This Winery corresponds to the category of Vineyard.
Pete has a top shelf menu, delicious wines and wrote the book on customer service. There are many vineyards in the Valley, his is the standard to measure them against. Topped off with a gorgeous view.
Delectable food. Good wine. Awesome servers. Killer view ????????????
What an amazing experience. Great wine, great food!
Great view. Lovely wine.
Spectacular sunset and great food. If you want to get away from it all and and enjoy some local wine and terroir, while overlooking the hills and basin, Pete's is it! Delicious cauliflower soup, artisanal olive bread and artic char in a miso broth (don't get if you don't like really salty). Beautifully presented. All super tasty. Bring a sweater for sunset and some bug stuff (mosquitos too). They have blankets if you forget (which I did!). Lots to take away too from the shop; jellies, olives, wine (of course), handmade wooden cheese boards and way more).
Beautiful! A must-see in the valley. Make sure you get there early enough to enjoy a bite to eat on their patio.
Very busy, lots of choices for wine, our tasting was rushed, only one girl facilitating the tastings plus she was ringing in sales. Granted the wine is good
Charming British-tilted winery with a large variety of wines and beautiful patio. Nice rosés and bubblies on offer. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Top notch. Amazing lunch on a beautiful summer day. Incredible service inspired by Pete himself who plays a very active and visible role daily. Super high recommend
Great food, staff, and fantastic views. Been coming here every summer the last few years and have never been disappointed.
Great wines , great food , worth a visit
Wonderful experience! Very accommodating as this was a first visit for our group.
Beautiful... Great food and wine! Well worth the drive in the country
Always an amazing experience at Luckett's Vineyards! From the views to the food to the staff and the wines - don't miss visiting this vineyard.
Had a great tasting. The person that walked us through the wines was very knowledgeable.
Very nice terrace on the vineyard. Food quality/price is very good and some the white wines are good.
What a nice place for lunch!
So beautiful here, great food, amazing view. Very friendly service at the restaurant. Nice selection of wines.
Beautiful place, smooth wines.
Beautiful view (the best I've send from a restaurant in Nova Scotia) and excellent food! A wonderful place to spend a day in the Valley.
Great wines!
Went with my NSCC class. Personal presentation from Mr Pete Luckett himself. We tasted wine and learned history of his winery the grapes etc. They had a basket of breads for dipping. The olive oil was Devine. I bought a bottle. #oliveoil #winery #novascotiawineanddine
Of all the wineries we visited in the Wolfville region, this was our least favourite. Others have a relaxed, friendly vibe; but we found Luckett very busy, and that we were being served in a mass production "barn". I wouldn't recommend Luckett when there are so many better options in the area.
Always enjoy this place. The food and service and the spectacular view. Sometimes Pete is there. Hey wait, Pete's usually always there. Such a nice man and very personable. Good sense of humor. We're looking forward to our next visit.
Great food and service. Everything Pete touches is awesome. Highly recommend to go down for the day and eat here.
Food is amazing. Wine is amazing. You should go.
Very wonderful experience.
Nice view, nice staff, but the food in the restaurant was just ok. Not enough meat in the Panini's so it felt there was more bread than anything. As well the chowder tasted very fishy. The tour guide (free of charge) was very pleasant but the tour itself didn't have much to offer since it wasn't harvest season. Basically it was a walk to the vines, then to the cellar. A better tour would be during harvest season (Sept-Oct). The view is the best in the area!
Lovely place for lunch... But a bit pricey
Beautiful views & wine
Excellent food and great service accompanied by some amazing views of the valley. We were not sure if the wine making tour was happening cause of covid restrictions, but the wine tasting experience is great and they have some great selection of wines as well. We liked the "redbox red" and their small batch resling, will be definitely visiting again.
Lovely spot, great views, tasty wine! Was extremely busy when we arrived, long weekend in the summer ect... service was excellent despite a long wait for food.
Very good place to eat, but parking can be a challenge.
Great view, wine and food
I've only been here once but was very impressed. Scenery is excellent and the meals are great. Very busy location when in season.
While this location is lovely the experience leaves a lot to be desired. The bloke that was the tour guide clearly liked to hear himself talk and rambled on for over half an hour before we saw any wine. He needs to leave politics out of his presentation. As he was not from the US, we had no interest in his views on US politics. We came in a large group and paid way too much for this excursion to just get a $5 tasting and two half glasses of wine and a sandwich. The winery also was quite a bit behind serving us lunch and dessert. We ended up leaving 30 minutes late at an already overly long visit. As for the wine quality itself, it was not for my palette nor most anyone else’s. I understand the difficulty of producing wine in this region. Just don’t come here expecting something comparable to the Napa cab you might drink back home.
My friend and I went for the first time today, and had an absolutely amazing experience. Extremely fast service, and reasonable wait times. The fries were to DIE for. Along with everything else we ordered. We will definitely be going back again soon.
Great winery and one of the most beautiful views of the Minas Basin.
Excellent restaurant. We were seated by Pete Luckett himself. Great view of the Valley. The place was very busy at 12:30 late summer but service was still prompt and professional. Food was superb. All fresh ingredients, excellently prepared and came quickly. One of the best meals I've had in recent memory. Prices reasonable also. Parking lot was full but you can park on the street. The wine bar and store have many wonderful items including cheeses, oils, olives, etc. I highly recommend a stop here.
Absolutely loved it there. I loved the tour and the amazing view of the valley. The meal at the restaurant was excellent as was the service. It was great to see the owner greet customers and chat at their tables.
Beautiful spot to grab a delicious lunch, paired with some great wines! I enjoyed a glass of Triumphe and a seafood bake while overlooking the fields and Bay of Fundy.
Good Spot for Great Wine
Wonderful place for lunch and great olives for sale
Always a great place to take visitors for a beautiful view of the valley and Cape Blomidon.
Tastings cost 12$ for 5 reg wines or 12$ for 3 premium wines (desserts, port and top shelf) Really nice vineyard. wines tastes amazing. You can also have lunch here with great tasting food, 20$ per person.
Amazing views, great food, very nice
Delicious wine, beautiful scenery and a phone booth. Definitely worth the trip!
Most picturesque vineyard in wolfeville, ask Drew for info on anything, he's the man
Great view. Only okay food for the price. Don't sit on the patio nearest the septic system as you'll get intermittent wafts of subterranean fart. Wouldn't recommend you go out of your way to eat here. I ordered the artisan board, cheese board and ratatouille pie. The ratatouille pie was bland. Pete, the host and owner, is gregarious and avuncular. He does a great job managing the line of people awaiting seats and ensuring you feel welcome. The service was also good.
A beautiful little spot with some delicious wines and fine dining.
Beautiful view. Very good food and wine. Great staff.
Awesome food. Beautiful view
Great food and great views. A perfect place to escape too
I've never been disappointed with the quality of the food and the service. I had the Churchill sandwich, with a very generous spinach salad, and eating that while looking out over the valley was absolutely wonderful. Even though it was busy, our party was never forgotten nor ignored. Absolutely recommended to anyone visiting the area looking for a great place for lunch with some fantastic wine.
Beautiful place to have lunch and the wine is amazing. Staff were awesome.
We had a great wine tasting. It was very informative and we learned lots about wine making in Nova Scotia.
Absolutely stunning! Eating lunch with the view of the valley was phenomenal. The food was great, staff was accommodating, and there's a great selection of wine! There's a phonebooth in the vineyard but the phone didn't work during my visit. According to the staff, the phone in the booth works sometimes and it's free to call anybody across the country!
The vineyards are a good experience but although the food was good the service was slow ????
It is a small but beautiful place. It sells many kinds of wine and you can order and eat meals at outdoor tables with nice scenery if you like.
Was going to drive around to a few other vineyards but we just loved the view and value at the restaurant. Tasters and waot staff were very helpful and kind. Highly recommend
Enjoyed a crisp glass of white on their porch with some appetizers. The view was spectacular and the perfect complement to the vineyard.
My wife and I visited Pete Lockett's Vineyard on the advice of several friends in August 2012. Located just off the Gaspereau River Road, the vineyard has a "million dollar" view of the valley and the Minas Basin. The wine tasting was friendly and provided ample opportunity to sample their offerings. The whites were pleasant especially Tidal Bay and l'Acadie. We stayed around for the Tapas style menue after 5:00 PM. The meal was outstanding and as good or better than anything I've experienced in Europe. We're advising our friends to visit it when they go to the Annapolis Valley.
Beautiful view from the patio and food service was very quick. Great spot for lunch and a wine tasting!
Great day out at one of our favorite summer stops :)
Very busy, but I can see why... This has to be one of the best patios we've been on. Had the charcuterie board with a couple glasses of the tidal bay wine. Gorgeous view, great selection on the board.
Seafood chowder was mostly broth. Atmosphere was very nice.
Ambience is the name of the game here. Sit at a comfortable outdoor table covered by a marquis tent with a beautiful view of Pete's vineyards with a backdrop of Cape Blomidon and the sparkling water in front of it. Couple that with delicious food and some of Pete's not to be missed wine made from the grapes not unlike what you see before you and you've got the makings of a fond memory for years to come. Even when it gets a little colder, the tent with the sun beating through the window will keep you toasty. And if that doesn't, the outdoor fire will. When you finish your meal.and the bottle of wine you shared with your sweetie, head inside to sample some olives, or peppers, or jellies and jams. And don't leave without a few bottles of Black Cab it Phone Box Red. Speaking of which, you can call anyone you want from the red English phone box in the vineyard! Such class. Views. Food. Wine. Service. Unique.
Loved the view and the food!!! The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Be sure to call ahead of time to make a reservation. Don't expect fine dining services, but the food is delicious and picture perfect! Loved the presentation and the whole experience.
