It was sad when I discovered this beautiful independant wine shop right before I'd no longer be around to go much but for the few times I went I was absolutely blown away by the great selection and the staff. Backs onto a little cooking shop you should also look into or sign up for a cooking class with - a nice change from the usual.

First time in the city, was told to check Metrovino, I am glad I did, I found the staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond for me. They have a pretty large store with good selection! Since I am new to the area, parking was a challenge but there is parking at the back.

Great selection of wines and some really knowledgeable staff. Good place to go if you want to grab a nice bottle of something. Parking out front is tough but you can also park around the back side of the building. Part of a cool building and you never know what else you end up buying!

Honestly, my friends and I did a pub crawl of the best wine bars in the province tonight. And there's no way that the wine bars gave us better experience than Meteovino did. They tuned into our preferences, made us feel welcome, and set the bar for a high level of service. The wines we drank today from Metrovino far surpassed anything we paid for from restaurant industry professionals. Brilliant work. Best wine store in the province by far, especially if you care about what you drink. Our experience wasn't pushy, we all agreed it was inspiring. Go here if you love wine. Customer for life.

A great wine selection and friendly/knowledgeable staff. The only thing I would say is perhaps the staff can be too friendly. I went shopping for a bottle and half the staff was looking, preoccupied at my selection. I get you want to help but it's a little strange. One of the staff asked if he could take the burden of holding the bottle of wine off my hands, strange interaction. Anyways thanks for the wine! ????

Great place with incredible management. Kudos for using paper bags instead of plastic. I went into the store looking for a gift. As I walking home the bag ripped and the wine shattered to the ground in front of me! I went back to the store and the staff was incredibly understanding. Replaced the bottle for me with no added cost. Support local! Thank you Metrovino.

Just wasn't a good experience for me. Probably not my lucky day like everyone here. I read all the good reviews here and wanted to see it myself. So I'm from Vancouver, is my first time to visit this shop. The lady staff there was very kind, unfortunately, this is not a shop I will visit again. Just to conclude my visit, it was a shame for everything I love about wines. A younger man quoted me an egon muller 15 auslaese for a price that I've agreed, and suddenly he said sorry is half a bottle. Before my visit, I saw online he has a 1981 Spanish wine which I wanted to buy, 5 bottles in stock. Both on their website and on wine searcher. As I know, if you are in wine searcher website, the wines must be available for purchase. Long story short, he said we don't have it but I can have the 96 for the same price. Haha.. 96 won't be the same price. You can cheat somebody for sometime, but not all the time. That's what I want to say. They are making teasers for people on their website to visit them and buy "other" wines or their "recommendation" instead. Hmmm.. NO. You don't do that. Dishonesty get you no where.
