I think I'm at 4 stars for this place, but I'm bumping it up to 5 because even though we didn't get to see any, it sounds like they have really cool events and concerts here. The winery itself is beautiful, and while none of their wines stood out to me as over-the-top amazing, I did enjoy the ones I tasted. They weren't bad by any stretch of the imagination - they were flavorful and enjoyable. That being said, I just don't think any of the wines I tasted would make it on my all-time favorites list. Highly recommend you try the icewine, especially if you like sweet flavor profiles. You can't come to Niagara-on-the-Lake and not try at least some icewine.

Beautiful winery that hosts an excellent tour with a wide variety of samples. We went as part of the Grape Escapes van tour (this was not a stop on their bike tour) and it was a great way to kick off the afternoon. Highly recommend going with an organized tour group or designated driver, as there will definitely be enough samples to get you buzzed! There are a good number of samples that come with the standard tour and more options can be sampled in the store. We made quite a few purchases, so we were not charged for all the additional samples — not sure if this is the norm though!

Got free tour tickets at the hotel. Even though they were free, the staff treated us sooo great. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and answered all my questions. Collin our tour guide was really great on the tour and very knowledgeable. This winery put my husband and I in awe. Ice wine was least expensive here at $19.99 a bottle. Can't wait to come back next time im in canada.

We were there for the ice wine festival. The wine was great, the food pairing okay (needed salt). But it smelled really weird and gross and it was crazy hot and did not make it an enjoyable time. We left very quickly.

Definitely worth going to! The estate is absolutely gorgeous and there’s plenary of spots to take pictures. The grounds spacious and I can see that when they hold concerts, it would be some great scenery. The wine is delicious and very tasty. They’re also reasonably priced and the location takes Canadian and American Currency. Plenty of parking and handicap accessible. You won’t be disappointed!

It’s one of the most popular places to visit based on reviews and when you go there you see why-its splendid to view and the tour is amazing and you really get to learn a lot about wine making and wine drinking. Our time here was so lovely. Even though it was a super windy day which was expectant of rain, we got lucky and had mild weather. We did the wine tasting outdoors which was perfect because we had our baby with us, and Adriana who helped us out, was PHENOMENAL! She truly made our experience what it was. She could see that my son was fussy, so she quickly came by and brought him a cute little plastic cup to play with. She was so aware of what was going on with us and you could tell that she truly cared. She was so knowledgeable with the wines and even the charcuterie we ordered because one of the cheeses were super yummy! She went above and beyond and we would easily make the trip back to be taken care of by her again! Kevin in the wine shop was another amazing individual. I had so much fun chatting with him and having him help us find other great wines (beyond the ones we chose from our tasting) to bring back. This winery truly knows how to hire amazing and caring people! We cannot wait to be back!!!

Jackson-Triggs is a place every wine connoisseur should visit. If you aren’t a wine connoisseur then all the more reason to book a tour and enjoy an evening of fine food and wine. The facility is modern, clean and suave. The kitchen offers excellent food to go with any wine they have. The basement setup/cellar is something straight out of a movie. Every time I get the chance I always try to get the cellar wine and dine, and it is always a superb experience. The tour is also pretty interesting. Make a date of it and plan the dinner when a band is performing. I highly recommend this to anyone and would return in an instant if I didn’t live so far away.

My first wine tasting in Canada. All the wine is amazing !! Definitely must try their ice wine! Receptionist is 10 out of 10. Just made a reservation on the day and she greet us at the front door and lead the way to the wine tasting area! This could be a 5 star experience how ever it took almost 15 mins for the staff to take our order, we need to ask the hostess couple times for that. But the view of the winery itself is breathtaking and there’s also live music!

Want to give a shoutout to customer service and 5 stars for how they paid attention and resolved an issue. I purchased a Box of wine from our local NB Liquor store which ended up being stale dated. (Look for the BBD date on the bottom of the box) The wine had gone bad. Jackson Triggs customer support took the case and addressed it. Thank you very much.