Beautiful atmosphere. Fantastic view. Knowledgeable & friendly staff. Excellent food.
I had the opportunity to visit Luckett Vineyards for the first time this past fall as a wedding photographer. I was immediately impressed with the grounds - the view of the Minas Basin and Blomidon in the distance is incredible and what Mr. Luckett has created on the property itself stands apart from other vineyards in the area. Staff were friendly and more than happy to educate guests about the area, the vineyard itself and the products offered in the store. I was left with the sense that they are happy to be there and happy to share what they are a part of. I look forward to my next visit.
Just arrived today from Montreal, first time to visit Nova Scotia with my wife. Our friend brought us to this vineyard. We first dine at the restaurant, I found the food was very nicely made with heart. I particularly loved the corn beef sandwich. After that we had wine tasting, and bought some nice local white wines. We are very glad to visit this very nice place on our first day in NS.
Although we are a bit spoiled coming from Ontario, the tasting and the views were great from the vineyard. The food was ok however the mussels seemed off and the fries were stale/cold. The seafood chowder and biscuit were delicious. They also ship to Ontario so you can take some of it home
Food and service was fantastic.
It was Amazing and the employees there make your experience even better and the wine, well you have to try it yourself. It will bring you back to stock up????
there is better wine and food in the valley, but the views at Luckett are fantastic. great outdoor seating area, though too bad there are no tastings/flights with food service. of note: the constant upsell by the front of house is transparent and almost offensive. why would we want to add burrata or chicken to a cobb salad which already has chicken and blue cheese? why would someone want to upsize their fries “for the table”. why would we tack sides onto another side? i overheard this kind of nonsense at neighbouring tables as well. understood lots of tours and buses come through, but read the room and/or let the food/menu speak for itself. in short though, worth a stop when exploring the valley, but food and wine programs elsewhere merit more time (if limited).
Delightful lunch with a spectacular view.
Beautiful place, wine and food!
Beautiful place. Great place to try wine tasting
Pete's sister served us and was a delight to chat with. Will be back again in the summer
A special evening with our group from Backroads
Really gorgeous place. Very nice staff. Delicious wine.
I really can't speak more highly of this place. The food, wine, service and vistas were all well above expectation. I think I liked the panini, Caesar salad, charcuterie and Buried Red the best but the Tidal Bay white was also quite exceptional. Apparently you can actually make calls from the old red phone box amidst the vines.
Great wine and fine cuisine
Seafood chowder is amazing!!! And so are the views but the hours are a little weird is my only concern
Not huge in to win but the restaurant was great. Pete even came and sat us.
Great spot to pick up wine, get a tasting, a few other items. They serve food there now too... Very good staff!!
Always a treat to visit! Beautiful scenery, great service amazing food and delicious drinks!
The view is fantastic and the they serve the yummiest chicken panini with Fizz Rose wine and house salad to make my day.. And trust me theirs are the best paninis I have ever had
We went to Luckett Vineyards for lunch yesterday and it was one of the best meals I've had in NS in a long time and great overall experience. We ordered a ton of different things and everything was fresh, creative, absolutely delicious and you can tell a lot of attention to detail goes into each menu item to really elevate the flavours. Super impressed. (I also have a lot of dietary restrictions and had tons of options). It was a cloudy day and yet was still a beautiful view and great ambience. The shop inside also carries fun and unique products. Highly recommend for both locals and tourists. You won't regret it!
Beautiful vineyard with delicious food and wine. Great place to visit if you want to walk around, try some wine or grab a bite to eat at their restaurant. Pete has an amazing passion for food and wine and you can feel that in the atmosphere
Great food, great service. Beautiful views.
Very nicely set up vineyards, creative trendy food, great view, and for various types of occasions.
Amazing food - small selection, but all very tasty! Amazing staff and a stunning setting.
Amazing food, wine & views!
Visiting Luckett is well worth the wait! We received a tour & a thorough, informative tasting that will be a lasting memory. If you are super lucky, you'll get to meet Allan & Keira who were absolutely amazing. The service we received was top notch. (We did not eat on this occasion)
beautiful views, great food and of course wine. Worth a visit
Great winery and atmosphere
Beautiful setting and great service. Food was okay.
Fantastic wines from Nova Scotia in a beautiful setting.
Food is always fresh and great flavour. Such a nice spot to sit outside on the patio, have a drink and enjoy the day. Soups are always a great choice, and the mussels and tacos are option you can’t go wrong with either.
A special place in my favourite valley - the Gaspereau.
Beautiful vineyard and best wine in the county. The only feedback I would have is that your kitchen closes too early.. would have loved to try your pizza
Fantastic menu with incredible presentation! You have to come here!
Loved it here, very relaxed environment and great wine.
Delicious food & wine with an amazing view and great service. We went here with some friends from Macau and they were blown away with the food here. We tried their seafood chowder, oysters and cheeseboard to start and everything was fantastic! The cheeses on the board were perfect with the favorite being the truffle cheese with the fig. The chowder was creamy, rich and so full of lobster and other flavors well worth the calories. We also ordered the chicken pot pie, the Cubano sandwich and the Steak and Ale pie. Amazing flavors in all dishes. We barely had room left for their pumpkin cheesecake. Our server was very friendly and accommodating.
Great food, wine, scenery, ambiance, and service. Place a free call from the red phone box amidst the vines.
Go to winery for an amazing lunch. Great wine, and some beer choices for those who would prefer that. Food and service is always excellent. Highly recommend!
We loved our visit. The food was delicious and the service by Michael was excellent. No complaints from us...can't wait to return next year...wish this wonderful place could be open during the long winter months....
Great wine, lovely food, amazing view!
What a great place to enjoy with friends
Fantastic spot in the valley for lunch & delicious wine options
Beautiful spot, great food and service.
Beautiful view and the food is delicious.
We only went to see the phone booth so I can't comment on the food at the bistro. But it is a beautiful spot.
Our somalier was really knowledgeable and personable. We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting and learning about the burying process. Can't wait to go back for lunch and enjoy more of the gorgeous view!
Our somalier was really knowledgeable and personable. We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting and learning about the burying process. Can't wait to go back for lunch and enjoy more of the gorgeous view!
Great atmosphere. Food portions seem to have gotten smaller than last year, but then again, it was an extremely busy day at the restaurant. Overall a great place to have lunch, the view alone is worth the drive.
Great place, view, restaurant and alcool. Our young wine specialist/taster was amazing
It has become a must see if you're anywhere near the Wolfville area. Fantastic views, great people, delicious food and top notch service. Be warned though, it is BUSY. Especially when wedding season hits. So many brides to be.
Stunning view while you eat at the outdoor restaurant overlooking the vineyard. Pete can be seen walking around and mingling with the guests. Highly recommended you have lunch here, as the food is also delicious.
Some of the best food around and delicious wine
Some of the best food around and delicious wine
The wine tasting is reasonably priced. The restaurant entries look really yummy. The winery building is nicely constructed with a well stocked wine store.
Great customer service and good wine
Wonderful food and service. You get what ypu pay for with generous serving sizes
Delicious food , gorgeous view and amazing staff
Just go there. Don't ask about it. It's pricy, it's far away, it amazing and worth it. Don't go if you want a fast food experience. Great food, great drink amazing atmosphere and staff.
5/5 Stars, and much deserved! The food was excellent. I ordered the Seafood Chowder with Scone. Buddy, it was the best scone I've had in ages! Dense but flakey, flavourful but not overbearing, and just the right level of moist to keep it from overstaying its welcome. The chowder had a bit of everything in it as well, definitely sure to please all but the fussiest fish loving maritimer! The view of the Cape was fantastic from our spot during our outdoors dining experience; make sure to visit the fabled Red Phone Box too! Can't make a call from it due to covid rules, but it's still a fun photo opportunity! The wine, naturally, was a high note of the trip. We enjoyed a Taster where we tried a number of wines (my fav was 'Old Bill' but the 'Red Box' was a close second!) and then picked up a few bottles for home. Whether as part of a tour or just as a fun excursion, Luckett Vineyards is an excellent choice for some memories.
Beautiful vineyard. Wines were not quite up to my expectations but were still enjoyable and fairly priced.
Gorgeous scenery, lovely atmosphere and absolutely delicious food! So happy I finally got to go ♥️
My favorite winery in Nova Scotia.
This is a very nice vineyard and winery. It was part of the Magic Wine Bus Tour, but is a great place to visit if you're not on that tour. The satff was great.
Charming experience at Lucketts. Our second time there and food was still great. They were extremely accommodating with regards to food intolerances (gluten, dairy). The view is amazing
OMG! Of you are in the area you need to visit this Vineyard! Recommendation is to get here early for lunch to avoid the wait but this place has it all! The wine is phenomenal, I had the Red Phone Booth red and the view is breathtaking. You see in the distance the rolling hills, farms, ocean and Red cliffs of the Atlantic. The staff is friendly and the food was great. I had the potato and cauliflower soup and beef and mushroom pie. Will be coming again when in Nova Scotia!
A great meal and even better view!
Best winery tour ever with Sophia. Great lunch served by Regan.
Beautiful property and friendly staff, including Mr. Luckett himself who was hosting on the terrace. Great experience.
Great food
Great view and even better food!
A little pricey but what the heck, it's wine, cheese and olives.
Loved our lunch and visit!
Great wine. Nice atmosphere. I wish they would credit your tasting if you buy wine. Seems cheap to charge for a small taste when you spend 50+ dollars on wine. Even pubs will let you try some beer and or wine before ordering if you are unsure.
Gorgeous views!!!! Food was great and the wine was fabulous.
