A cute enough vineyard. VERY limited food selection: a cheese plate or charcuterie. Plastic utensils and paper plates. It’s so easy to find a winery that offers a little more and aims a little higher. Tried two flights of six wines (reds). Decent wines. Plastic utensils at a winery…not a solid choice.

Elevation makes for great views. Keen hospitality. Patio is a must. Great setting for an event. Wine was good - prefer the white wine. Food was from a local restaurants & was described & served perfectly.

One of my favourite wineries on the Bench by far. the staff are always incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The wine - Rose in particular - is lovely. The scenery is some of the best, due to the hilltop location and picnic tables available! They also make amazing and affordable cheese plates for you to enjoy along with the wine. I can't say enough - love this place. Also is kid friendly with a little art station!!

It was nice. Thought it was strange that they didn't wave the tasting if you bought bottles like every other winery. This was the only winery that we didn't buy a bottle at for this reason. Reply to owner: I would understand if the three glasses we had were 5 to 8 oz. But, they were no more then 2 oz each. Maybe the person pouring them was used to pouring smaller portions?

Aug 11.Nice set-up, nice view from patio deck. Friendly staff. Could use a motorcycle parking spot so kickstands don't sink in gravel like other wineries have. Take a look at what The Burning Kiln by Turkey Point has. Metal plate to rest kickstand on. Sept 23. Went back today. We were helped by Emily. Very pleasant and helpful. Bought 12 bottles which she is having delivered as we were on our bikes. What a difference with a winery along hwy 8 were none of the staff bothered to ask us if we needed help

I feel terrible that it has taken me this long to give a five star review. We moved to Niagara in 2019 and bring all our guests to Fielding when they visit. It has a phenomenal outdoor tent and the best views! The snacks paired with a tasting (or 2) is the best way to spend a day off. It is never too crowded and the staff always help make excellent suggestions. Hands down, one of my favourite places on the bench.

Had a fabulous low key time yesterday at Fielding, decided to pop in for a solo tasting with just myself. The lady behind the bar was personable and super sweet- she was knowledgeable! The environment was clean, classy and organic. The viognier, riesling 19, and merlot were all delicious and spot on for their varietials. I will have to come back to try others + cider. Thanks for a lovely time fielding!

Stopped in to sample some reds and enjoyed them quite a bit. Good wines, great host-Brock. Property is licensed, so you can buy a glass and go for a walk. Loved it there. I will be back. I encourage all wine lovers to check them out

Booked an outdoor dome for an interesting winter outing. The dome can seat 6 people comfortably and is heated with a small portable heater. Its $20 to rent for 2 hours The staff was fantastic and our waitress seemed to genuinely enjoy serving use, despite the frigid weather. It was -26°C with the windchill. We ordered a cider each and a glass of wine each. I had the apple cider and my wife had the peach cider. Both were good, the peach being the better of the 2, but I think they would have tested better served on ice, as I found the apple cider to be too carbonated. For wine my wife had the Reisling, which was good but I had the Syrah and it was amazing. I highly recommend it. For food we order the charcuterie board and the chocolate simpler. Both were fantastic and seemed the perfect amount of food. Overall we really enjoyed the experience and it made for a nice romantic evening. Sitting in the dome as the sun set over the snow covered fields was truly a unique experience. Our only disappointment was that it was absolutely chilly inside the domes. There was a small heater that was horribly inadequate at warming inside. We had to keep our heavy winter coats on and even placing the heater directly on our table next to us did little to warm us. We would have stayed longer and spent more money had it not been unbearably cold. We were told after paying our bill that there were blankets we could have used, but it was too late at that point . Pros: Unique experience Great staff Food was very good Definitely worth it Cons: Heaters are far too small to heat the domes, resulting in a less than comfortable time. Dress as though you are sitting outside!