Amazing place. Went with my friends on a quick desicion to check Niagara falls on Victoria day. We did the tour and the tasting and was pretty nice. Our tour guide was an amazing young lady (I think she was training that day) if I'm no wrong her name was Ashley or Emely. She was very kind to answer all our questions as best as she could. It is stunning. The architecture is beautiful and clean. Sitting out on the restaurant, having a nice glass of wine and seeing the miles and miles of grapes is great, especially with the one you love. It is not too busy during the week but not sure about the weekend. I would assume it is chaotic and busy with the tourists. All and all a great place to go and relax.

I attended a concert in the vineyard. The concert was awesome, the venue and atmosphere can't be beat. I have attended 5 concerts over the year's at Jackson Triggs. This year was the worst experience. I will start off with the extra row of seating that you couldn't see because of the people in front of you. The seats weren't offset and there was only one row like this almost like someone wanted to sell a few extra tickets and hoped no one would complain. Next the some of the server's must have been having a bad night, one girl even rolled her eyes as I asked for token's (she was selling them I'm not sure what the issue was). In fairness a lot of the staff was very helpful and extremely friendly but a few bad apples spoil the bunch sometimes. The next was the cost of a 4oz glass of medium quality (black label) was $7.50 and there was no other option. I think this is a little excessive as they have already collected money from you for your tickets, they make money on the wine sold at retail cost and its there event the advertisement of their wine's should allow for a smaller charge. I was disappointed, I will attend another concert but I will be careful of the seats I choose and I will probably enjoy my wine at a different winery before the event.

Although I wasn't too fond of the samples I tried, the ambiance and seating was beautiful. The weather was great for a seat on the patio on looking the budding grape vines. Make sure you book a reservation in advance as they are working with reduced spacing due to covid regulations. Great staff and good company guarantees a fun time!

I found their selection of bottle sizes a little disappointing, but enjoyed the more reasonable prices. My cousin and I enjoyed their Gerwurztraminer Icewine the best of any Icewines in the region! Really need to come back in the summer to enjoy the grounds more- the entire facility and grounds were so beautiful!

My wife and I are big fans of Jackson-Triggs wine. After a tasting the day before, we opted for a 45 minute tour of the facility - a beautiful building in great surroundings, with a very knowledgable guide - combined with tasting some great wines. Well worth the $5 price tag for the tour and with that you get a $5 discount in the boutique store.

The winery does not focus on running a restaurant. It's good. It also has a medium-sized restaurant for visitors to rest. It's very quiet. The shop is not big, but every bottle is classic. We bought two bottles of sparkling wine. The wineyard is huge and endless. There is a bicycle rental station there.

Wine tasting wasn't anything to write home about, however they have a large patio and a few tables set up in the vineyard. They sell wine by the glass, so you can take a glass out with you and just sit, sip and relax.

The building was designed to resemble a barn, with a barn-sloped roof, an herb garden and flowers out the back, and sliding doors at each entrance for a good cross breeze. They show you the grapes, the process, give samples, all in a fabulous architecture. The wine is amazing and it's all worth the money!

My partner and I attended the winery for a tour and tasting. We arrived 10minutes prior to a tour beginning, and as the tour was already full the front desk attendant, Tamara, was sympathetic to us having to wait another hour for the next tour and gave use a free wine tasting coupon. Sure enough, we were able to make the wine tour that started 10 minutes later and Tamara gave us a free tour coupon as another couple recently left this coupon. Our tour guide was Desmond and he was amazing! Very knowledge and interactive. Would highly recommend visiting this winery as the staff really try to make everyone's experience worth while.

Very consistent 'corporate' product with good service and a wide variety of wines for every palate. The property is nice, clean lines, with some intimate areas for dining. Their membership events pre-covid were outstanding and definitely a 'value-add' to the memberships but during current climate, the membership gets you nothing more than wines and the typical discount on tastings. Concert series when in operation is a must see and a great experience. Stop by for their tastings as you wont be disappointed.

