One of the best wineries in Nova Scotia. Always something new to try at the tasting bar. Went here twice on the third week of August with my wife and tried too many great wines to name them all. Thanks to Wynter and Brandon for making our experience so fun. Will be back soon.

We arrived at lightfoot for our first stop on the Magic Bus Wine Tour because it seemed to be the most talked about winery. After our first sample that was included with the tour my partner and I decided to head to the tasting counter to enjoy a sample of the other wines offered, unfortunately due to my partners speech impediment when asking about the available choice’s a male attendant with clear framed glasses decided we weren’t aloud to be served any additional alcohol due to over consumption. I can tell you there wasn’t another argument we happily left and spent the rest of the afternoon at Luckett Vinyards where we were more than welcome and had a great time. Lightfoot was sadly a true disappointment.

Would have given this place a 5 star except for the fact that this place is so massive and I ended up on one of the busiest, most crowded days of the week, and not to mention that the bathroom situation isn’t exactly to the standards of the rest of the building(I’m talking private stalls but still has large cracks at hinges for everyone to see you, terrible ventilation, ice cold water for washing hands, and tiny winny napkins to dry your hands with). That being said, it’s an amazingly gorgeous rustic style winery with impeccable taste in decor and style. This would be a magical place for a wedding or any big fancy event to boot. The architecture is very much on point and worth the visit just for that. I can’t comment on the service as we had none. We waited around about a half hour to try and squeeze in for a tasting at the large bar but it was practically impossible that day with so much people. Not exactly what I call a relaxed atmosphere for trying out new wines. I will be coming again, perhaps less at peak season just to get a second take on this place as I’m not quite dissatisfied altogether.

I attended a function at this vineyard for the first time. Magnificant and breathtaking scenery, Nice Tidal Bay wine, very accommodating staff, and unique foods coming from a great chef and obviously an interesting kitchen. I WILL return and perhaps stay overnight nearby.

My wife and I got married at Lightfoot + Wolfville just over a week ago and we still haven't come down from cloud 9. What an absolutely perfect location + incredible venue for a wedding. The staff were attentive, friendly and beyond helpful. The food (locally sourced and expertly crafted) was delicious. Kori, one of the Lightfoot family members, handled every detail of our event with poise, professionalism and perfection. She made our day stress free. Wines are quite nice here. I do not recommend the restaurant. It completely ruined our experience. Huge delays, poor service, a lot of attitude from the server when it wasn't 1/3 full. Would not return based on that experience alone.

Minimal food selection on the menu. The kids had pizza which was excellent. The salmon was well prepared(medium rare), the accompanying lobster chowder was lacking and flavorless. The porkloin was overcooked but the zucchini salad that came with it was perfect. Beautiful grounds and facility. Overall we probably won't return.

This place has a great atmosphere. We had our anniversary dinner outside under the tent and it was lovely! They treated us so well, and went above and beyond. Our server was so incredibly warm and friendly. The food was delish, especially the pizza. If you're looking for a nice summer date spot this is the place!

Wine tasting was great. We choose three different 'flights', and shared our palate experiences. Each was unique and gave us a full range of flavors. At the end we also sampled the Scheuerebe (sp?)... Very flavorful and flowery!

We were just at Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards in Wolfville, we had our two small dogs with us. We asked if they had a dog friendly area, which we were assured they did. There was one table on the grass, next to other tables. Most of the tables had umbrellas, we asked if we might have an umbrella for our table, it was extremely hot outside and we found the sun made it worse, there is a hole for an umbrella. We were told, in no uncertain terms, that they would not accommodate our request. It made us feel very unwelcome, especially the way it was handled. Obviously, Lightfoot Vineyards have plenty of business that they can be rude, un-accomodating and turn business away. They probably received plenty of taxpayer money to help them through covid. Went to many of the other Vineyards last year and Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards place at the bottom of the list by far. Posted this over 2 weeks ago, you can tell how concerned they are about reviews from their prompt response to none of the reviews.

