Here you will see all the reviews of people like you who are purchasing the services of Larch Hills Winery (Winery) in the area of Alberta (Canada).
Nowadays this business gets a score of 4.6 over 5 and this rating has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is almost the top, and it is based on a high number of feddbacks, so we may say that the valuation is very reliable. If people have bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to set feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Winery belongs to the category of Winery.
Extremely friendly staff amazing location and views with top knotch wines.
One of my favorite winery's towards the north. Love the Reserve Foch and best price in town. If you get a chance please try the wine as it is comparable to Grey Monk and Summerhill Pyramid. The only thing is the drive up the winery is rocky and not paved.
Love this place !!! Such good wine . Hazel is fantastic
Beautiful winery! The host was extremely nice and the wine tasting was great. Reasonable prices and delicious wines. Also, great views! We will be definitely coming back in the summer.
Great wine, beautiful place, real people building a winery and the secret is getting out...
So glad we found this gem. Surprisingly great wine and beautiful vineyard views. Lovely small family running this business.
Cute place! Delicious wine!
Love this place !!! Such good wine . Hazel is fantastic
A lovely experience walking the vineyard to see the grapes and vines. Spectacular views of Salmon Arm and Mountains from the fields, friendly and lovely staff. The wine tasting was a great vibe, with views of the vineyard as you sip. Wines are delicious and very reasonably priced! Would visit ten times over for a relaxed afternoon experience. Cheers Larch Hills!
I have been delighted with all their wines, and picking a favorite is difficult. We don't have wine often, but now exclusively drink Larch Hills.
(Translated) My favorite winery in Canada! A trip is definitely worth it. Very nice owner. Jack & Hazel do a very good job and are wonderful hosts. The view is fantastic! Can also be booked for events. A call in advance is recommended. I am looking forward to the next visit! (Original) Mein Lieblingsweingut in Canada! Ein Ausflug lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Sehr nette Inhaber.
What a great place! Worth the drive up the hill. Very generous with tasting all of their wines, which were all great and very reasonably priced.
Your wine is fantastic. I wanted to take a bottle of everything home with me. Staff was very informative and super friendly. Thank you for the awesome experience.
Went in there early in the morning. It wasn't busy then so we were able to spent more time with the tasting room staff. She was a lovely lady and very energetic. Great service and good wines. It's the first winery in the shuswap area do it's a must visit place.
I recommend a drive to this lovely boutique winery. The setting, which overlooks the Okanagan Valley, is astonishingly beautiful. Hazel and Jack are the perfect hosts. They will welcome you warmly and invite you to enjoy a walk around their vineyard. There are also some very pretty picnic tables where you can bring lunch or just enjoy the view. The wines are amazing. I have brought guests here and we've all had a great tasting of the specialty wines. Five stars! Wendy Browne
Great winery.... beautiful view and amazing wines We tried the Ortega and Cab Sav with friends and loved them.... we made a trip out to the Okanagan and took a drive up to the hills to Larch Hills. We were met at the door by a very lovely lady who was picking up the kids toys off the deck... as we walked past the great big ole puppy laying there and into the tasting room we were greeted by another lovely lady behind the counter... We bellied up to the bar and tasted some amazing wines... considering we went in to get 8 bottles for our friends we left with 25 bottles and will be buying so much more. They have a wine club that we will be joining as the prices are amazing and we can get it delivered to our place in Alberta for super cheap. If you are passing through the North Okanagan or Shuswap you need to make the trek up the mountain to the highest winery in British Columbia... You won't be disappointed!!!!
The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The wine was fantastic! I would definitely recommend checking out this winery!
Wonderful host, really nice wine and affordable.
Never sure what to expect of a smallish winery especially on Canada Day. We called ahead and we're assured they were open. The view from the entrance of the winery is amazing. As I said it's a smallish winery and when we walked up to the door it was locked up, but there was a not to press their intercom or call a number. As we pressed the call button a wonderful young lady walked around the corner to let us in for a tasting. She had been busy working on the vines but was very friendly and knowledgeable when it came to the wines. As we've come to expect there was a list of all the wines they have and their properties, and with each tasting she walked us through we got to experience those properties. We were not disappointed. Our experience was first class.
Awesome winery, great staff, nice tasting
Rhino the ???? security is a must meet
Lovely winery, with such a handsome big dog!
We visited the winery 3 years ago and would love to go back. The wines were phenomenal and need to purchase some more. ????????
Underwhelming, to put it mildly. The shop was a tiny bit crowded when my boyfriend and I visited so we patiently waited for a space to open at the bar. A woman behind the counter made eye contact with us, but made no effort to engage in tasting or even to say that she'd see us in a moment and we had to call her over for a tasting. The pours were pitifully small, as if they had been dispensed using an eye dropper and each bottle was placed down with an audible thud as if to say 'what do you want now?'. Overall, the service was quite prickly and uninviting, would not be surprised if it was her first time working hospitality. We walked out with only one bottle (the cheapest) as we always buy no matter where we taste.
It is honestly breathtaking here. Gorgeous vineyards with a peaceful ambiance. There are so many wines to sample, and they were honestly all great. The whole staff were really personable and it was just an amazing experience. Bottles are priced incredibly fair. Hope to definitely come back.
Loved the experience! It is a family owned winery and we feel welcomed and enjoyed the vibe! Tasty wines selection with a beautiful view! Highly recommend it

