Wine wasn't great.

We came on 18th July 2021 by way of reservation. We were a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children - and seated promptly by the hostess. Our server, Alyssa, was polite and friendly, and took our order in a timely fashion. We ordered a margarita pizza for the kids and the antipasti charcuterie board for my wife and I, and I also had a glass of the Chardonnay. The wine was a perfect compliment to the antipasti board... sweet and crisp. The meats, cheeses, and vegetables were fresh and delicious! My kids who are picky eaters also enjoyed the pizza, so that says something! My wife also reminded the waitress that it was my birthday and she gave me a complimentary dessert - tiramisu. The tiramisu was one of the best tiramisus I've tasted - Brava! The setting and experience reminded us of Niagara on the Lake, but with a shorter drive and in an easier location to get to. Overall, this was a great experience and I would highly recommend Gallucci Winery. See you again soon! Ciao!

Had the pleasure going for lunch here today with a great friend and have to say from the moment you get here, You feel like you’re back in Toscany. The environment is gorgeous, the very warm reception by Antonio and all he staff. And the food? Stupendous!!! As authentic as it gets! It’s like you’re at a restaurant in Italy! Not to mention the homemade wine, very delicate and goes very smoothly with the delicious food! ???? Highly recommended! Thank you Antonio for the amazing experience! Will not only be back but also recommend you to everyone I know! Grazie Di cuore Antonio!!! 10/10!!! ????????????

I’ve been to Gallucci’s winery a few times now. Every time I’ve gone Antonio always remembers me and greets me with a warm welcome. The winery is picturesque. The wines are exquisite and together with the welcoming people and atmosphere are what keeps me coming back. With every visit I bring home a new wine favourite. I can’t wait for the chance to experience dining by the vineyard on a hot summers afternoon next year. Gallucci’s winery is a hidden gem in Stouffville: Country close to the city. Visit Gallucci’s winery for an enchanting experience full of smiles, laughter, and very good wines.

Cute little winery. Glad I stopped by. As the real estate booms this place will be worth a lot and do very well locally!

Visited Galucci Winery Aug 8th 2020 around 4:00pm. Asked employees to purchase a tasting and to purchase a bottle of wine and they said “they don’t know if they can do that” and they walked away and did not speak to us again

My sweetheart best bro Martin surprise today with the discovery of an amazing gem! As an Italian Masters Chef was really impressed with the awesome traditional southern Italian cuisine, the Arancini were cooked to perfection and the Neapolitan Pizza out of this world! Bring me so many childhood memories! Thanks to “little Mama” for a great service! Grazie Anthony!

My experience at Gallucci Winery was wonderful. The staff were very polite and my tasting with Antonio before I sat for lunch was amazing. We had such a great experience at Gallucci winery. Antonio and all of his staff were so pleasant and welcoming, they were very helpful in accommodating our large party of 19. The food was spectacular, you can really taste the freshness and authenticity of the cuisine. I have already booked another visit with my family to go back!

Decided to take a drive to this small winery for a tasting. Didn't know they offered lunch service on their patio. Although, reservations are recommended, they seated us. The food and service was top notch! The wine was excellent as well. Highly recommended! We will return with friends.

A must visit!.....and while you're there stay awhile!! You won't regret it. From the intimate wine tasting entrance with a picturesque view of the vineyard, to the charismatic host Antonio, the experience at Gallucci can't be beat. The service and atmosphere is welcoming while the selection of wines kept our group enjoying our time far past our initial tasting. We visit Gallucci often and enjoy it everytime :)

Love this little hidden gem. The food is absolutely fantastic and the staff are amazing. It’s such a treat to enjoy a lazy summer afternoon here, sipping on wine and enjoying great food.

Situated just 30 minutes north of downtown Toronto, you will find an unlikely gem of a winery located in Stouffville Ontario. A family owned and run business. Gallucci Winery offers a variety of wines for every wine lovers palate. Full bodied reds, easy drinking whites and exceptional ice wine.

