Peninsula Ridge Estates Winery is one incredible place to enjoy a romantic dinner with amazing view of the lake and Niagara Escarpment. Sitting majestically on the hill of the gateway to Niagara with spectacular views of Lake Ontario and the Toronto Skyline. We didn’t have reservations and showed up hoping they would have free tables available on a Saturday evening. Our luck they did and we were seated at the back patio with a beautiful view of Toronto Skyline and their beautiful winery escarpment. During our dinner we had witnessed a Wedding reception that was happening at the same time in Peninsula Ridge Estates in a separate building that was close by. Which made us explore the territory a bit more and we discovered how truly beautiful this place really is and how many different celebrations could be planned here. From engagement parties to small weddings to baby showers and birthdays etc. We really enjoyed how private this location was with a beautiful ornate garden area with a small fountain placed in the middle that had lake Lillys ready to bloom. We had ordered a bottle of Peninsula Ridge Cabernet Merlo which was delicious paired with Grilled Beef Tenderloin and Grilled Beverly Creek Lamb Sirloin. Both were were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. For Deserts we ordered Brown Butter Peacan Cheesecake and Rosewood Honey Cream Brûlée’s. The desert was so incredibly delicious that it was worth the drive for that alone! We will be back for deserts in no time! One of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. We will be back to this location in no time and recommend you pay a visit yourself.

The best food!! If you haven't been here, you are missing out. Fantastic!

What a beautiful estate, this was our 1st stop in 2018 in the Niagara Peninsula. And we made it our 1st stop again, their wine and staff here are immaculate. Got to meet their winemaker as well... which couldn't have been more delighted and impressed.

What a nice place to visit in the fall, sitting outside looking at the fall colors with a glass of their fantastic Pino Grigio and your choice of the cheese, also with red pepper jelly, and crackers on a cheese tray. It’s was perfect! The retail store and restaurant was open concept. Beautiful place to visit. Will go back again!

I love this winery- the prices and quality of wine is amazing, I especially love their cab merlot (I have purchased several cases), however some of the girls working in the tasting room have serious attitude problems and really take away from the enjoyment of this great place. I really hope they develop better customer service skills or they are replaced with people who actually want to be there.

Great food Great wine Super good service

Andrea Boyko

Beautiful setting and old world charm in this old house on the hill. Purchased a couple of bottles. We drank the Shiraz which was less than impressive. We attempted to drink the Malbec and it was like nail polish remover. It was horrible. It didn’t even taste like vinegar which you find in a wine that has turned. It must have been the worst bottle of wine I’ve ever come across. I would surmise that the entire batch was ruined. I would liken it with drinking a bottle of acetone. It was poured straight down the drain. I would not recommend this wine to anyone.

I'm only reviewing the winery part of this place and not the restaurant. The shop was very well kept. The landscaping was done extraordinarily well. Over all it's a beautiful winery. And they have a decent showcase of selections of wine in their shop.

Just had a nice sample of the whites and reds, then moved on to the ice wines. Discovered they had a huge selection of cheeses and enjoyed a cheese plate. Was surprised there very good ice wine was only 29 dollars, paid 80 dollars at Pellers. No need to drive to Niagara try this great winery in Lincoln.

Wonderful wines, beautiful vineyard and Restaurant but on top of all that phenomenal customer service. Ordered from Peninsula Ridge during the pandemic and was greeted by Meg and Emily with professionalism and care. Our order was delivered directly (and safely) to our door within 2 days!! Which is a feat in itself. Small challenge in the order and was expecting delays of a week or so to do a bottle swap, but instead, was impressed once again when the wine that belongs in my glass showed up a day later on my doorstep with a lovely driver making the swap in a safe and heartfelt manner. Thank you to all the great folks working at Peninsula Ridge!

Been here before several times and always find it excellent. Today it was lunch with my wife and a friend and everyone loved it. I had watermelon salad and then pizza which was excellent

Patio dinner was delicious, highly recommend the steak with lobster hollandaise. Wife had the pasta, we really enjoyed the food and scenery. I'm very picky at this price point and it was worth every penny. Great friendly service, we didn't get to sample their wine but next time forsure.