Great experience! A pit stop driving across Canada! Open all year, this winery had nice diversity and very accessible wines. A good place to find something you like to pair with the right meal.
Far away but really worth it for a tasty wine! It's a lovely place to visit and try the different kind os flavors that this winery offers you. Come and try it!!
Worth the stop people.
(Translated) Larch Hills Winery is located in the Okanagan Valley and is run by Jack and Hazel Manser. Jack has continuously expanded his winery in recent years and maintains Canadian quality wines. These wines have a very cultivated country wine character and are ideal with meat, fish or cheese. The wines taste of Valais or wines from the Bündner Herrschaft. Jack likes to welcome Canadian wines to Switzerland resp. sell to Europe. Canadian wines are 'Cool wines' for the good. I am absolutely shocked by how rude one can be. The lady there was so rude that she didn't even bother to offer or even say a "hi" to us and the funny part is we were the only ones there.

A beautiful place and a fantastic experience. A must-visit winery in all seasons that offers gorgeous wines and friendly service.
Absolutely beautiful location, the landscape is very picturesque. Nice outdoor seating areas to enjoy a glass of wine. The staff was very friendly, and the winery dog was super friendly :) They have an extensive list of wines and bottles for sale at very reasonable price points.
Megan was absofruitly amazing!!!
Megan was absofruitly amazing!!!
Excellent local winery!!! The girls are great... they also have a spectacular view up there, would be a great place to picinic in summer
Absolutly amazing place. A big variety of wine. You can taste anything you want. Very reasonable price. Very friendly stuff. We usually walk away with at least a box of wines.
This local secluded winery offers delicious wines for everyone to test. The happy to help staff, brings a tasting experience to the next level. Already looking forward to visiting again!
Very very very rude people. I am so sorry to visit this place.
Great smooth wine, beautiful views, kind staff and a friendly dog.
Must visit and try great wines every time we pass through Salmon Arm
Amazing spot, friendly staff and adorable dog. Highly recommend visiting here
They have the best riesling white wine.
Their Ortega is tops!
Delicious wines, especially the whites. Family owned business - kind and customer friendly. They were generous with their wine tasting portions!

Excellent winery ..keeps us coming back every year on our holidays

Small winery, friendly
One of the most beautiful winery locations I have visited. We tasted everything! Lots of delicious options. FYI - the red grapes are not grown here. This is a great option for anyone who likes northern wines (German, etc). The staff were very welcoming and informative. Bring your own snack or picinic.
Guidance on how to get a one-star review: 1. Leave your huge dog unleashed in the parking lot to welcome the customers; 2. Let your huge dog stand up to give the customer an uninvited hug, without letting go.Make sure that the dog leaves dirt on the customer's coat; 3. Greet the customer by saying "let go or I will smack you"... to the dog of course, and make sure you talk to the dog only; 4. Give the customers self-defence advices, such as "don't laugh when the dog stands up to hold onto you, cuz he would think that you like it. Just pretend you wanna smack it", without even thinking about leashing the dog; 5. See that a customer is apparently terribly scared of the dog and do nothing. The solution is simple: USE SOME COMMON SENSE AND LEASH THE DOG! DO NOT HIRE A LADY IN THE TASTING ROOM WHO APPARENTLY KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Had a great wine tasting with fabulous wines. The young woman behind the counter was very personable. Even with other customers in the shop we were acknowledged when we walked in. She was able to speak intelligently about the wines we were tasting and easily answered our questions. The young man we spoke to later was absolutely great and talked quite readily about the wine making process and the vines. I would definitely recommend going for the tasting and the education if you're interested enough to ask.
One of the best wine tours in BC. Amazing friendly staff and will allow you to try every wine they have. Beautiful hill side hideaway.
Really beautiful vineyard! The wine was absolutely amazing, and the beautiful drive was completely worth it! :)
Worth the climb. Delicious ????
Small family winery with amazing wine
This was a beautiful location, it felt like you were honestly in another country. The wines were really good, however we were only able to try some. I would not advise visiting on the long weekend as it is busy and you do feel rushed, however they were trying to allow everyone a chance to try some wine. I would still go back, just it would be on a less busy day.
Please ignore the 1 star reviews... the family dogs are adorable and so gentle and kind. This was some of the best wine we’ve ever tasted - at a surprisingly reasonable price. We will be sure to return every summer and order shipments back home to Calgary.