Lindsey Galvin

Antonio was very knowledgeable and very fun to talk to through the tasting! We really liked the wine and left with 5 bottles!

Great Italian food. Very generous portions. Light table wine. Affordable. They also sell free range localky grown organic chicken. Minutes away from Richmond Hill or Aurora city centers.

An elegant outdoor experience coupled with good Italian food. Price is a little high but well worth it for the ambiance. Antipasto is really great here.

Love the Gallucci patio. Large and spacious surrounded by their vineyard. You feel like youre transported to a different place. Food was delicious. Service was friendly. The cutlery had water stains due to the local water.

Terrible service and a very limited menu. We ordered the Primavera pizza and Margherita - the food was not served at the same time and both pizzas were undercooked and oily. They were really disorganized and unfriendly. Very disappointing.

Suzette Seveny

Outstanding food and wine! Because it's so busy, service can be a bit slow. This is a place to relax and enjoy, not to dine and dash. The view of the vineyard from the patio can make you feel you're in Italy!

Wow! I’m so excited this place is in Stouffville! Beautiful unoaked Chardonnay and a top quality Vidal. The food! I over ate because I just couldn’t stop myself. Very generous portions so be prepared to consume. Homemade pasta and sauce, fresh wood oven pizza and the best antipasti board I’ve had outside of Italy. Thank you Antonio for the beautiful experience. I will be back... with a reservation next time!

A group of my friend's and I came to this restaurant wanting to experience something new, get a feel for a new atmosphere and to celebrate my friend's birthday! Everything was great, except for the extremely POOR service we received from our waitress. Not only did she seem unwelcoming, she was very impatient, rude, disrespectful and to be honest I suspect it was because of the colour of our skin. Overall my friends and I felt that we were in a hostile environment and felt very uncomfortable. At one point she was very persistent about escorting us to the outside patio (in the cold) when we were not done ordering our food and did not attend to us once. Why was it that our group was the only group that got singled out and all the other guests were able to comfortably enjoy their food inside. We were very confused and to be honest it was a little embarrassing. I don't know if I would recommend this particular winery to my friends because all of them are POC.

Kirk Lyn

Great wine, great staff, great experience! Thank you Antonio!

The property is gorgeous with a veranda and pond to the right, vineyard at the back, and Roman villa-esque shop in the middle. Our tasting experience was less stellar, with a very distracted Antonio who didn't provide many details on the wines. There are other wineries nearby that provide a superior experience.

Amazing food, amazing staff! Had a nice chat with Antonio before our meal while we tasted different wines. Chose a nice wine for our lunch and were blown away by the quality of the food and the prices; 10 glasses of wine, 4 meals, 2 apps - $150. Had an amazing time sitting on the patio. Will definitely make this a regular spot to visit.

Located in the heart of Stouffville the Gallucci Family winery is a must visit. Many thanks to Antonio and his staff for making our family feel at home while hosting a very special lady’s 80th birthday this past Sunday, December 1st, 2019. I cannot say enough about the lovely afternoon event they prepared for us, the wonderful family meal, the carefully curated wine selection, the dedicated kitchen and hosting staff, all contributed to making our surprise celebration an enjoyable gathering for all! Wishing to extend our sincere gratitude , from our family to yours. The Velocci!

Gallucci is such a hidden gem right at Stouvile area. It has such a beautiful grape vine area, and they offer dining options during 12-6pm on a few days each week. Book ahead on their website. Loved the view when we sat down to enjoy the food. Food also topped our expectations. Definitely recommend everyone to try it if you are missing those winery when we were able to travel further to Niagara region.

Fantastic place to eat, fully immersed in the country North of the city. The wine yards cover the whole property, really unique place. Food is delicious, their Antipasto platters and focaccia are a must have, together with pizza or pasta. Oh and don't forget Nutella pizza for dessert! Antonio amd Anne-Marie are the perfect hosts. Strongly recommended. Call ahead of time for availability, place often hosts private functions.