Hayley Cockerton

Was a stunning view and delicious food. The wine was also very complementary to the meal. The grounds are also well kept and a nice after dinner stroll. An immersive experience!

Very accommodating and nice to our dog. They gave us water for him in a bowl and pet him.

Very nice and cozy atmosphere! And awesome selection of cheese for the cheese plate, and red pepper jelly that goes with cheese is super delicious. I’d say they have the best semi dry Riesling in the area!!!!

Restaurant. Soup was amazing and it was a great start as well as the wine. The main course was less desirable. The duck was not seasoned appropriately it any of the other side dishes. The potato's were burnt. For a main meal it was ridiculous. The maple creme brule was fantastic. Atmosphere excellent and staff excellent.

If you want to drink wine then this place is recommended. However, if you want to drink wine and .... eat something then bring some food with you. Cold soup with peaches - interesting taste - 8/10, but everyone gets it differently served - one with red pepper, and others without pepper. !!! You have to remember what you ordered because the waitresses instead of two plates bring one and the other need to ask. Baked tomatoes - 3/10. The cheesecake is a cheesecake - it does not fall from legs - 6/10. BUT .... Chocolate pâté ....... - it's a joke confectioner !!!!!!!. A piece of heavy, hard iced chocolate with a few drops of fruit sauces. Heavy dessert without idea and without finesse - 0/10. Be sure to bring your coffee with you at home. What they serve in the restaurant as coffee is terrible ............... or order esspresso. At the end - if you want to drink Ice Wine - buy a bottle in the vineyard and drink at home. You will be sure what you have opened and what you drink. Now something positive. If you like to eat a hamburger that does not fit in your mouth then I recommend this place. A hamburger and a glass of wine (of course with one hand under the table) - the height of elegance. But ... de-gustibus-non-disputandum-est. Of course, the opinion is not important. It is important WHO it seems. What experience he has. OK - my experience please: Wines - Chablis, Avignon France, wine cellar in Tour D'Argent, Mailberg Austria Hörmann Wien, Lenz Moser. Ice Wine - Mailberg Austria Food - Tour D'Argent, Fouquet, Diplomatic Club Warsaw, l'Auberge du Pont de Collonges Sweets - Hotel Sacher Vienna and restaurants described above. In conclusion - we know this place with my wife for 10 years. That's enough. In the future, we will come for a walk, drink a glass of wine and return home. Jarek Kozera Oakville

Nice atmosphere and good food. Antipasto platter is really good.

I was fortunate to have my wedding at the winery and I can't thank Melanie, Brandi and all the staff enough. They were amazing to deal with which made planning my big day very relaxing. Every little detail was looked after and the day couldn't have gone any better. We are still getting calls from guests telling us how much fun they had "best wedding they've been to in a long time". The food was incredible (we opted for the stand up reception style to allow for more guests) pork sliders, beef sliders, shrimp and chicken sautees yum!! Honestly this was truly the best night ever. You guys really outdid yourselves and my husband and I are forever grateful. Thank you so much

John Ceko

Service was excellent. Very attentive. Wine was great and the one we had with lunch we eventually bought at the wine shop. We had the antipasto platter for 2 and the burgers. Antipasto platter had duck confit, chorizo sausage grilled veggies smoked cheese and more coupled with this awesome sourdough bread. After that the burgers were too much food. Unfortunately they were so good we ate them anyway. If you're going to do a winery tour then this place should be on your list.

Daniel O'Keefe

Fantastic tasting of three different, high quality, and well made wines. Pleasant, friendly, and enthusiastic staff were wonderful to converse with. Yet another lovely visit. Will return soon to enjoy the experience again.

Beautiful view, wines are nice. Staff are nice. Would recommend going for tastings on their patio.

