As the Chair of Community Justice Initiatives of British Columbia Board, I was head of a small working group that worked with Original Ginger to produce a short video regarding a restorative justice program in Langley schools. I'd be dishonest if I said I liked the process from the outset. Todd and Lisa are both quite professional, and demand that their clients be clear and concise in what they want Original Ginger to actually do. We were quite taken aback by their directness (which forced us to be far more clear in our own minds as well), but came to understand the immense value of this approach as the project progressed to culmination with a short video that we believe to be really excellent. I'd encourage potential clients to look past this demanding part of the Original Ginger approach, to try to understand why their experience dictates its necessity. It's annoying (to say the least) when someone you are wanting to hire to do something is demanding that you do your part first (when you think you have already done it), before they will work. However, I believe if a client chooses to accept the guidance, the end result will be more than satisfactory. Certainly, that was our experience. Our second initiative with Original Ginger was the creation of a new web site for Community Justice Initiatives. Again, this process was managed professionally, and with a great deal of due regard for the unique characteristics of a non profit organization that performs very unique work in our society. Their patience with us, and their creative design work has been really excellent. The whole experience has been very positive. I suspect that working with non profit organizations is quite different from for profit companies. Original Ginger chose to make the adjustments necessary. I'd recommend their work without hesitation.