An unforgettable experience! The tourist information center in the city suggested we go there because of visit each hour (available in french too!). The vineyard, the building, the terrace, the tasting bar : everything is beautifull. The staff was very helpfull and gentle. You can take your time to taste every wine in sell at the tasting bar (ice wine too) and there's a lot of very good wine for a region with a Canadian climat. We lunch outside at the restaurant in front of the vineyard with a very good snack and wine, of course (see picture)! I do not know what to say bad about this place... everything was perfect! Maybe the menu at restaurant was a little short, but it's a winery!

Was suggested to join the wine club last year to get early information on their concert series. Was sold 4 wine club orders last year only to be told that I missed the ticket sales because “I had unsubscribe for emails last JULY. That is a crock! When I emailed Candis upset that all the tickets were sold out and I only found out about the sale from a friend, I received nothing, not even some sort of apology. So I cancelled the wine club. Guess their making too much money to care that I quit the club. All I received was a confirmation that I cancelled. No professional handling of my problem. Lost me as a JACKSON Triggs customer!

We visited here on a lovely November weekend. With covid going on we were not sure what to expect. But we were pleased to see all the precautions Jackson Triggs did to ensure the safety of all their guests, and workers. We had the $40 Pre Fixe course, and let me tell you... you will not be disappointed with the portions that they give you. I was expecting to get half portions of the meals, but they were all full sized meals. I had the Thai coconut Mussels, truffle Mac & cheese, and an early grey cheese cake. All tasted delicious! Also went with wine parings for each dish, and that was amazing as our server recommended the perfect glasses to be paired with each dish. Cannot wait to come back during the summer to enjoy the vineyard. Thank you for the amazing experience!

To me, it’s the worst winery I ever visited so far in Canada. The young lady who assisted us was completely unprepared and, at the third questions she was not able to respond, her colleague responded to us in a very unprofessional manner. Last but not least, their sparkling wines (I tasted all of them) have a dominance of bitterness and not balanced. I not recommend to visit them.

Really enjoyed the wines! Came on Thursday 19th of November at lunchtime. We found the price 4 wines for $15 was reasonable and we enjoyed the different wines served. We were disappointed to hear that the menu 4 wines paired with food for $50 was not available on weekend but my friend's research might be at fault here. We ordered the cheese and cold meat platter to compensate. I regret to tell you that we had a good laugh about the platter. There was more biscottes than anything on this platter, we were expecting twice the size for $28; one of the 3 different kind of Walmart cold meat was stale. The cheeses were interesting, could you please let us know what they were? Next time let your clients know when you serve it ;) Please find some better cold meat, there are some great local products, same for the biscottes, we would expect homemade baked bread! Again, really enjoyed the wines. Will definetly drink again.

Not the biggest fan if their wine but the ones they offer here are far better than the ones found at the LCBO. We went here for lunch and the food was mediocre. I had the pulled pork tacos and they were a little bland, needed salt. Plus when you get to the third one they start breaking apart from being too soggy. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the vineyard. The washrooms are very clean and well stocked.

The architecture to this winery is very modern and different from your other wineries. Open through tunnel that allows you to go from the front of the winery to the back where the vineyard sits. In the front, you can also sample the different types of grapes that go in their wine. They're all really delicious!

Awesome experience at Jackson-Triggs winery! We went to the celebration house and got to taste 5 different sparkling wines, they all tasted amazing! Plus our host Kate was so great and entertaining! She kept checking up on us and was very knowledgeable about their wine selection! She answered all our questions and even suggested the best wines for us! Our charcuterie board tasted delicious and the whole experience was very memorable! I would give the winery a 12/10 for being so great! Definitely going back there again in the future :)