Wonderful little winery, Evan was so friendly and knowledgeable!
Amazing wine. Great location, amazing view. A must visit even for locals
Beautiful place, great wines????
Probably the best service I've had at a winery with amazing wine. An added bonus the family dog Rhino is sweet and adorable.
We decided to just go to a winery while we were on the road leaving Kamloops and we came upon this treasure. What a great find. We bought all the bottles we tasted - and we couldn’t be happier. The freshest most delightful wines. Thank you!!!
Absolutely out of this world wines, but what really made the visit for us was Emily! She was fun and easygoing while displaying an amazing knowledge of their wines. I would go again for the variety and delicious wines but I'll go out of my way to meet Emily again
Very nice experience, the gentleman was very friendly and knowledgable. It was getting busy but they had us tasting in no time and then we enjoyed a glass outside overlooking the vineyard. Definitely will be back.
Outstanding wine tour. the owner toured my wife and I around the winery for about an hour. He was very thorough, polite, and pleasant. Answered all of our questions and we never felt rushed. If you want a detailed explanation of the wine making process this tour delivers!
Very friendly, awesome view and all the wines we tasted were delicious.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They had several wines that we liked and at very resonable prices. Definitely going to check out their wine club options.
Great wines, very nice location and open all year round, Dailey from 9-5 5 * by trip advisor. child/ pet friendly
Larch Hills Winery was my first experience at a winery. I had a wonderful visit and mini-tour with the friendly and informative staff and found a new favourite, "Mad Angie"!
Delicious tasting and Russ is a very interesting fellow. Excited about their new winery!
The tasting was complimentary, all wines were available for tasting unlike most of the wineries we've visited. We made this our first and last winery on our week of touring the Okanagan, by far the best white wine. Very reasonably priced, between $13-$16 a bottle! The property was beautiful, and the dog Rhino is a sweetheart!
Great little winery - excellent selection of whites. Highest elevation for a winery in NOrth America. Must see.
Definitely worth the trip up to the winery! Just a small section of no pavement! I paid under $20.00 dollars for the same quality of wine that would be $30.00 and up in the Kelowna area! Also the girl who service you os amazing
The wine and views are great, but the extremely rude staff made the experience unpleasant.
This our second year visiting this winery. Unlike other comments, we found the people quite welcoming. Mind you, we visited mid-week and had only a few people there at the same time. Last year we focused on the whites, all of them quite delicious. Our favorite was the rose. This year we tried the riesling, Gerwurtztraminer and Pinot Gris (all wonderful). I also tried the Marechal Foch Reserve which is very smooth. All in all, a winery worth driving to (gravel road included)
Came to this winery in a whim. If your interested in sweeter wines I wouldn’t recommend this one. The cab sav was our favourite, service could have been better. Didn’t seem like they were overly excited to have us.
Excellent experience. Sometimes you need to call ahead to be sure the proprietors are around, but the experience is superb. And the wines are all excellent and unique. Will definitely drive there again.
Very nice wines
Great wine, wonderful people, beautiful views. Highly recommend.
Our favourite Wynyard in Salmon arm. We have been visiting this place every year for the last 5 years, always trying to adjust our trip so we can come and enjoy glass of wine on there beautiful patio. Thank you Sasha and the girls for being always friendly and accommodating! Will see you next year !
friendly people
Friendly staff. Delicious wine!
Excellent Wine!
Great atmosphere. Great wine
Great wines. My wife and I favor the wines over most Okanagan wines. Gewürzt is by far my favorite, as well as mad Angie.
Loved the view. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced, good wines. Free samples.
Great Service and friendly people!
Terrible sign posts we gave up
Wines are very nice and decently priced and, view is incredible, staff is super friendly, the Malbec is wonderful.
Loved this place, so many excellent wines to choose from and a very knowledgeable and friendly sommelier. View on the drive in is amazing. My favourite of the day.
We always had a great experience at this winery. The views are worth the drive. The tasting room is smaller.
