What a lovely little place! I saw an ad for this place on Facebook and decided for something fun to do, I would drive out from Calgary to meet up with a friend there. It really isn’t bad for a day drive; it is about the same distance as Red Deer and you just turn West at Innisfail instead of going straight. It was well labelled once you got close to the farm and the staff were lovely and welcoming. My friend and I spend the afternoon and then stayed for their special Friday Bootlegger Brisket dinner. We had a lovely time picking Saskatoons and also went on their little bat scavenger hunt/trivia walk. They have two little walks around the property that would be so much fun with kids. And the dinner! Wow! They had all sorts of options for our complimentary drink: wines, liqueurs, beers and a lovely lemonade cocktail as well as special dry options for the designated drivers or those who might be unable to drink. They had the dinner in a scenic stand of trees near the cafe bar and it was such a lovely community atmosphere with the owners mingling among the guests the whole time. And the chef knocked the dinner out of the park. Generous portions, cooked and seasoned to perfection. All the tables around us were a buzz about how amazing the food was. We got had actor there providing an interpretation of the family who farmsteaded the farm and we enjoyed some fresh baked Saskatoon pie and their own gelato. Well worth the price of the dinner! I will definitely visit again. What a great experience! We were having so much fun however that we completely forgot to take pictures but I feel like that in itself is the sign of a good time.