I have had the pleasure of having my second public tour of Lightfoot&Wolfville winery, this time with Kori Lightfoot, who did an outstanding job entertaining us with her wit and animation in addition to packing in an incredible amount of information about the winery, the family history, the grape varieties and the biodynamics that make the winery unique. My friend and I had amazing dining service, top shelf wood fired pizza and Riesling overlooking the beauty of the vines and Bay of Fundy. It’s clear my brother and his talented family have set the bar very high. Thanks everyone for all your great attitudes and hard work!

I know it's not tourist season so didn't expect much but very disappointed with tasting experience today. Nothing offered by way of information on the Winery just recitation of wine properties. Wine was okay but all tastings served in the same glass with no thought to order of tasting. Server made us feel like an inconvenience. Beautiful venue but that was it.

Awesome supper last night at Lightfoot&Wolfville. Beautiful outdoor dining area (well spaced table as to comply with the current sanitary restrictions). You feel like you are in the middle of the vineyard. Tha waiting staff is great, Tessa took good care of us without being pressing (we were the last seating of the day) and the food was delicious. A sure return the next time myself and the wife are in the Valley!

I have been to Lightfoot several times and each time I go there is something new to enjoy. From the ever changing selections of wood fired pizza to the local meats and cheeses on their charcuterie boards, everything is top notch. As an added bonus to the great food is the view, overlooking the vineyards and the ocean. If the breeze is just right you can smell the wood smoke from the pizza oven.

We had a wonderful time at the winery. Sean greeted us and was very polite and welcoming. Brandon was extremely knowledgable and guided us through our wine tasting. He took the time to answer our questions about the wine making process. His extensive customer service and experience were very evident in his answers and he made the experience fantastic. I would definitely recommend doing a wine tasting at the bar. The grounds were also beautiful.

We arrived Sunday afternoon at about 430 and the tables were not half full and many had reserved on them. We were a group of 6 and at first the hostess was hesitant that they could even seat us as we did not have a reservation. She then after a few minutes said they could get us a table and the 3 ladies with us asked if they could have blankets as it was getting cool, they had seen a couple of people had them. They were told no more blankets, which seemed odd that a restaurant with that many tables had 3 or 4 blankets. They finally did find 2 more blankets. The service was quite slow and even though several people had asked for extra crispy pizza they were certainly not cooked well. The interesting thing was I do not think anyone ever sat at all the reserved tables.

Lightfoot and Wolfville is one of my favourite wineries to stop by on my way out of the Annapolis Valley. The winery itself is beautiful and aside from top-notch wine, they also serve incredible wood-fired pizza along with other fare. This summer, we stopped by for their BBQ themed dinner which was fantastic. I learned recently that they’re also offering themed dinner services throughout October & November. L&W is a lovely spot to drop by for a simple wine tasting and ground tour or a full dinner service. Pick up a few bottles of wine to go and maybe a few for friends who are wine lovers also! I also have to say, the wine labels are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen.

Beautiful winery! We came in to do a wine tasting and the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was amazing. Price is $10 for 4 wines which is high for a tasting in Canadian wineries but they had some of the most unique wines (including a stellar red kekfrankos sp?) we tried as we toured around so I count it well worth it. Tasting price is waived if you spend 50.00 on wine which we did easily. Only wish we could've tried more and eaten there but the timing didn't work out.

Wine is over price. They sell their own wine at the restaurant but they charge $30 more for the bottle than what they actually charge at the store... They sell the bottle $50 at their store and $80 - $90 at the restaurant. Not even worth the $50. Food is great tho

Great setting which is why there are 3 stars. All pizza’s were drizzled with honey although it is not stated on the menu that it’s to be there, with the exception of one. Some would enjoy this additive, a diabetic not so much! Friendly servers but.....Very slow service.....coffee was likely out of a thermos and was barely room temperature, waited 20 minutes for two desserts and we were the last table in the room. The experience could have been much better. We left disappointed.

