+ ice wine slush, + nice setting, - we felt pushed to buy wine immediately Our innkeepers recommended to go to the ice house because of their great ice wine slush. So we followed their recommendations and have to admit the ice wine is super delicious and the slush a real delight during a hot summer day. Though their wines are great, I didn’t like the way we were handled. When entering the tasting room an employee with a kind of snippy attitude approached us, passed us two samples and disappeared. After this weird experience we ended up talking to what I think the vintners’ wife. Though our talk was nice and informative I always had the feeling she talked to us to sell her wine only. When we told her that we are still undecided, she also turned around. Despite our weird experience, I can recommend this winery since they are specialized on ice wine only and offer a large and very good variety of them. My favorite was the Cabernet Sauvignon ice wine. Average price for a 375ml ice wine: CAN $75 Tasting fee for three ice wines: CAN $10

What a gem! Stumbled upon this winery while biking . You must try the ice wine slushies . It sounds silly but its amazing. Its just basically ice wine blended with ice and it tastes like perfection . The ice wine selection here is amazing . All incredibly tasty, and friendly, knowledgeable staff . I loved our visit here and would 100% recommend it and come back here again .

Beautiful marketing, excellent wine and for a hot day, Ice wine slushie is a must. Two formats: $ 6 (about 3 Oz) and $ 10 (about 5 Oz). The service is very warm and what about the decor, wooden with antique but modern style lighting while walking near the vats. Beautiful. (Original) Un de nos coups de coeur dans nos différentes visites de vignobles à Niagara-on-the-Lake. Toutes leurs sélections viticoles sont des produits de récoltes tardives. Beau marketing, excellent vin et pour une journée chaude, la Ice wine slushie est un must. Deux formats: 6$ (environ 3 Oz) et 10$ (environ 5 Oz). Le service est très chaleureux et que dire du décor, en bois avec un éclairage de style antique mais moderne tout en marchant près des cuves. Très beau.

We enjoyed our tour of The Ice House Winery. The ice wine is fantastic- my only complaint is the price. Yes, it is icewine and it costs more to produce, but this winery was much more than any of the other wineries we visited. We ended up buying icewine from another winery with a comparable product at a much cheaper price. They wanted $70 for a 200ml bottle of their Riesling? Also for the tasting 3 half shots for was $12. Other wineries (such as Raife next door) gives 3 tastings for $5 of almost identical quality and taste icewine. This winery was good, but because of the prices the only reason we would return is for the icewine slushy (which was delicious and we didn't find anywhere else). I would give 5 stars for taste, but the cost threw me off a little.

Ellen was lovely and answered all our questions. This vineyard exclusively makes ice wine so they know it really well. The 3 wines we tried were fabulous and the slushy was great even in the middle of February. Definitely recommend a visit here!

Not interesting, disapointed. Matbe because it was Sunday. No owners, only a staff member that was not knowledgeable but just repeated things that she was told to tell customers. We had nicer ice wines in other wineries. We were hopeing for a whole experience and to talk to knowledgeable people about ice wine making, not for someone to repeat what is already printed on the board.

My wife and I like wine tastings but we aren't into the sophisticated, overly detailed tastings that happen at the big estate places. This was perfect. Casual, super friendly staff, and the slushes were the best drinks I had all weekend. Might seem over priced when compared to some of the other $5, or $10 tastings. But your pours here are generous and worth every penny. More of a bar, less of a tasting experience.

This place is super cozy. We tried everything they have to offer and wow super delicious. The only downfall is that the wines are around $60 and the bottle is tiny but it’s probably worth every penny, probably. I was gonna buy a bottle if it was $30 but I’m not that fancy for a $60 mini wine bottle.

I was very excited to learn about Ice Wine-this was the first stop on our self-guided tour. We were very disappointed in the information given (I had to even ask how Ice wine was actually made). Essentially, we were told to choose 2 wines that were poured into shot glasses (also, it was $5 for each tasting not $5 for two as we understood it to be). I had never tasted or really even heard about Ice Wine Prior to visiting the Ice House and was really just looking forward to learning about it all, as the region is well known for it.

Staff are lovely and the wine is tasty. But it's SUPER expensive, which is fine, except the road on the way in is full of potholes, the building needs painting, the sign needs replacing. Worst of all the Canadian flag is faded and falling apart. Do NOT ask for $89 for a small bottle of ice wine and have a dilapidated building to sell it in!

