I visited Adamo Winery recently with family and it exceeded expectations! Not only was the wine fantastic, but it was the service that made our time there extra special. Our server was so knowledgeable about the menu and winery and very kind. He said he had only worked there a few weeks but wow, don’t let this guy go! We would definitely return based on this experience. We stayed at Hockley Valley the night of our wedding last year and dined at the hotel restaurant. It was a terrible experience. If we could do it over again, we would much rather have dined at the winery instead! They made us feel like more valued guests than we experienced the night of our wedding. Definitely recommend giving this place a try. Beautiful sunsets as well.

Nice atmosphere, amazing patio - but wines are just passable. Too many wine varieties that all resemble each other and lack any depth. Patio is excellent, food is decent and not overpriced (for winery), service is just ok - nothing special nor noticeable. Still worth a visit for patio and grounds alone.

A fantastic spot for an afternoon outing - close enough to the city to drive up for the day to enjoy some fresh air, great food and even better wine. The grounds are incredibly well kept, lots of fantastic wines to try while enjoying lunch or dinner. Everything from the Mussels to the Misto board were delicious - House Focaccia is a must. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable - for those looking for a more relaxing experience or those looking to get nerdy about the wine alike. Lots of shade thanks to great patio set up - COVID protocols in place allow you to enjoy your experience and feel safe while taking in the scenery. Thanks so much to Marshall & Shannon for the incredible experience. Can’t wait to come back.

Loved the dinner, atmosphere, and service. Come prepared to spend a bit of time sampling the plates and wines. Shamika was very helpful and she had an excellent knowledge of the food and wines. You won't feel rushed and can enjoy the beautiful scenery rounding out this experience for 5 stars.

First this is a great destination in Dufferin County! The facility is well designed and inviting. The brunch experience was average where the service was good to start and ended. The food was okay and only worthy of this average star rating. So if you are craving a drop dead, yummy food experience Adamo does not deliver.

Visited today to buy a bottle of wine. Wasn't acknowledged, no help with selection. Stood at cash for several minutes while staff moved around...finally someone said they would be with us in a few minutes. I was hoping for a better experience while we were visiting from out of town.

This review is for the facility only. This winery has a restaurant and cafe facility which is very nice. In fact I was not expecting such a nice facility given the area. The place is about 1 hour away from the GTA and the 120 person wedding venue is also very nice. The main space has a store for wines, oils, spreads and the like. Then there is a restaurant space above with elevator access. They have a large patio next to the restaurant seating area and another by the main floor cafe. Pets are not welcomed but there is one spot where they will allow you to sit with your pet. Not lot of seats. The bathroom was modest and nothing special. They also have a spot for weddings where you can have the ceremony outside. Bet it will look fabulous with the right decor. So this place is nice for a vineyard but not super fancy. I have seen nicer venues in Niagara. But it is a nice option if you want to celebrate an occasion because they have a kitchen facility and can cater your meal.

Beautiful location, great wine however was greeted by an incredibly rude Ariana Grande wannabe at the bar with no name tag. Ruined the event for us we were attending. It’s a shame she’s so ungrateful to work at such a nice place.

Our tasting sommelier was excellent and we enjoyed our charcuterie board. Surprised when we were charged $20 for tasting flight, after purchasing 4 bottles of wine each. In our experience that fee is usually waived when you purchase wine but apparently Adamo distinguishes between 2 oz sample in flight and 1 oz sample for tasting.

Would give this place 6 stars if I could! Came here on a weekday and found out tours were only given on weekends. Ended up doing a tasting and couldn't have enjoyed it more! As soon as we walked in, Andreas greeted us with a big smile and was incredibly kind. Charity and Natasha did our tasting and they were hilarious. We hadn't even noticed the 3 hours that just flew by while we were there. The most exciting part was that Shawna, the wine maker herself, walked in and helped with our tasting! She makes delicious wine and is such a sweet person. Lastly, Mr Adamo also made a surprise visit which was a nice cherry on top. Had an unforgettable experience here all thanks to Shawna, Charity, Natasha, and Andreas! Highly, highly recommend visiting this gem! The wine is great and the people are even better! Will be back for a tour.

