A really cool place that offers wine samples of import wines and sells beer in growlers off one of six tapped kegs that change regularly. Visit it and see if you find any beer or wine that tickles your fancy! I sure did.

Marker wines offer lots of bottles you won’t find anywhere else (e.g. Israeli wines!). The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. The average price of a bottle is a little higher than at your basic wine store but that’s because you won’t find basic wines here!

Absolutely unreal services they’ll be getting all of my business henceforth. All of their staff are extremely knowledgeable about wines which makes purchasing enjoyable and informative. They were able to suggest wines based on my preferences which does not happen at a grocery type liquor store. They carry a variety of interesting and difficult to find wines. So friendly and kind and even offer delivery. I was lucky to have my wines delivered the same day as ordering without an additional fee. We were able to enjoy a bottle with dinner as a result. Cannot recommend enough, and glad to support local!!

An excellent shop for wine and beer lovers. Ever changing taps and wine tastings, knowledgeable staff that is willing to answer any questions you may have. Fill up a growler from one of the 5 rotating taps. I like to go in and just wait for a staff member to ask if I need help. They are in the know and take the time to be with you. Only open from Thursday to Sunday to coincide with Calgary Farmers Market hours.

Huge selection of wine. They have events all the time for tastings, which include samples of wine and beer, with cheese, and meat, and entertainment. Follow them on Instagram and look for their events. Great place.

Love this place, the staff is really knowledgable and gives great recommendations. Can get some of my favorite BC wines from smaller wineries that I haven't seen elsewhere. The local beer selection is great and ever changing in case you can't make it to the barley belt regularily it is a one stop shop. We fill growlers here all the time, new kegs every week

I was here for the beer, and I wasn't disappointed. Was waylaid at the door by a very friendly employee, and got to have a great chat about regional trends in craft beer. Tried a few samples from the growler bar, and he pointed out a few very interesting bottles that I missed on my own. I'll definitely be going back just for the service, but the growler bar is also a nice touch, and they've got some neat beers I haven't seen elsewhere in the city.

This may be my favourite wine store in Calgary. I cannot say enough about the amazing staff. They are friendly and are eager to offer tips, suggestions or just help you with your ever-growing basket of purchases. Their beer selection is absolutely on point, including a wide range of international and domestic beers. They offer growlers though I haven't tried them out yet. My most recent visit yielded 5 different bottles of sparkling wine for the holidays, plus a few loose cans of different IPAs. Market Wine is an absolute win.

Just left the store. Yes a great selection but i wanted to buy a couple cases of wine for a promotion. Wasn't sure what i wanted and nobody was around to help. Well not quite. I got to hear one guy talk about Star Wars and the Disney channel. Turned out he worked at the store. When i went to pay, the young lady taking my money asked if i had a club card, which i do not, but offered no information on it or if it applied to my purchase. Which was $260. She boxed my wine and pushed it out of the way for the next client. No info, not even a thank you. I would have left without a single item but was in a rush. Should know that my intent was to purchase two cases. Not the service level i expected at all. No comment on prices as i don't know enough about wine prices to say a thing. Will definitely look around for the balance. And i hate giving poor reviews to local businesses, but zero service.

This is a favorite wine store. There are other favorites like Willow Park and a store in Marda loop but what makes this store different from those stores is they search out small batch and boutique winery's that are both fabulous and well priced. Well worth the trip to check them out.

I have visited both locations of Market Wines and the are both outstanding. Staff are friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I belong to a wine club but these will become my go to for picking up wines for new tries. I have enjoyed each bottle I have purchased and friends and family have enjoyed their gifts. Nice variety of wines, very limited selection of other alcohols (i.e. rum, scotch) but its a wine store. They also have a selection of local beer. Prices didnt seem to be crazy when compared to others like Crowfoot and Willow Park

What was more interesting was how many people go there for the wine selection. The place was busy but the staff were extremely helpful and patient and all were very friendly. The store isn't that large but clearly folks like what they sell. I'll go back.

Simply my favourite place to purchase wine. Sarah, Sharon, Connor et all provide the best in knowledgeable customer service. Many times when I walk into the store and start looking at the wonderful selections they will bring me a sample to try from the week's selection (sign up to receive a weekly email that provides detailed information on the week's wine specials and other key information that will assist anyone in making a choice of what to buy). I always purchase based on their recommendations and have never been disappointed. I am impressed and will continue to be a loyal customer for a long time to come.