Our not so VIP experience at Jackson-Triggs I won a gift certificate to Jackson Triggs which was good for 4 people to be taken on a private tour, wine tasting and enjoy a cheese platter upstairs in the estate lounge overlooking the vineyard. It sounded lovely and both my husband and our two friends who we took along (recently engaged) were looking forward to a weekend out of Toronto. We planned our weekend accordingly, rented a BNB and arrived at Jackson Triggs on time at 4:30pm to begin our tour. Upon our arrival a grumpy, disinterested lady walked up to us and without introducing herself or greeting us, tells us we are 30 minutes late for our tour. I did not choose the time of the tour I was only given 2 options, 1 of which was 4:30pm on Saturday. With a look of irritation the tour guide reiterated “since you are 30 minutes late you will now only have a 15 minute tour and we will not be taking you to see the wine cellar because the rooms are closed off for a private party tonight”. She explained all the amazing parts of the vineyard we would be missing today since we were “late” and her negative attitude and hasty tone made us feel like we were intruding on this imminent party. After the short, pointless 15 minute walk around a few barrels of wine, we were brought to the busy sitting area attached to the gift shop and given a cheese plate. When we asked (yes we had to ask) what type of cheese it was the waitress responds, “I don’t know, cheese is cheese!” And walked away. When I asked to speak to the manager to confirm that this was the "estate lounge" she told us the manager is too busy setting up for the event and the estate lounge was closed this evening. The staff at Jackson Triggs on this occasion were horribly ungracious, offensive, rude and pompous. We felt unwanted, unappreciated, and felt as though we were a burden. Even when I expressed my disappointment and explained that we planned our weekend around this experience our tour guides response was "You really planned your ENTIRE weekend over a 45 minute tour??” No one ever did apologize for the ‘miscommunication’ and lack of a VIP experience. We will never return to Jackson Triggs winery. There are so many lovely wineries in Niagara on the lake, ones that are family owned, with lots of personality and spunk. With staff who are friendly, helpful, welcoming and who genuinely appreciate your presence. Please take a minute to re consider visiting such a large winery like Jackson Triggs that have no interest in pleasing their customers and probably couldn’t care less if you actually came. Unless you like your wine with a side of pretentious, it’s not worth it.

On Line Delivery - So my wife wanted to surprise me for my 50th Birthday by ordering an entire box of wine. My birthday is May 28th, so she ordered online from JT and paid extra for expedited delivery to arrive before my birthday. My birthday came and went. No wine. She called them, and they told her they were out of one of the wines, so they didn't ship it until they had it. No email notification, no phone call. Fast forward to June 5th. We got the box of wine on our front porch. No doorbell ring, no knock at the door, (everything captured on Ring Doorbell). They left the box of wine at the foot of the step to the porch. Not even beside the door. I realize you hire someone to deliver this but have a talk with the delivery company that represents you, and email your customers if you can't delivery on time. Most of these wines could have been purchased at the LCBO. Probably won't buy another bottle of their wine anytime in the next few years. Have supported JT for 25 years, attending concerts, visits to the winery and buying from their selection. Terrible service. Happy Birthday Dan :-(

They have quality performers here on their open air stage during the summers. A relatively small venue with a close up view for all. They have a wide variety of reds and white wines available. Wines are subjective as far as taste is concerned, I haven't found one yet that I would say wasn't worth buying. If you like red wine try Epoca, worth the little extra.

This is a great winery to visit, especially during COVID because they still have their patio open. It was a warm day so we enjoyed our tasting outside with a nice view of the vineyards. Wine was excellent and we ended up purchasing a few bottles. Would definitely recommend even when it gets a bit colder because they have fire pits with large muskoka chairs that you can relax in!

This was our second visit here, and the second time leaving disappointed. We were pretty much ignored at the bar, and then finally treated to a very lack luster tasting, which included absolutely no information about the wine. It was like putting in an order at a fast food restaurant, and having the bored teenager taking care of you. Nothing we tried wowed us. This was the only winery we visited (out of 20), that we left without purchasing any wine. The building is beautiful, but there are so many other places in NOTL to get a truly delightful experience, that I do not think I will return here.

