We made a same day reservation for birthday dinner and everything was perfect from greeting, the table they reserved for us, service and the meal. We started with the carpaccio which was so delicious and some drinks suggested by the server. He was funny, knowledgeable and engaging. Dinner was the Taste of Alberta trio with added side of mushrooms which I recommend. We also switched the salad for the Caesar which was delicious and so so garlicky. No room for dessert unfortunately but they looked amazing. We will come back here for sure!

I had the Taste of Alberta with 3 kinds of beef and it was absolutely amazing!! My personal favourite is the Wagyu beef. Cooked perfectly, the salad was light with a grapefruit vinaigrette dressing, the potatoes amazing. Casey was an amazing server! She was so tentative and very knowledgeable with great recommendations. I’ll definitely be back!

Listen you're gonna be spending a lot of money but it is worth every penny. Get the Canadian waygu it was the best steak my girlfriend and I have ever had I'm telling you! The wedge is a great starter as well and we got sautéed mushrooms that were a perfect pairing with the incredible steak. Our server was amazing I wish I remembered his name he had and australian accent and he recommended these amazing drinks! We also got the oysters that were perfect size and even richer in flavor. Definitely go here if you want the best steak of your life with incredible service!

The food here was amazing along with really nice host and servers! We went there without a reservation but this place is so wholesome in keeping tables available for people who'd want to walk in. If your are dining for 2 I really recommend the taste of Alberta.

Can't remember his name because its been almost 2 weeks since we have been there, but he has the whole Calgary Stampede attire going on, he convinced my boyfriend to get the Benchmark Steak, it is grass-fed cows. Wow. What a recommendation. Tastiest thing I have ever eaten in my entire life. Melted in our mouth.

Had an amazing dinner and service! Had the Taste of Alberta and it was very good. My favorite steak of the three that it offered was the benchmark. The cheesecake was also one of the best I've ever had. Will definitely be going back in the future. Worth every dollar spent.

Probably one of the best meals I've ever had. Shared a 16oz ribeye steak, shrimp, and lobster rice. Best service I've ever experienced, had an amazing waitress that made sure our drinks were always full.

We were super disappointed at our experience here. Our $93 steak was disgusting, it was like chewing rubber. The ambiance was nice but the service was subpar and the food was a waste of time. I was surprised that the steak I had for $6.95 at a local pub, called X-Site way superseded Chuck’s Steakhouse.

We came in for some dessert as it was recommended and had the Apple pear crumble. Once it arrived it had looked like a four-year-old put it together. It tasted like wet flour over cold sliced fruit with a side of ice cream. If you're looking for a good dessert we highly do not recommend the crumble at this restaurant.

Good taste, but not incredible - especially considering prices. Food portions were on the smaller side and service was lacking. Had to ask numerous times for things like sauces and sides. Don't see what the fuss was about. Don't recommend.

Outstanding food. Visiting Banff for holidays and this is our last dinner here. We ordered the Alberta sampler and it's an eye opener on the different quality of meats. All great but the Benchmark got the highest mark at the end because after every bite it tasted just like the first one while the Wagyu and Prime fizzled out on flavor, just personal opinion. Service is perfect with our waiter explaining us the menu and how to best enjoy our meal. Suggestions and then step back for us to take our decision without rushing us at any moment even though the restaurant was packed. Make a reservation and enjoy the best beef Alberta has to offer.

Chuck’s Steakhkouse is fantastic. It’s pricey but it’s deserving and for a date or special occasion can’t be beat. The food is incredible especially the local beef and the atmosphere is beautiful. Lots of dark woods and leathers make for an unforgettable experience. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Cannot recommend enough. Easily accessed with street parking in the front. Won’t disappoint.

Ordered the tasting menu with 3 different beef stakes. Prime rib was okay but cold. The other two (wagyu and grassfeed) were really salty. Tried to call the server 3 times but was not paying attention for a while. A hall manager was walking by and was able to tell him that the food was too salty. They replaced the stakes with new one. They brought all three back. But the wait time killed our appetite. We weren’t able to finish most of it.

Been here several times and love this place. Reservation is a must, as both tourists and locals all know and love this place! The service is consistently top-notch, the food is outstanding, and the ambiance is perfect. My favourite has to be their table-side Caesar salad (where they prepare the whole thing in front of you, from the sauce to the mixing of all ingredients). The steaks are unfortunately not consistent, and we’ve given it many tries before only to be disappointed - although during the most recent visit it finally met our expectations! I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back to try more items.