I've lived in the Annapolis Valley for 5 years and finally made it to Luckett's, I'm so glad I did. The food and wine were amazing, the view is spectacular but it's the little things that make it special. The blankets to help warm us up in the shade and the peppers and olives to taste and who wouldn't miss a trip to the phone booth. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!
The best! This vineyard would be standout even in Niagara-on-the-lake! Excellent food. Phone Box Red is soooo smooth. I ordered 6 bottles! ????
Based on a local friend's recommendation, we stopped by Luckett Vineyards for wine tasting. We arrived around lunch time and decided to have lunch as well. We were seated at the tent which has a propane heater so it was good even it was only 9c today. The staff were super friendly and the food was delicious and not overpriced. The phone booth on the vineyard is good for a selfie.
We had a great time the food was amazing the wine was great the service was exceptional. We walked the fields loved the atmosphere the view and experience.
Our wine host was a gem! Took his time explaining everything and gave us a great history of Nova Scotia wines! Lots of respect for the industry and many praises for our host! Exceptional!
Great scenery, delicious wines. What more could you ask or? Try the Edna and the Trimuphe.
Beautiful view, amazing food, great service, why not?
Had a lovely lunch and my date bought me a bottle of wine and 2 glasses. Staff was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I'll definitely come again and recommend this lovely spot. Wish I'd met Pete. Perhaps my next visit!!
Beautiful view.
Fantastic food, wine and beautiful scenery. Be sure to check out the phone booth!
Holy Moly.... High on a mountain with an Amazing view while eating delicious food & drinking delicious wine. Service was outstanding during a very busy afternoon. Wait-line went very quickly so never let that be a deterant & allow yourself to miss out on an incredibly exquisite experience!
The wonderful wine was only equaled by the tasty food. The rumble of thunder added Mother Nature's sympathy to the meal.
Exciting, busy place for wine tasting or lunch on the huge sheltered patio. Very large wine selection and lots of locally grown and imported goodies to buy. Call anywhere in North America on Pete Luckett from the UK-style red phone booth. Make sure to try the Spanish Chupadedos olives. There's absolutely nothing like them!
Awesome venue for great food and wine. The view is not too bad either.
Literally it was an awesome experience with Lockett.., I just love the way the dining is set , where we can enjoy the delicious food with beautiful view in-front of us. Such a lovely experience.. Really wanna go again.
Good and friendly staff, really enjoyed the atmosphere and décor, and In between the grapes is a phone booth that you can a long distance phone call for free, oh and the wine and food we're good and fast, go early as at lunch time it is very busy.
First time at the Luckett, such a stunning place, spectacular views of Valley and the Vineyard, looking forward to coming back ☺️
Nice but very commercialized. Very busy. Food and wines are very good
Our first, but not last visit. The best, best, BEST, sangria I've ever had. Fabulous food. Had the tomato and caramelized soup, as well as seafood gumbo. YUM! Hubby had the Toastie (flavorful, but a little limp 4.5/5); daughter had Kale Salad (would have liked cheese on it 4.5/5); I had the Chicken Pot Pie (which had both a top and bottom crust that was super flakey. Very flavorful and not at all dry. 5/5) Yum!
Beautiful vineyard and we really enjoyed the wine tasting! We will definitely be back
Consistently excellent! Best view in this area, and wonderful food.
Very beautiful spot in the valley, and VERY busy so book a reservation for a tour or lunch ahead of time! They have a big red phone box that works (most of the time) to call anywhere in the world for free. Great menu and of course delicious wines!!
Beautiful place with wonderful views. Unfortunately for the tasting we had to stand in line while waiting for other patrons. We stood for 10 minutes without being acknowledged or asked to wait or told how long it’d take and eventually decided to leave.
I took us a while getting there and it was worth it for the view and the great selection of wines. The food was just ok....nothing to lose sleep over....by the time it got to our table it was cold. It was a little disappointing. The staff on the other had were great.... all the servers were friendly and very accommodation.....I would give it another try...
There is a telephone booth in the middle of the vineyard to make free international phone calls. Let me repeat that, FREE INTERNATIONAL PHONE CALLS. That's pretty freakin cool.
Great visit. Was A bit too cold to have lunch there unfortunately. Really wanted to try out their food. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and they have a great wine selection. Their ice wine Matilda is a definite must! They also have a working phone booth from England That I found really cool.
Great for a long drive and a great selection of wines, they even have jelly and jams that they make
Beautiful views, great service, Ordered calamari as a starter, had mushroom steak pie for main course, calamari was light coated in flour, really tasty. However the pie was quite salty, can’t even finish half of it, the salad is outstanding, loved it! Will go back again
Nice wine and meals. Good for Pete.
Nice place! Good wine!
Wonderful display of wine in shop, very knowledgeable staff conducting the tastings and lovely vineyard and grounds!
Great Facility. Nice People. Good Food. Sub Par Service.
First time on a wine tour but won't be the last! Food was great and wine is even better
Wow. We took the kids with us hoping they would also have a good time. They had a GREAT time. Food and drink were good. Kids walked the fields and called back home. Based on the experience we have gone to a couple other vineyards. Must see experience even for the tea totaller as the food was also good
Beautiful property and very good wines.
Unique menu items, scenic surroundings. Enjoy a meal right on the edge of the vineyard
This $12 chowder was the same size as a $5 side soup if you order a main dish (better deal if you do that). Chowder was bland. “Cornbread” was dry and did not taste like cornbread. No heaters outside, which is the only place you can sit (no indoor seating). They give you blankets, but they kind of smell and have stains on them. Service is fine.
A lovely vineyard with some breathtaking views of the Bay of Fundy.
Always have a fantastic experience here, the sandwiches are delicious and their wine is definitely a favorite
Fantastic view of the valley. Great food at the restaurant, but not cheap. Be sure to stop in to the lesser known vineyard down the road (L'Acadie) for great sparkling wines. My son had a great time using the phone booth with the rotary dial after I had to show him how to use it... Free call to anywhere in North America.
This is the place for lunch, a view of the valley and the best glass of wine.
Luckett’s Vineyard is perched on a hill facing Blomidon and the beginning of the Gaspereau valley in NS. This view is spectacular and changes by time of day and weather of course. Sometimes you can see the details in the far off hill emerging from the Bay of Fundy and sometimes you will witness the fog rolling over or around it but always framed by the vineyard in the foreground. Pete Luckett started out selling fruit in the Saint John Market many years ago after coming to Canada. He eventually started a series of his own stores incorporating fruit and specialty goods from England. Later transitioning into the wine making business. There are a number of wines available including Tidal Bay which is a locally grown grape variety, the Phone Box, and my favourite one here, Old Bill, a smooth full bodied red. Lunch or supper Is a beautiful way to enjoy the view. The meals are delicious. Some of the ones we enjoyed on our visit were LV charcuterie board, Digby scallops-Ricotta Gnudi, Beef loin, Halloumi Summer Fritter & Triumphe burger.
Lovely wine you can't get anywhere else. Red phone booth in vineyard where you can call anyone in Canada for free!
Freshest oysters and delicious vegan charcuterie, paired with a glass of crisp Ortega wine and topped off with a to-die-for rhubarb pavlova ❤ love at first bite ????
Lovely lunch, Pete was there being his entertaining self. The winery is beautiful and that phone booth is such a sweet thing.
Beautiful view and delicious food ????
Gorgeous place with a great selection of wines. Prices are very reasonable for both bottles and tastings. The restaurant has delicious food made with local ingredients, and Pete Luckett always makes time to come over and say hi when he's around. Highly recommend.
A gorgeous view doesn't equal 4+ stars. When a lunch costs well over $150 for two, the little things matter and such little things were nowhere to be found. Examples I list only include wine-based issues as it's a winery (although there were lots of common courtesies lacking on the food side too) ...1/ the server should be familiar with the wine selection despite her statement that "I don't drink white so I have no idea what it's like." 2/ Bring wine asap so we can enjoy with the oysters (and please describe the oysters when you deliver them). We waited a while for both but gave up. 3/ Always give one of the customers the option to have a taste from the bottle before pouring full glasses. 4/ Please top up the wine glasses when they've been empty for over 10 minutes. 5/ Be forewarned that what they say is their driest white is still very much on the sweet side. Overall, the food, wine and view are good, but not good enough to pay that much for and put up with unprofessional service.
Good food and environment, on nice days the wait time can be long.
Best place to be in father's day
I really can't speak more highly of this place. The food, wine, service and vistas were all well above expectation. I think I liked the panini, Caesar salad, charcuterie and Buried Red the best but the Tidal Bay white was also quite exceptional. Apparently you can actually make calls from the old red phone box amidst the vines.
Loved the look of the place. Amazing views and the phone booth was great. Free calls to anywhere in North America. Compared to other vineyards in the area their prices were the most expensive. Paying for the view I guess.
Mind blowing scenery, friendly staff and really nice wine ????
The vineyard was very busy when we arrived, I recommend getting food right away if you are on the tour. Pete the owner use to greet the guest but has been on a new venture. The staff were great and the view was amazing. Due to covid the phone booth was closed.
Has unbelievable view and good fresh food
A wonderful afternoon spent! Great service and delicious food! I highly recommend ????
Beautiful location. Great place for a visit. Lots of choices for wine and treats. Good food.
Such an incredible view and so beautiful! The food and wine was delicious and all reasonably priced! Totally worth the drive from the HRM. I will definitely be returning!!
The nicest vineyard I have seen, and I grew up in Niagara wine country. We enjoyed the meal, the wine and the hospitality. Not to mention the view of Cape Blomidon. We even took advantage of the opportunity to call a relative in Hawaii for free from the red phone box in the middle of the vineyard. And to top it all off, we got to meet Pete Luckett himself!