The experience is exceptional. Walking into the huge entrance way that leads straight to the wood fire oven is amazing. The lay out is perfect because walking in your naturally drawn to the wood fire to see what it's about. And when your get there you see the seating area. The food is really really great! The portions are all designed to be shared and are generous, if people get cold they bring you a blanket with a Nova Scotian tartan on them. While you eat there's beautiful panoramic views of the country side. Would make a fantastic wedding venue! 10/10 I will definitely be returning.

The Lightfoot family is amazing. We rented the wine cellar for our Parents anniversary and they were professional, kind and genuine through the whole process. The grounds were stunning, the cellar was beautiful and the ambiance was truly magical. Kori was a treat to deal with. We hit one hiccup and she approached the situation like a champion showing professionalism and compassion for our event and what this meant to our family. Also a special thanks to James, Megan, Kane, & Jackie who delivered top notch service throughout the event. Our 3rd Winery on our Tour we took out of Halifax, NS. Beautiful property which 4 generations later now a winery and organic farming. They cut the horns off the steers, stuff with manure and bury for 2 years to develop organic fertilizer. The owners are very in tune with the environment. The water, tides and local mountains protect the Annapolis Valley. Our young tour guide was both friendly and very informative. Having been involved in the US Wine Industry for 35+ years prior to retiring with the original founding and development of Virginia's largest winery as EVP, CFO & Treasurer, I can see there is nothing but good things happening here with Canada's Wineries of Nova Scotia. Here Here we raise our glasses to you!

This is a very beautiful place the visitors are amazing the service is outstanding and the food is fantastic. They have wine tasting tours tasting room and lots of space for everyone have outdoor eating area under a tent they have outdoor eating area without two tents and they have a huge room in the basement where you can seat 200 people. It's great for weddings a large functions and they can accommodate large groups.

It’s really too bad because this place is beautiful. The food took an extremely long time and by the time the food came it was underwhelming, especially since they advertised the “award winning chef”. The chowder was watery, lobster in the salad was tough and the pizza was undercooked. Our server seemed to almost be in tears, probably because everyone else was experiencing the same thing. Also, the girl doing tasting was so rude to me. I walked up to the bar and asked to join in on my dad’s tasting and she literally starred me straight in the face, said nothing and walked away. Like... aha k. overall it was really disappointing and I’d recommend just coming for the scenery, having a sip of wine and promptly leaving.

Great experience! Had a gd LOVELY time! My friend Nigel and I spent the entire day at Lightfoot and Wolfville, and honestly didn't want to leave! Started out by having a tour/tasting in the vineyard with Laura. Laura was very knowledgeable and was able to answer everyone's questions. Shes got charisma honey, look it up. The pizza and lobster salad changed my life, and our server was the sweetest. We had a few taster flights in the tasting room and we got the 411 on biodynamic wine, and all the details that go into making Lightfoot and Wolfville so special. In the tasting room we met Alex. Alex was engaging and a complete delight to chat to. (also a total dreamboat HUNK) (thats right) he knew his stuff and we were thoroughly charmed. Left with a few bottles of wine and feeling like our souls were happy and full. what more could you ask for!

In our opinion… by far the best wine and tasting experience in the area. We did a tasting in one of their private rooms with Hannah. It was an hour long sampling of 6 of their wines. It was worth every penny. She was great. Finished off with margarita pizza on the patio Lightfoot was the highlight of the day.

I have been to Lightfoot twice and I will not go back. We (2 people) arrived both times at not-peak times to eat. Both times the eating area was at less than half capacity. We were told both times we could not be accommodated due to reservations and a waiting list. The first time we were ultimately seated- although the patio never filled up. Yesterday we were told we could "stand on the grass" for 30-45 minutes on the waitlist although you can see from the attached photo there are more empty tables than occupied. Clearly though they must be doing very well if they can continually turn away paying customers.

Company attended Wine Tour. Food was 45 minutes or more. Coworkers pizza took an additional 10 after we got ours. "90 second pizza my ass." No water on the table after the initial glass fill or attention paid to us. Actually, other tables had pitchers or bottles. Had to skip dessert as we were massively behind on our tour now. Drink was comped, but dessert was already paid for. Food was good though. Just the service and speed completely wrecked the experience. Will get a resounding meh when recounted. Nice spot though.