Tried to come here for a bite to eat mid-day on a Sunday & they told us that they wouldn’t take 2 people because we didn’t call a week in advance (even though they clearly had space). One of the servers was exceptionally brash, rolling her eyes at the fact that we had expected to be served at their establishment when no where on google maps does it say that they don’t take walk ins. Ridiculous & insulting.

Great tasting food and wine really. I've been to many wineries and I have to say this was very good. Our waiter who served us and gave us the tour was accommodating, pleasant and thoughtful. He paid attention to all the little details. He got the stars here. I arrived first out of my group to the winery and was asked if I was sure I had the right place. A bit rude but I smiled and said I'll just wait outside. Everyone arrived, we sat and ordered the grilled veggie platter to share except the girl who served it didn't bother giving us plates. We actually had to get up and get the plates ourselves. We of course got the look but we're there just like everyone else to enjoy the wine and atmosphere. It's funny. Within 2 days of being in Stouffville, I cannot believe the nature of people. I'm still amazed. I've met and spent time with Italians who have been so welcoming and nurturing but this was different. Great surroundings. Good wine. Poor customer service except for the young gentleman who served us.

This place is where the wine has a local flavor, very nice food and it does get busy so make sure to call them up in advanced in order to book a reservation. We went here with about 4 people (all of us it was our firs time). We had a great experience, was a nice place to hang out and relax. The view of the front yard reminds me of being in Europe looking at the vineyards, would defeantly go back to this place!

Darin Hamilton

Really great table wines at reasonable prices

Gallucci Winery is my absolute favorite place to go! The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The view of the vineyard is beautiful. You will be hard-pressed what to order from the menu, so make sure you are plenty hungry when you go! It's a little slice of Italy in our own backyard. Thank you Antonio & staff for always making me feel like part of the family!

This is a great winery that we will come back to. However...some things need to be addressed. We were served 20 mins after being seated because the young hostess that was supposed to check on us spent several minutes chatting with a table of ppl who were either from the same area or were friends of friends. There were about 4 other tables of couples/groups to tend to and she was focused on one. Luckily, the manager/hostess in charge (short blonde hair) saved the day. We noticed she gave the young hostess a stern look and pointed to the other tables. The manager gave us proper tasting portions whereas the other hostess had given us mere sips. We also had to flag the hostess down to pay because she was...surprise surprise..back at the same table chatting up. As soon as we paid another couple followed because I think they had also been waiting for a while to wrap up. All in all, if this hostess got some more training not just on wines but on customer service and timeliness, it could have been a better visit. We are happy to come back but fingers crossed for a smoother experience.

I called in to reserve a table the day before for a group of friends, we were told to come on time as it was busy. We came in early not wanting to lose the reservation, the waitress was rushing us as she took us to our tables, and was not welcoming. She was very impatient as she took our orders and as she came by to check up on us. When we asked to order dessert she asked us if we were going to leave as she needed the table. So she escorted us outside, telling us the weather was just fine. She did not set a table at the outdoor patio for us and it was freezing cold on the contrary to what she said. We waited 20 minutes outside, but could no longer tolerate the cold so we went back inside infuriated ready to pay for the bill. At this point the waitress walked up to us asking if we wanted the bill completely neglecting that we ordered dessert which indicated to us that she completely forgot about us and would have left us out in the cold had we not come in. We felt extremely neglected, disrespected and unwanted which ruined what was supposed to be an exciting experience. We did notice that we were the only group asked to eat outside which we couldn't help but wonder if it was due to our skin tone, as we were the only POC there at that time. The food was great and the location was beautiful but the service from this waitress completely took away from the experience.