Amazing wine, view and food. A must visit if your ever in Grand pree
Amazing views, great staff, great store. I'll be back again when I get the chance. Be aware that it'll likely be very busy during peak season so allow enough time to enjoy your visit.
Lunch was wonderful freshest salad I ever had closed for season 1 November 2020 reopens May 2021
Always a good wine stop in the valley. They now have a huge outdoor patio that was absolutely packed, even on a weekday. The good news is that they are set up for this and the service was very efficient. I had a fruit cream dessert that was to die for, don't know what it was called but I attached a picture!
OMG try the Chocolate Cheese Cake it's a must if your there everything else is superb staff is exceptional and friendly but remember don't leave without trying the Chocolate Cheese Cake everything is done from scratch great food and wine.
Excellent food, beautiful view and sunset
Fab place to visit. Good view and food and wine
We reserved a table for lunch! Pizzas are delicious, cheese board is not worth the money you paying (27$). Beautiful vineyard and good experience overall!
Can't say enough good about this place! Best Vineyard Visit Ever!! Great Food! Great Staff! Great Products available for purchase! ???? And Peter - the Owner Operator - was there to greet his guests, keeping very busy doing his utmost to ensure his guests were enjoying the experience!!
I went with my wife. Great company. Very friendly staff. Great service. Dinner was amazing. Great food. The perfect atmosphere. Great view. Phone Booth White. Great wine. Eating in the vineyard. Grape vine.
Sandwich and location were wonderful. Food came quickly. The table service wasn’t as good.
First time , definitely not our last . Service was great. Friendly. Lovely menu
Hand fans for the diners to wave away the bees would add to the eating experience. Wonderful meal, lovely wine. I took home two bottles. The novelty of the phone box is fantastic
Very busy, loved the tasting experience, had lots of fun and they answered every question thouroughly
Pete and his team run a wonderful winery and restaurant.
Absolutely beautiful view! Would love to see them serve suppers during the week but other than that it was simply amazing ????
The scenery is good, the viewing experience is first-rate, and you can see a large area of vineyards and the afterglow of the sunset. But the dining experience and restaurant environment are not good The burger patties are burnt and have a bitter taste The steak portion is too small to match the high price But the appetizer saved this meal, and it was very delicious The service experience is also not very good. During the pouring process, the wine was spilled on the table, and the impression was awful. At the same time, I regret that the flies flying around in the dining area and toilets make it impossible to appetite. If you just come to visit, this place is very suitable for you, but please consider carefully if you want to leave a wonderful dining experience.
Good food nice views
It always feels like I'm in a different country when I'm here! Definitely in Nova Scotia treasure! Great job Pete Luckett!
Absolutely overrated lunch spot. That grilled cheese doesn't deserve the name "gourmet". You should go here for the views and wine, not for the food.
Passionate server makes it a special experience
Very impressive vineyard especially during sunset. You can dine on a hill looking over the vineyard. The food is delicious and well portioned. The charcuterie board is a must as well as the lobster seafood chowder. Sangrias are also great with red and white options. You can walk down the the well manicured vineyard and take photos. The store is also great and you can purchase wine and the cheese from the charcuterie board.
If you are looking for the finest and cheapest wine bottles and some food to eat ,then this place will be the best place to visit. For instance 500 ml of The Juliet wine bottle will be sold at $12 only, however no good options for vegetarians and for non-vegetarian the cost will be a little high.Don't miss to take pics in the spectacular wine yard. The view is really nice.
Always enjoy myself here. The food is amazing! The wine is excellent and the service is SUPERB.
Get the cheese board and antipasti if you know what is good for you. If you like sweeter-semi dry whites, Phone Box white or fizz will treat you well. Great view and our server was pretty charming.
Visited last fall on my first trip out east. A friend took us out on a road trip to Wolfville and we ended up at this incredible jem of a winery. Up until this point I wasn't even aware that Nova Scotia had a wine producing region. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, especially when what we ordered turned out to have sold out already. The wines were delicious and we even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was out on the terrace bringing out blankets to customers on a very sunny but chilly fall day. Thhe view was absolutely fantastic!
Good wine, great view.
Amazing from start to finish. Lunch, tasting, tour, staff and Pete!
Great view, classy tasting bar, outdoor covered patio for dining, blueberry wine was delicious!
Awesome vineyard. There is a phone in the middle of the vineyard that will allow you to call anyone in North America for free. How cool is that?
The view is fantastic and the they serve the yummiest chicken panini with Fizz Rose wine and house salad to make my day.. And trust me theirs are the best paninis I have ever had
The wine and the whole place was commercial and more targeted at tourists compared to other nearby wineries. Their sparkling wine was carbonated...C'mon...Try harder.
Beautiful spot with fantastic views. Great service and awesome food!
Great wine and amazing views of blomidon park
Amazing place with a great selection of wine. We took the tour and the tasting. Price is reasonable. The food and wine are a little bit expensive but worth it. The seafood and wine are a fabulous combinaison. And the phone booth in the middle of the field is great.
Great spot for a day trip to check out a wonderful country vineyard and sample some great wine. Even got to meet Pete while I was visiting!
Best place for lunch in Wolfville. Enjoy a glass of wine, take in the gorgeous views, and savour the food!
Lovely winery. Our time here was excellent. The food was outstanding! Get the deep fried bread pudding for dessert, you won't be disappointed!
Wonderful food, friendly service, glorious views. And very welcoming ambience for lovers of fine wine.
Luckett It’s interesting how one bad experience can erase the good ones. I always had Luckett vineyard in my heart since we visited 5 years ago. It was my first time visiting NS and It was my first trip after having my 1st child. I absolutely loved the food and the wine. Years later and we just stopped today around 6pm to have supper with our kids and for my surprise, we couldn’t sit because we didn’t have a reservation? The waitress said we needed a reservation but where does it say that? I asked: “are all these empty tables with reservation?” And she replied: “No”. Still, we couldn’t sit. She tried to talk to two other waitresses and they both said NO, and they didn’t even look at us. What a poor customer service. We just left feeling so embarrassed. The sad part is that of course, we are not coming back. Never again. Lin
Go there. Amazing.
it has a beautiful scenery and very tasty and delicious wines. also they have very good service and excellent people working there. Had lunch, met Pete, tried some wines & took one home. Absolutely beautiful view & fabulous personal service.
Beautiful views, food and service is impeccable
I enjoy Luckett's...I am allergic to wasps and the day we dined they were everywhere. I wish the menu were a little more upscale and the chairs were not plastic. When I got to a vineyard to dine I must admit I expect a culinary experience. Service was alright but not great.
So awesome. Had a great time celebrating my dad's 80th birthday at the outdoor bistro with family.
Great atmosphere, great food, great service, great wine...what else can you say, 2 thumbs up????????
Love this vineyard, Pete Luckett was very nice to take a pic with us
Pete is so hospitibile. Food was great too.
Good wine, beautiful place and delicious food
Very nice. Good food
Great food, even better views, and yummy wine. Do a tasting, you will have at least six grapes you have never heard of before !
Beautiful presentation of fabulous tasting food. Very friendly atmosphere in a bustling spot. Busier Thurs-Sun due to bus tours. Lots of reasons why this great place is loved by many!
Luckett has a nice.retail shop and outdoor dining area.
What a lovely place to visit. Beautiful scenery. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My seafood chowder was the best I've had next to my Dads. Hubby had soup of the day beef barley. He wished he had of gotten another one to go. Wine was delicious. We'll be back!! Thank you.
One of the best lunch spots anywhere!
Loved this place. The wines were excellent and walked away with two cases then we sat on the terrace, had a wonderful lunch and just spent the afternoon enjoying the sun.
Beautiful view! Great wines, meats and cheeses in the retail area!
Amazing vineyard to visit. Pete Luckette is a great entertainer.
Lucketts winery is a beautiful place to visit. The views from the property are breathtaking, the staff are so very welcoming, the food is amazing and of course the wines are delicious. If you go for a quick sampling or the full tour you won't be disappointed.
We stopped in at Luckett's for lunch, and were seated by Mr. Luckett himself. The food was delicious, as was the wine, and their specialty cocktails too! The vista is beautiful, and it is fun to spot and stop for a photo in front of the traditional red, English phone booth... right in the middle of the grape vines! Don't forget to stop by the gift shop to purchase a jar of their olives to enjoy at home... they are awesome!
Amazing food, carefully considered and eclectic menu. Scenery is stunning and the gift shop was interesting.
This has become a summertime ritual for us. Great food, wine and hospitality. Oh, and the view. While living in BC we often told others of this place. Happy to be back in NS and lunch at Luckett.
What a fantastic spot. The view of the valley and vineyard is spectacular, the service is second to none and the food was delicious. I would recommend the mussels because they are to die for and the chowder is rich and the best in town. I love in Atlanta, Georgia and this is my go to spot every time I come home to visit. Luckett Vinyard never disappoints!
Awesome, scenic view, great food. Wonderful way to spend the day.
Great time! Beautiful view of the winery and the valley! Our visit was on a beautiful (bit windy) Saturday September afternoon, busy, 45 minute wait but worth it. The food was great. Calamari was a favourite. Had a lovely walk in the vineyard, took a photo or two at the iconic phone booth (inside the booth is currently closed due to COVID restriction) We will definitely be back!
You have to buy, its certainly worth it.
Great experience! Food, wine, staff, view, everything impeccable. Such an amazing day. There was a waiting time of about 20 mins, even mid week. And they don’t take reservation. Better get there early to avoid the line. Our waiter Michael was such a lovely guy. Professional, quick and witty!