This evening was so bad it would have been laughable but for the over $300 bill. 12 olives for $12. A small focaccia for $13. And then the tiniest pasta dishes for $20 + each. Then to top it off one of our party ate his THREE ravioli all by himself - the other three meals didn’t arrive for 10-15 minutes. When they did and we commented on his meal being eaten alone we were told that the server should have told us that if we wanted to eat our meals together we should have told her!! Seriously?! How arrogant is this chef that he sends your food out whenever he wants - and thinks it’s ok for four people to eat at different times. The place is cavernous and noisy. There was live music making it impossible to hear each other across the vast table we were seated at. It really couldn’t have been worse if they’d tried. We had been in the summer of 2020 on the patio and it was amazing. This time not so much - we would never go back.

VERY impressive set up. I was not expecting much so this may have helped, but this place is beautiful. The building itself if state of the art, very modern while not being cold/uninviting. I went in the summer, they had a guy singing and playing the guitar on the outdoor patio, the food is great, the view is phenomenal, and the wine is what surprised me the most! I could't imagine Hockley or any region in Dufferin county being able to produce anything worth mentioning. Its simply too cold, and who knew if the soil quality suits vine growing. But it seems to, I know some wines are blended with Niagara VQA grapes, but I made sure to try their house wines consisting solely of grapes grown on the property. The Pinot Noir was spectacular, very comparable to a mid-range burgundy and can definitely compete head to head with the best Niagara has to offer. I would say the same about their riesling and cab franc. I hope people give this place a chance, it was busy when I went so I hope the trend continues. Its the perfect escape without having to sit for hours stuck on the QEW Niagara bound, its "close' to the city, fairly priced, and a great unique date night!

Adamo winery is absolutely beautiful. The wine is amazing and staff are extremely friendly. We had a wine tasting and everything we tried was so delicious. I even bought wine on my way out because it was that good. The meat and cheese board was phenomenal. Our server was Amanda and she was so friendly, helpful and very good at what she does. Beautiful venue with lovely views of the vinyard. Went on a Saturday with girlfriends and had tappas-style lunch. Everything we ordered was delicious including the bottle of the Adamo Reisling. The service was wonderful - the ladies who waited on our table were kind and so attentive. Definitely would return to this gem on a sunny day and sit on the patio!

I made a reservation at this Winery for my friends and I at 7:45 on Friday. We arrived 5 minutes early and upon arrival we were greeted and told it would be 5 minutes as they were cleaning some tables. We were left waiting for 20 minutes. We didn't get sat until 8:00 pm. After we sat down, we were greeted by someone who told us they would be taking care of us until our actual server got back from her break. We ordered tasting flights and some food right away. Our food took quite a while to come out and when our cheese board finally arrived it arrived alone, not along side our Salumi board and other apps. We waited for what felt like forever and finally looked at the time and realized it had been 1 hour since we ordered and no one had been to our table in quite a while. My friend got up and went inside and spoke to the lady who was serving us and she responded with "your server hasn't been to your table yet? She has been back from break". After my friend returned to the table, a new server came over with water and the wine my friend had ordered while going inside. The server did not introduce herself or apologize and just said "where am I dropping this water?" We finally got our Salumi board and other plates and the server who started us off returned to drop those off and said she is sorry the kitchen had fallen behind. It would have been nice to have some communication if that was actually the case. My friends and I work at The Keg Steakhouse & Bar and we know it is our job, even after punching in food orders, to make sure we stay on top of the GET times and communicate with our table if there are delays. I understand it is Covid and restaurants are adjusting and getting back into the groove but I know other restaurants and the restaurant I work at have not sacrificed their service, quality of experience and food just because of Covid. The food was mediocre and the service was horrendous. The atmosphere is really amazing at the place but for the service really detoured us from ever going back.

This is a great Winery to visit, From the moment we walked in a very friendly staff member greated us. The food was delicious and the wine was so good. We did a tasting and bought 4 bottles to enjoy at home. All the staff were very kind and full of knowledge. The environment is very nice and relaxing.

Food was great. Crab cakes with pickled cucumber and mushy peas tasted very different and I would not recommend it. The focaccia bread is big and great for ordering to dip in the mussels , arugula pesto gnocchi and especially the sauce on the mushroom crustini dish. The redhead Pinot noir had nice peppery notes and low sugar. Dry. Unfortunately service was very slow. Otherwise, a beautiful place for tapas and vino.

