DESCRIPTION

We have all the information of people who purchase the services of Petite Rivière Vineyards (Winery) in the territory close to Baddeck (Canada).

Currently the business gets a rating of 4.4 stars out of 5 and that score is based on 45 reviews.

You must have seen that its rating is quite high, and it's based on a large number of feddbacks, so we can think that the rating is quite reliable. If people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well with the service, is that it works.

You know that we do not usually bother to place feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

The only Nova Scotian red wines that I will drink come from this winery. They produce rich bold smoky reds that go fantastic with char broiled red meat. Typically we go there twice a year and purchase a boxes worth of diffrent reds. We dont buy any reds from the NSLC any more. I find their whites a little pale in flavour, to my tastes. They have a really neat blueberry wine that is delightfully full bodied and not at all fruity like you'd expect. There experimental wines are always interesting if not delightful. The winery is well layed out and the tour is fun. It amazes me how few barrels of wine they have ageing at any one time, given how much wine they sell. They have little events over the summer which are fun, I attended their "sliders and cider" event this summer. It was well priced and we got to relax on their dog friendly patio on a nice warm summer day.

Beautiful location overlooking the vineyards. Great service and good selection of wines.

Very charming location with a beautiful view! However, the wine is not good at all. We tried the 5 wine sampler, which certainly would be a good deal if the wine were palatable, and were quite disappointed. I was also disappointed that the tastings were provided in plastic glasses; beyond the obvious waste, they were blowing all over the table once empty. I will not be returning, nor purchasing their wines.

Awesome wine tasting experience! I've visited almost every year since 2013 and it's always wonderful, fun and informative. World class wines!!

A beautiful spot on a scenic drive. Wine tasting available at a great price ($5 to try 5 wines - 2018). There is a patio where you can have a glass overlooking the grapes growing down the hillside.

I do not like wine (I was there buying a bottle for my mother) and on a whim I bought their white wine three churches for myself. Wow. That is a great wine. If more wine tasted like this, I would drink more. Great wine.

A favorite yearly stop for us! Best part aside from nice wine, engaging staff is that they are dog friendly.

Visiting vineyards is something I do often and have visited many around Nova Scotia. I was disappointed that you are served your tasting flight in plastic shot glasses like from the dollar store. Any other vineyards I have visited have done tastings in small actual glass wine glasses.

Visited here on a Wednesday afternoon in September and was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the wines. I tried 10 different wines including 3 whites, 5 reds, 1 rose and 1 fortified. Left with a mixed case. So far my favourite is the 2017 Kissing Brook red blend. Interestingly, I found a 2012 vintage in a NSLC near me. Curious to see how it's aged.

Great wine, stunning view, wonderful staff, picnics encouraged, and dog friendly! We spent several hours here on a sunny Tuesday afternoon just sitting on the patio with our pup, enjoying the view, tasting all the wines, then having a glass of our chosen favourites. They don't serve food, but we had a few charcuterie-type snacks in the car which the staff (who were extremely friendly) said we were more than welcome to bring up and enjoy with the wine! Could not have asked for a better time.

Small winery with some beautiful reds. We'll worth the side trip.

Nice tasting area with a great view. They've made good efforts to keep social distancing measures from affecting the experience.

Poor service. We called in to get some wine and pick-up later (they clearly advertise contactless pick-up) and after much whispering amongst staff, we were told they could not do it today. A memeber of our party has cancer and thus they lost our business as they refused to simply send someone out to our car as they advertise. Along with the numerous poor reviews that their wine is overpriced but not that good....I would not waste your time tbh.

Tried this Vineyard at the suggestion of a friend. The staff were extremely friendly and informative. We got to sit on their patio area, with our 2 small dogs, and we're made to feel quite welcome. The red wine sampler were intriguing, a few of them would be nice to drink fairly soon after purchasing.

Staff are friendly, its dog friendly, sell ciders and sangria to have on their patio as well as wine. Their port is a highlight. Nice place to visit if you're in the area.

My wife and I visited the vineyard during the summer of 2017 and we very much enjoyed our experience. The scenery was nice and the tasting was pleasant. We bought a bottle of the "Churches point 2013" and at 11.5% thought it would be a good wine to age. I opened it tonight, Feb. 2021. The term "barnyard" is a positive term to describe an old world wine nose but this one was rotten barnyard, it smelled like rotten manure and tasted the same. This is not a wine that you can age, if you sample it and like it drink it when you get home or shortly after. We also got a bottle of "Kissing Brook 2012", this was probably our bad as this was a 13% wine and just opened it tonight. It certainly is a not a wine to age.

My favorite of all of the wineries we toured in NS! Cottage was charming, view was great, and the old gentleman who helped us was so helpful and solicitous. Wines were very nice and I was particularly impressed by the blueberry and the drumlins.

Dave & Peggy Carr

Nice variety of wines provided for tasting!

It was their opening day for 2013 and they were still in the process of setting up...Had a wine tasting and bought a bottle....very good wine. Going back again.

Marion Marchant

Beautiful location and great atmosphere, warm and knowledgeable staff, surprisingly good wines. Well worth the trip!

Gross. with a beautiful view | the wine is terrible and that makes me so sad. I wish they had a vintner that knew what wine tasted. it doesn't even need to be great, just drinkable.