You can't take your wine tasting or flight away from the counter to enjoy outside. Staff seemed disorganized and not very knowledgeable
Fabulous wine, great service, good food and amazing view of the Gaspereau Valley
Beautiful grounds and tasting rooms. If you likr big reds, give the red wines here a miss. Best part was walking between the groomed vines and using the old red British telephone box. I recall the original boxes in Britain had a distinct ammonia odor.
Beautiful view out over the valley, all the way to the Bay of Fundy.
Great food, great wine, great view!
Just beautiful, lovely wines and foods, an especially good selection of cheeses.
The best place if you are planning for wine tasting. They don’t offer any wine tours as this is a pure customer facing place. They have a great restaurant and multiple types of wines to taste from.
Beautiful view, good food tasty wine
Absolutely stunning! Amazing service! Amazing staff! Amazing owner! Stunning views! And the wines are out of this world!
Food was amazing, service was great, wine was delicious. Couldn't ask for better! Sat overlooking the vineyard and Gaspereau valley, beautiful views
Nice service, accomodation, excellent wines... Nice view, fresh air...
Beautiful winery and gorgeous views. Friendly and knowledgeable tasting bar staff. However $12 tasting cost for 3 samples seems quite steep and not deductible from wine purchase. Received wrong food order and waited to find kitchen too busy to correct my order swiftly. Mistakenly agreeing to accept my meal was forced to eat a now cold lunch. After pointing out my dissatisfaction with my meal my server attempted to get authorization to remove from my bill. She explained manager would not approve this I asked to speak with manager. My server hesitantly told me she was too busy. Still no result after demanding to speak to manager. Very poor customer service here.
Service was very slow. Be warned. We waited over 1.5 hours for lunch. Food wasn't that great. FYI grilled cheese for kids is a baguette with cheese on it. With this volume and prices I expected more. The phone booth in the vineyard was a selling feature. Amazing views. Decent wine.
Dropped in for a tasting and lunch. Beautiful vineyard, amazing gardens and love the gardens. The restaurant is outside under a tent so weather can make or break your meal. It was a bit chilly but the staff was offering little throws to keep you warm. Had the pork tacos, chowder, ceasar salad and the chicken panini. Our food was really good but it took 30 minutes to come. People who were seated long after we placed our order got food before us. The waiter did apologize but it was a bit frustrating seeing everyone else eating before us. Love the red phone box and made a call back home to Ontario.
Beautiful vineyard with delicious wine.
Truly a beautiful place and a wonderful experience. The premises is extremely well kept and the quality can already be seen when driving in. Staff was friendly and courteous and the food was delicious. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality received. The only negative part of our experience were irresponsible customers who let their children scream and run rampant around the dining area but of course this is nothing of the staff or owners fault. That did takeaway from the elegance of the experience however. Already looking forward to our next visit.
Yummy
First time at a vineyard! Best time ever. Great food, obviously great wine. Great vegetarian options. Little shop was nice. Didn’t do the tour, but it was lovely to just stop by. I used the phone to call a loved one. A nice gem in the valley. Would recommend and would love to return.
Absolutely amazing views and the staff are wonderful and very accommodating. Plus the wine is pretty good too.
Amazing views, some nice wines and other assorted goodies. Great place for lunch and a glass of wine!
Mr. Luckett spared no expense on this place and it shows. Tons of staff, beautiful horticulture, massive trees shading the parking area on hot days, to a British phone booth in the middle of a vineyard where you can call anywhere in the world for free. He even greeted and seated us himself the last time we were here. If you are at all familiar with Pete Luckett you will know that was a treat for us.
This is my first time personally being here. Even though it's quite literally right next door. Everything is top-notch. I was very pleasantly surprised. The kids definitely enjoyed their meal and the wife was very happy with her is. I had the reuben sandwich myself and for the first time in a very long time it was actually done correctly. As far as pricing is concerned, it is indeed fairly well priced. I was expecting the price point to be much higher than it was but giving me type of destination is actually very very reasonable.
Great food, wonderful staff, beautiful scenery & DELICIOUS WINE ???? ???? ????
Perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon - food, wine, spectacular view.
Visited yesterday, and took the tour. It was well worth while. The wine is great, the tour guide was fantastic, and very knowledgeable. I’m certainly glad we took the time to stop in here on our trip through the valley.
Go for the atmosphere. If the weather is fine, sitting outside looking out over the vineyard and the bay really feels amazing. I ordered the kale Caesar salad and the "seared salmon with ... chanterelles ..." and asked for it to be cooked rare. I enjoyed the salad and found it interesting. The salmon was a thorough even medium-well-done throughout—not at all dried out but a long way from rare—and I could detect no evidence that it had ever been seared. And it included only two hilariously small chanterelles. Those were half the reason I had ordered it, so that was disappointing. But, as I said, the view largely made up for the food.
Very enjoyable place to visit and have lunch. Awesome setting!
Very friendly staff. Delicious wines. One of the better wineries we visited
My wife and I decided to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary by visiting wolfville and partaking in the harvest wine festival and to finally take the magic winery tour. My wife had been wanting to take the tour since she heard about it a few years back and we decided our 24th anniversary we would go. Saturday was the harvest wine festival which we really enjoyed and received our harvest wine festival taster glasses as a memento. On Sunday we boarded the wine bus at 11:30 am. Before boarding we received a reusable wine bag for our purchases. We put brochures and wine glasses we had received from the harvest wine festival from the night before, so we would have a way to sample some of our purchases along our magic winery bus tour. Being it our 24th wedding anniversary we didn't want to drink out of Styrofoam cups. We landed at Lucketts winery, the 3rd of five. A young man named Simon conducted the taste test of 2 types of their wine. When the testing was concluded we wandered around, took some pictures at their british phone booth in the middle of the winery, then went inside to purchase a couple of bottles of wine. Simon, our taste tester guy, was actually at the till and rang us through and actually placed the wine in our bag. We left and went back to the winery grounds. When the bus finally did arrive we were around the rest of the 30 or 40 passengers when Simon , about 10 feet away, decides to pipe up and say” Sir, i’ll need you to return those wine glasses”. I was a bit confused but turned to him. So he was accusing me of stealing a 50 cent wine tester glass in front of the whole winery tour. I started walking towards him and took the wine glass out showing him this was definitely not a wine glass from this winery. And i was asking him does he want to inspect the bag itself. He just walked away. We had to board the bus so i didnt have much time to think about it. While we were on the bus this started bothering me more and more. The more i thought about it the more I was upset. Simon had embarrasaed me and my wife in front of the people we had to spend a few more hours with. This guy accuses me, gets proven wrong and does not even apologize. Even if they were the 50 cent taster glasses from the winery, which they were definitely not, Why would you try to embarrass someone in front of 40 people on the tour. The glasses we had clearly had the insignia from the harvest wine festival. We paid 200 dollars for the tour for the 2 of us and this guy pretty much ruined the rest of our day. If this guy would have apologized for being wrong and for embarrassing us that would have been fine, but the more i think about it the more i think this guy should get some lessons on how to treat the customers. Even a couple of days latter, i really think Simon should apologize.
A must stop in your Annapolis Valley winery tour. Make it the end of your day, and enjoy a glass of wine on the patio with delicious fare and one of the best views in the valley. While you're there, make a free phone call to anywhere in North America from the British phonebooth in the middle of the vineyard.
Very nice vineyard. We've been spoiled with high quality Niagara wines being from Ontario. Made a long distance call from the phone booth which was cool. Olive oil they import from Spain was really good.
This is one busy place - for good reason! The view of the valley is awesome. The food - we had oysters and french fries (ask about the secret ingredient) - was excellent and the service prompt and attentive.
The area where luckettes is located is beautiful! You can see for miles!! The Bay of Fundy is nearby and provides tourist and locals with amazing scenery. The tour guides and staff here are comical and knowledgable as well. The owner Pete is a real character and loves to entertain with his charm! Food! Omg the food is fabulous! I overall recommend visiting this vineyard and tasting the wine made right there! Bring your camera for pictures, you won't regret it!!
A beautiful winery with really knowledgable tasting staff. I learned a lot at this winery. I've also discovered my all time favorite wine here! I only wish I could find it in Alberta.
This was an amazing place. Highly recommend, wish we could have had more time but will be back. All around fantastic food and service. A must see place lots of wines to choose from and other goodies. The atmosphere and view are breathtaking.
Pete is going to make you feel welcome, the staff here is amazing! I like the variety of products, cheese, cold meats, olive oil, bread and of course the wine! You can grab stuff for a super picnic here! The restaurant looks really good, prices are good and everything looks yummy although I didn't eat there. One of my favorite things is call from the British phone booth in the middle of the vineyard.
The Bistro here at Luckett is a delight with arguably the best view of the valley. Plus how can you not love the phone booth in the middle of the vineyard? It's gotta be the Valley's most Instagrammed photo spot! ????
Incredible views, wine and food!
A very nice restuarant overlooking the valley. Always enjoy the food (charcuterie board is a fav) and wine (whites and roses). Great patio with an amazing view, a foodie gift shop, a wine bar and ability to do larger functions. Did I mention the excellent service? Great spot for a weekend lunch with friends or dinner date out with the sunset. Recommend!
Not the first time I've been here and not the last! Love the food, they are always quick at service and very friendly. Shout out to the employee who has a British accent, every time I've gone he never disappoints at making us laugh and giving us a great experience (wine tour or at the register).
Such a lovely and relaxed atmosphere. We had a leisurely lunch and they were able to easily accommodate a large crowd of us. The portions were huge and the wine was delicious.
Very pleased with our choice to visit here under recommendation. The tasting was very nice with good person interactions with the bar tender over each of our 5 choices. She was young but knowledgeable. We were reluctantly seated by nice gentleman who we later found out to be the owner at a great table overlooking the vinyards. Our server was excellent and very engaging and friendly. We we're free to roam around the vinyards and check out the neat res phone booth in the middle of the vinyards to which you can make calls to anywhere in North America. The views we're excellent as well.