We went for a private taste and tour for lunch and then came back for the live music we had reserved for 8pm that night for dinner while staying at the Hockley Valley Resort and let me tell you it was absolutely phenomenal. The food was well thought out. Everything we had was delicious, the staff are extremely polite and very well trained. Our server Carissa was super attentive and friendly. The manager Prathik was thorough and the GM Ken Murray was very hands on with the overall operations. We had the pleasure of meeting the head winemaker, Shauna, who was very passionate about what she does and definitely has an obsession to detail. The live music on the patio was fantastic! I would highly recommend visiting Adamo Estate Winery!!! The overall experience was 5 star and all in all we had a fantastic time to cap off our week at the Resort. Great work to all the team! They do not disappoint. We had a great time and look forward to coming back!!!

I have been to this place before and today I honestly feel cheated by this winery. They sell other wineries wines. They also bring in wines from another vineyard. If you're looking to taste from this vineyard your options are extremely limited. Before coming here remember that you need to buy 4 bottles of wine, yes 4 bottles of wine to waive the $12 tasting fee. Does not matter what the value of bottles you buy, they will still charge you for the tasting. I'm extremely disappointed in the service of this place considering I bought two high value wines and they still charged me a $12 tasting. I hope the $12 was worth it as I won't be coming back.

The winery overall is small and nice. The design and decoration and area is pretty nice and well done. I went there with my girlfriend for wine tasting tour and late lunch. Wine tour: very short and only taste 2 type of wines. I understand it’s smaller winery than usual. But for the price it should be more info Provided and more samples. service at reception /booking: the staff need more training. Hey booked a week ago and they said they will call to confirm but they never did then when I arrived they told it was booked for different time of what I asked. That got sorted out and added to the next tour. But the lady’s customer services was not that great as well as the attitude. Lunch on the patio: the service super slow and we got seated last and there people before us got it seated which is fine. It happens but the service was slow and they sat us near a generator it was loud and uncomfortable. Overall the place has potential, but require retraining the staff completely and manage it better. I understand it’s post covid time and things are crazy. But you can’t hide behind covid card. The place needs restart and will not go back there till proper Managment put in place with trains staff. Don’t get me wrong this not personal. The staff there they just need to be trained more.

We love the Friday night wine and unwind evenings which feature small plate seafood dishes, excellent desserts with live music. Great service that is almost too fast! I want to linger here longer in the beautiful architecture and surroundings of this place.

We expected more after all the glowing reviews. The winery building is amazing, large and bright. Likely a good venue for events. However, the wines are problematic. They only make 1 wine from local grapes which is just ok. The rest are mostly from Niagara region. The price for the tasting is ridiculous at $13+tax+tip for 4 one-ounce samples, one of the most expensive I have seen. Also, they wouldn't take any of it off the bottles you buy. Bottles are expensive too.

The Vidal is delicious as a first wine. On a clean palette it's an explosion of flavours and even my partner who's normally a strictly red wine lady enjoyed it. As well as good wine they also have friendly helpful staff who are more than happy to answer questions about the vineyard and the wines.

Stopped into Adamo Winery on a trip up to Hockley Valley. It was a delightful surprise to find such a nice place! We did the wine tasting flights, and then bought 8 bottles of wine, making the flights free! The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, answering our questions and pouring our wine with professionalism. Gift shop is small but nice, beautiful patio overlooking vineyard. A nice stop on a country drive! Has a nice event venue too!

Been here a few times now and happy to report it’s been great both times. Food was great again on both occasions, but our server tonight (Sanj?) was exceptional; friendly, knowledgeable and charismatic. Really went out of his way to convert me to the Chardonnay, and while I will never be a Chardonnay drinker, it made me think about it for a hot second. Pinot Gris!

My brother had his wedding here. The venue is scenic and the place is clean. The staff were really nice and professional. There was a bit of a mix up with the kid's meals for the dinner and also a my up with my food sensitivity to sulphites. I was accidentally served food that had wine with sulphites in it. In the middle of eating the head chef ran out to me after realizing the mistake (I'm not sure if it was his or another staff that made the mistake) he apologized profusely and offered to make me something else and also checked to see if I was okay. He had genuine concern about what was going to happen to me. Luckily it would only give me a sore/uncomfortable throat but I was okay. As I left for the night he caught me again and apologized again and checked to see if I was okay. Really professional and great guy. Mistakes were made, we're all human, it happens. The staff owned up to it and tried to make amends. There was a salad with heirloom tomatoes that was great. The beef tenderloin was decent, the pasta could use a bit of work though. Overall good experience.