The staff here was absolutely amazing! We went twice while on our vacation. The first for a tasting and the second for an ice wine slushie. Both times the staff made incredible suggestions not only of their own wines that would suit us but of local wineries and attractions as well. Would 110% suggest to anyone. Thanks, Ice House Winery! My son and I went for a family getaway to NOTL. I heard about the Ice House Winery from a friend. Decided to check it out since we were in the area. The Vidal icewine slushie was delicious. It cost $10 each.They had a patio where you can sit and enjoy your beverage. It was lovely sitting among the vineyard. You can go inside the winery house where the icewine is being made, which was pretty neat. You could also purchase and sample the icewine. Definitely time well spent.

We were going for a bike ride along the trail and passed the Ice House Winery with a sign out front saying they have ice wine slashes! So of course we had to make a detour! They were great! My husband and I shared a white ice wine slushy.. it was enough to share and enjoy, but not too much to then continue bike riding again. ????

It's nice to drive up the gravel road with grape vines on the side.This place is cute and quaint. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I believe we had 3 tasters, a slushie and a cocktail for 15$. It wasn't too busy and we were served right away upon getting there.

We went get specifically after seeing as few different recommendations for their tour but apparently missed the good version. We got a "mini-tour" that wasn't much more than an escorted reading of the informational signs around the tasting room. My brother had been there a couple of days before and had a much better experience so I think it was just bad timing. The ice wines were great though and we took a few home.

Staff was very friendly and she did a little tour for us introducing the history of their winery and process of making ice wine. Never tried ice wine before, but after we did the $24 wine tasting package, it made me bought two bottles of ice wine! The slushies was amazing. Fairly priced, we bought two bottles for $100. We saw that they also welcome people come and try a sample of slushies for free. Definitely recommend. Awesome wine and people. Will come back when we visit niagara falls again!

My Icewine experience was definitely one of a kind ! We were greeted by one of the girls as soon as we entered the winery, the staff was very knowledgeable and kind. The winery is small but spacious and I love that you can see the winemaking process. I never thought I liked icewine before but this was a whole different experience. The best I've had in Niagara.

An absolute "Must" if you're doing a wine tour. Even if you don't care for icewine, the winery is intimate and you walk right in to where winemaking happens. If you do enjoy icewine - theirs is the best!

I try to come here every chance I get. Their ice wine is delicious and exclusive - you won't find it in any LCBOs. I've always been a fan of ice wine and believe me, no ice wine tasted to freaking good. They carry 6 different ice wines & 2 ice wine slushies (which, by the way, is to die for)!!! And even though I've bought all 6 bottles at one point or another, my favourite is their 2016 Ice Wine Vidal & 2014 Ice Wine Carbernet Franc. It's not like your typical winery in Niagara - it's a little house, down a stony path, nothing excessive like the other ones, but again, their ice wine alone beats all the wineries out there. Their Ice Wine Trio Plus is $15 and includes 1 slushie (and we got an additional one) + 2 ice wine + 1 ice wine cocktail - and then we also bought 1 bottle of Gewurztraminer + 1 bottle Vidal. Typically, you'd get either the testing for free or you'd get the amount for the tasting taken off from your bottles... but here, nothing. i'm not thrilled about that, but i guess you give some you lose some.

We were in Niagara Falls back in October last year celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and running a international marathon. We stopped here to do a wine tasting. The ice slushies were my favorite. A little pricey but after learning about how they do this and the time of year they do this then you understand why. I cant wait to visit again which is here in a few days. If you're around Niagara Falls on the Canadian side...you must try this!

While I thought the rustic charm of the building was nice, the staff friendly and helpful, the wines themselves were good not great and overpriced ($60/200ml bttle). Went with my girlfriend today because the hotel provided us with a voucher, I was hoping to learn the Ice Wine making process and bring my parents a bottle to make slushies at the cottage. The girl who helped us was very friendly but like another review said, I kind of felt that I'd be bothering her to ask about the machinery in the store, etc. Could easily have purchased a bottle or two but left after taking a measily free slushie shot and under 10 minutes in the store. I wasn't expecting the full Niagara on the Lake wine experience (because it was included with a hotel room) but it still fell short of my expectations. I regretted driving 15 minutes each way for a slushie shot and to read a few signs.

It was a hot day today and I was out for a bike ride with my husband and our two girls when we came across the sign that said ice wine slushies.The ice wine was good. I was sorta disappointed with the slushies for my young girls. They were orange juice blended with ice for 6 dollars each.So I do not recommend ordering a slushy for kids. Very over priced.I thought they would be like a grape flavored slushy . The adult slushies were $10 dollars each which was a reasonable price for ice wine.
