They are in stores all over and a must try for anyone wanting to drink delicious and unique wine. Wow, just wow. I can’t recommend this place enough. The people are super friendly and they have a very proud product with a great back story to go with it. All the wines are delicious, I came in expecting to go home with a bottle or two and left with 12 plus a bottle of their Pi. If you’ve ever thought of trying their wine or going out for a tour and going home with a case or two, now is the time to support the local businesses. New favourite, so glad I was talked into it.

Me and my girlfriend decided to check out the wine tour today and was a very enjoyable experience overall. The tour guide Carly was new at presenting and as such there was a bit of nervousness for sure, however she was polite, informative and passionate about the business. The wine was delicious and brought home 6 bottles. I recommend to all Alberta locals and visitors alike for a unique wine experience. Thanks!

I stopped by to take a look but never partook in any tasting. I will definitely for sure next time and follow up. The location itself was very nice with the backyard patio. It looked like they had some nice products in the show room. Look forward to visiting again. ????☺️ October 30th I revisited Black Prince to try some of their wines. I had a glass of the Cabernet Franc and enjoyed it! ????☺️

Came to wine country for the long weekend and Black Prince Winery gave us the best experience. Curtis was amazing so knowledgeable and friendly. They have a huge variety of wines AND vinegars. The stone oven pizza here is amazing and definitely worth the wait. The live music was relaxing, a lot places over do it with the live music but it was great here! Thank you was Curtis for the great experience. We will definitely be back.

I love & adore Spirit Hills Winery and their products! It is a great locally owned and family run business and each wine has been produced with so much care and thoughtfulness. While I love all of the 5 main varieties, my go to favourites are the Dande (to which I’ve gotten my whole extended family obsessed with) and Saskwatch. Ilse & Hugo are wonderful people to deal with and they have great enthusiastic staff representing them in the Edmonton area. If you have not already tried Spirit Hills Winery, I would definitely recommend looking them up at your local liquor store or at many of the local farmers markets/craft sales!

A little hard to find, and gravel roads the last few miles, but the experience was lovely and the wine is divine. The owners are quite lovely, and obviously are passionate about their craft. That passion is reflected in the wines, all of which were delicious.

It is worth the drive to visit this beautiful winery with distinctively delicious honey wine. I learned that dandelion petals do have a purpose! And they are a tasty one. We got a private tasting as we were the only ones there.

The wine and vinegar tasting was a lot of fun. I, personally, didn't like the wines. The vinegars were delicious. My friends and I we had pizza and vegan ice cream. Everything EXCELLENT!!! Thanks for such a great time!! And the place is beautiful.

Oh wow this place is AMAZING. Owners are true nice and humble people. They make you feel loving and welcome, while they pour you their best wines so you can try and choose your favorites. Prices are amazing no argument. Once you try that wine you will know what I'm talking about. I usually travel 30 min to go to their winery and buy it personally from owners. I support local, and I think we all should!

purchased the wine our YMM Fall Trade show (a white wine) had to dump it out as the smell was horrible and the taste was even worse. I asked a friend to smell and taste the wine and we both felt it had gone bad. So much for wine for christmas dinner. I have not tried the other 7 bottles but hope they are worth the money

Nice selection of wines and vinegars bought the peach vinegar very yummy and Mary Janes wine have not tried that yet, the pizza place in the back was OK got the margarita pizza just wasn’t very much basil or balsamic vinegar on it could of used more of that and a little bit of seasoning for $23 medium size pizza all in all not so bad crust very good was cooked in a brick oven I like that. Love Picton area. The vinegar was $29 for a bottle and the wine was 24.99 for the bottle the vinegar is more than a wine and less of it?

Warm, accommodating, and full of some incredible honey wines! Their beautifully renovated old barn is home to a cozy tasting bar and processing area. Definitely make sure you bring home a bottle of the Rosy! On a clear day the drive out is breathtaking so there's really no good reason to not visit if you're ever nearby.

Spirit Hills is a wonderful family run business with wonderful wine! My favorites are the medium dry white Dande - made with dandelions, and the YeeHaa Sangria which is amazing on its own and mixed. Have had only good experiences with them :) 100% recommend

We went here for my sister's birthday. We all loved it. We had arrived late and missed the last official tasting of the day. However they were kind enough to do a late tour and tasting with is. The wine here is superb and I will definitely be getting more.

