I couldn't understand any of it. Coconut sauce which tasted like mayo, under grilled pineapple which was not grilled and was not hot, powdered strawberry yogurt huh? , radish, beets, parsley you name it! And three small cold scallops. $20! My husband had the sweet potato and carrot soup . Presentation was pretty, soup was ok We politely left after the appetizers. It took us longer to locate the restaurant amongst all the buildings then actually eat there. If you want to feel like your part of a lab experiment, eat here. If you want gorgeous views I would go for lunch and eat at the cafeteria. I would like to add that The wait staff were all very charming and professional.
Excellent food and service. A must for your fine dining experience when in Banff.
Stunning views and amazing food and service
Since the renovations it has been a taste bud pleasure for banff folk or visiting folk
Excellent
great location, spectacular views and the food was creative, flavourful and well presented.
Amazing views, food, and service. Daniel was great!
What a great place! Price is what you’d expect from a great restaurant ($30-$60 a plate) service was great, wine selection was on point and the food was delicious!
Perfect place to spend the evening in
When a restaurant has a vegan option listed on the menu its a plus for me! They have tons of other food as well. Great wine selection, friendly servers and amazing mountain views. I would definitely recommend!
We had an amazing dinner here on a Friday night! I made a reservation and requested a window seat. They did advise me it was first come first serve for window seats, but we were accommodated accordingly. Amazing food and views. Our server, …
A hidden gem. Enjoyed one of the best meals I've ever had here. Staff are friendly, the food is amazing and the views are breathtaking. Reasonably priced too! A must visit, but don't tell everyone!
Great food, beautifully plated, and great service. They just added their fall menu. Everything I had was excellent, especially the octopus carpaccio.
Amazing place. I was a little nervous as we are younger than the typical crowd here, but the host and waitress didn't even think twice. Warmly welcomed and showed to our reserved seat. The waitress explained the menu thoroughly, going over her favorites and explaining the microgreen grower tucked away in a corner. Beautiful view even in the black of night. We were lucky to arrive during a cloudless night. Will definitely be coming back every time we go to Banff.
I loved my time at the Banff Centre. The staff is simply amazing and everyday they serve a delicious and varied buffet.
Love this place, the food the service and the view! OmG the view. There is nothing more fantastic in my mind than a good meal surrounded by such an amazing decor.
The layout of the restaurant is honestly quite strange. It is a nice restaurant tucked into the buffet restaurant. The food was NOT the same as the buffet food. It was a delight!
Everytime we come it is always amazing, they hire servers that know their stuff! Love coming here for special occasions! Our server was Bridget and she was fantastic!
Our favourite restaurant. Food is excellent and view is unsurpassed. Very attentive staff as well.
We go there for breakfast during our annual winter conference, and the food is great. Lots of seating, service is good, and the view is amazing.
Excellent bufet!! Ate here four times without taking the same food even once.
I went here for an anniversary dinner with my wife and the staff experience was fantastic. The view outside of the Banff area was stunning. The roll arrived with three different kinds of butters made in house (garlic, mango and black truffle). The salmon mousse amuse bouche was good along with our main courses (beef striploin and duck). I think that the beef was a little overcooked (for my medium-rare request). The "deconstructed" lemon cake was divine and the cheeses were just the right size.
Spectacular views and top notch dining.
Terrible service
Nice location, service was quick n swift.. food was good but not worth the $$ you pay for. Wine service was superb Busy place
Excellent meal, did a fantastic job incorporating local flavors and ingredients in an artful, flavorful manner!
Awesome experience and meal at the Banff Centre's Three Ravens restaurant. Our waiter (Dan) was awesome, and the view overlooking the town of Banff and the mountains was amazing. We skipped a starter, but were given a complimentary taste of poached mussels with cherry - served cold on a serving spoon. I enjoyed the sweetness of the cherry to counter the saltiness of the mussel. Additionally, we tasted three types of whipped butter (made in house) with bread - matcha, Ash salt, chocolate peppercorn, and a fruit cream cheese. I didn't much care for the chocolate butter, but really loved the Ash salt (smoky and salty) and cream cheese. The matcha wasn't anything aggressive, pretty light and easy for anyone not feeling adventurous with their butter. Entrees - my wife had the chicken, which she enjoyed very much. Although, the morel mushrooms that I tried were drenched in red wine vinegar I believe, which was off-putting. I had the roasted elk rack which was excellent. Cooked perfectly medium rare, tender, and juicy. The Farrow risotto was a nice, savory complement to the dish, as were the rest of the vegetables and tempura crumbs. The watermelon radish and watercress gave the dish a beautiful appeal, and provided to be a refreshing balance to a savory, deeply flavorful meal. Definitely recommend the elk!! Dessert - we shared the creme brulee, which was to die for. A perfect caramelization accompanied by fresh fruit, blueberry biscotti, and mango puree. The mango was both of our favorite flavors to add with the creme brulee. Overall, this place is great. The meal we had overlooking the beautiful mountainside, with excellent service will be a meal we cherish and remember for a very long time. Thank you Three Ravens!