Cher Piazza

A hidden gem nestled right in York Region. Had lunch with friends here and it was like sitting on a terrazzo in Tuscany. Although it was a very hot day, the patio at the back of the building was fantastic - very comfortable and breezy, looking out on the vineyard. A perfect way to spend a summer or fall afternoon. The food was amazing. We ordered the mixed antipasto board and it amply served three for lunch with leftovers. Beautifully presented on a wooden board, and served with fritelle and olives. Delizioso! Inside you can taste wine and purchase it as well as other food items. Antonio is very charming and his passion for the winery shows. If you have not been here, I would highly recommend you make a reservation at this very special place.

Went to Gallucci Winery today for the very first time based on so many people sharing with me how great their experiences were. I can honestly say that this local gem is something that everyone should experience and as soon as you do, I mean literally while you’re there, you are booking your next reservation. AnneMarie & Antonio were phenomenal hosts from the minute my friends and I got there. They seated us promptly, introduced us to the family that works the restaurant and took incredible care of us our entire stay. The scenery was a nice little piece of heaven right here on earth, the ambience was inviting and sweet. The music in the background was classic Italian that everyone enjoyed. Reminded me of my parents. Songs that I remember listening to on cassette. Incredible classics. The wine was homegrown fresh. Our meal, honestly nothing was left on the plate between 4 of us. The antipasti, salads and pizza all fresh, tasty and filling. The servers were polite and on point refilling when necessary and removing plates, making great recommendations of their own personal favorites. The dessert options were all Italian sweets that you would find in any bakery/bar in Calabria. Every part of our ladies afternoon was amazing. Tons of beautiful places to take pictures. Absolutely the best place in York Region to enjoy classic Italian food with wonderful friends.

Ashleigh Townley

Delicious wine and food, and friendly owner! Make sure to make a reservation for the restaurant before you go.

Beautiful, picturesque winery in the heart of Stouffville, ON, away from the hustle and bustle of wineries in the province's more common areas of Niagara or Picton. Away from having to wait for service during peak times and monts, at Gallucci Winery, you will always be served in the most intimate way by Manager, and host Antonio! And if you happen to visit the winery during a peak time be amazed by Antonio's ability to keep all his guests inspired, while constantly keeping them laughing and enjoying his theatrical methods of teaching his customers about Gallucci's wines. My wife and I are frequent visitors to wine country throughout Ontario from Picton to Niagara, to Essex, and we have yet to visit a winery where the pleasure to serve, educate and enjoy a glass of wine with its guests can be match by Gallucci winery. And the wine you ask..... be prepared to taste a selection of wines (as Antonio doesnt shy away from showing off the entire selection, and proudly so) that can compete with the bigger name wineries!

Made a reservation here and brought a friend. When we got here it was completely empty and our table was half way in the sun. This day was extremely hot and keep in mind there were several empty tables. I had asked the hostess to move to a different table that wasn’t directly in the sun but she said that all the tables were planned out already. I said fine because I didn’t want to make a scene as I understand if things are preplanned. HOWEVER, another couple came 20 minutes later and asked to move to the table that we had initially requested. The hostess was SO quick and willing to accommodate them. My friend and I were appalled. Not sure if there is some favouritism towards certain people … but I will no longer being bringing friends or clients here anymore. By the time we left there were still several empty tables in the shade as well.

We had our son Joseph's First Holy Communion here on June 26. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this establishment. Fron the first contact to the very end, Anne Marie and her husband Antonio were warm and professional and so easy-going!!! Family and friends were all more than satisfied with the "Gallucci" experience. Anne Marie amd Antonio are hands-down the nicest people who not only take pride in delivery quality service to their guests (and I say guests because you feel like you're at home when you are there) but their staff are also dedicated to making you happy. Their exceptional food and quality, customer service, and not to mention "wine" is something that, after you experience it all, it will leave you wanting more. You are sure to be pleasantly surprised with all they have to offer. A beautiful venue that will make you feel you just arrived in beautiful Tuscany. What more can you ask for? And you don't have to drive very far to get all of this...and more. Thanks again for a most memorable day.

