Incredible rum! I bought the coffee maple and the coffe hits you first, then the mild maple. Outstanding and great price point at 34.99. Nice tasting room and great customer service.

Great visit

Stopped in at the end of our distillery tour of Cape Breton in 2018. No tours, rather impersonal service and didn’t really feel welcome. Brought home a bottle of SeaFever rum and almost three years later, it’s half consumed and gathering dust on my liquor tray.

My wife and I attended their inaugural beekeeping workshop and it was an excellent experience! We learned about what beekeeping entails, the equipment used, and were treated twice to eating some fresh honey - once straight from a honeycomb (beeswax and all - eating the beeswax was optional! haha) and once after they demonstrated a spinning extractor to get honey from the honeycomb en masse. It was just awesome and the honey was delicious!! The beekeepers were very knowledgeable and willing to answer any and all questions. And two people from the Authentic Seacoast marketing team were on hand and ensuring things ran smoothly - awesome job everyone! After getting information and honey, we were then led on a short walk over to one of the locations where they keep the bee boxes (containing hives) - what an experience! The bees were calm and so were all participants such that we were all able to walk up close to the boxes and see the thousands of bees in action - amazing to see in person. Not a single person was stung either! We were then given a sneak peek of the yurts they are building on-site that they plan to eventually rent out - all on the grounds where they are also establishing a huge vineyard! Just a beautiful place and so much ecological activity going on - they really seem vested in making their part of the world better (and many times that day acknowledged that bees are so important and everyone needs to do what they can to help the bees - awesome stuff to hear from a business). The only feedback I would offer is that the refreshments didn't come out until it was too late and many people had to leave! Thankfully there was honey :) (It was scheduled from 11:30 to 2 but went until at least 2:30 - which is when we left - as it was all just so interesting!) I also would advise the organizers to ensure they have benadryl on hand in case someone were stung who was allergic and didn't know - always better safe than sorry as they say! Overall it was an excellent first event - I feel they will continue to tweak it and make it even better, given the enthusiasm I saw! Thank you for a great afternoon with the bees! :)

Stayed in the dog friendly yurts number 3 and 9 with our friends. Had a really great time there. The hottub and sauna still weren't running yet but there were lots of other things to do on the property and surrounding areas but if you were visiting in winter hopefully this will be ready by then. The yurts themselves were very spacious and clean. The property was meticulously maintained. I definitely plan to return this winter. My only criticism was they are a coffee roaster yet didn't have a barista to serve espresso based drinks or even a proper espresso machine. Seemed a little odd where they are in the business of roasting beans.

Stumbled on this out of the way jewel of a distillery last fall was we explored Nova Scott. Enjoyed sampling their variety of whiskey and talking to the bartender. Bought a bottle of Glennevann and nursed it until this spring. Well worth the effort to get there.

Called to inquire about a wedding held here for summer 2018 was told they would get back to me that never happened called again and again 4 times total, As we really wanted to host our wedding here with the golf course and hotel so close with local beer and rum on site we thought it would be a great location, As well as help the local economy out with over 100 people playing golf booking rooms eating buying gas etc I have always been a fan of the golf course over my years coming home from Ontario every summer however I was shocked nobody ever got back to me guess they didn't want our business.

Great service. Tried a few beers on tap, and of course picked up a bottle of Fortress rum. Walked the Vinyard, and checked out the bee hives. The Yurts look amazing.

Extremely rude employees. Was once a big supporter and recommended the product all the time but after dealing with their employees at a booth while at a expo all that has changed. I waited 20 minutes in line to sample some new product but was skipped over and ignored to serve a older gentleman who they probably assumed was going too be more likely too purchase a bottle.

We really enjoyed our stay this past weekend! Our wood-fired, pet friendly yurt was very cozy. Bed and pillows were super comfortable. Facilities were brand new and extremely clean. Will be back.

Why are you permitting people to stay during severe wind storms? Reschedule and actually protect the safety of your guests, don't be greedy. Don't ever stay here during winter or hurricane season since they'll just force you to stay in a storm then demand you run to the nearest building?

Keith Redl

They do not answer email or voice mail in winter. They do not post their hours online, so as a tourist looking to explore the source of Fullsteam coffee and bring more back to Toronto, no answer = no business.

blake snook

Great tasting experience. Amazing flavors of distilled and brewed beverages. Watch hours as it closes for the season.

Don't show up at 2pm expecting a tour, you will likely be disappointed. The website has been updated since our first visit and it appears that tours need to be arranged ahead of time. Refills are available but only for Rare Bird's own growlers. They will not fill stainless steel or competitor's growlers. Nice selection of beer and spirits available to sample and purchase by the bottle, as well as excellent coffee and delicious rum cake.

My husband and I booked 2 nights In a yurt mid January 2022 . We where on our way there and staff called us to warn us of a coming storm so they put us in a hotel room on the site then proceeded to get us into a yurt asap that morning. Staff was amazing. Thankyou John for all your help !!! They brought wood when we needed it , the hottub was ready to go and anything else we needed they where their for us Facilities where amazing , bathrooms clean and beautifully built , yurt was cozy and bed was comfy . Not to mention the sauna and the views . Beautiful place we will be back !!!

Excellent tasting experience. The variety of products (whiskeys, beer, rum, and even a vodka) is impressive. Great experience overall.

Absolutely appalling service. Terrible owners. Terrible experience. This company is more concerned about having influencers create a false impression that this place is fun and inviting than they are about rectifying a situation that left customers in what felt like a life threatening situation. Do your due diligence before booking with this company, they are notorious for deleting bad reviews, and not following up with client complaints. There was a massive storm that left customers in an extremely unsafe position, yurt swaying, leaking in multiple places, and no way to get to a safe shelter in white out conditions and the owners seemed to not be concerned at all. I would not recommend this company ever.

I had a bad stay at Authentic Seacoast yurts in September of 2021. We booked yurt 5 for the hot tub, asked for it to be ready and it was not when we arrived. It wasn't even filled with water. We paid extra for the spot just for this reason. We had been promised, and it was in their site rules, that there would be a golf cart to use and this never materialized while we were there for two days. This is a large property and walking during the rain that fell the second day we were there was not great. We had no access to the sauna, it wasn't ready. We were charged for wood but not given kindling or paper, we were charged for ice even though there is no other way to keep your food fresh as there is no power. You have to wash your own dishes at the bathroom, which made me question how clean things are if the guests are asked to clean up after themselves. We had no wifi at our yurt, even though we were promised a number of times over our stay that this would be fixed, it never was. When I brought all of this to the owners attention, he accused me of lying. Said there were no issues with the wifi and that they were not responsible for the hot tub not being available. He would offer no money back on the charges for the more expensive unit. The only reason they get 2 stars and not one is that the staff is nice, and the view lovely.