Needed a pitstop and was recommended here for their pizza. Tasty meal, nicely spaced out patio and left happily full! Got their Aloha pizza with their garlic aioli. Quite delicious, toppings well balanced and flavored, the dough itself had a nice bite and chew that was perfect with the dip. Not much service: you just go pick it up on the counter with no utensils or napkins. But you can make do since it's just pizza. There's a porta potty outside but they also have a washroom inside the wine room

These guys were incredible! The tour and tasting was funny and informative. The wines were wonderful, there wasn't a bad wine in the lineup. The owners went out of there way for us, staying open late. Absolutely worth a visit.

Wow what a gem, first of all you MUST do a tasting here just to listen to the knowledge and then you MUST try the Vinegar! I know you are probably thinking vinegar, why must I try the vinegar? Ok I will explain we bought more vinegar than wine here, and the wine is amazing, so that should explain all about the vinegar.

They stole my daughter's recipes for their book. One they put the totally wrong name! We were looking forward to buying several recipe books for friends and family and now can't! The other recipe they just plain took for their own with 0 credit given to her! No integrity what so ever! Never an apology. Only 'we'll think about changing it when we reprint' Today they told us they won't reprint. So no credit. That's stealing! No apology. No compensation. No integrity!

Excellent wine. If you like your wine a bit sweeter, this is the place for you. If you don't... well, try it anyways ;-) They have a good selection, friendly knowledgeable staff, and tours. There are a few people who ship it across the country because they like it so much. Their specialty port wine is incredible, thus worth the in person visit, with a fun story behind it as well.

I recently decided to ask my girlfriend of almost 5 years to marry me. After much contemplation as to how to pop the question, I came across Spirit Hill Winery in Millarville, AB. I loved that they were a local wine producer that also happened to be approaching their 5 year anniversary. I was also intrigued by how they make their wine: HONEY! As my girlfriend adores wine and honey/bees it was the ideal choice. Upon letting the owner’s Ilse and Hugo in on my intentions, they were ecstatic to help me with my proposal. They were incredibly accommodating in helping me set up my engagement even after closing hours. Ilse and Hugo treated us to an informative wine tour and provided us samples of the 5 best wines that we have ever tasted. We will continue to enjoy their unique and exquisite wines for years to come. The amount of passion they have put into creating their wines, as well as, my engagement plan, was extraordinary. They truly made my engagement special. She said yes! The wine may have helped ;)

Very disappointed at the lack of integrity and the deception from a business. They're making money off of stolen intellectual property with their cookbooks by not giving credit to whom submitted the recipes. Because I realize mistakes happen they were made aware of it, but did nothing in sorts of recognition nor an apology. I was told that when they reprint they may change it and give me a proper copy, but today was told that they absolutely will not reprint. As someone who's always worked with customers and clients, I couldn't imagine treating someone with such disrespect. Response:Spirit Hills if we're setting the record straight, at no point was I given a cookbook, nor was so much as a public apology. I signed a form that you may use my re recipe under the pretense of having my name and my second recipe is actually in there, I have the original to prove it. I understand making honest mistakes which is why there was ample opportunity to correct it, I myself published a cookbook where I missed a letter in a girl's name... so I redid the book from scratch, ordered her one to give free and issued a statement of my deepest regret. As for using my mom's recipes, I don't see where I ever mentioned them in the review, so it's rather irrelevant. The very fact that the incident happened in 2017 and I'm only reviewing now, shows 2 years of patience and optimism, believing your word about correcting it and checking every market hoping it's been followed through on. Now to be giving false information makes the matter worse.

We came for a wine tasting weekend and started here. We spent over an hour here and by far this was the best wine tasting….why? The host explained everything and made it so much fun! The vinegar tasting was awesome too. I definitely say that when someone spends time with your group and explains in detail it really does go a long way. Discovered Spirit Hills wine at a farmers market and now buy it all the time. Dande is an interesting white which is a nice change from what we normally drink and Bonfire was a big hit at Christmas served as our mulled wine. Love, love, love!!

We arrived on Canada Day and were able to join a tour that was just starting. Very educational with information about how the honey is harvested, the wine is made, and the history of the winery. Owners are warm, friendly and very knowledgeable about their product-you can tell they love what they do. The wines themselves are unique and delicious. It's a short drive from Calgary and worth the trip, highly recommend.

We were there on time, in fact 10 min earlier. Tour started 15 min late as the speaker Hugo was waiting for people. We had an appointment at 3 in Calgary downtown and the tour was supposed to start at 1 pm. So the tour should have started on time and be respectful of people’s time. Children get bored so don’t take them. The wines were good