This summer we had the privilege of holding our wedding at Peninsula Ridge Winery in Beamsville. After hunting high and low for an unconventional venue to host a small, intimate wedding we stumbled upon the Peninsula Ridge. Excited by the idyllic setting, the reasonable price, the size and the fact that we could hold both the ceremony and reception in one location, we were eager to see the venue in person. When we met with Melanie, the restaurant manager, she assured us that we were in good hands, and we certainly were. Melanie was so helpful and unbelievably accommodating, putting our minds at ease whenever she could and answering all of our hundreds of questions. The entire event was seamless, from the ceremony to the photo shoot to the reception; Brandy and the rest of the staff were on point (all of our guests and even other vendors were commenting on the excellent service). The food was absolutely outstanding –as far from typical banquet hall wedding fair as it could be, it was both beautifully presented and delicious. The winery grounds are just spectacular and served as the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. We could not have asked for a better place to hold such an important event and would undoubtedly recommend Peninsula Ridge to anyone! We can’t wait to go back and celebrate our anniversary there with a delicious meal.

My wife and I arrived at the restaurant at 12:30PM Sunday June 28, 2015 for brunch. As we entered we where greeted by the hostess present. She ask if we had reservation which we did not have so she told us that they where all book up and no table available right now. But she said there would be one available at 1:00 PM so we decided to book a table for that time slot. The hostess encourage us to visit there on site store in the mean time while we where waiting which we decided against, it was lunch that was on our mind and not shopping but she kept pushing to see the store but we decide to spend the time of site and come back for our lunch. We arrive at our appointed time and where seated by a friendly server at a table for two, what I did notice though that many of the table that had been unoccupied when we first arrive where still empty which caused me to wonder whether this whole thing of having no seating at the beginning was just a ploy to get us to go to there store and spend a ton of money there. We received the menu and the server explained to us the daily special with choice of 2 types of soup and main course. We choose the lobster bisque and the steak for main. My wife had a glass of Pinot Noir reserve which was excellent and I had the house beer. The soup arrived soon but was luke warm, I prefer my soup hot but that might be just a matter of preference, in regards to taste it was bland and I don’t know where the lobster came in but I could not taste it. To put a bit of zest in this soup I looked for salt and pepper which none of the tables had so had to ask the waitress and she brought a small Pepper mill that did not produce much even after turning and turning and the salt shaker was even smaller but at least it did work. There came no bread with the soup so had to ask for it which was brought in a basket 4 small slices with a bit of butter that look lost in the dish it was served. The steaks arrived with two eggs on top and asparagus (3) and a few pieces of zucchini and some soggy potatoes totally without flavor. The steak was good and grilled as we had ordered with a good flavor. To finish of this meal we ordered coffee which had little flavor which was very thinly brewed, maybe we are just to spoiled by the robust flavor of Tim Hortons coffee but at the priced charged I expected better. My wife and I ordered two desserts Profiterole au Chocolate and Choc Pot Du Crème which where mostly with little flavor the éclair had no Boston cream in it and was the size of my little finger and really being used to some European tortes totally unacceptable for the prices charged. Finally our bill arrived which came to $ 122.94 and this was for brunch for two people with one glass of wine and beer each. Would I recommend this establishment a sincere No. Wolfgang Paul and Sylvia P.

We had a flawless wedding ceremony on this spectacular property followed by dinner for 52 people in the Coach House on Saturday July 20th. Special thanks to Mel and Anna for making this a memorable experience.

We went here with high hopes after reading the great reviews. The place is beautiful. Started our dinner with appetizers. Burrata was wonderful, as were the mussels. Dinner was Braised short rib risotto. Not at all what we expected. There were no short ribs, just slivers of beef here and there. We basically had a plate of rice. The server was wonderful and kept insisting that we order other entrees but we did not . Figured I would order dessert. Ordered cheesecake and a creme brulee. Creme brulee was wonderful, warm and crispy on top and creamy on inside. Cheesecake was frozen in center...ice crystal frozen. Server was wonderful, totally embarrassed at our disastrous dinner. She did comp our meals and kept apologizing. We made the best of the evening but don't think we will return for a second try.