Amazing winery!! 1st ever experience at a winery and I am super impressed! Got recommended a Rosé by our server that was not on the menu & so happy we did ! The underdog Rosé 2019 was so light and perfect for the hot day. Got the antipasto platter which was delicious & paired ever so perfectly with it. Finished the meal with the Nutella Affogato and lemon tart and both were so tasty. Taylor was an amazing server and gave us really good recommendations and a fantastic experience. She even took our photo. Price was beyond reasonable. It’s the perfect place to spend an afternoon. A true hidden gem of Hockley Valley.

Very lovely space! Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and happy to chat with us. The wines served were all excellent in their own regard (We only tasted the estate made and grown flavours). Food was decent, pricy and small portions as expected from a Winery. Afterwards, we took a brief walk in behind the estate throughout the vineyard. I do recommend that they mark trails for patrons, however, to ensure proper footpath following. Overall great experience!

I have been here twice and plan to go back! It's a great winery and the food is delicious. I just wish they had larger portions but it's enough to soak up all the wine. Our most recent visit we arrived early for our reservation but we were seated immediately. Great customer service, very knowledgeable staff/servers and wonderful wine!

We pulled in to check out the winery and ended up staying for an amazing wine tasting experience! Fabulous wines, unique wine tasting room with views of the wine cellar and very well socially distanced. Our servers "Liz" and "Taylor" were excellent! They both know their wines, and not just Adamo wines..they are extremely knowledgeable in the art of wine-making and explaining the nuances of wine tasting.

A beautiful spot with delicious food. The service was confused. We sat for almost 10 minutes without anyone giving us eye contact or water or a menu despite there being many servers milling around. We had a few orders brought to our table that we didn't order and they were very slow to clean up the table beside us even though there were people waiting for tables. It was a busy Friday night but there were a lot of servers who seemed new and weren't very efficient. I'm surprised at all the positive reviews for service. Not sure we'll go back anytime soon.

Really like the design, the atmosphere, the views. This is a great place to be in, until you try food and wine. Let me elaborate, wine is mediocre at best: most of the bottles taste like cheapest bottles from LCBO and the ones that taste good cost too much compared to Californian or European wine. Food costs too much for the portion size and quality. First time we went there we got couple tiny smelts for a price of a nice lunch. Second time, my wife ordered eggs benedict which contained of a big piece of bread, speck of ham and almost hard-boiled egg; I ordered an "Estate burger" which did not have anything special about it besides burnt buns and overcooked meat. I would not complain about the price, if it was not for the quality of food. I am really disappointed, that place that beautiful has such a terrible food and wine.

Excellent service at their Paddock Cafe. I had the bitter salad, lasagna and focaccia loaf, with an order of the Vidal. Really an excellent meal. Will be returning for sure once the season warms up, so I can have a meal outside overlooking the vineyard.

Our host for the afternoon Garrett was very accommodating and informative. The white wines we tasted were good. Andres and I particularly liked the Chardonnay Mosque. Dad and Linda liked the Videl a lot. Andres also liked the coffee (he was driving so was really just tasting). My husband and I were honeymoon-ing at the nearby Hockley Valley Resort, and stopped by the Adamo Estate Winery for a mid-afternoon snack and glass of wine. We were pleasantly surprised by the stunning view of the vineyard, and the warm, welcoming staff. The resort's executive chef Ini took a minute out of his busy afternoon to welcome us, congratulate us and explain his operation. These staff members work hard to ensure quality, both in an out of the kitchen in a true farm-to-table manner. We spent that afternoon sitting under a sun shade, enjoying some new (to us) and intriguing wines, and thoughtfully crafted charcuterie. We went in on a whim, but were incredibly thankful we did.

Unimpressed… there was barely anyone there and now I understand why. We bought a bottle of wine, muscles etc. I had to go in and ask if our muscles were coming after a while. They eventually brought them to our table in a to go bag and a container? Tacky. No one came to our table the entire night and we sat there with empty glasses, no wine etc. Better service at a roadhouse

We had reservations for mid-week. When we got there, no one greeted us at FOH. Waited several minutes before someone did and then it was not friendly, no smile, nothing. He did not even ask how we were doing. We asked to be seated inside, he stopped in his tracks(he was at the door to the patio) and pointed to a table for 8. I said we are only 2 people, he said 'This is what we have' and pointed to the table for 8. My wife walked over to a table for 2. The wait staff took over from there and the evening improved immensely. The FOH made us want to leave, the wait staff made us glad we stayed.