Reserved for 12:30 on an overcast day and their preference was to seat us half covered under the patio. Place is absolutely empty. Not a very good experience if it starts raining as the forecast pointed out. Though the waitress was willing to pull the table closer to be fully under the patio, I assume it was the owner or GM who was unwilling. I understand its for COVID restrictions but sir, the place is empty. Only had another family of 6 and by the way, they where seated in a fully covered table. Why is our table the only table that is not fully covered, rain in the forecast and as mentioned the place is empty. This guy wants to seat us where the 6 of us will be constantly worried about rain. Suffice to say we declined his offering. Shame as we were prepared to spend a few hundred on food and wine but i guess he had his reasons for letting us walk. Hope it wasn’t because we are Asian ?

We brought friends to the winery for lunch. The hostess brought us to our table and said someone would be with us shortly with menus. We waited and waited and waited. I had to flag someone finally to bring us menus. (It would have been easier if the hostess gave us the menus when we were seated.) Then we waited until finally someone came to take our order. Our orders did come fairly quickly but not at the same time. Which was unfortunate. The first one served did not feel comfortable starting to eat until everyone was served. We ordered white wine that was not very cold. As a winery, that should be the one thing that should have been right. We finished our meal and the waitress came to ask us if we wanted dessert. I mentioned that we were still enjoying our wine and could she come back later. Not even 10 minutes later she came back asking the same thing. Again I mentioned that we had not finished our wine. The third time we finally ordered dessert. Our friend ordered a cappuccino. Nope, not available. Their machine only does espresso??????? While we were having dessert the waitress comes back and asks us if we would like our bill. We hadn't even finished. My husband had to use the bathroom. We walked to the building where the bathrooms are. They have a rope blocking it off. You have to bend under it to access the building. That's fine if you are young. But for an elderly person with a cane it is a bit difficult. We knocked on the door. Nobody answered. I had to walk back to the patio and ask if someone could open the facility. If they are open to the public for the restaurant, they should have someone available in the building (which is their shop) to allow people to use the facilities. All in all I did not think our experience there today was satisfactory.

Food was good. Service was a little slow and the table we had wobbled a lot spilling the wine.

Had lunch here. It is a winery in Stouffville!! Yes Stouffville, went in with no expectations. Came out pleasantly surprised. Service and food was great and prices are reasonable. Had the grilled antipasto platter. WOW! It was amazing. The little fried bread was also great! Looks like they are just starting out here. The baco noir which they grow the grapes here was quite good. Again I originally had low expectations. Grounds are pleasant but small. So if you are north of the city it is worth a try.

Rarely does one find as perfect blend of terrible wine (in a winery) complimented with tasteless overpriced menu options. You are disappointed from the onset with picnic style metal tables followed by servers with no knowledge of wine (in a winery) offering a menu option out of a diner style catalog. The appetizers meats are small & Offered in paper plates. The wine was old and had tannins/pomace of skin, stem and seeds settled in each glass. Horrible enough to never return!

I had a lovely lunch with a friend of mine at Gallucci Winery a month ago, and thought it was a fabulous experience. The staff was so friendly, our server was amazing, and the food we ordered was fantastic. I had no clue there was such a wonderful winery in such close proximity. I liked it so much, I took my sisters there a couple weeks later. Do book ahead though, they get booked fast!