Beautiful place, great food and wonderful service.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Three Ravens for a family birthday dinner and had one of the best and most interesting meals we have had in years. Chef Brandon was extremely creative in his appetizers, utilizing unique ingredients …
Fantastic food and views!
Wonderful artisan dishes with a beautiful view on top
Shared and exquisite meal with my wife and son here this past week. Our waiter Daniel was first class and provided us an amuse bouche on the house. The other waiters were quite tickled with our little rambunctious 15 month old and that was more than appreciated as it’s always a point of contention taking our son out. Overall, the price, the ambience and the quality and taste of the food make for one of the best food experiences I’ve had to date. My wife had the bear and flower rabbit and I had the bison steak.
Superb views, prices as steep as the surrounding mountains..
great wine selection
My girl friend and I spend several minutes to find the entrance. Come inside the restaurant, the stuff were friendly and the menu was very creative. For the food…looks really attempting ,the taste of the beef was ok,little overcooked ,my girl friend was disappointed with the dessert. Overall, friendly place, beautiful presenation ,ok food, the price is a bit overpriced. Due to their good customer service,I would like to change the 3 stars to 4 stars, keep up good work!
Yummy food
Very nice fine dining

Great views, mediocre food.
The views are obviously stunning. But the service and meal were also fantastic. My server took the time to properly introduce each course and none disappointed.
Worth it for the view.
(Translated) One of my favorites, the beautiful view, an elegant restaurant, I recommend going as a couple, it's a dream. And the exquisite food (Original) Unos de mi favoritos la vista hermosa un restaurante elegante les recomiendo ir en pareja es soñado. Y la comida exquisita
Great buffet. Amazing views.
We were seeking out a dining experience for my daughter's birthday and were exceptionally happy with the results. We enjoyed the octopus to start and between the three of us we sampled the beef, bison, and elk. It was the first time I tasted elk and it will not be my last. Our service was excellent and our dishes cooked and spiced to perfection. I look forward to another special occasion that demands this level of dining. Thanks for taking good care of us Sarah and the chef!
Visiting Banff from Philadelphia. If I were to recommend a restaurant to anyone visiting, this HAS to be on the top of their list. The service was absolutely stellar, probably the best service I have ever received. Several times our waitress came to offer us tastings of items the menu. The food was incredible, from the octopus starter to the bread with the herb butter to our incredible Trifle desert. 5 stars. Need to come back.
Amazing food! Flavourful dishes
Great view
Weird sport great fine dining
Amazing food and outstanding service. Our server Dominic went above and beyond to ensure our experience was amazing. …
Beautuful food, excellent service.
Last evening we enjoyed an excellent pre-concert dinner at the Three Ravens. Just a stone's throw from downtown Banff. Located in one of the beautiful Banff Center buildings. Our highest recommendation is given without qualification. I highly recommended this restaurant.
Love love love. Food is amazing, drinks are great and the service makes it all that much better. Highly recommend.
Incredible view, amazing service, disappointing atmosphere. I feel like the Banff Centre could easily put up floor to ceiling curtains instead of just glass to separate the restaurant from the larger banquet space and elevate the Three Ravens experience dramatically.
Outstanding food and service
Great food and great service ! The food is really fine dining and presented beautifully. The flavours are complex and unexpected in a really good way. Overall this is a place worth trying !
Spectacular view, food so so.
Great views. Great menu. Great wine list. Fantastic service.
We were very happy to find this restaurant. The food was gourmet- very unique and excellent plating. Excellent views which the restaurant is known for. It is located at the Banff Centre- a surprisingly large creative arts school in a small …
Very good food. Left full
Good food a bit expensive
My wife and I went there as it had many top reviews. We ordered the prawn appetizer. It was delicious but the prawns were a little under. The beet soup was unremarkable. I ordered the beef tenderloin which was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. My wife ordered the salmon entree. It was mediocre and the mussels were undercooked and she had to spit one into her napkin. The creme brûlée was hot and runny and was sent back. Perhaps just an off night but unimpressed especially at the price point.
Large tasty portions. Enjoyed it.
Very creative menu and food combinations. Great consideration about food temperature and texture too. Perfect dining experience. Lovely services. Tricky location, cab drivers know it all though.
Excellent food and service with spectacular view.
The food was amazing here. We had the pork belly to start and it was absolutely to die for. Our mains and dessert were equally as amazing. Our server, Yvonne, just made our experience that much better. She was friendly, honest, and to be perfectly honest, we wouldn't have enjoyed our experience as much as we did if it wasn't for Yvonne. The view was breathtaking, especially at sunset. One thing this restaurant could improve is the atmosphere. It didn't feel as intimate as we would have liked as it's just a sectioned off part of a larger dining hall. Other than that, I would highly recommend Three Ravens and hopefully will have the opportunity to come back!
One of the best dining experiences I've had. Ate dinner at sunset time and the setting can't be better. Delicious food, great service, and great presentation.