I am being generous because the food was greatly lacking. The mussels we got have been fresher in Ontario and this is right beside where you get them from. The service in the tasting flight was good, really loved the product he is selling. The buried wine has a great back story to it…bought 3 to enjoy at home. Oh and the gardens….wow a thing of beauty.
The food is fantastic! Wine tastings are fun, too. Beautiful scenery and landscaping.
Busy spot with a gorgeous view. The wine is superb!
Had a great lunch. Nice winery.
Really nice view. Staff is friendly and the food was very good. Wine is nice too.
We went on the Magic Winery Bus Tour and Luckett’s was our 3rd stop so we chose to stay here for two hours and dine in their restaurant for lunch which was delicious. The staff were all so knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely learned some new wine knowledge. It was pouring rain so unfortunately we couldn’t go out in the vineyard or go make a call in the famous red phone booth. But this just means we will have to come back again. Can’t wait.
The best place to grab food while visiting wineries. Lunch was delicious and well priced. Would defined return again for lunch. It tends to get busy so i would come before 11:30 to avoid a wait. We shared the charcuterie, mussels, steak pie and apple brie chicken sandwich. All were delicious!!
Good food ,good service, great view.
Amazing experience!
Poor customer service. We waited in line 20 minutes for wine tasting and no one bothered to check with us. We left. Disappointed
Visited this winery on the 8th of June, and I can’t say a bad thing about it. The wine is remarkable, the view is gorgeous and the food was fantastic. All the staff was extremely.friendly and knowledgable about the products. This is a must visit winery on your next wine tour. Oh yeah the prices of the wines and the meals aren’t has bad has you might think.
Beautiful winery! The food and wine are delicious! And we enjoyed the free call home!
No one at the door and short staffed. Was told to get up from a table to let other people sit there. It was freezing in the place so we left. Very disappointed
Excellent service, food and of course, wine!
Great lunch with excellent views
Beautiful Vineyard here at Luckett. Love the location. Also, their "grocery" section is incredible. Try the Chupa Dedos olives, they're amazing.
Delicious food and wine. Plus an amazing view and top notch service.
Amazing view, superb wines, gourmet food... a MUST if you are in Nova Scotia.
Great lunch out on the patio. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Be sure to arrive when they open as the line quickly gets very long
Excellent service, great food and wine and a view second to none.
Great wine! Great service! Loved it!
Food was excellent the service... Impeccable ????
Love this place! Gorgeous surroundings and amazing food/wine!
The vineyard is beautiful and the wines are very nice. The restaurant, on the other hand, had the worst service I have ever seen in a restaurant. We waited almost two hours for our food. In that time the wait staff said nothing to us. When we asked about when the food was coming, they said there was a big backup because there was a table of 25. That seems like something a venue like this should be able to handle logistically without sacrificing the service to others. Very disappointing experience. The food came out lukewarm and was overall a bad experience.
Perfect place to stay with family
What a beautiful spot! Can hardly wait to go back & try the restaurant.
Good service, good food, great location
Excellent food and wine with an amazing view!
The owner is rude and seems to have no respect for his neighbors.
Great as usual. Better steak and mushroom pie than my mother used to make, and hers were amazing.
A very nice winery outside of town. A beautiful property. It was super busy but staff were helpful and friendly. Wines was good but thought sample pricing was a little more expensive compared to other wineries.
Fabulously view of the vineyards Valley and ocean. Food is always superb!
Hard to judge on a rainy day, but the view was the best part. We only did a wine tasting but I felt like we were being rushed.
Beautiful vineyard. Reasonable prices. Amazing valley views.
From our table, (under gigantic tent) superb view of the vineyard and exceptional meal. Extensive wines for purchase. Knowledgeable and friendy staff, including maître d'/owner Brit Pete Luckett. A "gem" in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia.
Was very crowded due to rainy day, would have been better if the outside space was in use. Great location.
Celebrated our first week as husband & wife here and my birthday! Everything was so perfect we had to come back the next day! Thanks Pete & staff for making our experience wonderful!
Beautiful spot, but was very disappointed in the dining experience. After our group of 10 had to be split up (6 of us sitting at a table set for 8, with plenty of room to move one of the empty tables over), we were able to convince the staff to allow us to squeeze 2 chairs in so we could all sit together (for this I am grateful, however, we were rushed to sit down and made to feel as though we would lose our place in line when we would have gladly waited for a table that would accommodate our whole group). After serving a round of drinks and taking our order, the server did not return, and we were not offered anymore wine or water for the rest of the meal. One of our party flagged someone down on the way from the bathroom and was able to order a second glass that never arrived. Our dishes were not cleared until after we had paid and left the table. When it was time to pay our bills, our guest who paid in cash was asked in front of the table “how much change do you want back” and uncomfortably had to calculate tip percentage with the server standing next to her (which it did not feel as thought the server had earned one due to her absence from our meal). The food was delicious, but the lack of service and encouragement to try the wines left us feeling disappointed in the experience.
A bit expensive for tastings. And no fee waiver with purchases.
I had a great time. I didn't do the tour but popped in for lunch on the terrace. Lovely wine, good food, friendly service. I would go again.
Beautiful place with amazing view, wine tasting always good ????
Had a delicious lunch. The weather was perfect. The service was excellent.
I love this place! The food and wine selection are amazing. The staff are friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. The landscape and the views are very picturesque.
Lovely place. Good wines
Enjoy myself everytime I visit Luckett's. Great atmosphere! Friendly, knowledgeable staff that are always interesting to converse with. Old Bill is my favorite red and my favorite white was their Fizz this year.
Beautiful locale, very marketable tasting bar and eatery....full of noisy, badge toting, people milling about haphazardly after being disgorged from tour buses. Menu nothing special. After reading some of the reviews on Tripadvisor I can only conclude that many of the visitors here don't get out much and/or prefer the midway at the CNE (Toronto) to classy food and ambiance. Those so inclined should give this place a skip and head to Le Caveau (Grand Pre vineyards)
Beautiful spot with delicious food and wine. Recommend going to the phone booth on-site for a cute photo.
Get there early if you want lunch!
Service was very slow and had to ask for several items to be brought to table. Food was okay but not amazing. They need to also clear away dishes when meals are done.
Great service. Beautiful vineyard. Nice NS wines.
Good wine good place to eat
Amazing food, wine, cheese, service location...just everything!!
Absolutely beautiful place. Great wine. Incredible food. Fantastic staff.
Beautiful place lovely views and tasty wine
Very good wine, Love the phone box red wine. Very good food ar the restaurant as well. We had the fish for dinner, it was awesome.
We went on a tour from Halifax, three wineries and lunch was at Luckett's. It wasn't food from their great menu,as it was just for the tour. Fantastic sandwiches and salads. Never had a kale Ceasar before, but will in the future. They have an awesome selection of boutique foods and cheeses from all over. Good job Pete and staff.
The Bistro is a lovely place to stop for a meal. Delivious! The menu has something for everyone and the staff and owner are friendly and service is good. There is a wonderful view from the patio on a warm day and can be enjoyed from inside on cooler days. Tours are available and phone calls can be made from the the booth in the vineyard.
The food was delicious and the wine was great. The Scarlet was deliciously light and sweet, with out being overpowering. Certainly not a place for a quick bite, but the view makes the wait quite enjoyable.
Always great food and wine. The bonus is that there is a nice breeze every time. It is so beautiful to sit outside, enjoy the amazing view and eat a meal. Well worth the drive
Loved this place. Fabulous setting on the patio overlooking the vineyards and the surrounding countryside and mountains. Our food was excellent. This was a highlight of our trip to the Wolfville area.
Superb!!!
Amazing food, amazing wine, amaxing owner and staff!! I visit everytime I am.back in Annapolis Valley and highley recommend for others to visit. They are open in the fall so there is plenty of time to check it out. Recent renovations have been made to include indoor seating and it has made the place even better!! They have recently brought out a new riesling which is great but my favorites are the phone box white and the buried red!
Great spot with amazing food and drink! Bit of a wait today but that's usually a good sign. Will definately be back!
Nice place but they try too hard to be fancy. It's like a parody of a wine snob hangout, except it's not a parody.
Your seafood chowder was amazing with the tea biscuit and also your wine testing was very nice
I love this vineyard. I've done the wine testing and eaten here a couple times. The meals are amazing. I love that you can eat and drink the wine here. The charcuterie board is my favourite! The phone booth red wine is the best red (in my opinion ) In Nova Scotia. This winery is unique and has an old British phone booth where you can call anyone in the world! Great staff and worth the drive to the valley for the red wine (phone booth red) and meal.
Awesome food and service
Beautiful location, but far too touristy and over priced
Very beautiful patio and great tasting wine. We stopped in for some samples and a glass of wine. Really enjoyed sitting on the patio and looking over the vineyard. Try out the Phone Box in the vineyard while you're there.
Excellent service and fabulous food! Combined with a beautiful view You can't go wrong!
creamy seafood chowder????????
A taste of fancy and beauty.
The wine at Luckett is great. There is a real minerality to their wines. The owner is always around, and he is funny and friendly. The staff at the counter know a lot about the wines. Food there is tasty, and there are a few options if there are dietary restrictions. It's worth the stop if you have the time.
This place was visually stunning between the landscape and the buildings, outdoor patio and of course, their renowned red phone box! They're tasting price was fairly cheap and they offered free tours if you time it right - we were there around 2 pm. All of their wines seemed reasonable as well compared to some others we visited. Definitely worth a stop if you're trying to plan out your wine tasting day!