Have been to and enjoyed their wine for some time, until recently I had a box of wine that contained either sand or glass particles in the bag, i did not find this out until the last glass unfortunately when a load of particulate came out, its also got a brownish tinge to it I contacted them via their website received an email asking for pictures and all info regarding And informing me that wine sometimes settles and some residue is sometimes found , i guess disregarding entirely that i specified that it was a glass type substance, i sent pictures and awaited a reply as I thought they would be concerned especially as i stated glass or sand in the bag , no reply , sent another email, no reply, contacted via website again no reply, sent another email finally got a reply asking for pictures again as they had only received one, even though I have sent all they required Then i got a call from i guess a rep , not very pleasant all i received was they will send a prepaid envelope for me to send the product back and upon receipt they would refund my purchase Not a we’re sorry about this or any type of ownership on a product that could be harmful Not happy with any part of dealing with this matter Very unprofessional practices

Visited today (October 3, 2020)My reservation was for 5 people and there were two ladies behind the desk when we walked in no one else there, we weren’t greeted or even acknowledged while we stood there for a few minutes, no one helping us... so we walked through to the back and waited again no one helping us or acknowledging us, we were standing around waiting kind of looking lost.... finally I walked back to the concierge desk and I brought to there attention that I was there for our wine tasting reservation. We were finally seated they took our order and never saw anyone again!! This was by far the coldest welcoming and worst tasting experience! Zero customer service!!!! It takes a few seconds to look up from the concierge desk to say “hey welcome to Jackson Triggs we will be with you in a moment” rather than totally ignore people coming in the door waiting to check in!!!!

Visited the vineyard today, August 6th 2018 around 1PM. My boyfriend bought three bottles of wine, and then he bought us each a glass and we sat on the patio, where another couple was seated. An employee came outside about 10 minutes after and asked my boyfriend and I if we had opened our wine that we had bought and poured ourself a glass? Even the other couple was outraged at that offensive question. Then, another employee came out and asked the other couple if they wanted more wine and not us, when I was willing to buy us more. Sad. We left and went to another vineyard, no one appreciates discrimination.

Jackson Triggs is a lovely, safe, and welcoming environment! Cheryl was unreal, such a sweet person with great wine recommendations. A large group of us did the charcuterie & woodworking workshop with Sarah/Randy and would highly recommend. Lastly, our waiter Nam was the best!

We were touring the wineries for our anniversary and despite them being very busy two Saturdays ago, Jennifer made sure to find us a table. She is courteous and puts the customer first every time. Furthermore, Adriana was very kind and helpful in her description of the wines and showed hospitality that went above and beyond what is required. She was friendly, attentive and made the whole experience special. A huge thank you to both of you! You are what make people come back again and again!

I went on the tour with my husband, we had been on a different winery tour earlier in the day which was, very nice, so we assumed this your would be something similar, very wrong. From the start we were told that because we had complimentary passes (which came with out hotel package) that we did not get lanyards, which made us feel very singled out, especially when just a few minutes later our tour guide asked us why we didn't have lanyards and we had to explain. Our tour guide was very difficult to understand and didn't appear to have any interest in her work. I asked her a question about what was done with the steams and she very rudely said that she had already covered that , though I couldn't hear her because there was a machine running while she was talking. We asked her several questions, she didn't know the answer to any of them, like how often is she wine checked when aging in the barrels, her response was "I'm not too sure" then during one of our tasting I finished my wine quite quickly as it was a very small amount and I really wanted to leave at this point and she made a comment about me "chugging" my wine. I found the whole tour and environment very cold and corporate. Would not return.

The vineyards sits on ample acreage and boasts a variety of grapes that deliver quality series of wine. Enjoy a glass and watch the sunset from their patio.