The experience was frustrating, to say the least. If you want to feel ignored and patronized then Gallucci winery is the place to go. I travelled all the way to this winery with a friend after making a reservation with Antonio on the phone the day before for a 4:00 p.m. tour the following day. Their website advises that reservations are required for a tour. However, the website neglects to let you know that you will also need to make a reservation if you would like to to eat. We arrived at 2:15 p.m. so that we could enjoy a light lunch before our tour. When we walked into the winery we were not greeted and left to stand in the middle of the shop while Antonio entertained three women tasting wine. We did not want to interrupt so we browsed the one display of condiments available for purchase. After 10 minutes of standing there with still no acknowledgement we thought we would walk out to the back patio on our own so we could ask a waiter to be seated for lunch. When we did ask a waiter, Antonio yelled out to us from his throne behind the bar “we are not a restaurant; you need to make a reservation because we make everything fresh. That was the extent of our greeting. We stood there for a few minutes feeling very disappointed. After arriving at 2:15 p.m., being ignored for 20 minutes, venturing out own our own to the back patio and then being told you can’t eat here it was now 3:00 p.m. We decided we would quickly drive somewhere to grab something quick to eat before our tour. Before we left, I gave him my name and asked him to confirm our reservation for a 4:00 p.m. wine tour that day. He confirmed that we were on his list for that day. We returned to the winery at 3:50 p.m. to be once again ignored for 10 minutes. Antonio finally acknowledges our presence by nudging a waiter standing next to him and saying to him “you are doing a tour today”. Antonio then turns his back to us. The waiter looks surprised and disengaged and rolls his eyes. We are left standing there….Antonio says nothing to us…..the waiter says nothing to us. So, we venture to the back patio and sit a table and wait. The time now is 4:10 p.m. and nobody has come to get us for a tour. We decide it is time to end our nightmare and just go home. But, not be before I tell Antonio what I think. I went back into the shop and told him that I would not recommend his winter to anyone and that he was very rude and so unwelcoming to his guests. His response – “What do you mean? I told you we are not a restaurant – what do you want from me?..... I asked you if you wanted water”. There was no apology. The 2 reviews posted after my review may have been submitted by employees of your winery. I googled Jessica's full name and it appears that she is a staff member.

Let me start off by saying how beautiful the Gallucci Winery family is. They pride themselves in making every guest feel at home and to have a good time. The very first time I walked into Gallucci Winery they made me feel like I was in the comfort of there own home . The gallucci family always treats everyone the same, 2. The food is incomparable always fresh and the best food in town. You will not find anywhere else like this . The view is gorgeous, makes me feel like I'm in Italy which is my happy place. I highly recommend Gallucci Winery for anyone with an open heart and an open mind .

Gallucci winery is a spectacular hidden gem located off ninth line in Stouffville. They offer wine tours and the best lunch I’ve ever had! Deliciously fresh salads, pizza, pasta and antipasto/cheese boards paired with a picturesque setting. It feels like you’re in Italy or France having lunch on the beautiful outdoor patio amongst the stunning vineyards. Do yourself a favour and try this place! Reservations only but it’s soooo worth it!

I love this place and miss it very much! If you're looking for a hidden gem in Stouffville, this is it! You feel like you're in Ontario wine country, St. Catherine's, when you go there. The grounds surrounding the small building are stunning and the food is so delicious, authentic Italian. You must visit this place!

A great experience and the best winery I've been to! The staff and especially Antonio were unbelievable and so welcoming. It's a beautiful property with the best selection of wines and home cooked Italian food. Didn't have a wine or a dish or a desert that we didn't love. Will be back soon and recommend anyone considering a winery to visit here. Thanks for everything! -Tyler + Stephanie

Absolutely lovely! You pull in and you feel like you've gone to a little Italian villa. Food is fresh and the wine is amazing. Started out as the Nonni's hobby that grew into what it is. The son in laws wife is the chef I believe. Would absolutely go back, and would absolutely recommend. They're only open a few days a week and only from 12-6pm, so make sure you make a reservation a few weeks in advanced. Enjoy!

Shared an amazing lunch with great ambience. Antonio the host was Amazing... but his wife, Anne Marie's cooking, was unbelievable! I came last year for the first time and had linguine ai fungi. I had this pasta on my mind for a year and finally got back there today. It was just as I remembered. So delicious! Definitely a hidden gem!!!

Are you kidding me! The food, the wine... since my first visit, this is now an annual tradition for me and my sisters when I come to Stouffville every year! Antonio is amazing. I leave with 5 bottles of wine and the food is soooooo good. Suggest the Margahraita Pizza and any pasta....actually or any sandwich, or salad, all the food is delicious!