Absolutely awesome restaurant. We came in the evening but the views would be stunning in the daylight. Our server was awesome - she was hilarious and really down to earth. Very knowledgeable about the dishes. The bread and butter and house marmalade were awesome. Great food and drinks. One of the best calamari’s I have ever eaten. Bison steak was great too. Save room for dessert, definitely worth it. A foodie place to check out. Definitely under rated. Will definitely eat here again when I am back in town.
The food was just okay, in my opinion. It was not bad but definitely did not live up to the hype. I thought the Chef tried to incorporate too many flavors into one dish. My wife and I try to have at least one fine dining experience while on vacation and wish we would have chosen differently.
Great food. Service just good. The view expectacular. Expensive but worthy. Need a reservation.
Nothing short of spectacular. Our dinning experience was amazing from the start. Our Server was excellent, the food...the food was AMAZING. We love to dine out and treat ourselves to a fancier meal once in a while, and this was worth every penny! The decor was subtle, but the food colourful, well thought out and presented beautifully. If I could kiss the chef, I would. This restaurant is a go to for sure.
It was my birthday weekend and my girlfriend asked for a nice view and we literally had the nicest table in the whole restaurant. We had Jendra(?) as our server, from Lithuania. She was so knowledgeable about the menu, any question we had, she answered instantly. The food was beyond my expectations, just excellent. The drinks were way better than I had expected as well. Nicholas (who looks like Blake from workaholics haha) was probably one of the best bartenders I've ever had serve me drinks. The drinks were so good that my girlfriend and I had to go get a nightcap at the bar after our dinner & dessert. A few people walking by even mentioned that the drinks were so good! We will definitely be back! Nicholas & Jendra were absolute mensches!!!
While the food was first class, as one would expect when 'mains' are priced in the $35 to $40 range, the service was about the worst we've experienced. Our server was AWOL for 20 minutes at a time. When we approached the front-of-house she made excuses about the wine bar being busy and that several tables had ordered at once. Not surprising as they push the 'eat here before the Banff Centre event' theme. We had to rush our eating so as to not be late for the show -- even though we had arrived when at opening time and had allowed a full two hours. Our friends had asked before hand "Is this place good". Sadly we had said "yes" and were embarrassed. My recommendation -- don't go if you are looking for a decent dining experience!
This restaurant came highly recommended. All 6 of us thought for starters that it lacked decor. Felt like we were in a banquet room as it was dark outside so there was no view to speak of. Our food was okay, pricey but okay. However for that price you would think the service would be top notch, which it was far from. Our table of 6 had to request many items, like another drink, more buns (which we received 1), incorrect drink being served, forgotten dessert, just lack of attention to detail. All of us left unsatisfied after 3 course meal. Many other restaurants to choose from in beautiful Banff for that price.
A great group meal
Chief trying to do gastronomic cuisine but not there yet. Sprinkles genius ideas (semifreddo with smoked trout including smoke under bell) but gets confused in the balancing of tastes (introduced random mustard and overdoses preserved vegetables). Makes unforgiveable mistake on the creme brulee (granular)
Best view in Banff
A fantastic multisensory experience! Tasty & creative food, incredible views, delightful staff. Shout out to our server, Johnny; in addition to knowing the ins-&-outs of the menu, he taught this Yankee a lot about Banff & Alberta.
The food was unique and delicious. You get to try out a lot of regional food items. Easily the best pork chop I've ever had. The staff was very friendly too!
Excellent place. Beautiful views and great food.
Beautiful view was blocked because the wouldn’t raise the blinds at sunset. Food was just okay nothing special and very overpriced. Chicken was dry and steak was smothered in sauce. What a shame. Save your money or go elsewhere where you get what you pay for.
Beautiful scenery, amazing service and delicious food. Highly recommended.
Dinner In the sticks and not easy to locate on the campus. Ambiance was a little cafeteriaish. Service was amateurish and our waiter knew very little about the product but, effort was made and they were all personable. The elk tartar was incredible. Moroccan Lamb shanks was a little bland but we'll prepared. Pork trio was good but, nothing to write to you about. Overall an average meal.
We dined here twice and would return in a heartbeat !!! Food is superb. The wait staff is quite professional, the venue very interesting. it would be nice if art could be incorporated with the experience. The chef is outstanding. Highly recommend.
There is no way you could complain about this place. Surrounded by beautiful views and excellent service/food. I don't rate restaurants but this deserves 5 stars any day.
From the servic, presentation and taste... Honestly this place is more than 5 stars ! Hands down unbelievable and amazing taste! The views are also to die for!! I haven't had such a flavourful and amazing meal in a long time! You must come here!!!! 10+ stars !!
We had an outstanding meal. The Halibut, bison, and rack of elk were simply delicious. Everything was mouthwatering and enjoyable. We also had great service from our waitress Lotte. Such a wonderful dinner!
Its ok
I was a little skeptical about dining here, but it is hands down the best food experience I've ever had. From the amazing cocktails, to the amuse bouche, dinner and desert, it was nothing short of spectacular. You read the ingredients going …
Very beautiful view, but the food is just so-so and pricy.