All the waiters/waitress including our waiter Tommy is just so great, friendly and very attentive!! Best service we have had anywhere! The food is tasty and very well-balanced. I enjoyed the broccolini and salad just as much as I enjoyed all the variety of steaks! Definitely recommended!

Amazing meal, top notch steaks, highly recommend the chateaubriand platter!, Caesar salad is great. Only thing missing is the standard complimentary fresh bread and butter. Views are nice with lots of natural bright, not dark and gloomy like some steakhouses.

Going in, I knew it was an expensive steak place but thought it would be amazing, and decided to treat myself. I ordered the $100, 20 ounce steak. $100 is a very expensive steak so I expect it to be delicious and a solid 20 ounces. The steak was delicious but it was only about 9-10 ounces after I cut off the huge chunks of fat and bone. And the $100 steak doesn't even include any sides. Save yourself some $$ and get a nice steak somewhere like The Keg. I've had equally delicious steaks for half the price.

best steakhouse in Banff!! we ordered the 45 day dry aged cut, simply delicious, juicy, tender and very tasty! cocktails are good too, I tried the smoked 'observation peak' with rum. Service is great!, although I would have preferred the server to slow down a bit, she wanted us to order the food within few minutes of getting the drinks, same for the bill, she seemed too rushed that brought the bill right after removing the plates and so she did the for the tables around us.. let people take your time to drink, eat and enjoy this amazing place..

Came in on a Monday night, not too busy. Our party of two was sat down, given two waters and was then ignored by the waiter for the next 15min while he was chatting up a storm with the tables to the left AND right of us. Maybe we just weren't worth the attention. But after travelling for 10 hours from Toronto to Banff, tired and hungry, we weren't really in the mood to have to remind the waiter for service. Just walked out at that point.

Made a reservation for a window table, didn't get it. Meal was good. Wasn't what it was before covid. Service was friendly, but not overly attentive and sometimes that's a good thing. Somehow a glass of Rose was on my bill and I missed it, $hit happens. We will see what happens next time. Overall we enjoyed our dinner.

Elevated steak restaurant serving high quality steaks. Had the Wagyu ribeye which was very flavourful. Service was great too - wait staff very knowledgeable about the various steak options and can make great recommendations depending on your party size and what you're looking for.

This restaurant offers one of the best steak in town. I was hungry and wanted to chill out by myself. I was lucky enough to get the table by walk-in. Normally, you have to make a reservation in advance. There were many people came in and could not get a table. The selection for steak is amazing as long as the wines to go with it. I ordered a big set that has 3 kinds of steak plus a small size fries and red wine. The cook was perfectly match to what I want. If you are not happy with the cook, they can alway make it right. The price is high but the food, wine and service are premium. It will worth money you pay. I will come back again.

Great steakhouse in Banff with amazing varieties of beef cuts for large groups. We tried Tenderloin steaks with pan fried mushrooms and potato gratin. I wish they had more options for a small group or a single portion. Warm apple and pearl crumble was really delicious too.

Hands-down the best restaurant we went to between Banff and Jasper. The 45-day dry aged steak was cooked perfectly. The lobster rice was definitely my favourite part. It was extremely savoury and not too heavy. Everything else was also very delicious.

I enjoyed my time dining at Chuck's Steakhouse. I followed my friends who arrived earlier, so I ordered a burger so it would come out quick. The burger was very well made. The meat patty was as thick as it can get and the serving size was huge. My friends had a nice order of steak. Our group also had an order of asparagus with special sauce, and that too was something very special. There are lots too love about the place. The ambience and decor was very homey. The servers were good conversationalists. The only bad thing I can comment on was that the menu is a bit on the pricey end which is well warranted considering the overall premium dining experience you can get to enjoy.

This was the best meal I have ever had. The food, including the sides, just melted in your mouth. I can definitely appreciate paying a little bit more money to have a great experience. They don’t have much for beer selection but the cocktails were great. Our server made sure to explain the chucks experience since it was our first time visiting. I think we will make it a tradition to visit chucks every time we come to Banff. I will be recommending this to everyone I know.

Went with 3 girlfriends for dinner and drinks. We had cocktails, a couple bottles of wine, a few appetizers and dinner. Our server was great, and the food was delicious. I actually don't eat beef (weird place to pick for a non steak eater, I know) but the rest of the table had steaks and loved them. I do wish there were a few more options for non steak eaters, but I was able to have prawns and scallops and they were fantastic.

Honestly did not love. Service was great and friendly but we ordered the steak trio with the 3 sides and they claimed that one of the steak was wagu? There was no marbling and they were all overcooked. We asked for medium and they came out barely pink. You can honestly get a better steak at a chain restaurant.

