I rented two pairs of skis in November. They charged me an extra $21 for service (for little scratch under the skis), first time in my life a rental shop would dare to charge a customer an extra fee. I have rented ski for more than 20 years ! They charged the same fees to other clients the same day. Other clients were charged on Trip Advisor. It is a scam !

We decided to take the RV on a last minute adventure and ended up going through the mountains. We weren’t prepared to hike or even walk very far. We had 2 dogs with us and stopped to see if we could get a pair or hikers. With Covid and everything being closed, they were also closed, we pulled on the door and it was locked. As we were walking away a very nice man came outside and asked if he could help. He allowed us to try on hikers and then let is buy them. He was very kind and helpful. Will definitely come back. Thank you.

My friend and I were camping at Lake Louise and on our first of four nights we discovered our MSR camping stove would not light...not good. I'd never had this issue before and after messing with it for a while with no success decided to see if there was a mountain shop in town. We brought the stove to Wilson Mountain Sports and the staff could not have been more helpful, offering tips and suggestions. One of the staff members (did not get his name) offered to let us set it up outside and help us get it working again. We did so and he was able to unclog the fuel line with a makeshift tool and it was good to go. We felt bad because we didn't need to buy anything at the store but he was genuinely just happy to help, and I can imagine this applies to paying customers even more so. Thanks Wilson Mountain Sports for saving our camping trip!

Great store in Lake Louise for hiking gear. The prices are reasonable considering where it's located. I've rented mountaineering axes and crampons from this store twice and the rental rates are very reasonable. The gear also worked well and I was able to rent it for a few days.

Had a pair of boots fitted here. They felt a bit big in the store. But the fitter said it anything smaller was too small. Exchanged them after one day as my feet were swimming in them. Wanted to try two sizes smaller. But once again the fitter said anything under one size smaller would be way too small. This was already performance fit. After ten days of using the new boots I'm already excited for them to wear out so I can justify buying new boots from a different store. Have to buckle them to the point of pain for them to feel like they are moving with my feet. The owner of the store is really nice. But definitely feel like I would have been much better off not listening to the fitters. They just lead me to boots that are too big and don't fit my feet well.

The staff there actually knows what they are talking about. It was nice because I had never been on a snowboard when I bought my board. But they advised me something good and not too expensive. And it really worked at well even when I reached an advanced level. I bought my snowboard and boots there before the season started they had a good sale that apparently they do every year a week before the start of the season. I got my gear for a really good price in the exchange rental section. Everything lasted for the whole season. They heat mold the boots for free as well. And if you buy skis and binding they mount the bindings for free. One of my glove broke on the second day. They exchanged it straight away no questions asked even though the glove was bought on sale. I bought a backpack at the retail store at the lake Louise ski resort and a part of it broke the same week. I went to the retail store and they said they couldn't help. I went to Wilson they contacted manufacturer and got me something to replace it. So Wilson>Lake Louise ski resort retail store. I also rented x-country skis there a couple times 25$/day. Really happy with the skis I was given. I just wish they would do half day rentals as well as full day. But oh well.

My hiking boots broke the day before, so I had to bite the bullet and buy a new pair in Lake Louise. While the staff was very friendly, they weren't very helpful in the selection process. I ended up buy boots that turned out to be too wide in the front, causing pain on the downhill parts of our later hikes.

I managed to wonder into the store to buy new ski poles. I happened to be dealing with the most arrogant sales man I have ever encountered. The man was so arrogant that made me to sit down behind my desk and write about it. Please sir treat people with respect so they can spend more time skiing than typing these reviews. Good place to get the missing gear before the adventure starts. Staff was friendly and helpful and they have a great variety of goods: - Biking clothing - hikibg clothing - gear (gas cooking, camping chair etc.) - tents and sleeping bags If you need anything you'll find it there.

They care about your overall experience in boot comfort and ski performance. Demo multiple models, try various boots and skis. Ask for their help and suggestion across the board for goggles, face protection, etc... They will help you enjoy your vacation.

One gentleman (the owner?) gave me helpful advice on ski boots in the morning. Later on I came back to buy them for about 750 CAD or so. Travis was doing the molding. I met Travis already a few days before and he didn’t say anything useful when I asked for boots. The gentleman changed my decision from not buying (because of Travis) to buying. Well, after the moulding he asked for 10 Dollars for disposing my old boots and another 10 Dollars for setting the binding of the new boots to my ski. Agreed to all that. Then I had to fill a form (which I didn’t need to fill in the morning when the binding was also set in the same shop). After I filled everything including my hotel etc. he insisted also on my private phone number and refused service without it saying it is required for setting the binding. He apparently does not understand that the phone number makes only sense when renting. I lost trust and left. With the binding not set.

We decided to rent our gear here instead of the ski resort, and it was a great decision. There was no wait time, the staff was friendly and gave good recommendations, plus we got a discount for renting multiple days. They also had a nice selection for other stuff such as winter clothing (some of which with decent discounts), cute t-shirts and stickers which were awesome souvenirs to bring back home. Definitely recommended!

We stopped in to buy some x-country ski's. We had Lindsay help get us set up properly. She was really helpful and was great to deal with! She even set us up with some rental bikes and showed us a few trails we could try out. The store has a lot of quality outdoor clothing and gear. Such a great store!

Fantastic service. My son broke the tip of his ski while on a trip at Lake Louise . We needed a rental for the next day. The staff at Wilson recommended a couple of skis based on his skiing style. After trying a couple of rentals over the next couple trips, we decided to buy. The one he wanted had just gone on sale, we got mounting of bindings before they closed, and even a discount on a new set of poles. They also didn't charge us for the rental on the day we purchased skis at the end of the day. Next on the list, I'm going to rent some trial skis /boots to help decide new equipment for me.

Unbelievable!!! I came here to purchased a bear spray. The “manager” never talked to me about the possibility of renting it and now he doesn’t want to refund me !!! Your tickets is literally saying that you guys accept returns within the 7 days after the purchase !!! Scam !

All ways a great stop ... tried a new product in there rental fleet .. (forgot my own x-country foot were) .. so I got a chance to try the skis with the mole skin strips on it .. went on the .... "tramline" from bottom.. no slips and so light compared to my touring gear... and coming down .... bliss. Thanks everyone..

After riding from Canmore I broke a spoke riding up to Lake Louise. I called the shop to see if they could repair, and they said they could. They managed to fix the spoke very quickly.