The flight is free if you buy a bottle. The server was really helpful and didn't mind explaining the basics. The wine was fantastic and we ordered a great cheese platter with our flight. We were also able to enjoy the wine and platter outside on the balcony with a great view. This was our favorite of the five vineyards we visited that day.

I have been a customer for over 15 years. This is usually my first stop in my wine route and have not been dissatisfied yet. Came by again with my 2 friends, one of which was celebrating her 60 year. The service at the wine tasting bar is excellent with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Fortunately we caught them at a non-busy timeslot and were able to be educated with their wide range of wine which led to some purchases. I have also cellared some wine as well. A must-stop winery on your Niagara tasting route!!!

Peninsula Ridge has been a favourite Canadian winery of mine since I first tried their 2004 Cabernet. My girlfriend and I recently visited the vineyard and tried samples of the recent offerings and a fantastic meal at the restaurant and loved it. Wouldn't decide whether the salmon or the burger was better but the wine was definitely 5-star. Highest recommendations. :)

Alvin Villanueva

I visited this winery a little more than a month ago and had forgotten to post a review. Thankfully I took notes during my visit. From what I have noted, the grounds and vineyards are very scenic, centered around a century old house on the top of a hill and the Niagara escarpment looming behind the said house. The food was delicious, portioned nicely and matched well with the wine that was chosen for myself and my friends. The service was really good - our waitress was great and was very helpful providing answers to our many questions. The winery has taken ample precautions to counter COVID. Hand sanitizer is available, all staff wear masks even when outside, and I believe some staff were wearing gloves as well. I have seen the staff, on two different occasions, spend at least 5 minutes to thoroughly clean and sanitize a table after guests have completed their meal and left - well done! Overall, I had a great time at this winery and would recommend this to my friends and family as a place to check out.

In faireness, the food and service was excellent, however.... I ordered the appetizer platter for two to share with my wife. My souls reason being for the duck confeit listed with it. When it arrived I could see no duck and asked my server. She replied, "oh yes we've ran out that's why you have summer sausage instead". I told her I only ordered it for the duck. She gave me an awkward look and walked off... that was the last of it. Not really what you expect at an upmarket restaurant. Especially if they think 5 thin slices of a mediocre sausage equates to delicious duck confeit. I emailed the restaurant later as I didn't want to ruin our dinner or cause a fuss with our guests there. I have heard nothing back. Looks like we will be heading to the lake house or the inn on the twenty in the future!

Steve Gray

After tasting some wonderful wine we sat on the deck enjoying a beautiful view of the lake with the Toronto skyline in the distance enjoying a glass if wine and a lovely cheese tray. Definitely worth stopping in.

I can't thank you all enough... Melanie, Brandy and everyone who assisted us on our special day at the Ridge. You took the time to get to know us, assisted with my many questions and took care of us above and beyond. After four months of not dining out we took advantage of the relatively new ability to dine al fresco. And rather than sit on a sidewalk in Toronto we went on a small road trip to this wonderful setting! We've been several times in the past and this time did not disappoint. The charcuterie board, and the fish special (today was delicious Halibut), a Creme Brule were all fantastic under the shade of the English Walnut tree. Anna, our server was delightful and we hope to go back again in the near future.

Well I just wrote a long review now it's gone. Thanks Google. Dined here Feb 13 2020 got great service from the moment we walked in. Sat in an intimate setting up at the front. Reservation for 2. Kind of unique. Wish that light wasn't so bright outside looking out though... But that doesn't affect our review. One best the Burgers of my life and surf and turf to die for. Executive Chef Taylor Dow and his crew thank-you

Another delicious and amazing meal at Peninsula Ridge! My fiancé and I come here often because for a romantic date night you can not find a more gorgeous setting w stellar service and food that is on point every single time! The new chef has just hit it out of the park… Burrata w strawberries was a perfect pairing… The tenderloin w truffles shaved on top was decadent and my fiancé had the lamb and cleaned his plate. Wine was really great too, Chardonnay was buttery and the red was jammy and delicious… can’t wait to go back, time your dinner to watch the sunset over the vineyard and escarpment… another perfect date night at Pen Ridge