Held my daughter's surprise bridal shower early September in the Great Room outdoor patio. The entire experience starting with Kendra Gatshuff (event mangaer) the venue, to the waitresses/hostess Ashley and Rachelle, the service, the food was FANASTIC. Kendra was professional, accomodating, offered recommendations, listened to what I would like and setup the entire space to please everyone on my guest list. Highly recommend Adamo for any event and several of my guests have been back for lunch/supper.Even a shout out to Sunny in Accounting who was very patient when we had some problems with a credit card!!

We came without a reservation on a Saturday afternoon and they were so nice and accommodating and we were seated in the upstairs area. They are known for their pet-nats, which is what we ordered. Our hostess brought the bottle out and poured each of us a glass. It was cold and super crisp. The only complaint was our server couldn’t tell us anything about the wine because she had never tried it before. I would go back and check out their bottle shop.

After asking a question, you will get the answer(yes, no, short few words). Not sure if the person was just down because of covid reality or not as friendly. If we would have tasted with this person, it would be a solid overall 4 stars! To get unquestionable 5 stars, you need to deliver as Colaneri winery. Definitely, will give a second chance. Ps: house Vidal is refreshing, crisp, dry, very lemony with touch of apple.

I’ve been to the winery about three times and I cannot rave enough about the beautiful venue, amazing wine (legacy wines are my absolute fave!!), and super friendly staff. The venue is cozy in the winter, airy and breezy in the summer time especially out on the patio overlooking the vineyard. dreamy. I’ve bought so many bottles of Legacy pet Nat (I hoard them whenever I visit) and everyone I shared it with LOVED it. Effervescent, fun, and cloudy. They also have a great selection of seasonal and regular tapas-style menu that I enjoyed every visit. I love you Adamo!

Went for lunch....we were so excited as we have been before for lunch and tastings...unfortunately this time was not good Our waitress was awesome, food was awesome, unfortunately our tasting did not happen...tastings had to be the same at the table, my friend and I don't have the same taste in wine, flights were also very expensive since you couldn't even choose what you wanted to try. Hopefully they figure this out and change

I was there this past week. Portions are smaller and pricing has gone up on the boards. In saying that everything was delicious. My only disappointment were the wine glasses. We had ordered a bottle of wine for the table and the server brought 4 wine glasses. They were so wine spotted they didn’t even feel clean. When I asked she said it had to do with their dishwasher. They have glass buffers .... clearly that wasn’t something that was important to them, as a winery it should be. Take care when washing and drying the glasses, like almost everyone does in their own homes.

We went for a wine tasting and really enjoyed the experience. Antonio showed us around the estate and showed us the process of making the wines. We tasted two red wines and one white one, which we all very much enjoyed. In the end we took some wines home. We had a lovely experience and would recommend everybody to visit this vineyard! A hidden gem. Beautiful setting. This winery is in the Hockley Valley, who knew it was there? Great restaurant.....in a beautiful building. Very nice wine tasting area. Great wine. I bought Vidal Frank's Corner. This is a tad sweet, I don't like dry or off dry wine. Well worth a day trip from Toronto.

The estate is beautiful! We tried the estate tasting which comes with four different estate wines. Unfortunately the table had to have the same tasting due to covid procedures. We all do not have the same wine taste so this was a bit disappointing. The food is really good but really meant for tasting, not a full let's be full meal. It is definitely an experience that I would like to try again.

We visited the winery on Wednesday evening. We sat in the top patio. It was very peaceful with a gorgeous view of the vineyards. We were served by Amanda who was very knowledgable about their wines, was prompt, friendly and attentive. We shared a bottle of wine and tried an oaked chardonny that was different and very tasty! Would definitely recommend visiting here, prices were reasonable, service was on point and can't beat the views!

Great atmosphere. We went on Friday night, my friend & I. We decided to sit outside, on the upper patio, it was so very nice. Friday they have live music, on the lower patio, but it's all open so you can see & hear from the upper patio. Music was great, I think it was a local young man. We ordered a few appi's, to share, all were good, but the gnocchi was amazing, they were made with ricotta, not potato. It was pretty full inside & outside. If you are a larger group, you can sit on the couches, & there you have a nice glass fireplace to enjoy. Both patio's are covered. Staff is super friendly, we also had Shannon coming around to make sure all was well. She is such a great attentive lady. Thank you, to our server & Shannon, we really enjoyed our evening out, we will be back. Just a note, bottom patio, is all small stones, so don't wear heels, maybe wedges. Also the parking is not paved yet.