Called ahead to make sure we could get a table, we were told they had a reservation for 3pm on the patio or the picnic tables and muskoka tables. They said we didn’t need a reservation for the picnic tables so that’s what we picked not knowing that we could not be served at all down at the picnics tables. Had to re-wait In line to order drinks and food. When the 6 drinks we ordered were brought to us waiting by the order table we were told we were not allowed to bring 6 drinks down to the table with three people (standard drinks served is 2 per person) so we argued a tad with the sever until she allowed us to bring our own drinks down to our table. Half the items were missing from our order and I had to walk back up to go collect the missing items for our $152.00 bill. They also expect a tip on top of no service and ask you to bring your plates and bowls back up the service desk because they will not collect them from your table. Awful service, bad attitudes from the waitresses and and all around awful experience.

THE WITCH

I'm a member of FEW but they have great wine and they offer two menu options cheese plate and charcuterie board, wine by the glass or a flight of 3 wines I sampled rosé rock pile red, cabernet sryah, and Gewürztraminer I liked the gewurz, the best with one of the cheeses the smoked one, the rosé is their new release if like earthy notes the rock pile red is a great choice the cab sryah is a mild red but a great finish

We’ve been twice, both times in the fall, once in 2016 and again in 2017. Owners are friendly, staff are great and there’s no finer way to enjoy good wine than with a cheese plate while sitting in Muskoka chairs on a patio overlooking the vineyard. We will be doing this again and again. Love it!

Fielding is one of my favourite wineries to visit when in Niagara region. The view is enjoyable and the sparkling rose is perfect. They have cute merchandise in their shop and always offer a tasty bite as a part of the Discovery Passport.

Fielding offers an amazing ambience I made a reso 2 weeks ago for a quick bite and some wine. I requested in the lodge, they also offer seating outside in a igloo clear heated pod looks so cute, but being 1 person I wouldn't take up valuable seating. I had 2 flight sample, and cheese plate

Really amazing service and tasting, it was informative and she answered all of our questions. It was perfect. Thanks so much to the staff for such a great experience. The view is spectacular and the winery itself is really big. The wine is great. The tasting included 4 tastings of wine ranging from red to rose to white. It was great selection and I'd be back.

Had a great experience with the wine tasting and some food out on the decking over looking the vineyards and the ambiance was so nice and the service was good. The knowledge of the wine making was not as great as the angels gate. But was still a great experience. The grounds are very nice, I find that the smaller vineyards are a much better experience then the larger ones. It seems to be a more personal experience, the larger ones, Jackson Triggs seems to just want you in and out. The bigger ones are more of a big business feeling and more of a commercial style wine yard.

Visited five wineries in the Niagara region and this one is the favourite! We did a tasting with flights in the airy tent outside. It was such a great vibe with live music. Our server was knowledgeable and took time with us. The place mats with the name of each wine was helpful. The view of the lake, and walking around the grounds was the cherry on top. Of the 8 wines we tried, the Cab/Syrah blend and Muscat were the best and came home with us.

My partner and I visited Fielding Winery on a Sunday afternoon. We made a reservation online which was very easy - and received a confirmation text message the day before. We were impressed by the vineyard, tasting building and the modifications in place for COVID-19! The wine is truly delicious and the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We are thankful to have had Emma and Karyn wait on us because they provided excellent service and were willing to share so much information about the region and winery itself! After our self-guided tasting we had local hard cider and viewed the vineyard and city through viewing binoculars! You have to check out the small shop they have in the tasting room. We will be back next year!

What a great experience and some really terrific wine! Didn't have a chance to plan ahead today, we tried to book online but all the tasting tables outside for Flights & cheese plates were booked (I recommend even at this end of season to book online ahead!)....but we got a little back patio table and enjoyed some great Riesling, and what an Estate Cab Franc! Thank you Margaret for all the pouring, tips and tasting notes - and taking time to help us have a great day even though you were so busy! Recommended visit if you love great wine and a great view!

Beautiful scenery but the service was not great. The server didn't seem to know anything about the wines or ciders (I asked about the Peach and she said she didn't know as she hadn't tried it) and I was disappointed that the cider could only be sold in 2s as I would have liked to have purchased the 3 types in a mixed pack. When I specifically asked if I could get 4 pack with peach, hard cider and 2 roses the same server mentioned that I was only allowed to get 2 of the same kind in the pack of 4.
