I've never done business with BrandLume so I cannot comment about that specifically. What I can comment on is that they are using other designers' work and passing it off as their own portfolio work on their website. They have quite literally downloaded images from different online design communities and uploaded those images to their website. These images are from a host of different freelance designers and ad agencies. One such image is actually from my own work as a student in college. I'll take this as a compliment but it's absolute hilarity. No credit to the original content creators are given. Unfortunately, I need not know anything else about this business or their practices because this is highly unethical and unprofessional.
---UPDATE 1---
In response to BrandLume's reply, I’ve gone to their “Marketing Collateral Design Services” page and looked at their previous designs under their “Postcard” package. A simple Google image search has revealed that of the 11 images in that package, all 11 of them are stolen from these designers:
Trevor Rogers
Jessica Miller
Diogo Sampaio
Schuyler Hames
Sonia Fdez
Kyla Tom
Gredina Valya
Karolina Novitska
Emiliano Pasini
OW Pictures
Pawel Pych
On this page alone, BrandLume also offers “Leaflet," “Poster," “Brochure," “Roll-up Banner," “Billboard," “Menu," and “Trade Show Booth” packages that contain images of previous designs. All of them contain images that are stolen from a variety of designers across the web. Even the image carousel on the top of the page contains images that are stolen. And this is only one of many pages on their website.
You’ve got no ground to stand on, BrandLume. You absolutely do/did not employ all of these designers. And you also used one of my images on your “Complete Custom Product Packaging & Label Design Services” without my permission. That’s theft. It’s like a writer using Mark Twain or Stephen King’s work as “writing samples” in their portfolio.