Wine and food is delicious
Great food,atmosphere, and friendly staff.
THE best vineyard, the food is perfect, the view from patio is spectacular and the wines are delicious.
Delicious fragrant food. Wish we could we stay longer.
Great place for lunch. Food is awesome!
Great location, beautiful views and friendly service.
Nice place for lunch on your Sunday drive. Recommended.
A beautiful place to visit. Have a wine tasting, then have lunch overlooking the wonderful Annapolis Valley, while sipping some great wines. Take a walk through the vineyard to the red British phone booth and make a call.
My husband and I went for lunch at the vineyard. The wine, mussels, fish chowder was wonderful, but the seafood bake was a dish with sea food? and mashed potatoes on top and baked in the oven. I was so pleased with what I already had that it was a great disappointment and ruined my whole experience when the seafood bake consisted of 98% potatoes and seafood , which got scared and ran away as it was impossible to find. I mentioned this to our waiter and he said he would let the chef know. He also told me he had already had complaints in reference to this dish. My husband had ordered a pie and his whole meal was perfect. I will go back again but differently won't order the seafood bake.
Beautiful view, friendly staff. Lovely place
Very busy food fab and talk on the wine very good interacted with everyone
Food was good, love the scenery. Took well over an hour to get our food but the staff was very apologetic and ensured we were compensated well.
It was a fun place to be. I did not eat there, but it a very nice place.
great place wish i had more time there. it was amazing.
Was a great experience! Everyone was so friendly , food was fabulous!!! Will go every visit to the valley. Thank you Pete for you great hospitality
Wow. What a view and complex.Great place worth the trip . Unique
Lunch was delicious. Wine and Cider delicious. Location and view is spectacular. Staff equally complement all we experienced.
Great restaurant and excellent wine selection. I had an amazing experience, I had lunch over looking the vineyard. The view was wonderful. You must use the phone booth in the vineyard, it's free to make a call anywhere. Overall great experience.
Lovely views. We dropped in late afternoon on a Saturday on July so there were no tables available without a reservation. Definitely recommend reservations for the evening.
A wonderful experience. Met Pete himself. Great food in a vineyard restaurant. Toured the winery. Toured the vineyard. Got a couple bottles of their finest to give as gifts.
The building and grounds are very nice. We didn't have a chance to try the restaurant due to time constraints, but did purchase some very good wine.
Superlative food, service and atmosphere. Not an economy meal out. As good as it gets. No reservation required so get there early...1200 noon at the latest if you want to be seated right away. Strongly recommend.
Awesome views, great wine and lively staff love the phone booth
Great food, wonderful service, stunning view
Even though there was a line to wait for a table we were seated fairly quickly. Pete is such a wonderful host and is so hands on making the guest experiance a great one! Kitchen seems to have been renovated recently and there is a second …
Excellent tour, food, views, and staff. Peter Luckett is extremely funny and very adept at handling visitors... especially those who are inward focused.
Wonderful location...lunch was perfect... exceeded my expectations...couldn't ask for more!
We stopped in today to browse and had wine tastings. This place is beautiful, Barb was wonderful, welcoming and definitely an asset! We left with a few bottles and will be back hopefully for a meal.
4 stars for the wine and the view, Phone Box white and red are great. Didn't give it 5 stars as it is way too busy plus they charge for tastings even when you buy.
Came here on a wine tour. Our wine bar tender was fantastic. Charming, charismatic and well informed. The store was amazing in design- it looked like a candy store but for wine. The tasting bar is also quite classy. We had lunch here as well. I had the beef sandwich and house salad. It was such a delicious and filling meal. I quite enjoyed their fizz and tidal bay. Delicious!! The scenery is very nice you can see the bay past the vineyard and the restaurant location allows you to see just that! And can’t forget the infamous phone booth!
Great place to taste wines, nice view.
Amazing Vineyard! Probably my favorite in the valley. Their restaurant is cute and they have amazing views of the ocean with great food!
Spectacular view across the vineyard and the Gaspereau and Annapolis Valleys with beautiful Blomidon in the distance. Good, reasonably priced food overlooking the view. Must do.
A truly awesome winery experience. Drew was so hospitable and knowledgeable and was very willing to chat more about the wines and vines. Great wines, beautiful property, a definite must visit!
The food is fancy and not my taste but the views are amazing!
Lunch with a great view of Grand Prē and the Bay of Fundy.
Great food and wine, first class service, sunny patio and awesome views. What's not to love.
Amazing place. Great wines and food.
Too commercial and too busy. Great view though.
Amazing experience for a corporate dinner. Personalize attention and a visit from Pete.
Restaurant was far too busy, so decided to partake in wine tasting. I have been here many times before and have always enjoyed the wine and atmosphere. The wine tasting was the slowest and most inefficient wine tasting experience I have ever had. The man serving the wine was also bussing tables outside in the patio as well as working the cash and the other 3 groups of wine tastings. He would disappear for several minutes at a time. Our tasting took upwards of 45 minutes because of wait times. After the tasting I purchased 4 bottles of wine and then was charged a $12 tasting fee as well. Any other tasting I have done the price has been waved with purchase. The couple beside me, did not buy any wine and were able to just leave the facility, without being charged anything. Most disappointed in my tasting experience overall.
Had lunch next to the vineyard. The food was absolutely delicious as was the beer. The service was not as good.
As always a great place for lunch and the tidal bay was amazing
Not my favourite winery on my tour, but this was a nice place. Average wine, but very friendly staff. A positive expérience
My husband and we're lucky enough to visit Lucketts vineyard and we were blown away . The scenery was breathtaking the food was fabulous tasty and delicious and the service was awesome Pete was wonderful he came to our table to speak with us .our waitress was a super sweet she prompt she had a beautiful smile.and our bartender for wine testing was very nice and very professional.the triumph vine and the berry red wine were my personal favs . I found it very interesting that the berry red wine is buried under ground for 1year
Best french fries ever! Of course their wines are great as well.
Great set up for wine tasting
Loved the atmosphere, wine and food! The seafood chowder is a definite must!
Scenic, lovely service, delicious meal, paired with their wines made there
5/5 for the view, food and atmosphere. Can't beat the location on a beautiful fall day. The wines are at best 3/5 for me. However, the Cordelia port is fantastic. Focus on the overall experience and you won't be disappointed by the wine.
Awesome place for food, wine and more ..**
Great food, awesome view.
Amazing staff food and wine cant wait to go back
Super good food and a stunning view
The meal was excellent and the service was superb and the view was breathtaking would recommend to anybody to take advantage of five star winery and food location
Had a wonderful lunch. Good weather and nice vistas
Great food .... charcuterie and cheese board
The best vineyard I have ever been to. A absolutely amazing restaurant with amazing views and killer value. Truly one of the best places I visited in NS. Also a great wine selection.
Very nice restaurant and view
Really good food kinda expensive
We had a fantastic time visiting Luckett vineyards! Unfortunately we only had time to drop by one vineyard when passing through the Annapolis valley, and we're so glad that we chose Lucketts. The location is just stunning (including that iconic phone box in the middle of the vineyard)... we didn't stay for lunch but had a wine tasting with a great array of their whites, reds and dessert wine. You could pay slightly extra to taste their premium selection, but we were more than happy with the standard selection (in fact we purchased 5 bottles, some for us and some to bring home as gifts). Our server was highly knowledgeable and filled us in on the Nova Scotia specific Tidal Bay wine, which was a personal favourite. Would definitely return!
Great view on the patio, vintage phone booth right in vineyard
Good wines and amazing views of the region.
One of our first stops on our tour for lunch and wine tasting. The ricotta bread and pork was outstanding. The Reuben and fries with aioli was awesome along with the pot pie. The wine tasting area was impressive along with the views. Staff was amazing and service was excellent.
Loved visiting the Luckett Vineyard. Nice atmosphere..large deck with a beautiful view, tasty wine and food. Even got to meet Pete himself !!
It was a wonderful experience!!! Lunch was the best.
Great wine and very friendly staff. If you have not been to Lucketts Vineyard you should good it is worth the visit
Placed our order at 2:02 and received it at 3:15. We had 2 adults and child. We ordered the fish tacos and a shared board as well as a grilled cheese. An extremely long wait in the hot sun for a small order. We also had an extremely intoxicated woman sitting behind us which made our wait worse !! :(
Lovely view during lunch, followed by free phone call from British phone booth in middle of the vineyard, yummy tastings, topped off by meeting Pete Luckett himself!
Good: The wine is very good and the property is beautiful. Bad: The staff member brought up some politics (support of the "previous president," Trump, and environmental policy) that made us pretty uncomfortable. In general he talked at us a lot and it wasn't an experience I would repeat. Of note: The wine tasting is fairly expensive compared to other ones I've done (in NS and elsewhere). It's $13 + tip and is not waved if you purchase wine. Correction: $12, not $13
Parking accommodations are limited; driving by here on q busy day feels very uncomfortable as there are cars lining both sides of the road and people crossing without looking. To add to the danger, this all takes place on a very steep hill.
Awesome
Great dinning experience with breathtaking views
Lovely vineyard and the tastings are alsp cheap + they also ship all over Canada for cheap. The phone booth wines are amazing and great photo op
Beautiful place and great food and wine. Certainly a must go to place in the summer
Beautiful part of the Valley...great view...not wine drinkers, but we are going to try a couple bottles..
they have a hook with the phone booth but the wine was sub par to be kind there are far better wines available in NS.
Our meal was superb, the wine was lovely and the view was breathtaking!
Wine tasting was fun. Grape vines were beautiful.
Great food great views and very good wines. Our favorite stop in our wine tour.