This place has it all, atmosphere, amazing food and excellent service. The two of us shared the Taste of Alberta and it was the perfect amount of food, assuming you are not going to do anything strenuous afterward. We had room for desert afterwards and left feeling comfortably full. The wine list was extensive and as you would expect from a Steakhouse leaned towards hearty reds.

Chuck’s Steskhouse sets the bar for group get togethers. We’ve celebrated with our team at SkiUphill a few times now and it’s always a highlight every year. I had trouble making reservations online for it was a busy long weekend Sunday night in Banff and I had tried to call and leave a message but unfortunately never heard back. My husband and I decided to walk in and was able to get seats outside. Outside you get great views of the mountain. Our server Cam was AMAZING! Loved his personality and recommendations. He was very personable and funny. Our food was also delicious, flavourful and filling. Would eat here again

Overall, was the best ribeye waygu I've ever had! Customer service was exceptionally great. We were the first customer of the day, but somehow the steaks and mushrooms were cold, so it was very disappointed. Then they served us new steaks and mushrooms, and it was the best ! Super cozy and nice place for a dinner. The steak was high quality Alberta beef ribeye. Great service with a professional and friendly staff. The prices are on the higher end for sure (~$70 for 16oz steak) but it was delicious. Will definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Banff

Caught this hidden gem out of the corner of my eye on a walk down Banff Ave. Open Table app said they were no longer taking resos but upon physically inquiring with the hostess they had open tables. Booked for Sunday night in hopes of getting sat on the patio. First come first served. We lucked out. Not just on the patio but the server Casey. She was friendly upon meeting. Knowledgeable when it came to drinks/food with excellent recommendations. Our meal exceeded our expectations. Sure the price point is higher but it's well worth it! The Wagu was a treat to say the least. As it melted in your mouth it was so tender. I'll most definately recommend to friends/family/you reading this review. Splurge on a meal from here, it will go down in the history books as one of the best meals you've ever had!

Amazing steakhouse with a southern style. The servers are very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a style that makes you feel close to the farm. The food WAS GREAT and everyone at my table left happy. It may seem expensive but the location and atmosphere males it worth it. Side dishes were definitely not ignored here so indulge yourself in a family style experience to try them all.

I’ve seen some poor reviews and mostly it’s about service and price. The quality of food here is amazing, our server Mike went above and beyond. Everything we had and two tables around couldn’t say enough GOOD about the amazing food and service. The price also was surprisingly cost effect. We have eaten at other locations in Banff and they had a higher price point A job well done.

I think here is the one of the best steak house in Banff. Fast and kind staffs, great quality of steak and salmon. Even the interior and the view of the sight was great. The prices of the foods were expensive than my thought, but I think that is worth it. Even I asked to our tour guide, and he said, yes the place is very good for tourist and even local people. If I go to the Banff again, I will go here again without any worries.

Amazing meal!!! I highly recommend this restaurant, the price is well worth the mouthgasm. Our waiter, Drew, was amazing, great recommendations! Compliments to the chef! The Millionare cut Wagyu, Oysters, Pan fried mushrooms, Mudpie and Chocolate Cremeaux were all very delicious and we were very satisfied with the overall experience. Came a second time 0726/2021, still amazing. Had crabcake, fresh n rockefeller oysters as appetizers, for dinner; ribeye, millionaire cut again, lobster, and morel mushrooms and shrimp fried rice as sides. Only negative is that the oysters were not shucked as well as the first time; where the natural juices were almost all gone this time, whereas last time it was shucked to perfection.

One of the best steak house and I have been to many high end places. The waitress (Jess B) was fantastic, experienced and confidence. We had diet restrictions and complicated orders. She knew all of the ingredients inside out and our very complicated orders were 100 percent correct. Best experienced and gave great tips. Will definitely come back and told many friends about this already.

Dinner for one! I made a reservation (you need one - do try going there without as it was rammed on Friday and nothing available for the couple who walked in before me). I ordered the benchmark strip loin and raw oysters. Was very good but my steak was slightly over cooked. I asked for blue and it came out rare/medium rare. I like the cool center and seared on the outside. Wanted to give a 4 star because of the steak but other than that, was great service and food was tasty. So changed to 5 star.

Phenomenal service and amazing food. We had one last meal after a 2 week vacation and so glad we picked Chuck's. Lucky enough, the manager was able to seat us as a walk-in and we were the last table of the night. Our server was very knowledgeable, personable and had great recommendations. We stayed at Lake Louise, so we drove 45 mins specifically to eat here at Banff. Definitely worth it.