This was our second visit to Lightfoot & Wolfville for lunch. It’s a lengthy drive for us from the other side of NS but we love the setting and enjoy their wines. $10 for a 6 oz. glass of L & W rose is a tad pricey. The wood-fired pizza is great - but that was expected because they have a massive wood-fired oven. My husband chose the the fish of the day and for $20, expected more than a 4 oz piece of salmon with julienned zucchini and a light sauce. Two items only on the plate! I shared my pizza crusts with him because he was still hungry after eating this ‘main’. We’ll keep supporting L & W by buying their wines. Today’s visit was disappointing, especially after ‘staying the blazes home’ for 16 months.

I thought this place was going to be a little too mainstream for us but I was blown away by everything here. I can see why it's a popular spot! The entire place is visually stunning from the drive up to three parking lot and the massive barn building to the wood burning fireplace and to top it all off the views overlooking fields, rivers and mountains. The people seemed extremely passionate about their wine and the bottle labels are so well designed. All the wines we tasted were delicious. The tasting price was within range I believe. The store had much more than wine to offer, we were lucky to get out of there without buying many, many things. We will definitely be returning to this place!

I have been to Lightfoot several times and each time I go there is something new to enjoy. From the ever changing selections of wood fired pizza to the local meats and cheeses on their charcuterie boards, everything is top notch. As an added bonus to the great food is the view, overlooking the vineyards and the ocean. If the breeze is just right you can smell the wood smoke from the pizza oven.

We recently had my son's wedding at Lightfoot and Wolfville and it was the most amazing night. The venue was like something out of a fairy tale. The food was excellent and the service was nothing but perfect. Both my son and new daughter-in-law were able to enjoy their wedding because everything was in the hands of the staff at Lightfoot and Wolfville. I have never enjoyed a wedding like this and not because it was my son's but because everyone was thoroughly enjoying themselves and everything went so smooth. Thank you for everything LIghtfoot and Wolfville. The most beautiful venue for a wedding!

The experience is exceptional. Walking into the huge entrance way that leads straight to the wood fire oven is amazing. The lay out is perfect because walking in your naturally drawn to the wood fire to see what it's about. And when your get there you see the seating area. The food is really really great! The portions are all designed to be shared and are generous, if people get cold they bring you a blanket with a Nova Scotian tartan on them. While you eat there's beautiful panoramic views of the country side. Would make a fantastic wedding venue! 10/10 I will definitely be returning.

We recently hosted our wedding at Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyard. We cannot rave enough about the entire experience! From planning to execution, the entire team were incredible. The food was outstanding and of course, the wine! Our families and guests all commented on how professional, helpful and attentive the Lightfoot team was. The layout of the winery is perfect for a wedding. We will forever cherish the memories. If you are looking for an event venue I would highly recommend Lightfoot! Or if you are passing through town, stop by for a delicious bite to eat, taste some amazing wines and take in the views of the Annapolis Valley! Thank you Lightfoot & Wolfville! :)

Beautiful spot. This winery has an incredible view of Blomidon and the Minas Basin and the vineyard. Lunch is served in a large venue style tent. On windy days the sides are zipped shut and sunny days they are rolled up. There are four other outdoor patios where you can sit and have a glass of wine as well. You can stroll through the vineyards and play washer toss after a wine tasting or dinner. The architecture of the barn is stunning with the large outdoor fireplace and wood fired pizza oven and wine shop. In the winter, they have hosted the wine festival and sell separate tickets to have multiple course meals served in the wine cellar.

A stunning vineyard and beautiful spot to enjoy a wine flight tasting. We enjoyed two different sparkling wine flights and loved all of them. Their wine here is spectacular. Definitely a must see in Wolfville.

What a beautiful property! Fantastic ambiance sitting outside under a tent eating. The stone oven pizza was excellent, but the other items we sampled were lacking in quality and quantity. It is a new kitchen and i have only been there once, so i will give them the benefit of the doubt and go back for a second try next year. Definitely go for the awesome pizza and great wine.