Started with a meal in the restaurant, which was delicious and our server was informative with food and wine pairings. Finished off with a wine tasting and the wine was delightful. Had a lovely chat with one of the workers from Europe. A great experience overall. Will be back next year for sure
We had such a fabulous time visiting the vineyard and dining in their restaurant. We brought friends visiting from the Muskokas in Ontario and a great time was had by all! We even got to meet Pete! ????
Really nice - love the photos when first walked in. A happy and busy place. Women's washroom smelled and needed cleaning and probably sone upgrading there.
Great place....menu is varied and well priced....oh yes and the wine!!!!! Awesome view!!
Food is delish. Servers are awesome. View spectacular. And its was nice of Pete to take the time from his busy day to have a quick chat with us. I remember him from his "toodley doo" days.
So pretty
Had a delicious lunch at Luckett vineyard, shared some fish tacos, avocado toast, cubano sandwich and their olive platter. Everything was tasty and all the portions were a perfect size for the price point. Strongly suggest anyone in the area to come sample some wines and food from Luckett vineyards
The best wine. We love the owner he has always been very good to us evertime we visit Nova Scotia
Great wine. Friendly staff. Just a good place to visit. We will be back soon.
Good food with great views and Worth definitely a visit.
Sit in the open air sipping a beverage, a delicious bite and enjoy the view.
A beautiful place to discover how grapes can be grown. Not only that, there is also a place to relax in.
Gorgeous view, delicious food and wine, excellent service
Went just recently, very busy. Unfortunately had poor service from the gentleman who served us our tastings. He made some unfriendly comments and we felt like we were not welcome. We purchased two premium tastings so as to try all the products. Would recommend having some signage explaining how the payment for tastings works. We were criticized for paying for our tastings before having tastings by host. Typically this is how it works at other wineries we frequent. Positives: we sampled the olives and olive oil. So good, bought both and would recommend. Hopefully our negatives are not the norm.
Second time visiting the vineyard on our trips out East. Great food and great atmosphere. A must try is the Phone Booth white wine, any of their pies or the seafood bake!
Food was fantastic
Wine is wine, most of it is all good. I didn’t come here for the wine, I came for the experience. Little did I know I would be taken away to a different culinary world. Not a fancy one, but one that would have me thinking about the appetizer I had every. single. day. I came to Nova Scotia to visit a friend, I am from Toronto. I came for a week, and she decided Lucketts was a great place to go. The olives were magical. But then I decided to order the calamari to start, I’m not sure what I ordered after that.... and I don’t care. The calamari was out of this world! It’s been almost a year, and I still think about it. Everyday. How fresh, soft, crispy and tasty it was. Like biting into a piece of deep fried butter, only better. I have tried others, but non compare. Not even close. I still magically dream of coming back to Lucketts on a nice crispy fall day, enjoying the beautiful views and ordering copious amounts of Calamari. And wine. Thank you Lucketts. We will meet again. Kelly
The best food and wine! Beautiful stop! And Pete is usually puttering around which is great! He is a great guy and is always happy to see his new friends.
Great view, delicious food and good service
Great wine and food with a large outdoor seating area. Great spot.
Beautiful vineyard. We shared the luckett line up wine flight which included 5 wines. Great spot to do a wine tasting!
Beautiful vineyard. We shared the luckett line up wine flight which included 5 wines. Great spot to do a wine tasting!
Great meal and views with my family
Four out of five only because this is a corporate type winery rather than small cozy establishment. The view and grounds are amazingly well done. Wine good if you like mostly sweeter wines. Several good drier whites and semi sweet reds. Food is very good. Appetizers and charcuterie top notch. Store associated with wine shop has a very wide assortment of foods like spreads, charcuterie, olives, crackers all reasonably priced. Novel phone booth with free calls in vineyard is unique and ties to the wine names. Highly recommended for the view and to chill out.
BUSY
Delicious food, beautiful setting, and friendly helpful service. Will absolutely be back.
What an fantastic spot, the view was stunning. The food was amazing, I just cant praise the calamari enough. Our waitress was wonderful she made a great recommendation and pairing. Such a wonderful spot to have a bite to eat and pick up a bottle or two for later! I can't wait to go back.
Wonderful part of Grape Escapes Tour. Lunch delicious, excellent service. So much wine to choose from.......something for everyone ! Only 1 suggestion.....place a few seats in exit area. Waiting for bus departure, sit back & enjoy the fabulous view. Highly recommend.
Spent our 30th wedding anniversary at Luckett's vineyards. Great food ,great wine, very accommodating people. ALL GOOD. Scenery was great.
Beautiful winery, friendly owner and great chowder!
Great! But, beware of unpleasant 'surprises' in your food. Tucked away in a little unassuming area of Nova Scotia, this little vineyard has a certain Mediterranean charm that makes you feel like you’re miles away from Canada. The store - which is the first section of a multipart winery and restaurant - is beautifully decorated with light blond shelves displaying wines and a variety of accoutrements including cheeses, cured meats, serve ware and olives. Opposite of the shelves is a large wine tasting area where you can sample 3 wines for $5 or 5 wines for $10. We tried the 5 and enjoyed the Rieslings, Fizz and Rosetta. In addition to producing wines, Luckett’s also produces their own olive oil and when we went, blueberries from their fields. As for the vineyard itself, guests are allowed to tour the grounds at their own leisure. Having been to many vineyards on the west coast, we spent very little time doing this but provided a nice walk on a beautiful day. For those interested, there is the ubiquitous red phone booth for which the vineyard uses as a mascot located on the grounds for fun photos. The most enticing reason and why we (and hundreds of others who were also there on the same day) chose to visit the vineyard though, is the on-site restaurant. Situated on the patio directly outside of the winery/store, the bistro overlooks the vineyard with the Bay of Fundy in the distance and is decorated with olive trees and beautiful flowers. We were lucky and managed to get a table within 15 minutes of putting our names down, but noticed at least 20 others in line behind us. The Bistro was very busy with all staff going at high gear including the owner who was running around seating people and clearing tables. It was a little windy that day, but the restaurant had a large supply of blankets for everyone. Having already had lunch but not being able to resist how good everything looked, we ordered the mussels and the charcuterie platter. The mussels were hands down the best mussels we had in all of Nova Scotia (I tried 7 other restaurants). They were perfectly cooked, fresh and seasoned impeccably. But, the star of the show was definitely the charcuterie platter. It was put together SO beautifully and packed full of veggies, olives, bread, meats and other accompaniments. I would say this is the best charcuterie platter I’ve ever seen… Until we found a big hairy black fly (quite dead) marinated in with the peppers. Maybe because the platter was so beautiful that the sight of the fly was especially repugnant, but we lost our appetite for the platter right after. Upon notifying our server, he was open to getting us a new platter but we were a little put off to want a second one. I’m not sure if this is a common occurrence here, but the server excuse what happened with the fact that we were in an outdoor setting and this was a risk for being in nature. Thinking back, I this would have been a reasonable justification if the fly had flown into our food, but it was already dead and folded into the roasted peppers, indicating this happened within the kitchen (not outdoors). All in all, based on the setting and food (great mussels and from what we did get to eat from the platter - about 15%), I would recommend checking this place out. I would however, check the food very carefully unless you’re okay with more exotic sources of protein.
Had a great Thanksgiving Monday afternoon at Luckett Vineyards, took the steps to taste 5 different strands. Phone box red was a walkway favourite for me! A definite must-try.
Amazing as always. They're short staffed during covid-19, so please be patient!
Awesome place! The grapes weren't ready, but it was a great tour.
We have been to Luckett’s many times and have loved it. This time I think possibly it was understaffed or disorganized. We arrived at about 130 on a Monday afternoon to a line which was expected. However the hostess was cleaning tables and seating people. But no one told us it would be a 40+ minute wait. Not once did she come through the line to take our name and say how long the wait was. We also wanted to do a tasting but didn’t want to leave our place for lunch. If they took a name and number etc we could have shopped and did some Tastings while we waited. We watched many open tables sit open during our whole wait. We actually watched one table be cleaned twice and sit open the whole time. This was ultimately the table we ended up seated at. No once did anyone apologized about the wait or say the were understaffed. It just seemed that the hostess was lost and doing too much. She would clean tables while there was many tables open and cleaned. Seating multiple 4 person Tables while many 2 person tables were open at the time. My review was still given as 4 stars as we really enjoyed the food and service the many times we were there before. There was obviously a disconnect this time around. In the end we didn’t bother doing a tasting or shopping as we already spend almost 2 hours just for lunch.
Pluses and minuses to this place. The view of the vineyard is exceptional. It's up on a hill looking down over rolling hills, and the whole site is nice really. The service is absolutely terrible though. They are way understaffed and don't set priorities. I paid $12 for a tasting but there person helping me couldn't get a full sentence out before someone showed up at the cash and she ran off leaving me waiting. For some reason I decided to have lunch there as well and the service was again painfully slow. Another plus, they have a phone booth in the vineyard where you can call anywhere in North America for free. The food is pretty good. I ordered two dishes and both came with hair in them. It left me wondering whether this was intentional flavouring or just a health code violation. One was a short black hair and the other was long blonde, so maybe these do have different seasoning properties. The wine is good and priced fairly for the quality. Might return for the nice views, but don't have too high expectations.
Great food and view!!! So beautiful
Exceptional in every way. Food, service, scenery.
It's a million dollar view! Lunch in the vineyard, wonderful staff, Pete, the owner, seating guests, and the working English telephone booth in the middle of th vineyard, what more could possibly top this experience?! We live near wine country in Ontario and by far our experience at Luckett's Vineyard was the best yet!!! It's a must see for visitors to N.S.!
Aromatic wines Good food The oysters were fresh Alan was knowledgable about the vines