My wife and I were there about 4 weeks ago and were very excited to go to one of the Well known wineries. Upon our entrance there was a very nice vibe. We later went to taste some of the wines and met a lady that obviously didn't want to be there. She asked us what we would like to try and we asked her about her recommendations and just wanted to have a causal conversation with her. She goes on to flail with her arm towards the board and says "They're all the same". We asked her opinion about another wine and continued to say "They're all the same". She made us feel really uncomfortable. 2 seconds later she asks, "Do you want a bottle?" WORST Tasting experience of our lives. We were so turned off by her that we didn't want to talk to a manager. We just wanted to get out of there. The only reason my rating isnt worse than poor is because the venue was beautiful. My wife and I went to LCBO the other day and saw a Jackson-Triggs bottle and started laughing. Im sorry that our opinion of Jackson-Triggs will always be associated with this HORRIBLE experience. Im sure its wonderful wine, but we will NOT purchase another bottle again. Reading some of these negative reviews seems like the lady behind the tasting counter is a common issue. I hope she's not a family member of the winery and they consider addressing this issue, otherwise looks like there's gonna be less Jackson Triggs drinkers after sampling with her.

Service was awful, 10 minute wait for walkin when there was over 20 tables empty and available. Another 20 minutes before we got to order a flight and another 20 minutes to get the wine. 50 minutes before we got our wine. Server told us it was worth the wait because the wines were good.

Not sure if we came in at the shift change or what. We were told no more flights.. and then saw others being served flights. Told that there was counter order only... and then saw others with table service. Value for food served was not there. Unfortunate as we’re big supporters of local wineries. Hopefully the Jackson team will see this and just have a look at consistency.

Ladies, Be warned! Went with two friends to enjoy a concert in the outdoor amphitheatre last night. My friend was refused service as apparently she was seen "stumbling while walking away from the smoking area". We were only in the smoking area once, and, as it is on the grass, it is bumpy and therefore slightly difficult to walk on. There were other grassy and uneven areas at this winery as well. So ladies, be warned that if you choose to wear high heels and have to walk on any grass here, you will likely get accused of being drunk and you will be refused service! Staff in the wine tent were extremely rude and condescending. They also took our money for 3 glasses of wine without saying a word and then refused my friend without returning the amount for her glass !!! Will NOT be returning. Wine is not as good as others in the area and overpriced anyway.

Their cab franc ice wine is ridiculously delicious ???????? Gorgeous estate with friendly and informative staff. $10 for 4 tastings - 3 table wines + 1 ice wine. They have a great selection to choose from and I find their special reserves to be a lot better than some of the other wineries in the area.

Came here as part of a self guided bike tour. The Ice Wines seemed to be the best in the area for the right prices. As far as table wines nothing stood out as overly “unique” compared to others in the area. Overall a great experience with friendly and knowledgeable staff!

On Sunday February 26th 2020, I was looking for something fun to take my visiting friend to do. We went to Jackson-Triggs winery after visiting a couple of others. We were blown away by the quality of the wine. The servers at the tasting bar are knowledgeable and friendly, not pretentious at all. Because I live nearby, and because of the wonderful experience we had with our server, Michelle Sirio, I decided to join. I’ve been living in the area 14 years and never joined. I do not regret it at all. It’s wonderful! I joined the Great Escapes & promptly went to Inniskillin, where we enjoyed another tasting, with Bradley hosting us - his recommendations are impeccable. Today, February 1 2020, my husband & mother-in-law and I did the same rounds, only with food pairing. At Inniskillin, Derek served us, and was charming & entertaining, but also very knowledgeable. I’d recommend the P3, the Baco Noir and the Gold Vidal Ice wine. Then off to Jackson-Triggs to be spoiled again by Savanna, the Hospitality Sales Manager, and Jessica, the chef (the BEST chicken molé we’ve had!!). The Bourbon Barrel Merlot at Jackson-Triggs is well worth the price, but their Merlot is unbeatable, never mind how amazing the Cab Franc Ice Wine is! I can’t wait for the open air concert season to begin!

This winery was specifically built for tours, so that you can visit all production facilities and the wine cellar. That’s definitely a bonus. However, all that doesn’t help if your tour guide is super unmotivated and barely knowledgable about the wines and the process. The 45 minutes during this tour could’ve been so much better with a proper tour guide.
